Chapters The Nemesis shook as the muffled sounds of explosions hitting the haul could be heard from within the Decepticon warship. In a large hallway a Decepticon solder almost fell as he felt the floor shake from another hit caused by the battle outside of Cybertron's orbit. Like most of the other Decepticons he was mostly purple with grey as his secondary color. He had his faction's emblem which glowed light purple on both of his shoulders and a small one on his chest. The lights that ran up his shins and on his upper body were the same color. All he had for a face was just triangular visor that pointed downward and it gave off a reddish glow. Regaining his balance he continued on as he hurried towards the end of the hallway which lead him to a large arched door. He stood there for a second then suddenly with a loud hiss the door began to come apart. Some of the pieces span clockwise while others went the opposite as the door disappeared. He walked inside a large room where he saw a group of solders standing at the center of the room. He took a quick look at his surroundings. There were cables hanging from the ceiling and at the opposite end of the room was a terminal with several monitors that gave off a bright purplish glow. There were also rails at both the right and left side of the room that had what looked like giant armored cables resting on them.
As he made his way toward the other solders, he noticed that they were all taller than him which wasn't much of a surprise to him. He always was shorter than most of his fellow Decepticons, most of the other bots his height were assigned as scouts. He tried to hide the fact that his hands were shaking by tightly clinching them into fists and then relaxing them. He was very nervous, just five solar cycles ago he was just a mere maintenance bot. He thought he would be excited, he had always dreamed of this moment where he would finally become a solder and go out in the battlefield to fight for the Decepticon cause. Now here he was on The Nemesis, the ultimate warship, and at any nano-cycle he would be sent out into his first battle against the Autobots and in space no less. Then he heard a voice yell out from the group of solders.
"HEY YOU! SHORT STACK! get over here!" said one of the solders.
He hurried over to where the other bots were, the bot that called him was large and bulky, His eyes glowed violet and the lights on his shoulders were the same color. Although much of his paint had been scratched way from many battles, his head and shoulders were still dark purple and the rest of his body was green.
"So you're the new scout huh?, well I'm Hard Case your squad leader what is your name?" he said the large bot.
"Spincap, sir" he replied.
"Well Spincap you made it just in time I was just about to debrief your fellow soldiers on our mission so listen up all of you! As we speak Commander Soundwave is onboard the enemy ship and the moment he completely disables their defenses these tow cables will breach their haul. Our orders from Commander Vortex are as soon as their haul is breached we are to use these cables to cross over into the Autobot ship. According to Commander Soundwave's Intel we should be close to the ship's escape pods. Once we're inside our mission is to prevent any Autobot from reaching those pods. Remember, Lord Megatron does not want any of them escaping so that means we terminate any Autobot we see with extreme prejudice, is that understood?!" said the squad leader.
"YES, SIR!" the solders replied.
"GOOD!, SO STAY SHARP THE MOMENT COMMANDER VORTEX GIVES THE WORD WERE HEADING OUT!" Hard Case ordered.
While waiting some of the other soldiers were talking amongst themselves. More muffled booms could be heard as the room shook which caused Spincap's anxiety to return.
Primus what am I doing here he thought I know I always wanted this but I barely got any training and now they're sending us out into the enemy ship.
"Hey new guy," said one of the other soldiers breaking Spincap's train of thought.
"um yeah?" he replied.
This soldier was also taller than Spincap, unlike most of the soldiers he had a face instead of a visor. He also had shoulder plates that reached higher than his head and his forearms were massive. His paint scheme which also looked beaten was red and purple and his eyes glowed yellow.
"First mission huh?, nervous?" the solder asked.
"A little" Spincap answered.
"Well don't be, we got this," said the soldier; "Optimus and the other Autobots are running scared we pretty much got this war won. Names Roadway by the way and remember find cover and conserve your ammo use short bursts. Also be alert and keep your optics open you never know you might find some energon cubes or some ammo laying around"
"Sure thanks," Spincap said.
"No problem," said the soldier.
As Roadway went to talk to some of the other soldiers a thought had ran across Spincap's mind.
I thought the whole point of this war was to take control of Cybertron? with Optimus and most of the Autobots leaving means that it's over right? So why are we attacking when we already won the war?
All he knew was that Megatron wants the Autobot ship brought down and the number one rule as a Decepticon was you never disobey Lord Megatron. Then suddenly a voice coming from a speaker could be heard.
"ATTINTION ALL BOARDING PARTIES THIS IS VORTEX, WE JUST RECEVED WORD. THE AUTOBOT SHIP'S DEFENCES ARE DOWN. THE TOW CABLES WILL BE LAUNCHED MOMENTARILY AS SOON AS THEIR CANNONS STOP FIRING , FOR THOSE OF YOU IN THE FIRST WAVE HOLD ON TIGHT."
"Bad news bots, turns out we all can't fit inside the tow cable" said Hard Case, "that means two of you have to ride outside.
"Huh, what's that suppose to mean?" Spincap asked.
"You're up Spincap," said Hard Case.
"What?" said Spincap.
"Let's see who else gets to ride on top?" said Hard Case.
"Sir I volunteer sir! " said Roadway.
"Seriously soldier?" said Hard Case.
"Sir, yes sir! I think it might make a more dramatic entrance sir!" said Roadway.
"Al...right your with Spincap then," said Hard Case.
The door in front of them had opened reveling the raging battle outside, there were explosions everywhere and lasers flying at all directions as the Autobots and Decepticons are firing at each other in zero gravity.
"Whoa," Spincap said as he saw the battle in front of him.
"I know right?" said Roadway, "we better hurry their canons are shutting down now!"
The two Decepticons hurried onto the end of the tow cable.
"GOT YOUR FEET MAGNITIZED RIGHT?!" asked Roadway.
"UH YEAH?" replied Spincap.
"GOOD CAUSE HERE WE GO!" Roadway yelled.
Before Spincap could respond he felt the powerful jerk of the tow cable launching itself into the battle field. The magnets were not enough to keep him up and he almost fell of the cable. The scout was lucky that he was able to grab onto the cable's armor casing or else he would have been thrown out into space. Spincap held on for dear life screaming as they passed firing lasers, a few centre guns and some flyers.
"THIS IS IT!" yelled Roadway.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Spincap screamed as the cable headed directly for one of the Autobot ship's vulnerable spots.
With a powerful force the end of the tow cable crashed into the haul of the Ark piercing threw creating an enormous hole.
"We made it new guy, let's go!" said Roadway as he lifted Spincap to his feet.
The two Decepticons jumped of the tow cable and were now inside the Ark. They were alone inside a huge hallway, the walls were a bronze color and several large square structures could be seen along the floor of the hall.
"Where are the Autobots?" asked Spincap.
Before Roadway could reply their squad leader could be heard speaking to them from their com-links.
"Roadway, Spincap can you hear me report?" said Hard Case.
"We hear you loud and clear sir, right Spincap?" said Roadway.
"Uh yeah, I mean yes sir," said Spincap.
"Well the two of you did survived how about that, anyway the rest of us will be out as soon as the cable on your end opens. The two of you are to hold your location against any Autobots do you copy!?"
"Yes, sir!" said the two soldiers.
Then suddenly a message from The Nemisis could be heard yelling on the com-link.
"ATTENTION, TO ALL REMAINING BOARDING PARTIES ONE OF THE CABLES JUST WENT DOWN!"
"YOU HEARD THEM MOVE IT ALL OF YOU! BEFORE WE'RE HIT NEXT!!" said Hard Case.
"ALERT, A RED BOOGI COMING OUR WAY!!!"
"THE CABLE IS UNDER ATTACK!!!"
The cable opened up but before any of the soldiers could get out the tow cable exploded in a big ball of fire and shrapnel. The force of the cable exploding knocked Spincap and Roadway to the wall. Although dazed, the two were able to get back to their feet and when the smoke cleared they saw a giant hole where the tow cable once was.
"no, no, no NONONO WE'RE SO SCRAPED!" Spincap panicked until he felt a hand grab him.
"SNAP OUT OF IT! We still got a job to do" said Roadway.
"WHAT!? But our whole squads offline and where inside the enemy ship! what in the all-spark are the two of us gonna do against an army of Autobots?!!!" yelled Spincap.
"Calm down, you're a Decepticon as long as you remember your training we'll make it through this," said Roadway.
"TRAINING!!, I WAS JUST A MAINTENACE BOT BEFORE THIS!!!" shouted Spincap.
"CONS DEAD AHEAD!" shouted a voice from a distance.
The three Autobots that had just entered were at the end of the hall and had started shooting at the two Decepticons.
"GET DOWN!" shouted Roadway.
Roadway grabbed Spincap and pulled him behind one of the large metal blocks that were in the hallway. Now that the two were behind cover Roadway's left arm transformed into a Gear Shredder. He then reached over the block and fired his weapon. The blade shot out across the hall and cut the head off one of the Autobots. He then dashed over to another metal block and when he saw his chance he fired again cutting the other Autobot in half from the waist. Roadway was then forced to take cover as the remaining Autobot started firing an X18 Scrapmaker at him. Roadway waited and then when the Autobot stopped to reload his weapon he quickly dashed towards the enemy with his blade out and stabbed the other soldier in the chest killing him instantly.
"Well that was easy," said Roadway, "hey Spincap alls clear!"
Spincap walked away from the metal block and made his way towards Roadway. The floor was covered in large pools of energon that leaked from the three dead Autobots. This was the first time he had seen anybot killed in battle.
"I can't believe it, you took out all three of them," That was all he could think of saying.
"Don't mention it, after all I'm awesome," Roadway replied as he took the Scrapmaker from the dead soldier for himself.
"Good thing the X18 Scrapmaker has a slow reload, huh" Roadway said. "Wow look at the upgrades on this faster reload and windup geez I was lucky, this will definitely come in handy. Well let's get going we still got a mission to do."
"But how are we gonna pull this off with just the two of us? We don't even know where the escape pods are?" asked Spincap.
"That's easy" Roadway replied as he pulled out a data pad; "According to this layout of this ship, which we have Commander Soundwave to thank, we're not far off from the escape pods see? Now once we get there we won't have the numbers anymore to just shoot every Autobot we see, so instead I'll draw their fire while you go and rig up the pods with the explosives we have on us got it?"
"Wow, that's a good plan but assuming we're not deactivated getting there and we do take out the escape pods how are we gonna make it out of here alive?" Spincap asked.
"Well let's hope the Autobots are smart enough to surrender by then," Roadway answered.
"And if they're not?" Spincap replied.
"Well then I guess today's a good day to die then, let's roll out" said Roadway.
The two of them transformed into their vehicle modes, Spincap's alt mode was a sleek and built for speed while Roadway's was bigger and although his alt mode wasn't as fast as Spincap's it definitely had thicker armor. Now transformed the two drove through the same entry way the dead Autobots had entered from, which happen to be the direction they needed to go. As they were moving two more Autobot soldiers could be seen at distance.
"Roadway, there are two more up ahead!" yelled Spincap.
"I see'um!" Roadway calmly replied.
Roadway used his vehicle mood's weapons to gun down the two soldiers. One fell down dead from the bullets while the other was still standing until Roadway finished him off as he ran him over when he busted his speed.
Inside the pod station technicians were hard at work making sure the escape pods were in still in working order. With them were a group of soldiers that were stationed to protect them.
"Hurry it up are those escape pods still functional!?" asked one of the solders.
"Hold on, that hit we took did a real number on our systems" said one of the technicians.
"Stop worrying about it, it won't matter as long as we get to the space bridge before it closes!" said another soldier.
"Wait, YES!! the escape pods are functional!" said the technician.
"Good! but we still got no word from Optimus" said one of the soldiers.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
"What was that!" said a soldier as the room stop shaking.
"WE JUST LOST OUR MAIN ENERGON TANK! WE'RE STRANDED!!" The technician panicked.
BOOOOOOM!!!
The door to the pod station suddenly exploded knocking all who were inside to the floor.
"WHAT HAPPEN!" yelled one of the soldiers.
"WE'RE UNDER ATTA-"
The other soldier was struck died before he could finish by a circular blade. Then more blades were shot some ricochet off the walls and within seconds the soldiers and technicians were died, all except one. Injured the surviving technician used his com-link.
"Mayday, Decepticons have breached the pod station!" he said weakly, "we need back-up NOW!"
As soon as he finished the technician was killed by another blade to the back of the head.
"SLAG! He already called for back-up!" yelled Roadway.
"How long do you think they'll get here?" Spincap asked.
"Soon, You remember the plan right?" said Roadway.
"Yeah," Spincap replied.
"Good, cause we don't have much time. Here are the rest of the explosives, you know how to use them right?" said Roadway.
"I remember," said Spincap.
"Then get started, I'll cover the hallway" said Roadway as he brought out the Scrapmaker.
As soon as Roadway left the station Spincap went to work rigging the explosives. Spincap began to hear the sound of gun fire coming from the hall. He worked quickly as he rigged each escape pod to blow but when he got to the last one he had ran out of bombs.
"Scrap!" he said.
Spincap turn towards the hall and when he got there he could see Roadway was still firing his weapon. Several bots had been mowed down and when he could see no more Autobots he lowered his X18 Scrapmaker and turned to his smaller comrade.
"Looks like we're clear for-"
PPPSSSHHHUU!
