Chapter 0: Madara: Know Despair

Slowly, I opened my eyes, to gaze up at the blue sky above. Slowly lifting myself off from the ground, I found myself in my traditional Uchiha garb. A black, turtleneck shirt with the clan symbol blazed into the back and black pants. Shifting my gaze from the sky to the surrounding area, I found it lacking in death. In scars of war. Most of all, I found it unfamiliar. What little chakra that was seeped into the soil was alien, but not unlike a summon animal’s ability to cast jutsu if it had lacked any way of casting.

Slowly I arose, with a dissatisfied humph. Why was I here, in a world far from my own? Did Hashirama Senju follow me here? Why was I now on the floor?

It was true, my body was alien, and as such could not support myself if I stood upright. Getting on my hands and feet, I growled with displeasure, but now I could wander, unprecedented. My location appeared to be some sort of badlands, with more rocks than actual sand, and desolate ruins than civilization. However, the strains of chakra I had noticed prior had slowly become fresher, and more apparent. It would not be unlike Hashirama to lead me to him, if he was, indeed here. But, this long trek without company nor mirror was beginning to take hold.

I had long come to the conclusion I was no longer in my human body, and my shadow proved equine in nature. However, there was also a long, pointed horn extruding from my head, almost like a weapon. Strapped to my back was my trusted gunbai, and I saw my kama sway beside my sleek body, which was unusually aerodynamic for an earthbound creature, such as myself. It had come to my mind several times to attempt to use jutsu in this form, to ensure I even still could, but I need not. I had access to the Rinnegan, most techniques requiring little to no handsigns.

However, utilizing it away from the public’s eye would prove an exponential waste of time, as frauds were commonplace.

“Halt. Who goes there?” I snapped out of my gaze, and looked upon a rocky hive, flowing with weak little insects. In front of me, were two somewhat less weak insects, both having multiple holes in their extremities. I quickly surveyed the area, and inwardly smiled at the prospect.

They needed a hero. A messiah. I happened to fit the bill, when it came to powers and reasons to fear.

“Silence, lambs,” I began, picking both up with little input from my limbs, “You are to escort me to your leader, and if I am satisfied with your services, you get to live. Am I clear?” I knew little of what society they had in place-democracy, monarchy-so ‘leader’ sounded like an appropriate term.

“We...don’t deal... with pony scum...” one crackled out. I chuckled, bringing the repulsive creature closer to my face. I could tell from his expression he was fearful, as he had full reason to be. Even if this wasn’t connected to the Ninja World, my powers were so grand, people shuddered when I entered the room.

“Oh? Isn’t that too bad... Tsukuyomi.” I tossed him aside as he released his tormented screams, “You’ll be as so kind to escort me, won’t you, Jason? Wouldn’t want that to happen to you, would you?” I asked, almost mockingly. The torture of the other was too easy, a temperamental torment to subdue me whilst I wait for the bigger fish. Apparently, this was a monarchy, headed by a queen. Not for much longer.

“Ri...right away, sir!” he stuttered, and lead me through the ‘city’. It was nothing but rock formations carved into houses, where obviously poverty stricken insect equines lived. I kept my head held low, as to give the illusion I was humbled by the insect in front of me. It would have worked, had he not been trembling and shaking the entire time.

Eventually, we reached a large citadel, in which I felt a somewhat decent power. Nothing in comparison to one such as I, but might give one of those senseless ‘Five Kage’ of the current generation a good fight, one on one. We quickly rushed through the checkpoints(after Jason explained what happened to his ally), and found ourselves in the throne room, in front of...

A child. A child with intent in her eyes to make someone pay, mind, but still a child. I suppressed a chuckle that such a fragile creature could give the granddaughter of my greatest enemy a difficult time. Surrounding her were a team of fearful advisers, giving a clear image of who was in charge.

“Jason Krueger, why do you bring a filthy pony into my castle?!” she demanded to know, looking at me accusingly, “Especially a member of the Equestrian Royal Family!?!”

“Is that how this is going to play out...?” I asked, aloud, clearly unintimidated. Everyone else but this ‘queen’ shrunk with my tone. “So, you have a backbone. Then, perhaps an explanation is in order. I am Madara Uchiha, The Second Six Paths, and your ruler. You, obey me now. I know not who this ‘Equestrian Royal Family’ is headed by, but I am an independant man, looking for land to rule.”

“And why, pray tell, should I not have my guards kill you on the spot, ‘Madara Uchiha’?” I chuckled, giving her a death glare of amusement. She reminded me of myself when I was in the war. She had enough spunk to spark my interest in her as my apprentice, but it would take a lot to make me approach her with it.

Clasping my hooves together, I decided to keep her in mind as a possible candidate for the Rinnegan. After a few moments of pouring my energy into a small, black ball, I released it in the air. It slowly made its way to a minimal safe distance of the city limits.

“I am getting tired of your games, Madara. Guards-” I cut her off before she could give the order.

Chibaku Tensei: Catastrophic Planetary Devastation!” I shouted, and, in a breakneck pace, all matter within the sphere of influence of the black ball was immediately pulled towards it, creating a heavenly body. It continued to grow, and grow, and grow, until I moved it upward into the upper atmosphere, and called off any further expansions... for now, at least. I looked at my new subjects with a demonic smirk on my face.

“Now you see how fruitless it will be to resist my power. As far as you and your kind are concerned, I am God.” I moved closer to the queen, before grasping her snout in my hooves, “And there is nothing you can do to stop the changes I will bring about, insect. If you behave, perhaps I’ll let you destroy the Equestrian Royal Family. But, for now, you follow me.” I glared, and she slowly nodded, before I released her. “Oh, and Jason?” I asked, motioning for him to come closer.

“What is it my Lo-AH!” the insect screamed as I pumped it with some of my chakra, inverting the black insect’s colors to white and red. The entire process, the insect kicked and screamed, hoping I would stop. However, once the transformation finished, he was calm, and aloof. The complete opposite of my headcanon for the guy.

“You are now my personal spy. Do as you please until I call for you.” He bowed, before flying away. My gaze then shifted unto the queen, who still held resistance to my power, but was wise enough to submit. “As for you... as you stand, you wouldn’t give me any trouble. And yet, you wish to fight an entire country, if the ‘Equestrian Royal Family’ is of any implication. However, in return for being so level headed about the scenario with which you were presented on the fly, I shall train you.”

“Why? What could you have to gain from teaching me anything?!” she shouted, glaring up at me with killer intent.

“A powerful ally. I would transform your kind from the poverty stricken castaways of society, into kings. You need not fret, for no challenge is too great for Madara Uchiha.”

‘It would seem as though things are going smoothly... So long as Hashirama doesn’t appear, I should be able to do this... however, I would need to survey the history of this world to know precisely what I am dealing with...’ I thought to myself, as she reluctantly agreed. I disposed of her advisers, and sat myself down on her throne.

“Now, to show this world what true despair is.” I chuckled to myself.
