In alternate universe Equestria, a pegasi named Double Beat has a problem with staying awake. It's good that his dreams help him write his books, but they don't do much for his acedemics and the world famous college; Guardian Academy.

After a reoccurring vision hits him mid flight, Double Beat has the misfortune of crashing into Rainbow Dash, one of the academies top students, and plummets to the ground to meet her friends. As an underachiever at the school, he doesn't quite fit in with this crowd, but finding a crowd he does fit in with will be a challenge all on it's own. And things get really bad when Doublebeat learn a story about a curse that may change the fate of not only Equestria, but in time all of Equis.

And he's the catalyst destined to start it all.