A Laser bolt had shot through Roadway's chest and as he fell to the floor Spincap dashed towards him.
"Roadway!!" screamed Spincap.
With Spincap distracted with Roadway the remaining Autobot shifted his null ray and replaced it with a blade and made his way towards the last Decepticon. Despite his size, Spincap was trying to drag his partner into the pod station .
"Roadway! can you hear me!?" said Spincap.
"NO YOU DON'T YOU SPAWN OF A GLITCH!!!"
Before Spincap could react he was tackled to the ground by the same Autobot that shot Roadway. Spincap struggled with every strength he had to keep the blade away from him. He was then able to shift his leg underneath his attacker and with all his might he was able to kick the enemy off him. Now free Spincap quickly shifted his right arm into a Scattershot. The Autobot quickly got back up and with his blade ready and filled with rage was about to attack again.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
With his chassis riddled with holes and half his face gone the Autobot fell to the floor dead. Spincap just laid there up right, with his weapon/arm still up smoking and shaking. Then he remembered about Roadway and he quickly got back up. Spincap moved passed the mess of energon that was the result of his first kill and made his way towards his comrade. He then Kneeled down against Roadway and saw that energon was leaking from the wound in his chest and from his mouth.
"Roadway! Are you still functioning?!" said Spincap.
"I... can't believe I missed one," he replied weakly.
"Don't worry about it, I took care of him" Spincap said reassuringly.
"Did you now?" he said almost amused, "and the ... mission?"
"I ran out of explosives before I got to the last pod" Spincap replied.
Roadway was silent for a moment then he spoke.
"Spincap.. do you remember what I said earlier,.. about it being a good day to die?.. Well I was lying, there's no such thing."
"Don't talk like that, you're gonna be fine" said Spincap.
"No I'm not," Roadway said; "I'm scared Spincap, it hurts a lot. I ..I don't even know... what we're fighting for anymore, Cybertron's almost dead anyways... But I'm glad I met you Spincap, I can't explain... it but there's something ... about you like we were meant... to meet."
Suddenly the entire ship began to shake violently causing Spincap to slip and fall. Loud sirens could be heard as red lights began to flash.
"This ship not gonna last!" yelled Spincap as he got back up.
"Go then" said Roadway; "take the escape pod... maybe the Autobots had the right idea... about leaving."
"But what about you?" asked Spincap.
"I'm not gonna make it," Roadway said as his voice got weaker.
"I...I wish I could of been more useful," said Spinecap with shame.
Then with his large hand Roadway grabbed hold of Spincap's.
"You already have, you listened to me like a good soldier, we made a pretty good team you know. I know we would have been great friends...now... go... get out of...here."
Roadway's eye had gone dark and his hand fell from Spincap's. Spincap was speechless, it wasn't until he was knocked down again by the violate shaking and explosions from within the ship to snap him out of it. He then hurried to the escape pod and opened it but before he went inside he took another look Roadways's body.
Roadway...I really wish I could of meet you before today he thought.
Then as soon as he heard the voices of several panicking Autobots getting closer he knew he had to leave now. Once he was inside he closed the hatch and as soon as he sat down at the control panel he found the launch lever and pulled, then with a strong jerk the pod shot out of the Ark. Spincap looked at the monitor and saw the chaos outside, the space bridge had become unstable as its shape became erratic. He saw the Autobot ship getting ripped apart as it's being sucked inside. Not even The Nemesis couldn't escape as it flipped over and became the first to go through the bridge. Spincap could also feel the escape pod getting sucked into the massive portal. He tried to pilot the pod away but the pull was too strong. Then as he helplessly watched as he got closer into the black and yellow storm a massive piece that broke off the Ark slammed into the escape pod. The force was enough to knock Spincap out of his seat slamming his head against the wall and just like that everything went black.
It was a early in the morning at Fluttershy's cottage and after some "friendly" encouragement from Angel, Fluttershy was awake and getting ready for the day as she prepared to feed the many animals she cared for.
"Oh Angel! breakfast is ready" She said cheerfully.
The rabbit had his arms crossed as he waited impatiently for the yellow pegasus to arrive with his breakfast. When she finally hovered in she was carrying two large bags of animal feed over her back, using her forelegs she carried a blue bowl. She then placed the bowl before the small white rabbit and with her forelegs now free she was able to land.
"Now I expect you to eat every bite, ok Angel?" said Fluttershy will a smile.
Angle looked at contents of the bowl, it was filled to the top with lettuce, carrots and a few berries. He then shook his head, pushed the bowl back and crossed his arms. Fluttershy wasn't going to let Angel's pickiness get to her this early in the morning. She then gave him a stern look and after a few seconds the rabbit gave up and took the bowl back and started eating what was brought him. As he ate the look on his face changed from being bitter to joy as he started to wolf down his meal.
"That's a good boy Angel?" she said joyfully.
With a smile Futtershy walked towards the door carrying the animal feed and as soon as she opened the door she stopped and looked back at her pet.
"You know Angel I can't explain it but, I have good feeling about today I'm just not sure why."

This is as dark as its going to get for now but this story will get darker farther on, but for now it will be mostly comedy and slice of life. Thanks for reading and comments are welcomed.
The satellite had just made its way out of the ancient tunnel and for the first time it was out in the sunlight. Its primary mission was to search this strange world for any signs of sentient life. Its secondary mission is to search for any advanced technology that may be a more suitable alt-mode for the Cybertronian inside the pod, so that it may better hide among the inhabitants of this world. Seeing only trees the satellite flew up to the sky to find any signs of civilization.
Now that Twilight and Rainbow Dash had finished their mission they were heading towards the ground. Then from the corner of her eye, Twilight saw something moving up.
"What is that?" said Twilight.
The satellite flew right passed the two mares scaring them causing Rainbow Dash to almost drop Twilight.
"Whoa, what in Equestria is that!?" yelled Rainbow Dash.
The satellite suddenly stopped and turned back to examine the two natives that were in the air.
"It's coming back!" said Twilight.
The satellite stopped and was about a meter away from the two ponies.
"What is that?" said Rainbow Dash.
"I don't know, I think it may be some kind of machine," said Twilight with curiosity.
"Well, what does it want with us?" asked Rainbow.
The Satellite just hovered there, then it flashed a bright light at the two mares.
"WHAT IS IT DOING!?" yelled Rainbow Dash.
"I don't know?" said Twilight.
After scanning the two life forms and after analyzing their speech pattern it confirmed that they were indeed sentient. Although they were organic, the satellite now knew what to search for. Using this new information from the bio-scan the satellite preformed a wide grid scan for any similar life forms. The satellite then detected multiple readings of similar life forms, it determined that it must be a town of some kind and it was not too far away from its current position. With this new information the satellite turned away from the two mares and went straight for the town.
"HEY! Where's it going in such a hurry?" said Rainbow Dash.
"It looks like it's heading straight for Ponyville!" said Twilight.
"Should we go after it?" asked Rainbow Dash.
"I think we should, we don't know what it might do once it gets to town. But we should definitely keep our distance for now," said Twilight.
Still holding on to Twilight, Rainbow Dash then proceeded to follow the flying machine. Detecting that it was being followed the satellite boosted its speed to evade the two mares.
"Wow! That thing can move fast" said Rainbow Dash.
"We can't lose it Rainbow!" said Twilight.
"You got it!" said Rainbow.
Rainbow Dash increased her speed and after a few seconds they had caught up with the machine. The satellite picked up that it was still being followed and after a moment to process it changed its tactics. It quickly turned around to face its pursuers and then flashed a blight light into Rainbow Dash's eyes.
"AH! MY EYES!" yelled the pegasus.
Veering out of control Rainbow Dash was heading straight for the trees,
"RAINBOW DASH YOUR GOING TO HIT THAT TREE!" screamed Twilight.
"I CAN'T SEE!!" yelled Rainbow.
The two crashed and with a loud thud the tree shook as leafs fell to the ground. Up in the branches laid both Twilight and Rainbow Dash. Although bruised and dazed Twilight was otherwise alright, Rainbow Dash on the other hand laid unconscious on the other branch. With the threat neutralized, the satellite continued on with its exploration mission. Within minutes the satellite was over Ponyville observing the inhabitants and their technology. After a few minutes the satellite was unable to detect a suitable alt-mode and with its energon supply running low it sent the information it gathered to the pod and then proceeded back.
Back inside the pod the monitor had just received the data from the satellite and after a moment of processing it determined to skip the search for an alt-mode and processed to next stage, repair. From the monitor a small devise raised up and began scanning the anterior of the craft.
"REPAIR, REPAIR," said the monitor.
It detected only a single occupant, then the device shot a bright yellow beam at the Cybertronian. Because the damage to the Cybertronian's body was minor it only took a few minutes before the repairs were completed. From the blackness there was static then the Cybertronian's optics were fully online.
"Wha... What happened?" said Spincap as he sat up.
He raised his hand and placed it on the top of his head, he tried to think of the last thing he could remember. Then in a flash he remembered the final battle above Cybertron's orbit and how both the Nemesis and the Ark were pulled into the Space Bridge as it became unstable. Then he remembered how he struck his head from something crashing against the pod before everything went black. He was brought back to the present when he heard the satellite return. It flew passed him and then reattached itself to the monitor. Spincap quickly got up and approached the monitor, he knew that the satellite would had uploaded whatever data he would need.
"O.K. I must have landed somewhere for that satellite to have been launched" said Spincap as he began typing on a keyboard.
"Planet unknown? Great," he said, "huh, here's some data on this world's inhabitants."
He played the clip and from the monitor screen Spincap could see images of the life-forms.
"Hmm their organic, quadrupeds and... wow there small" said Spincap; "and it looks like there's a town nearby. O.k. let's see what's their technological level... scrap there a tier 6 civilization."
Spincap then saw an image of two of the natives looking right at the satellite. One of them was blue and had a multicolored mane and it appeared to be carrying the other which was purple.
"Huh, looks like they come in different forms, one with wings and one with a horn?" said Spincap.
Spincap decided to stop for now so he check on what supplies he had available, especially the energon supply.
Looks like I got enough to last me a while, that's good at least. But that's not going to last forever what am I going to do when I run out?... Wait I know he thought.
Spincap accessed the pod's transmitter and typed in the secret code that would allow him to access the Decepticon communication channel. He had learned this code from his training just in case a soldier was ever stranded in enemy territory. Then when he was done sending a message he logged off and walked away from the monitor.
"Alright message sent, hopefully a rescue party will come for me before I run out of energon. I gotta say this equipment is pretty user friendly, well I guess I should go out and do some exploring." Spincap said to himself.
As soon as he exited from the pod he was surprised to see that he was inside a cave.
How... how long have I been here!? he thought.
He saw a large tunnel, most likely it was the path that the pod created when it crash landed so long ago. Using the lights from his body to light the way, Spincap continued on following the dark tunnel. When he saw light at the end of the tunnel he knew that he had found the exit. Once Spincap was outside he saw the blue skies and from a distance were many trees.
"Wow... I guess I better get started," He said to himself.

I had to re-watch "More Than Meets the Eye" for this chapter and the previous one. Also I don't know if I need to mention it but right now the story is set before season 3 but it will catch up to it. Thanks for reading and as always comments are welcomed.
As soon as Rainbow Dash regained consciousness she and Twilight were able to get down from the tree and continue their way back home. After over an hour of walking the two had finally arrived at Ponyville.
"FINALLY! we're home," said Rainbow Dash.
"Are you sure your o.k.?" asked Twilight, "you hit that tree pretty hard, maybe we should stop by the hospital."
"I already told you I'm fine" said an annoyed Rainbow, "besides we need to find that thing that blinded me, I got a score to settle with it. Also you still got a twig in your mane."
Twilight took a moment to find the twig and pulled it out before continuing their conversation.
"Odds are that thing already came and left, all we can do is ask if anypony has seen it or not" said Twilight.
"Well, any idea where to start" asked Rainbow Dash.
"Where else? Let's see if any... where is eveypony?" said Twilight.
The street was empty, Twilight and Rainbow Dash were the only two outside. The two mares started walking around looking for any residents or shop keepers. It wasn't until they reached the town hall when they found that most of the residents had gathered. Many were talking at the same time as the mayor attempted to address the crowd.
"Everypony please there is no need to be alarmed" said Mayor Mare through a megaphone.
"BUT WHAT ABOUT THE UFO!?" yelled one of the citizens.
"WHAT IF IT COMES BACK!?" said another along with sounds of agreement from the crowd.
"WHAT IF WE'RE BEING INVADED!" cried another.
"Now calm down please" said the mayor, "we don't know if it was indeed a UFO for all we know it may have been a... a weather balloon."
"A WEATHER BALLOON, ARE YOU SERIOUS?" yelled a citizen.
Twilight and Rainbow Dash stayed at the back of the crowd listening until they hear a voice call out to them.
"Twilight, Rainbow Dash you finally came back!"
The two turned towards the one called them and found that it was Applejack and with her was Rarity and Pinkie Pie.
"Applejack, Pinkie, your here to?" asked Twilight.
"Don't you be changing the subject, now answer me what were you thinking going to ah live volcano without the rest of us? What if something happen to you?" said Applejack.
