Nothing Special

       Peppermint looked at the ground as tears ran down her face. She was soaked with tears. A stallion walked past her.

     "Um... Ma'ma are you alright?" The stallion asked.

Peppermint did what she always did when somepony asked her that.

     "Oh, nothing... These are tears of joy, sir," Peppermint forced a smile.

     "Oh, well then, I'm sorry to bother you ma'am," The stallion smiled.

The same thing everypony said and did. She looked down at the ground and cried all the way home. Ponies asked her the same question over and over again. She said the same thing over and over again. Nopony saw her flank, mostly because she covered it up with her tail. A yellow stallion past her and stopped.

     "Peppermint?" The pony asked.

Peppermint looked up. She was ready to force a smile but stopped and stared. She froze as she looked at the stallion. This stallion was yellow with a blue mane a tail. His cutie mark was a lightning bolt with a blueberry in front. No wings or horn just an earth pony. This was Blueberry Blast, her fillyhood best friend. Blueberry saw her cheeks.

     "What's wrong?" Blueberry asked.

     "W-What... This- Nothings wrong... It- Oh... nothing," Peppermint's mind raced searching for an answer.

     "Yes there is something wrong, now tell me," Blueberry frowned.

Peppermint's eyes filled with tears. She moved her tail.

     "LOOK! Now you know! I'm not special! I'm different!" Peppermint yelled, tears running down her face.

Blueberry looked at her flank to she nothing. He stared at it.

     "Don't look at me!!!" Peppermint ran off to her house.

Peppermint cried all the way home. Her mind raced and raced thinking of Blueberry. He must hate her. She was different, not like him or anypony else.

     "Nopony will ever thing I'm the same!" Peppermint yelled to herself.

Blueberry ran after her.

     "She has no cutie mark... But she's a grown mare..." Blueberry asked himself. Questions raced through his head.

Peppermint reached her house. She ran in as she slammed the door. The only pony she had told... it was him.

     "WHY HIM?! I never told anypony! Why did I show him?! I did it but I didn't want to!" Peppermint cried.

Blueberry reached Peppermint's house. He heard her sobbing. He knocked on the door.

     "Peppermint Swirl? Can I come in? We need to talk," Blueberry sighed.