"I'm sorry I made you all worry, it's just every time something happens I'm always pulling all of you into it. I just wanted to fix a problem without putting all of you in danger" said Twilight.
"Yeah and I was there to make sure she was fine, see no smoke it's all done," said Rainbow Dash.
*sigh* "Alright then as long as everything worked out, well except for everpony make'n a fuss over some flying do'hicky" said Applejack.
"Did you see it Applejack?" said Twilight.
"Heck no I was busy with the apple stand" answered Applejack.
"How about you Pinkie Pie?" asked Rainbow Dash.
"Hmm... did it look like a metal ball with a single lens, have two flat grid like wings and a antenna?" said Pinkie.
"YES!" said both Twilight and Rainbow Dash excitedly.
"Nope never heard of it (squee)" said Pinkie Pie with a smile.
Both mare face hoofed at the pink mare's response.
"Wait the two of you saw it for real?" asked Applejack.
"Yeah we ran in to it back at the volcano but it got away from us" said Rainbow Dash.
"What, it got away from you?" asked Applejack.
"Twilight slowed me down ok" said Rainbow defensively.
Twilight just rolled her eyes at Rainbow's excuse.
"Well from what I hear it was here for a few minutes watching us all and then just like that it flew away" said Applejack.
"Strange, what did it want and where'd it come from? ...wait the volcano that's where Rainbow Dash and I first saw it. Maybe that's where it came from and maybe that's where it went. If we go back we might be able to find it and study it" Twilight said as her voice got more excited.
"And when you say we you mean?" said Applejack.
"Yes I mean the four of us" answered Twilight with a smile.
Spincap had never been on an organic world before, he had spent his entire existence on Cybertron. Seeing these strange structures coming out of the ground made him remember a bot he once met who claimed he was an explorer who had visited many worlds before the war and if he remembered correctly he said that these things around him now were called trees. As he continued to walk around he started to noticed that these 'trees' had gotten taller and before he knew it they towered over him. The environment around him was getting darker and mistier as he walked farther into the forest.
This place is kinda starting to get a little spooky he thought.
Then suddenly the was some rustling in a nearby bushes.
"WHAT WAS THAT?" said Spincap as he turned towards the sound.
From the bushes ran out a ferret and as soon as it saw the metal titan it stopped in its tracks. Behind it four Timberwolves that had been chasing the ferret also appeared. They too stopped when they saw the Cybertronian standing before them. With a group of animals just looking at him, Spincap did not know what to do he had never seen creatures like these before.
Ok the satellite didn't have anything on these life-forms he thought.
Not knowing what else to do he then decided to approach them but as he stepped forward the loud boom from his foot hitting the ground scared the ferret and Timberwolves away.
"That was weird," Spincap said to himself.
Shrugging it off he decided to keep exploring the area. After about an hour later he was wondering if he should head back to the cave. That was until he saw a clearing and within the mist there appeared to be a large structure at the center. As he got closer he could see that the structure was made of stone, it did not look natural something must have built it.
Must be some kind of castl e he thought.
judging from the wear of the stones the castle was ancient and portions of the walls looked severely damaged. the whole ceiling was gone it was obvious that whatever occupied this place had left a long time ago, so he decided to leaned over the missing roof to take a look inside. Inside was a large open space, there were several pillars that no longer served a purpose and were covered in vines. There was something at the end of the room that looked like an alter. It too was made of stone and at the top was a stone sphere and around it were five empty pedestal. It looked similar to one of those models of the solar system back on Cybertron. The difference however was that the other spheres or planets were missing. After a few minutes of looking around the ancient ruins Spincap decided to move on, he saw a dirt road and decided to follow it. As he was walking he thought he heard a soft cooing sound that was close by, he quickly turned towards the source but he saw nothing. Then he heard it again but it was coming from behind him. Spincap turned again to find the source of the sound but again he saw nothing but more trees.
"Ok what's going on here?" he said to himself.
Then for the third time he heard the same cooing but it was right next to him. He turned his head to the right and saw nothing but when he heard it again looked downward. Spincap had found the source of the cooing, it was a tiny creature it had wings and tiny legs, It's round head appeared to be its body and it had big eyes. After seeing the little creature Spincap was filled to his spark with pure terror.
"AAAAHHHHGGGGG! SCRAPLET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! " he screamed.
Spincap flailed his arms as he tried to swat the creature away from himself. But in doings so he tripped and fell on the ground with a loud thud that cause the ground to shake. When he looked up he saw the creature flying towards him.
"GET AWAY FROM ME!!! " he yelled.
Spincap got up as quickly as he could and transformed into his vehicle mode and with a loud screech of his tires he zoomed out the area.
I CAN'T BELEIVE THERE ARE SCRAPPLETS ON THIS PLANET! I NEED GET OUT OF HERE! he thought.
Not caring where he was going and filled with terror Spincap drove as fast as he could along the dirt road and before he knew it he had driven off a cliff. To avoid falling to his death he activated his boosters which rocketed him to the opposite side of the gorge. He landed hard against the ground causing him to bounce, after hitting the break he was able to come to a complete stop and then transformed. He looked around to see if the scrapplet had followed him and was relieved to know that it was nowhere to be seen.
"Oh thank Primus," he said in relief.
Spincap then walked over towards the ledge of the gorge he had just jump.
"Wow I can't believe I just jumped this thing" He said to himself.
He looked around his surroundings and knew he was lost, Spincap then pulled out the data pad he had brought with him from the pod. After looking to see how far he was from the cave Spincap realized that he was not that far away from the nearby town.
I guess I can go take a look as long none of the inhabitants don't see me, also I need to find another way back to the cave he thought.
Deciding that it would be faster Spincap transformed back into his vehicle mode and continued towards the town. After crossing a river and several minutes of driving later he began to see light which meant that he was close to the edge of the forest. Before going any further he stopped and transformed into his robot mode and then proceeded to walk slowly and carefully towards the edge. He stopped behind a couple of trees, the bushes were high enough to give him some cover that is if he ducked. He grabbed hold of one of the trees as he crouched down to avoid being seen. With his optics Spincap zoomed in to get a better look. however Instead of seeing a town he saw a small hill that looked like it had windows, it stood next to a small stream and there seemed to be tiny boxes hanging from the trees that were next to it. There also appeared to be a large group of different life-forms that for some reason had gathered at this location.
I must of taken a wrong turn, all I see is that small structure and those don't look like the right life-forms either he thought.
Despite the second earthquake, Fluttershy knew that everything was going to be fine when she saw that the mountain had stopped giving off smoke. It took all morning but she was finally able to get the animals in her care to come out of hiding. The timing couldn't be better because it was now lunch time and now that the animals were out Fluttershy was preparing to feed them.
"There you go, you all must be very hungry since everyone of you skipped breakfast," said Fluttershy as she finished feeding the last of them.
Then suddenly she heard a loud snap, it was as if a tree just broke apart followed by a loud boom that caused her to bounce off the ground. Again the animals ran off into hiding as they did before, Fluttershy looked towards the direction of the loud noise. Laying on the ground was the broken tree but next to it was something she had ever seen before. Its color was a combination of purple and grey and it was massive and it also appeared to be made of metal. Fluttershy didn't know what to do, should she approach it? or should she go and find help? Then she heard a moan and the sound of machinery as the thing started to move. Using what looked like massive arms, it lifted itself up a bit allowing Fluttershy to see its head. Its face was just a red triangular visor and there was only silence as the two just looked at each other.

This was a tricky chapter, I had to rewrite half of it also ever since I found out the origins of the squee sound from the show, I just had to put it in. If anyone would like a better idea on what Spincap looks like I posted a colored drawing I made on the group's (Transformers Crossovers) forum called "MLD OC Art" check it out if you haven't. The yellow pegasus and the giant robot were both frozen in place as they looked at each other. Neither one said a single word, then the Cybertronian slowly got up to his feet. Fluttershy was in awe as she saw this metal giant standing before her. Of all the creatures she had ever meet she had never seen anything like it, she had encountered bipeds before but this giant was so tall that she barley reached passed its ankle. Spincap on the other hand did not know what to do now that he had been spotted . Should I attack? he thought but where would that get him? Especially since he was alone on this planet and he'll most likely need whatever help he could get. Also for some reason he didn't think he could bring himself to attack this native. Just looking at its big eyes and how small and helpless it looked made him decide not to, so he tried communicating with it instead.
What do I say? I'm not sure this life-form will understand me... Wait I know, I can use the universal greeting! how did it go again? Oh right Spincap thought.
As Fluttershy continue to examine the giant, she tried to think of what she should do.
He's so big and he hasn't said a thing, what should I do? Should I keep waiting for him to speak first? or do I introduce myself? she thought.
"Bah Weep Graaagnah Wheep Ni Ni Bong," Spincap said.
Fluttershy was surprised that the giant had just spoken even though she had no idea what it just said. After a few seconds Spincap began to doubt that the life-form understood him.
So much for the universal greeting he thought.
"Um... excuse me but I don't know what that means" said Fluttershy softly.
"Wait, you speak Cybertronian?" said Spincap in disbelief.
Fluttershy squeaked as she crouched closer to the ground.
"I... I don't know... am I?" said a shaking Fluttershy.
After seeing this yellow organic cower before him, Spincap decided to change the subject.
"It doesn't matter, really its fine as long as we can understand each other, OK?" said Spincap.
"O... OK" Fluttershy replied.
"Look I'm not going to hurt you OK, my name is Spincap and I just wanted to ask you a few questions.Is that alright with you?" he asked.
"OK" replied Fluttershy feeling more at ease
She then sat up from the ground and looked at the Cybertronian with more curiosity.
"So do you have a name?" Spincap asked.
"Flutter...shy" she whispered.
"I didn't catch that what did you say your name was again?" Spincap asked again.
"Fluttershy" she said.
"Fluttershy huh, can you tell me where I am?" Spincap asked.
"Um, well this is Ponyville and that's where I live" said Fluttershy pointing to her cottage.
"Ponyville?" Spincap said "OK, this is going to sound weird but what planet am I on?"
After over an hour of traveling Twilight, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie had finally made it back to where Twilight and Rainbow Dash first saw the satellite.
"Ok we're back at the mountain so what's next?" asked Rainbow Dash.
"We start looking" said Twilight as she prepared the camera she had brought, "remember girls we're just going to observe that flying machine. So if you see it keep your distance there no knowing what it might do next if it thinks its threaten."
"So your just gonna take pictures of it?" asked Applejack.
"Correct, we're just going observe and document it," Twilight answered, "think about it if that thing is indeed of alien origin then we'll have proof of pony kind's first contact with an extraterrestrial intelligence."
"But Twi, how do you know that things from space?" asked Applejack.
"Because I'm always reading up on all the most recent technological advancements and from the close up Rainbow Dash and I had earlier, I knew that that thing was way too advance to be made by anypony," said Twilight with some excitement.
"Alright then girls here's the plan we're going to split up into pairs and go around the mountain. Also I brought each of you a camera just in case anyone of us see's the machine. Rainbow and I will go this way, Applejack you and Pinkie Pie are going to go... wait a minute where's Pinkie Pie?" said Twilight.
The three mares looked around to find where their pink friend had gone. Then suddenly before they knew it they heard her excitedly calling out to them.
"HEY LOOK OVER HERE!" said Pinkie Pie as she waved to her friends.
The other three rushed over to her and when they did their jaws dropped at the sight of a giant foot print in front of them. They also found another, then another it was a trail of giant foot prints.
"Pinkie Pie! do you know what you just found!?" said Twilight.
"Of course I do, it's a foot print silly," said Pinkie Pie.
"What do you think could made it?" asked Applejack.
"I... I don't know, I've never seen a foot print like this before. It's too small to be a dragon and it's definitely not an ursa" said Twilight.
"Whatever it is its huge!" said Rainbow Dash.
"And it looks like it was made not too long ago," said Applejack.
Twilight was silent as she examined the foot prints and took a picture, she could also see from where they were coming from.
"Girls I think we should follow them to its place of origin" said Twilight.
"What? are you serious?" asked Applejack.
"Yes if these track are fresh than whatever it is that made these won't be there, we might be able to find its lair." said Twilight.
"Wait what about the flying machine?" asked Rainbow Dash.
"I have a strong feeling that the machine we saw and the creature that made these foot prints are somehow connected," explained Twilight.
"But what if it comes back?" asked Applejack.
"We'll stay just long enough to get a few photographs for documentation then we'll head back to Ponyville and write to Princess Celestia, she'll know what we should do from there," said Twilight.
The four of them then proceeded to follow the giant tracks to their source which eventually took them to the mouth of a cave within the mountain.
"I thought you said the thing was an alien," said Rainbow Dash, "don't aliens come from space what's it doing inside a cave".
"This cave looks like it was made recently" said Twilight, "it must have been made from that earthquake back when we dropped the potion".
"Wait, your saying that whatever it is we're looking for has been inside this mountain all this time?" asked Applejack.
"Wow being inside a mountain for so long that can't be comfortable" said Pinkie Pie.
"This doesn't make sense, this mountain has always been here since the beginning of written history," said Twilight.
"So what now?" asked Applejack.
*gulp* "we going in to take a look," Twilight replied.
The four of them entered the cave and as it got darker Twilight caste an illumination spell so they could see. Although the entry way to the cave was made recently the tunnel inside appeared to be ancient.
"Look at the sediment of the soil," Twilight said as she examined the cave wall, "this cave is ancient, millions of years possibly".
"So your saying that whatever walked out of here has been alive for that long?" asked Rainbow Dash.
"WOW! that's old, so many birthdays," said Pinkie Pie.
They continued farther inside the cave and at the end they entered a huge chamber. For more visibility Twilight intensified the light from her horn and soon after all four of them were amazed at what they found. It was a massive object, bigger than a building and it was made from a bronze like metal and it also appeared to be partially damaged.
"This is incredible!" said Twilight as she began taking snap shots.
"What is it?" asked Applejack.
"My guess is that it's some kind of craft and judging from the tunnel we came in from and the partial damage to the outside it must have crashed here," said Twilight.
Rainbow Dash flew up close to the pod's haul and tapped it with her hoof making a clanking sound that echoed within the chamber.
"This thing sure is tough," she said.
"Rainbow! I don't think touching it is a good idea!" Yelled Twilight.
"Look more footprints!" said Pinkie Pie.
By the way the prints were laid out it looked like the giant came out from a giant hatch at the side of the craft. Twilight's scientific curiosity wanted her to see if she could open the hatch and look inside but she knew that that would be a bad idea. Especially since the creature that came from here could be back at any moment and she had no way of knowing if its hostile or not.
"We should hurry back to Ponyville and let the Princess know what we found immediately," said Twilight.
"But aren't you gonna take more pictures?" asked Pinkie Pie.
"I already have plenty for now, but we got to hurry" said Twilight.
As Twilight started to head back to town the other three began to follow. They traveled as fast as they could through the Everfree Forest. Eventually they had to slow down from all the running but by then they knew that they were not far from town.
"Rainbow Dash isn't Fluttershy's cottage nearby?" asked Twilight.
"Yeah we're almost there actually," Rainbow Dash answered.
Now that they could see the light from the edge of the forest they continued forward towards Fluttershy's cottage.
Spincap was sitting on the ground as he continued to talk to Fluttershy, although it was a slow start he was able to learn several things about the planet he was on. Apparently he was in a land called Equestria and the natives called themselves ponies which come in three main sub-species. He also found out that they are not the only sentient species on this world which could be useful information in the future. As for their technology, he only confirmed what the satellite had already told him. Although she was hesitant about talking about herself he was able to learn a few things about this yellow pegasus which is what she said she was. As her name implies she was indeed very shy and it turns out that her occupation was taking care of the local wildlife. Spincap was silent as he took a moment to process what he had learned.
O.k. let's see, the pod is buried under a mountain, I'm stuck in an unknown, primitive organic world filled with little creatures called ponies and Primus knows when and if my distress signal actually makes it back home. This is not looking good he thought.
"Can I ask you a question?" said Fluttershy weakly.
"Huh, what?" said Spincap.
"I mean... if it's OK with you" she said.
"A question... OK" he answered.
"You said you came from another world right? what's your home world like?" Fluttershy asked.
Spincap didn't know how to answer that but before he could they were interrupted by a voice.
"FLUTTERSHY! ARE YOU HOME!?"
Twilight, Applejack, Pinkie and Rainbow Dash rushed out of the forest and when they reached the cottage and they were shocked at what they saw next to their friend.

The entire time Spincap had been talking to Fluttershy it had never occurred to him that he would be seen by any of the other natives. He quickly got to his feet and tried to think of what to do.
Slag! I thought I was still far from the locals? I can't believe I was spotted twice in one solar cycle, how could I have been so stupid?! he thought.
Twilight, Applejack, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash were speechless as they saw the metal giant sitting next to Fluttershy. Then suddenly the giant got up, now that they could see it in its full height their jaws dropped in amazement.
"Oh Spincap, these are some of my friends that also live here in Ponyville," said Fluttershy, "girls I like to introduce you to Spincap, you could say he's new around here."(squee)
"Ah...ah...ah" stammered Twilight.
Before anyone knew it Pinkie Pie had disappeared and reappeared on Spincap's shoulder.
"HI THERE SPINCAP, I'M PINKIE PIE, SO YOUR AN ALIEN THAT'S SO COOL I NEVER MET AN ALIEN BEFORE. WHATS IT LIKE IN SPACE? HOW DO YOU LIKE OUR PLANET? ARE YOU A ROBOT? ARE ALL ALIENS AS BIG AS YOU? WHAT KIND OF CAKE DO YOU HAVE ON YOUR PLANET? OH WE HAVE TO THROW YOU A WELCOME TO EARTH PARTY!"
Spincap just froze there looking at the pink mare who was still talking not knowing what to do.
"How... did you know I was an alien?" he asked.
"Seriously?" said Applejack.
"Right, dumb question," said Spincap.
"Excuse me," said Twilight as she walked to Spincap, "my name is Twilight Sparkle and I just have to say...THIS IS INCREDIBLE! I mean to actually be in the presence of an alien life-form! I have so many questions to ask you. I don't know where to start!"
"Whoa settle down there sugar cube" said Applejack, she then looked up to the giant, "well aren't you a big fella, I'm Applejack and this here is Rainbow Dash."
"What's the big idea siccing that weird ball of yours on us?" said Rainbow Dash suspiciously after she zoomed up to Spincap's face.
*gasp* "Rainbow!" said Twilight and Applejack at the same time.
"Weird... ball?" asked Spincap then it hit him.
What a minute this multi-colored native with the wings and the purple one with the horn, they're the ones I saw on the monitor screen back at the pod he thought.
"You mean the satellite?" he asked, "I don't know a lot about it but it's program to observe."
"Observe? that thing blinded me!" yelled Rainbow Dash.
"I didn't make the thing, it must of thought you were a threat," Spincap replied.
"What do you mean a threat?" Rainbow.
"Rainbow Dash is that anyway to speak to a guest?" said Fluttershy.
...*sigh* "fine never mind" said Rainbow.
"Actually I'd like to know what you meant when you said it was programmed to observe?" said Twilight, "Is it like some kind of computer and was it suppose to observe us?"
He thought about how he should answer Twilight's question and decided that until his fellow Decepticons arrive to get him he was going to need the help of these natives. Which would mean gaining their trust and for now, the best way to do that would be to tell the truth or at least enough of it for now.
"Like I said, I didn't build it but the way I understand it is that whenever a ship crash lands on an alien world it automatically sends out a satellite. It then scans the local areas for sentient life and their level technology so that we can better adapt to the environment."
"But from how deep your ship was inside the mountain you must of landed millions of years ago. Why did it sent it out now all of a sudden?" asked Twilight.
"Wait! you found my ship?!" he replied in disbelief.
Twilight paused for a second as her face turned red.
"I'm sorry, it's just that when we saw your satellite I got so excited that we went to find out where it came from. We found the cave by the mountain and went inside and that's when we found it, but we didn't go inside we left everything as it was," said Twilight.
"O.k. ... I guess that's alright then," said Spincap.
"Oh I knew I'd find you girls here," said Rarity as she came up to them, "you have no idea what kind of day I had. I had to clean up the shop again all because of that second earthqua-"
Rarity was frozen still when she saw a metal giant standing in front of her and as it's red visor looked right at her she place one of her hooves on her forehead and in shock she fainted.
"Rarity... Rarity, wake up!"
After hearing one of her friends calling her name, Rarity opened her eyes to find all five of them standing over her.
"Rarity, are you alright?" asked Fluttershy in a worried tone.
"Yes dear I'm fine," Rarity replied, "silly me for moment there I thought I saw a huge metal monster standing in front of us".
"Uh Rarity, that may not be as silly as you think," said Applejack pointing upwards.
Rarity looked up and like before there was a giant made of metal standing there. Spincap was standing there face palming at the situation he was in.
This is just great! It hasn't been one solar cycle and I've already been seen by six of these natives, so much for keeping a low profile he thought.
When he lowered his hand he saw that the white one that had just showed up had regained conscience. She was looking up right at him but before anyone could say anything she passed out again.
"Not again," said Rainbow Dash.
"Is she going to be o.k.?" asked Fluttershy.
"She'll be fine," said Twilight.
After a few seconds Rarity woke up again and slowly got up as her friends moved back to give her room. She took a moment to gather her thoughts before she spoke to the giant.
"I apologize for that," Rarity said, "It's just that I have never seen anything as... remarkable as you."
"Uh... thanks... I think?" said Spincap.
As Spincap took a quick scan at all these "ponies" he noticed that one of them, the pink one, was missing.
"Wait, weren't there six of you just now?" he asked.
The mares started looking around and that's when they realized Pinkie Pie was missing.
"W... Where did Pinkie Pie go?" asked Twilight.
"I don't know she was here just second ago," said Fluttershy.
Spincap then noticed the position of this planet's sun and realized that it would be getting dark soon. He then decided that now would be a good time to head back to the pod for the night.
"Hey look, it's starting to get dark and I should probably get back the my pod," said Spincap.
"Wait! you can't," said Fluttershy who started to blush after raising her voice.
"What why?" Spincap asked confused.
"Well... it's just... because..." Fluttershy started to hesitate.
"You see it's because to get back to your pod you would have to go through the Everfree Forest and it's not safe to go inside at night," explained Twilight.
"What do you mean not safe?" said Spincap.
"Well there are many strange and scary creatures in there and some of them come out at night," said Applejack.
"I think I'll be fine I mean come on look at me, on this planet I think I'm bigger than anything that's in there," said Spincap.
"There are creatures that are bigger than you," said Fluttershy.
"...What?" he said.
"It's true," said Applejack, "As big as you are, you're not the biggest thing we've ever seen and some have been rumored to come out when its dark. That's the reason why nopony ever goes into the forest, especially at night."
Spincap was silent for a moment as he processed this information then he remembered his little run in with the "Scraplet" earlier.
"Well then I guess I can wait till morning It's not like I'm in a rush to go back," said Spincap.
"But where are you going to stay for the night?" asked Twilight.
"... That's a good question," he replied, "I kind of want to keep a low profile."
"That's probably a good idea the other ponies in town will probably won't react as well as we did to seeing an armored giant walking around," said Twilight.
"But where could he possibly stay where he won't be seen?" asked Rarity.
"He could use the barn back at the farm" said Applejack.
"That's a great idea," said Twilight, "What do you think Spincap is that o.k. with you?"
"I don't know what a barn is but if its big enough it should be fine," said Spincap.
"You don't know what a barn is?" Applejack said in disbelief.
"Just one problem," said Rainbow Dash, "how are we gonna get him to Sweet Apple Acres without him being seen. I mean look at how tall he is, it's gonna be kind of hard not to be noticed even if we do use a different route."
"Well I can probably use my alt-mode, I won't be as tall and since it's getting dark it'll make me less noticeable then you can take me to this barn," said Spincap.
"Alt-mode?" asked Twilight.
"Short for Alternate mode, meaning I can transform," said Spincap.
"Really? that's incredible do you think you could show us?" asked Twilight.
"Alright," said Spincap.
He then took a few steps back so that the five mares aren't in the way and then he started his transformation. The five mares were astounded at what they were seeing, They watched the metal parts that made up his anatomy shifted as they folded and unfolded. It was over in seconds and the end result was something completely different from the alien they had just met. He was no longer a bipedal giant. He had turned into what looked like a metal carriage. He was significantly smaller than before with four wheels and a roof and it had a design that was sleek as if built for speed.
"So... marvelous," said Rarity with glistening eyes, "such sleek and smooth design."
"That was so... awesome" said Rainbow Dash.
"I'm ready to go," said Spincap from a speaker.
He then opened the doors so that the five ponies can enter.
"It might be faster if all of you got in, that way you can give me directions to this barn thing" he said.
They were hesitant at first but then they decided to go inside.
"I call shotgun!" yelled Rainbow Dash.
All five of them were now inside of Spincap's vehicle mode, Applejack sat at where the driver's seat would be so that she could better give directions to Sweet Apple Acres. Rainbow Dash sat next to her and Twilight sat in the back seat between Rarity and Fluttershy. The three of them felt a little crowded in the back but were otherwise fine. Spincap then started to drive and as he did so he followed Applejacks directions. It was now dark outside and they were able to avoid going into town and after several minutes of driving they finally made it into the Apple family farm.
"What does this barn look like?" asked Spincap.
"It's just down that way you can't miss it, also a'h still can't believe you don't know what a barn is. Don't they got farms where you're from?" said Applejack.
"No, I don't even know what a farm is or what there for," answered Spincap.
"I can see the barn!" said Rainbow.
Spincap stopped a few yards from the barn and open his doors to let the mares out. Although the barn was large enough, the doors on the other hand were too small for Spincap to enter in his robot form so he stayed in vehicle mode. Applejack and Rainbow Dash walked up to the doors and began to open them for the Cybertronian. The other three ponies followed as he slowly rolled inside the barn and once they were in Applejack and Rainbow Dash closed the doors behind them. The inside of the barn was completely dark, Spincap then transformed back into his robot mode.
"I didn't know it would be this dark inside," said Spincap.
"That's strange the lantern should be right here," said Applejack.
Then suddenly the entire barn lit up with streamers in the air and horns blowing.
"SURPRISE!!!"
Cheered Pinkie Pie along with a huge crowd of ponies inside the barn. Then suddenly a record player could be heard stopping along with several gasps as the entire crowd inside looked at the giant that had just entered.
"Scrap"

Although the barn was packed it was dead silent as everyone inside looked at the Cybertronian in front of them. All his effort to keep from being seen had been for nothing as Spincap stood there frozen with no idea what to do. Pinkie Pie who was wearing a party hat and big grin turned back towards the crowd and raised her forelegs to the air.
"What's with everypony the guest of honor is here! Lets party!" cheered Pinkie as she blow a party horn.
Suddenly the music started playing again while the party guests started to mutter amongst themselves, unsure what to make of the giant alien.
"Pinkie Pie! What do y'ah think you're doing and what are all these ponies doing here?" said Applejack.
"Well duhhh, It's a welcoming party for Spincap and since this barn is the only place big enough for him to stay I had everypony come here" Pinkie replied.
"Wait does Granny Smith and Big Mac know your using the barn?" asked Applejack.
"Of course they know silly, they're right over there" Pinkie said as she pointed to their direction.
Just like the others both Big Mac and Granny Smith had their mouths open in shock when they saw the giant alien.
"They said it was O.k." said Pinkie. (squee)
"Pinkie we were trying to help Spincap not get noticed" said Twilight.
"Well then why did you bring him here?" Pinkie Pie asked.
Twilight face hoofed knowing that this conversation would go nowhere. Meanwhile Spincap was still standing before a crowd of ponies trying figure out what to do. Then suddenly he could hear a small voice call him.
"Hey mister down here!"
Spincap looked down and saw one of the ponies standing close to him, the pony was pegasus that had an orange coat and a purple mane she was also smaller than the others.
"Hi, I'm Scootaloo, what your name?" said the filly.
"...I'm Spincap," he said after getting down onto one knee to get a better look at her.
"Spincap huh, that's so cool I never seen anything like you and these are my friends Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom" she said pointing to two other fillies who were waving a couple steps away.
From what he could tell, her two friends were a unicorn and an earth pony. The unicorn was white and had a light purple mane and the other was yellow with a red mane and big red bow on her head. Then the two came closer to join their friend.
"Hi there," said Apple Bloom.
"Hello," said Sweetie Belle "Pinkie Pie says your an alien is that true?"
"Yeah, it's true" he replied.
"WOW!" said all three at once.
"Hey Spincap!" said Pinkie Pie who was holding a plate, "here I brought you some cake it's chocolate!"
Spincap remembered her mentioning this cake earlier when they first met. Now that she was presenting it to him, he stared at the colorful and spongy looking treat not sure what to make of it.
"What is this cake anyways?" he asked still looking at it, "what do I do with it?"
Soon after he said that the Pink mare started laughing and after a few seconds she answered him.
"What kind of question is that!?" she said, "You eat it of course!"
"Eat?" he asked, "wait, as in consume right? or refueling?"
"Sure why not, here just try some" said Pinkie.
"I can't" Spincap replied.
"W..what, why? is there something wrong with? do you not like chocolate?" said Pinkie with a sad tone.
"No" he said.
"Then what's wrong?" asked Pinkie.
"I don't have a mouth" he said bluntly.
Pinkie Pie suddenly gave a loud gasp at this realization.
"That terrible! how will you eat or taste any of the wonderful treats in the world? It must be awful not having a mouth, wait how are you able to speak then?" she asked.
"Well I do have a vocal unite," he answered.
"So you are a robot!" said Pinkie.
"No I'm cybernetic organism," Spincap answered.
"What's the diff-"
"Excuse me Spincap," interrupted Twilight, "I just what to say that I'm really sorry about this."
"Me to," Applejack added, "I know y'ah didn't want to get any attention to yourself and it was my idea to bring you here. To be honest I'm a little surprised they're all taking it so well."
"No one's panicking so I guess it turn out fine," said Spincap.
He looked around the barn and saw that the natives were slowly warming up to him. Eventually some of them came up to him to ask him questions, mostly they asked what his name was and what he thought of the party. Except for one aqua green unicorn who kept asking him about his appendages and if he's ever seen a creature called a hue mon? As the party went on through the night he even saw the five mares who brought him here were starting to loosen up and before long they were enjoying themselves. Spincap then saw Twilight doing something very strange, she was rocking her head back and forth with her tongue out while she waved a fore and hind leg in the air switching them every few seconds.
What is she doing? is she... dancing? wow I've seen out of control electrical cables that flailed with more grace than that he thought.
"Hey Spinny! don't just stand there come on bust a move!" cheered Pinkie Pie.
"That's alright I'm fine here," he replied.
"Aw come on! do it do it do it" said Pinkie as some of the others began to chant as well.
Realizing that they weren't going to stop pestering him about it he finally gave in.
I only know one dance, here goes he thought.
As the music played Spincap's body was still, then he stiffly jerked his arms upwards than down all the while turning his wait left then right. The entirety of his dance routine was just him shifting his body and limbs in different angles.
"Hey you're pretty good!" said Twilight who was dancing next to him.
"Uh... thanks" Spincap replied.
The party lasted late into the night and eventually it came to an end as the last of the party guests left the barn to back to their homes. Now that the party was over the only ones that were left inside were the mane six and Spincap. Most of them were cleaning up the barn while Twilight and Pinkie Pie were with Spincap talking.
"WHAT A PARTY RIGHT? YOU HAD FUN DIDN'T YOU SPINCAP?" Pinkie asked excitedly.
"It, it was something," Spincap answered.
"WE HAVE TO DO THIS AGAIN REALLY, REALLY SOON!" she cheered.
"Pinkie please its really late now" said Twilight, "so Spincap I was really hoping you could answer some *yawn*... some questions."
"I think that can wait till tomorrow sugar cube, heck I think it's about time we all get some sleep," said Applejack.
"I guess you're right Applejack, Spincap is that alright with you?" said Twilight.
"Sure that's fine with me," he replied.
"Anyways I know it an't much but here's a spot with enough hay for you to sleep on, sorry we don't have a blanket big enough for you," said Applejack.
"This is plenty thanks" he said.
"well good night big guy, I gotta be up to buck apples in the morning," said Applejack.
One by one they each said good night to the Cybertronian, which he then said back to them. Then they each proceeded to leave the barn except for Fluttershy was the last inside with him.
"Are you sure you're going to be fine?" she asked.
"It's no recharge slab but it'll do," Spincap replied.
"You mean a bed right?" Fluttershy asked.
"If that's what you call them here then yeah," he said as he sat down on the bile of hay.
"Hey Fluttershy are you coming!?" yelled Rainbow Dash who was at the barn door with the others.
"Oh... coming" Fluttershy answered, "I guess I should go home now, I know it wasn't what you expected but I do hope you had a good time tonight, so good night."
With that she was gone, leaving Spincap the only one inside the barn. With the lights out he laid on his back onto the hay and then he went over everything that had happened to him today in his head.
This has to be the weirdest solar cycle of my life, I wake up in an alien world and then I end up in a party with them? he thought,If only they had Engex, but still it was kind of fun.
The more he thought about it the more he realized that he did have a lot of fun tonight. Possibly the most fun he's had in a long time despite the lack of any alcoholic beverages. Back on Cybertron there wasn't much to celebrate since the war started so long ago. Although there were victory parties, they were just among the Decepticon soldiers and being a maintenance bot then most of the time he was just there to clean up afterwards. Spincap just laid there thinking about what he was going to do next once the sun was up and then drifted off into sleep mode.

Interview
After a good night's sleep, Twilight woke up early in the morning despite being up late last night at Spincap's welcome party. Like every morning as soon as she was up, she vigilantly made up a list of the day's objectives. At the top of the list was of course interviewing Spincap, the incredible alien she and her friends meet yesterday. Most ponies would still be asleep this early after one of Pinkie Pie's late night parties but the excitement of interviewing a visitor from another world was enough to keep this mare wide awake. After making her check list and a check list for her check list, Twilight then prepared her saddle bag with plenty of parchments, quills, and ink bottles. Now that she had her things ready she then went over to Spike's bed to wake him up.
"Spike, wake up Spike," she said trying to wake him up.
The baby dragon mumbled something unintelligible as he turned facing away from Twilight.
"Spike wake up," she said a little louder.
"What is it?" said Spike in an annoyed tone.
"Get up Spike there's somepo-, I mean someone incredible you have meet," Said Twilight.
"Whoever it is can he or she wait till later? It's too early," said Spike as he wrapped himself with blanket.
Twilight rolled her eyes and then used her magic to levitate Spike out of bed and onto her back.
"Come on Twilight," muttered Spike.
"Trust me Spike, you don't want to miss this," said Twilight.
When she got home last night Spike was already asleep so Twilight had not told him about Spincap yet. So with Spike and her saddle bag ready, Twilight went down the stairs and then they were out the door.
Inside the barn at Sweet Apple Acres Spincap laid on a huge pile of hay still in sleep mode.
"Hello, Mr. Spincap? wake up sleepy head," said a voice.
Spincap's sensors picked up on whoever it was that had just spoken which awoke him up from sleep mode.
"Huh?... what?" he said as his optics began to reactivate.
"Ah said it's time to wake up," said the voice again.
As his vision focused, he was able to see who it was that was speaking to him. It was Apple Bloom one of the fillies he met at last night's party and she was sitting on his chest.
"Ah came by to say good morning, so good morning," said Apple Bloom.
"Good... morning," said Spincap.
Then it accord to him that it had been a long time since he said those words. After all, because of the war and the depleting resources good mornings weren't that often on Cybertron.
"Anyways m'ah sister Applejack wanted me to see how you were doing, and if you slept OK," said Apple Bloom.
"I'm fine," Spincap said as he got to his feet, "wait Applejacks your sister?"
"Of course she is don't you see the family resemblance?" said an amused Apple Bloom.
"APPLE BLOOM!" yelled someone from outside the barn.
"That's her now," said Apple Bloom.
"Apple Bloom," said Applejack as she entered the barn, "do you have any idea what time it is? you're going to be late for school."
It turned out that Applejack wasn't alone when she entered because right behind her was Twilight with a sleepy spike on her back.
"Sorry sis, I was just talking to Mr. Spincap," said the yellow filly.
"Why are we here Twilight?" asked Spike, "I thought there was somepony you wanted me to-."
Spike was speechless the moment he saw the giant that was inside the barn.
"T...T... Twilight! Who is-, Why is there a giant in here!" yelled Spike.
"Calm down Spike," said Twilight, "this is who I wanted you to meet."
"Apple Bloom you get going to school now, you can talk the Spincap when you get back alright?" said Applejack.
"Alright," said the filly, "see y'ah later Mr. Spincap."
"Twilight, I need to get back to work so I'll see y'ah later, you too big guy!" said Applejack.
With both apple sisters out of the barn the only ones that were left inside were Spincap, Twilight, and Spike.
"Good morning Spincap, Spike don't be rude," said Twilight.
"Gggg good morning?" stammered Spike.
"Good Morning," said Spincap.
"Sorry I know its early but it'd be really great if we can do that interview I mentioned yesterday," said Twilight.
"Sure thing," said Spincap.
I guess the sooner we get this over with the better he thought.
"Wonderful" said a gleeful Twilight.
Using her magic Twilight then rummaged through her saddle bag pulling out several rolls of paper, some ink and a quell.
"Whoa!" said Spincap who was amazed by Twilight's sudden use of telekinesis, "h- how did you do that?"
"Huh? do what?" said a startled Twilight.
"Moving things with your mind, how are you doing that?" he said.
"What? you mean magic?" asked a confused Twilight.
"Magic, MAGIC? you mean magic is real?" said Spincap.
"What? of course magic is real," said Twilight, "isn't there magic on your planet?"
"In stories and legends but I never thought it could be done, can all of you ponies use magic?" he asked.
"No, just us unicorns and for most it's just a little bit," Twilight explained.
"So there is no magic on your world, that's so strange," said Twilight as she wrote this piece of information down, "But what about your transformation yesterday? how did you do that without magic?"
"Transformation? what transformation?" asked Spike.
"That's part of my biology," said Spincap.
"What's he talking about Twilight?" asked Spike.
*sigh* "Spincap you wouldn't mind showing Spike would you?" asked Twilight.
"Alright," he replied.
Spincap stepped back a bit and as Twilight and Spike watched he shifted into is vehicle mode. Even though this was Twilight's second time seeing Spincap transform it still put her in awe. Then when she turned to see Spike's reaction she couldn't help but snicker. Spike was speechless as his jaw dropped and his eyes were huge, it wasn't till a few seconds had passed when finally spoke.
"That was... AMAZING!" said Spike.
"I know Spike, Spincap you don't mind if we took a good look at you in this form do you?" Twilight asked.
"No, go ahead," he answered from the speakers.
Spike and Twilight walked up to Spincap to examine his vehicle mode. Twilight looked at everything the smooth metallic texture, the low hum of the engine, the tread of the wheels and the lights. Spike was on the opposite side to Twilight and with his claw he was just about to touch the side of the vehicle.
"Watch the paint will you?" said Spincap.
"Oh sorry," said Spike as he carefully felt the smooth metal.
After the exterior examination was complete, Twilight and Spike move away from Spincap to give him room to transform back.
"Thank you Spincap," said Twilight as she wrote down more information.
Spincap transformed again and was back in his robot mode.
"No problem," said Spincap.
"Can everyone on your planet do that?" asked Twilight.
"Yeah, it's a fundamental part of our biology," he answered.
"Yes speaking of biology, I have to ask, Spincap are you a machine?" said Twilight, "At first when we first meet you yesterday I thought you were wearing some kind of armor. But the way you changed, it just can't be possible for any living thing to do something like that."
"Well that depends on what you mean by alive, but yeah my body is mechanical in nature," Spincap answered.
"Could you please explain?" she asked.
"You see on my planet we are all cybernetic beings so we don't see life like you would. For us consciences is what makes us living beings," Spincap explain.
"I see, it's like I think therefore I am," said Twilight.
"Uh, sure," said Spincap.
"This is so fascinating," cheered Twilight.
Twilight and Spincap continued their interview for most of the morning. Twilight had written down everything Spincap had told her about Cybertron, and Cybertronians in general which she had written down on several scrolls. Having skipped breakfast Spike had left the barn and went straight to the farm house to ask for food, leaving Twilight and Spincap alone. Then came the moment when Twilight asked why did he come to their planet in the first place. That's when Spincap went silent, up until now he had not mention the war or that he was a soldier and that he crash landed on this planet by a freak accident because of a destabilized Space Bridge.
If I tell her I'm a soldier in a war, would she and the others still be willing to trust me? Spincap thought.
That's was when Applejack returned to the barn since she had finished her morning chores, she also happened to bring an apple pie for the two of them.
"Well hello there," said Applejack, "Spike told me you skipped breakfast so I brought you two a fresh baked pie."
"Thanks Applejack, it smells real good," said Twilight whose stomach was beginning to growl.
Applejack started to cut the pie and handed a piece on a plate to Twilight and then she went up to Spincap to hand one to him.
"Here you go big guy have some pie," said Applejack.
Spincap looked at the plate which it reminded him of the cake from last night's party.
"This pie, is it like cake?" he asked.
"Sort of," said Applejack, "try it, it's real good."
"Sorry but, I won't be able to process it," said Spincap.
"Huh process? Is there something wrong with the pie?" asked Applejack.
"No Applejack, what he means is that he can't digest it or anything else we ponies eat," said Twilight after taking a bite out of the pie.
"Can't digest it? Then how's he gonna survive without food? He's not a meat eater is he?" asked Applejack.
"I survive off Energon," answered Spincap.
"Ener- what-a?" said a confused Applejack.
"Energon," said Twilight, "it's what his people consume to survive."
"And what exactly is this Energon?" asked Applejack.
"It's the life blood of Primus that sustains all Cybertronians," answered Spincap.
Confused, Applejack did not know how to respond to that.
"It turns out that Spincap and the rest of his people are all living machines and Energon is the fuel that powers them," explained Twilight.
"Wow, so you're a machine huh?" said Applejack.
"Yeah and speaking of Energon," said Spincap as he got to his feet, "I really should get back to my pod for a refill."
"But I have more questions to ask you," said Twilight.
"Well there going to have to wait," said Spincap as he stepped towards the barn door.
Spincap ducked down and pushed the doors open and to their surprise Fluttershy was standing at the other side of the entrance, she also had a little green bird with her.
"Oh, hello Spincap and hello to you too Twilight, Applejack," said Fluttershy.
"Fluttershy how long have you been outside the door?" asked Twilight.
"Yeah why didn't you come in?" said Applejack.
"I was only out there for a few minutes and it sounded like you three were having an important conversation so I waited," said Fluttershy.
"So what brings you all the way here?" asked Applejack.
"Well I thought that Spincap wouldn't want to stay in this barn forever so I asked my animal friends if they could find a place nearby big enough for him to stay in... and."
"And?" asked both Applejack and Twilight.
"And... one of birds came back and told me he found the perfect place," said Fluttershy.
"Really?" said Spincap, Applejack and Twilight in unison.
"Yes and if it's o.k. with all of you I can take the three of you there now," said Fluttershy.
All eyes were on Spincap waiting for is answer.
O.k. this I gotta see he thought.
"Sure I guess I can take a look" he answered.
"Oh good," said Fluttershy.
Fluttershy then asked the bird to lead them to the location and as it flew the Cybertronian and three mares began to follow.

Spincap, Twilight, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Spike had left Sweet Apple Acres and were on foot/hoof as they followed the small bird. It turned out that they were not very far from Fluttershy's cottage and had now just entered the Everfree Forest. Because of how small they were the four mares and baby dragon had no problem walking through the woods. Spincap on the other hand was starting to have trouble getting around the trees which were beginning to get closer together as they went farther in. Before long they had reached their destination as they exited the forest and into a large clearing.
"There it is," said Fluttershy as she pointed towards a large cave.
Another cave? Spincap thought.
The cave entrance was indeed big enough for Spincap and as the five of them then went inside they discovered how big it truly was.
"Wow! this cave is huge!" said Spike.
"It's almost as big as the one where we found your space craft," said Twilight.
"It's defiantly big enough," said an impressed Spincap.
"And it ain't too far from Ponyville either," said Applejack.
Fluttershy was just finishing talking to the little bird when she turned towards her friends.
"Apparently this cave used to belong to an Ursa Major but you don't have to worry, it moved out a long time ago," said Fluttershy.
"But how are you going to get your ship all the way down here if its buried under the mountain?" asked Applejack.
"It's impossible," said Twilight.
"I don't think I need the whole ship," said Spincap, "I just need to get the stores on Energon along with some other equipment down here."
"That's a good idea, that will save you a lot of time and effort," said Twilight.
Spincap had originally planned to stay with the escape pod so that he could keep his existence hidden from the natives and only take occasional trips to the town for observation. But now that most of the town had become aware of his existence that plan had become pointless. Then after some time examining the size of the cave all five of them then went back outside.
"Well then I guess I should head back to my ship for those supplies." said Spincap.
"Wait, let us help you," said Twilight.
"Thanks but I think I can handle it myself," said Spincap.
"But with our help you'll be finished a lot sooner," explained Twilight.
"Look no offence but your all pretty small I don't think you'll be much help," said the Cybertronian.
"Listen here buddy, as our new friend were going to help you and that's that," said Applejack.
"We're... friends?" he asked.
"Of course we are," Applejack answered as if it was the obvious answered.
He was surprised at how fast these natives had warmed up to him and had now considered him their friend. Just by looking at these three mares Spincap knew they were not going to quit and so he gave in.
"Alright," said Spincap.
Before they went any farther into the forest they all went back to Sweet Apple Acres. Twilight and Fluttershy then left the farm to get the rest of their friends before they left for Spincap's ship. While waiting for the others to arrive Spincap was helping Applejack prepare a large cart that the Apple family uses to transport their barrels of cider for the trip. Meanwhile Spike was sitting at the front of the cart asking Spincap some questions of his own.
"So Spincap, what do you think of our world?" asked Spike.
"Well for an organic world, it's not bad," Spincap answered.
"So you're really from a mechanical world huh? no trees or apples?" asked Applejack.
"Nope just metal and circuitry," said Spincap.
"Well an't that something, a entire mechanical world filled with transforming living machines, who knew?" said Applejack.
After a few minutes Twilight and Fluttershy finally returned and with them were Pinkie Pie, Rarity and Rainbow Dash.
"Alright then let's get journey started!" cheered Pinkie Pie.
Now that they were all present and the cart ready the six mares and the Cybertronian were ready to go. But just before they were started they heard a voice call out to them.
"Hay Applejack wait up!"
All seven of them turned around to see who it was that was calling them and it turned out to be Apple Bloom. She was running towards them and with her were Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo. All three of them were wearing their red capes and had a look of excitement on their faces.
"What are you three doing here? Aren't you suppose to be at school?" said Applejack.
"Don't tell me the three of you skipped school?" asked Rarity.
"We didn't Rarity, school ended early today," said Sweetie Belle.
"So we came back here to see Mr. Spincap and that's when Granny Smith told us that all of you are gonna to help him move his stuff to his new home. So we're here to help out," said Apple Bloom.
"Oh no Apple Bloom Its too dangerous," said Applejack.
"That's right Sweetie Belle, the Everfree forest is no place for a filly," said Rarity.
"Ah man," said Scootaloo.
"Come on Applejack, we can help we might be able to finally earn our cutie marks, " pleaded Apple Bloom.
"Apple Bloom have I always told you?" asked Applejack sternly.
"We're not allowed to go into the Everfree Forest unless we have an adult with us," she answered, "and all seven of you are adults and besides look at how big Mr. Spincap is, what's gonna mess with us with him around?"
"She's got you there," said Rainbow Dash.
*sigh* "fine, as long as the three of you stay close to us," said Applejack.
"YAY! CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS GAINT ALIEN FURNITURE MOVERS GO!!!" cheered the three fillies.
Now that they were ready Spincap, the Main Six, Spike and the crusaders went on their way to the pod to retrieve the equipment that the Cybertronian needed. As always the Everfree Forest was dark even during the day and it seemed to get darker as they went farther. Fortunately the lights from Spincap's body lit the way making it easier for the others to see where they were going. Being the two most athletic of the group Rainbow Dash and Applejack pulled the cart behind them, which Spike and the three fillies were riding.
"What kind of cutie mark do y'ah think we'll get for this?" said Apple Bloom.
"Since we're helping Spincap out I bet it'll have something to do with space since he's an alien and all," said Scootaloo.
"But we're just moving thing out, wouldn't our cutie marks be something involving furniture? " said Sweetie Belle.
As the crusaders continued to talk amongst themselves Twilight picked up the her pace so she could be closer to Spincap.
"Sorry about this, Those three fillies can be a handful sometimes they're just so eager to earn their cutie marks," said Twilight.
"Yeah I was just about to ask, what is cutie mark anyways?" he asked.
"WHAT? you don't know what a cutie mark?" asked Scootaloo who was able to hear what the Cybertronian said.
"No I don't, but it seems pretty important," Spincap answered.
"Well you see it the mark that's on our flanks see," said Twilight.
Spincap stop to look at where Twilight was pointing to and saw an image of one big star surrounded by five smaller stars. He then looked at the others and except for the three fillies on the cart he saw that they all had a emblem on their flanks.
"Are those supposed to be the factions you all belong to?" he asked.
"Factions? No cutie marks are the symbol of our talent and who we are as individuals. You see when a pony finally discovers who they are and where their place in the world is, then their cutie mark appears," Twilight explained.
"So you all have the freedom to find your place in the world for yourselves?" Spincap asked.
"Of course we do, that kind of thing can't be decided for us," said Twilight.
"Wow, I wish it was like that on Cybertron," said Spincap.
"What do y'ah mean," asked Apple Bloom.
Spincap was silent for a moment, then he decided since he already let it slip he might as well tell them.
"Back on my planet Cybertron there was a caste system ,we didn't have a choice on what we wanted to be," said Spincap.
"So you couldn't find your destiny for yourself?" asked Sweetie Belle.
"We couldn't find our purpose like you can because from the moment we came into existence our place was decided for us and that was it. It didn't matter if we like our roles or not, we couldn't do anything about it," Spincap explained.
"That sounds like me before I got my cutie mark," said Pinkie Pie who was blowing her nose on a tissue, "back when I lived at my family's rock farm I never felt truly happy harvesting rocks. It wasn't till I got my cutie mark and found my true calling when I finally felt complete."
"What was your role back on Cybertron?" asked Fluttershy.
Spincap thought back about his life before the war, before he became a Decepticon.
"I was a factory worker back in Kaon, the city I lived pretty much my whole life in. I mostly did maintenance, fixing machinery, cleaning up messes ... and bodies." said Spincap.
"BODIES?!" they all said.
"Yeah our safety wasn't really a priory, every now and then there would be an industrial accident, bots would get crushed, fried, or melted then I would have to drag off what's left of them out for recycling," Spincap explained.
"That's awful, no wonder you left your world," said Rarity.
"Uh yeah that's why," Spincap lied, "I don't really want to talk about it right now and besides I think we're close the where the pod is."
"We completely understand," said Twilight.
"Wait I just one more question," said Scootaloo, "You said you don't know what a cutie mark is, so what is that mark on your shoulders and chest then?"
Spincap realized that she was referring to the Decepticons symbols that were on his body.
"What this? Spincap replied.
"You said something about factions earlier did you belong to one?" asked Twilight.
"So it's a club thing, like the Cutie Mark Crusaders logo right?" asked Apple Bloom.
"Yeah that's it, a club," he answered.
"It looks menacing," said Sweetie Belle.
"Yeah it's kinda creepy," said Spike.
"Really? I always thought it looked cool," said Spincap.
"Excuse me but shouldn't we get moving?" said Rainbow Dash.
"Your right we better get going," said Spincap.
They continued their way through the forest and after a while they finally made it to the cave where the pod was located. being careful they all entered the cave and walked through the tunnel and eventually they arrived at the pod's location. It was dark and the only lights inside were coming from Spincap but then Twilight cast an illumination spell that brought light througout the whole chamber.
"Whoa!" said Spike and the three fillies.
"So that's the space ship? This is so cool!" said Spike.
"It's enormous," said Rarity.
"Well let's get started," said Spincap.
Spincap walked up to the pod and when he reached the haul of the ship he opened the hatch. The others slowly walked closer and stopped when they saw Spincap enter the ship. Twilight was the first to approach the pod and was then followed by Rainbow Dash. Because the hatch was so high Twilight had to teleport herself so she could get inside the alien craft. Spincap was rummaging around the pod grabbing anything that was not attached to the pod's structure. Already he had a small crate in his hands with a portable scanner, transmission receiver, some tools and a buffer that he had found inside. As he was about to exit the pod to check on everyone outside he was then startled by a flash of light which Twilight suddenly appeared inside.
"... YOU CAN TELEPORT TOO?" said a shocked Spincap.
"I'm sorry, did I startle you?" said Twilight apologetically.
"N-No just try giving me a heads up next time o.k." he replied.
I wonder what else they can do with magic he thought.
Twilight was amazed as she took a look around the interior of the pod and saw how advanced it looked. That was when Rainbow Dash flew inside and she too was stunned when she saw how big the space inside was compared to them.
"This is so cool!" said Rainbow Dash.
"I know it's amazing," said Twilight, "is there anything we can do to help?"
"I got most of what I need in here," answered Spincap pointing to the box he was holding, "all that's left are the Energon cubes over there."
The two mares looked towards the direction he had pointed and saw several large cubes stacked in a pile. With a closer look they saw that some of the containers had a strange multicolored liquid inside. The rest of the containers stored the Energon in its crystal form ready for conversion.
"So this is that Energon stuff you mentioned right?" asked Rainbow Dash.
"Yeah, we just need to move this stuff out," answered Spincap.
One by one each of the ponies entered the alien craft and after some brief ooh's and aah's they got to work. Spincap carried some of the containers outside himself and placed them in the cart Applejack brought. Pinkie Pie who out of nowhere was wearing an orange vest and was carrying two light up cones and was using them to direct Twilight and Rarity, who were both using their magic to levitate several cubes out of the pod. With the help of everyone there they eventually got all of the containers out of the pod and were now heading back towards the cave exit. Unfortunately the cart wasn't big enough to carry all the containers so Spincap had to carry some of the Energon out of the cave himself. Deciding that it would be easier to transport Spincap transformed into his vehicle mode.
"Woah! Cool!" said Pinkie and the three fillies.
All together they help put the containers inside of Spincap and because the cart was too heavy for Applejack and Rainbow Dash to go all the way back to town, they used the rope they brought with them to tie the cart onto Spincap. With Twilight and Pinkie Pie in the front seat of the vehicle and the rest of them on the cart, they were ready to go back to town.
"Everyone ready?" said Spincap.
"We're good to go!" answered Applejack.
"Alright," Spincap replied.
With the cart secured behind him Spincap drove into the forest being careful not to go too fast. It was early in the evening when they got back to the new cave that was closer to Ponyville. As soon as Twilight and Pinkie got out and with them the containers of Energon, Spincap was able to change back into his robot mode. Now that all of the containers were inside the new location they were finally done for the day.
"Woo, what a day," said Rainbow Dash.
"I know and I need to take Spike home, he's already asleep," said Twilight as she carried Spike on her back.
"Apple Bloom, time the go home," said Applejack.
"You too Sweetie Belle," said Rarity.
As the three fillies walked towards the others they noticed that they had their heads down.
"Now what's got you three down?" asked Applejack.
"We did all that work and we still didn't get our cutie marks," said Apple Bloom.
"Don't you worry you'll get your cutie marks eventually, now say good bye to Spincap we need to get you home," said Applejack.
"Bye Mr. Spincap," said each of the crusaders.
"See ya," he replied.
"Are you sure you don't need any help getting set up?" asked Fluttershy.
"No I'm fine," he answered.
"O.k." said the yellow pegasus.
"Bye, Spincap and don't worry we'll have your house warming party later!" said Pinkie Pie as she waved him good bye for the night.
"Ah... sure... why not," Spincap replied as he waved to all of them.
Now that all the ponies and the baby dragon were gone, Spincap went over to his inventory and grabbed a vial of Energon from one of the containers. After he injected the Energon into his intake port he then grabbed the portable transmission receiver and activated it. When he found that there were no replies to the message he sent, he set it down and began to think about his current situation. For now this cave was a better solution to where to stay for the time being at least until a rescue ship came to get him.
I hope my message went through so they can come and get me he thought, but what if it didn't? What if they just leave me here? No, I need to be positive there probably on their way now.
And that's when it hit him.
"SCRAP!!! if a rescue ship comes to get me there gonna ask how I got here in the first place. They'll think I deserted! They'll probably smelt me down! WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?" Spincap panicked, "wait I need to calm down, either they don't get my signal and I'm stuck here, or they do get it but don't come or they do come and ether slag me here or back on Cybertron ... or maybe they won't terminate me and everything will be fine... right?."
It was almost dark when Twilight returned home to the library and as soon as she locked the door she went up the stairs to put Spike to bed. Then as soon as she tucked the baby dragon in Twilight went back down to go over all the notes she had taken from her interview with Spincap. It was after she was done organizing her notes when she pulled up a separate piece of paper and began writing.
"Dear Princess Celestia
I apologize for not writing to you sooner but, you're not going to believe what has happen in the last two days."
Back on Cybertron within the Decepticon fortress known as Darkmount, Shockwave was in his lab working on one of his most recent experiments. That was when one of his many technicians entered into the lab from the door behind him.
"Commander Shockwave, we have just received a distress signal from one of our soldiers," said the technician.
"And why are disturbing my valuable research with this information?" said Shockwave coldly without even turning around.
"My apologies sir, but it's about the origin of the signal, we thought you should look at it yourself, sir," said the technician.
Shockwave said nothing as he turned around to faced the technician with his single glowing eye and extended his hand to him. The technician placed the data pad in the hand of the head science officer and after a few seconds Shockwave spoke.
"Interesting," Shockwave said, "you are dismissed."
"Yes sir," saluted the technician as he left the lab.
Shockwave then heard a voice calling him from the intercom.
"Commander Shockwave we are receiving a live feed from Lord Megatron, he wishes to speak to you."
"Very well," Shockwave replied.
Within seconds a holographic image of the Decepticon leader's head and upper torso had appeared inside the lab. The hologram was huge and took up much of the space within the lab making Megatron look more imposing than normal.
"Shockwave I want to know what progress you have made on Cybertron," said Megatron.
"Of course my lord," relied Shockwave, "I report that although our forces have suffered heavy losses, we have however made significant progress in eliminating what remaining Autobots here on Cybertron."
"Good, and what is the current status of your most recent project?" asked Megatron.
"Given our current situation I have to report that it is progressing as expected my lord," answered Shockwave.
"Very well, Is there anything else you have to report?" said Megatron.
"Yes there is Lord Megatron," replied Shockwave, "It appears that we have received a distress signal from one of our soldiers however the origin of the signal does not match any known stellar system on record. I recommend that we send a space vessel to not only retrieve the soldier but to explore the system for scientific purposes."
"Denied!" shouted Megatron, "The only scientific purposes I care about is whatever will win me this war. I care not for whatever reason this soldier has for being there in the first place, leave him to whatever fate awaits him. I will not waste time or precious Energon on a single soldier do I make myself clear?"
"... Your reasoning is logical my lord," Shockwave replied.
"Good," said Megatron as his image suddenly disappeared leaving the scientist alone inside the lab.
Shockwave was still holding the data pad in his hand and as he looked at it again he could not help but wonder.
"These coordinates... where have I seen them before?"

It was almost noon the next day when Spike finally woke up to the sound of trotting coming from down stairs. After getting up from his bed he walked out of the bedroom and as he climbed down the stairs he saw Twilight frantically cleaning and reorganizing the entire library.
"Twilight what are you doing? We already reorganized the library the other day," said Spike who was rubbing his eyes.
"Spike! it's about time you woke up," said Twilight, "We have to get everything ready fast, I already organized half of the library and there's still much to do!"
"Calm down Twilight, what's got you all riled up?" asked Spiked.
"Just read for yourself," said Twilight as she used her magic to hand him a letter.
"Wait didn't I cough this up earlier?" Spike said.
"Yes and you went back to sleep even though I told you to get ready," Twilight said as she continued her cleaning.
Spike took a look at the letter in his hands and started read it.
To my faithful student,
I must confess that when I first read your letter last night I was left completely dumbfounded. At first I thought that you must have been mistaken but then I recalled how you have been right before and because of that I have come to have more trust in your instincts. It is because of the importance of your discovery that I along with my sister Luna will be arriving at Ponyville tomorrow at the Library as soon as possible. I ask that you please inform this special visitor of our arrival.
Your Teacher,
Princess Celestia
After reading the letter Spike looked back at Twilight who was still cleaning the library.
"O.k. so the princesses are coming for a visit what's the big deal?" said Spike.
"The big deal?, THE BIG DEAL?" said Twilight, "THE BIG DEAL IS THAT BOTH PRINCESS ARE COMING HERE TO SEE SPINCAP AND EVERYTHING HAS TO BE PREFECT FOR THEIR ARRIVAL!"
"Uh Twilight, when has it ever been perfect?" asked Spike.
"That's not the point Spike and I also need to let the others know that the princesses are coming," said Twilight.
"But what about Spincap? who's going to tell him?" asked the baby dragon.
*gasp* "Your right Spike," said Twilight.
As Twilight thought of a solution she suddenly got an idea and then she turned to face her assistant.
"Spike do you remember where the cave Spincap is staying at from yesterday?" she asked.
"Yeah, why?" Spike asked.
"I need you to go and let Spincap know about the Princesses' arrival while I get everything else ready," said Twilight.
"WHAT!? you mean I'm not going to be stuck here like always?" said an excited spike.
"Not this time Spike, but I need you to go right now," said Twilight.
"You got it!" said Spike as he ran out the door.
Spike eventually made it outside of Ponyville and had entered the forest to find Spincap. As he went deeper into the forest the darker it got and as he continued he was suddenly startled by the sound of a loud crack and then a crash.
"What was that?" he asked himself as he felt the ground shake beneath him.
Soon after he heard another crack followed by a crash but this time it sounded closer from where he was standing. Then suddenly he heard the sound of one of trees next to him bend and with a loud crack the light from the sun began to shine on the baby dragon. Spike was momentarily blinded by the light as he looked up and as his vision began to clear he saw the familiar shape of a giant standing in front of him holding a broken tree.
"Spincap... is that you?" Spike asked.
"Huh? what?" replied the Cybertronian as he looked down at the baby dragon.
"Oh uh, Spike was it?" asked Spincap as he set the tree down.
"Yeah but what are you doing pulling out trees?" Spike replied.
"What does it look like I'm doing?" Spincap asked, "I'm clearing a path, remember I had trouble getting round here because of these trees so I'm getting rid of them. It'll also make traveling to town easier in alt-mode."
"So how long have you been doing that?" said Spike.
"I don't know since before the sun came up," Spincap answered.
"Whoa, didn't you get any sleep?" Spike asked.
"A little but I didn't need much," said Spincap.
The truth was that because of his current predicament Spincap could not maintain sleep mode. So to keep his mind off it and since he needed to clear a path to the cave anyways he decided to get to work removing the trees. As he put down the tree he then walked up to the next one and grabbed hold of it. Spincap wasn't as strong compared to the other Decepticons but after some effort and with another loud crack he was able to uproot the tree.
"So... what brings you here?" Spincap asked as he turned to face the baby dragon.
Spike didn't say a word and was in awe as he watched the Cybertronian just pulled the tree out of the ground.
"... oh right, I came by to tell you that the Princesses are coming to meet you today," said Spike.
"Princesses?" asked Spincap.
"Yeah Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, they're the ones who rule all of Equestria," Spike answered.
"So they're royalty? And they want to meet me?" Spincap replied.
"Yup and from the letter I read they sounded really eager to," said Spike.
"And what time are they coming?" said Spincap.
"I'm not sure they wrote that they'll be in town as soon as they can," said Spike.
"Well if that's the case then I guess I can keep working until they come," said Spincap.
"OK, is it alright I hang out with you?" Spike asked.
"Alright, but don't get to close I don't want you to get hurt," Spincap replied.
Spincap then went back to work pulling out trees and as he did so Spike stood aside making small talk. After a couple of hours later Spincap could already feel the strain on his servo motors. But fortunately for him he had just finished clearing a path. Although the two weren't out of the forest yet the natural clearing into town was wide enough for Spincap to go through.
"Hey look! they're here!" yelled Spike.
Spincap looked at Spike who was pointing up to the sky and then when looked up he thought he saw a gold craft pass by.
"What was that?" asked Spincap.
"It's the Princesses' chariot, they'll be in Ponyville any second to meet you!" said Spike.
"Should we get going then?" said the Cybertronian.
"Yeah before Twilight freaks out if we're late!" said Spike.
Spincap then transformed into his vehicle mode and opened a door to let the baby dragon in. Then after Spike was inside the door closed and they drove off into town.
The six mares had finally gathered together and were now waiting in front of the Library for the Princesses to arrive. As the other five waited patiently Twilight on the other hand was anxiously pacing as she waited.
"Twilight, you need to relax," said Rarity.
"How can I relax? the Prinesses will be here any second!" said Twilight.
"Actually their coming right now!" yelled Pinkie Pie as she pointed to the sky.
The gold chariot looked small from the sky but as it got closer to land the bigger it appeared until finally it landed in front of them. Twilight noticed that the chariot that was pulled by the armored pegasi was bigger than the one Princess Celestia usually rode in. Both the princesses were sitting on the vehicle and as the two sisters got out of the chariot Twilight along with the rest of her friends bowed before them.
"Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, it's so good to see you both," greeted Twilight as she bowed.
"It's good to see you to Twilight," replied Celestia warmly.
"Yes, it has been awhile since we last seen one another Twilight Sparkle," said Luna.
"So Twilight where is this new friend you all made? We are very eager to meet him" said Celestia.
"I'm sorry, but he's a little bit late Princess, but don't worry I sent Spike to go get him and I'm sure they'll be here any minute now!" Twilight panicked.
"It's quite alright Twilight, we can wait" said Celestia.
"Well you don't have to wait long," said Rainbow Dash who was in the air, "here they come."
From the distance a vehicle could be seen coming their way and as it got closer the two Princesses were impressed with the design of the carriage that needed no pulling. The vehicle then stopped in front of them, then the door opened and out came Spike.
"That was so cool!" cheered Spike as he joined the others.
"Is this the alien that Twilight mentioned in her letter?" Luna asked Celestia.
Then before the Princesses' eyes the vehicle transformed and in seconds it became an armored giant. Both Princesses were stunned at the sight of it and when he stepped forward the guards reacted with their spears pointed at the Cybertronian who then raised his hands.
"WAIT!" Shouted Twilight as she teleported between Spincap and the guards, "He's not a threat! please lay down your weapons."
"That's right," said Rainbow Dash as the other five gathered around Twilight, "he's harmless."
As the scene continued a crowd was beginning to gather as the residents watched what was going on between the guards and the Cybertronian. Spicap however just stood there knowing that the spears these guards were carrying would be worthless against his armored body.
"Guards it's alright, lower your weapons," Celestia calmly said.
Although hesitant at first the guards did as they were commanded and lowered their weapons. Both Princesses then walked pass the guards and the Mane Six and were now in front of Spincap who then got down to one knee.
"You must be Spincap, the visitor Twilight wrote to me about," said Celestia looking up, "I must say your much more impressive then what Twilight described."
"Thank you your Highnesses," Spincap replied, "I'm honored that you came all this way to see me."
"Of course we would, but why don't we go somewhere a little more private?" Celestia said pointing to the large crowd that had now gathered around them.
They decided to go to Sweet Apple Acres and once they knew that they were alone the Princesses continued their conversation. They asked how he came to be here so he told them about his awakening and his journey through the Everfree Forest and how he met Fluttershy and the rest of her friends. They asked him several questions about what he was and where he came from and he mostly just repeated everything he told Twilight yesterday. While Spincap was telling the two Princesses everything about yesterday Celestia was examining him and that's when something about him grabbed her attention causing her eyes to widen.
"And that's what happened," finished Spincap.
"That's an incredible story, right sister?" Luna said.
Just then Celestia snapped out of it.
"Ye... yes it is, Thank you Spincap for taking the time to speak with us but we must be going now, royal duties after all," Celestia said.
Spincap just nodded and as the two princesses began to walk away Celestia stopped in front of Twilight.
"Twilight I must speak to you... alone," she said.
Twilight and Celestia walked several feet away from the others and when Celestia was sure that they would not be heard they stopped.
"Twilight I must ask you to keep an eye on Spincap, write to me about everything he does," Celestia whispered.
"But why Princess? Could Spincap be some kind of threat?" Twilight asked softly.
"I don't believe so Twilight, I don't sense any evil in him but still just to be safe I want you to keep me up to date about him and I think it best we keep this to ourselves, can you do that?" said Celestia.
"Yes Princess... I will," Twilight replied.
"Thank you Twilight," Celestia said.
Twilight then bowed as Celestia walked backed towards the chariot which Luna was already on. As the chariot flew away the princesses could see Twilight and her friends waving with Spincap still standing there watching.
"Sister what's wrong?" asked Luna.
"What do you mean, Luna?" Celestia replied.
"Don't pretend sister, I know when something is bothering you, what is it?" Luna said, "Is it about Spincap?"
Celestia hesitated for a moment but then she finally spoke.
"Luna do you remember that dream I had?"
"The one you thought was tied to the volcano Twilight put out became active?" Luna replied.
"Yes, I saw a city in ruin... but there's more to it, I didn't think it was important until I saw Spincap. But within the smoke and dust, I saw an armored giant bigger than Spincap. I couldn't make out any features other than the symbol on its chest... it was the same as the one Spincap bares.

As Spincap watched the chariot that carried the two princesses fly away, he noticed that Fluttershy had flown up to him.
"What do you think of the Princess Celestia and Princess Luna?" she said.
"They seem really nice," Spincap replied.
"Nice?! Is that all you have to say? they're the greatest!" shot Rainbow Dash, "Right Twilight?"
Twilight didn't say anything as she was deep in thought of what Princess Celestia had just asked her to do.
"Uh, Twi?" said Rainbow Dash.
"Huh? what?" Twilight said.
"I said the Princesses are the greatest," said Rainbow Dash.
"Oh yes, of course they are," Twilight answered.
"Twilight are you O.K?" Rarity asked.
"Yes why?" Twilight said.
"You were quiet there for a second," said Rarity, "Does it have anything to do with what you and Princess Celestia were talking about just now?"
"What?... no," Twilight replied.
"What we're the two of ya talk'n about anyways?" Applejack asked.
"Nothing... just an new assignment, that's all," Twilight answered.
"Are ya sure?" Applejack questioned.
"Yes, it's no big deal," Twilight said nervously.
Applejack just stared at Twilight questionably as if her instincts were telling her that her friend wasn't telling the truth.
"So Spincap what are your plans for today?" Pinkie Pie asked.
"I'm... not sure," Spincap replied.
*GASP* "I KNOW! I CAN GIVE YOU A FULL TOUR OF PONYVILLE, THIS IS GOING TO BE SO MUCH FUN I KNOW YOU'LL LOVE IT!" yelled the pink mare who was now face to visor with the Cybertronian holding on the sides of his head with excitement.
"Uh... sure, if you say so," he answered.
"GREAT!! We can start right now!" said Pinkie Pie.
"Oh, can I go?" said Spike.
"Sure Spike, the more the merrier," said Pinkie, "I mean if it's OK with Twilight."
"Please! Twilight," Spike begged on his knees.
Twilight stared at her assistant and came up with an idea.
If Spike goes along than I can ask him about what Spincap does later she thought.
"OK Spike, you can go," she answered.
"ALRIGHT!" Spike cheered.
"LET THE TOUR BEGIN!" Pinkie Pie declared.
Spincap looked at the other five mares who just looked up towards him and shrugged.
"ALRIGHT! TO PONYVILLE!" cheered the pink mare.
Might as well, best chance to get some Intel of this place he thought as he changed into his vehicle mode.
As soon as Pinkie Pie and Spike were inside the vehicle, Spincap closed the doors and drove off into town. The three of them spent the next few hours driving all over Ponyville as Pinkie Pie pointed out the all its locations.
"That's town hall over there where the Mayor works, you didn't hear this from me but her mane is not naturally grey."
"And that's Sugar Cube Corner where the Cakes work and live and so do I, we also make the best cakes in all of Equestria!"
"That's the market place and, and? OH! and that over there is Carousel Boutique where Rarity makes the most amazing dresses."
Spincap was doing his best to remember all of the places they went to even though the pink mare continued to talk none stop. Spincap also noticed how many of the residents watched with excitement as they drove by. He could even hear some of them talking about how much they would like a chance to have a ride too. By late afternoon Pinkie Pie had finished her tour and after being dropped off at Sugar Cube Corner. Now that it was just him and Spike, Spincap drove back to his cave and when they arrived Spike jumped out so that he can change back into his robot mode.
"You sure you don't need to be back home?" Spincap asked.
"No way I'm fine," said the baby dragon, "besides I'd rather hang out with you."
"Alright," Spincap replied.
The Cybertronian then sat down on a giant rock at his work table and as he went through some tools Spike took the time to look around. That's when the baby dragon noticed one of the containers full of Energon.
"Hey Spincap isn't this that stuff you drink for food?" Spike asked looking inside.
"Huh? you mean the Energon right?" Spincap answered.
"Yeah, I mean if you drink the stuff then why do these look like crystals?" Spike asked.
"Oh, that's just its solidified form, makes it easier to store," Spincap said.
"Do you think I can try one?" Spike asked.
"What? You eating an Energon crystal?" Spincap said as he turned to the baby dragon.
"I mean if it's O.K with you," said Spike.
"Well it's just I never heard of an organic consuming Energon before," Spincap replied, "I wouldn't know how it'll affect you."
"I eat crystals all the time, I don't see how will Energon be any different?" said Spike.
"...I guess you can try a piece," Spincap said.
"Cool!" said Spike as he grabbed a small Energon crystal.
Spike inspected the crystal in his claw and gave it a quick sniff and after a moment's pause bit into the crystal and then after chewing it he took a second one finishing it.
*crunch*crunch* "Hmm," *crunch* "It tastes kind of funny," *Gulp* "I'm not sure I like-"
Spike's pupils instantly shrank into tiny dots, then they widen far bigger than usual.
"Uh Spike?... are you o.k.?" Spincap asked noticing that Spike was starting to shake.
"WWWWOOOOOOOOWWWWHHHOOOOOOOOO!!!!"
Spincap was stunned as he watched Spike jump all over the place faster than it would seem possible.
"AWESOMEAWESOMEIFEELAWESOMEICANDOANYTHING!!!!" he yelled as he ran right passed Spincap and was out of the cave.
"SPIKE! SPIKE!" Spincap yelled as he ran after him.
Spincap stopped as soon as he was at the cave entrance but the baby dragon was already far from sight with only a single trail of dust in the air leading straight back to Ponyville.
"Oh scrap," he said.
Twilight was alone inside of the library writing down notes on a piece of paper and then suddenly the front door bust opened. The force causing not only all of Twilight's notes to fly everywhere but also many of the booked were knocked to the floor from their shelves.
"WHAT THE!?" Twilight yelled then she noticed that it was Spike that cause the sudden bust.
"SPIKE!? What are you- " Twilight was not able to finished her statement as the baby dragon started to reek havoc inside.
"TWILIGHTYOUWONTBELEIVEHOWAWESOMEENERGONISIFEELAMAZINGLIKEICANDOANYTHING!!!"
"What!? Spike I can't understand a word your-" *crash* "SPIKE!! What is wrong with you!? will you just stop!" yelled Twilight.
But her commands were ignored and she struggled to subdue the purple dragon as he ran and jumped all over the library all the while cheering with excitement as he continued to knock over the books and furniture.

Sorry for the long wait for such a short chapter, I've been busy with work, school and general laziness. I will try to upload the next chapter as soon as possible.So far I've been liking the interactions between Spike and Spincap so I'm going to try putting more of them whenever I get the chance. I'm also trying to find a new proof reader so if anyone knows someone or would like to volunteer that would be awesome.

Fluttershy had just finished laying out food for all the animals in her care when she noticed that they haven't come out to eat. This is so strange, where could they all be? she thought, then from nowhere she felt the ground shake beneath her hooves. With a squeak she fell to the ground and covered her eyes. It wasn't until the ground stopped shaking when she open her eyes to look around the area. Fluttershy then saw a trail of black smoke coming from outside of Ponyville.
"Oh no, not another dragon," said Fluttershy trembling in fear.
Meanwhile in town Applejack had left the apple stand in Big Mac's care and was galloping as fast as she could to Golden Oaks Library. She knew there was trouble as soon as she saw the smoke after the earthquake and she also knew that Twilight would be the one with the solution. As she ran she suddenly saw something pink from the corner of her eye.
"Hey Applejack, why are you in such a rush?" asked Pinkie Pie.
The pink mare was running backwards and now she was moving at the same speed as Applejack.
"Pinkie, did you not feel that earthquake or see the smoke just now?!" said Applejack.
"Wait there was an earthquake?" said Pinkie Pie, "so that wasn't just me then?, huh, I thought I sensed a doozy coming."
"What? how could... never mind, we gotta find Twilight, whatever's going down she'll know what to do," said Applejack.
The two mares continued to galloping and when they reached the library they saw that both Rarity and Fluttershy had just arrived.
"Ah'm a guess'n you two felt it too right?" asked Applejack.
"Dear, you have no idea what kind of mess my shop is in" said Rarity with a sigh.
"Wow and you just left it like that?" asked Applejack.
"Well Applejack, I would think the fate of Ponyville take first priority than a... messy...shop" said Rarity as she struggled to say the last two words.
"Glad we agree on something then and speak'n of the fate of Ponyville" said Applejack.
Applejack tried to open the door to library and discovered that it was locked.
"What the? Why is this dang door locked? The library should be open now," said Applejack.
"Maybe she's still asleep" said Fluttershy softly.
"That can't be it's not like Twilight to sleep in at all" said Rarity.
"That's right Twilight usually opens the library really, really early" said Pinkie Pie.
KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!
"TWILIGHT!, ARE YOU IN THERE?" yelled Applejack, "ITS US YOUR FRIENDS, THE TOWN'S IN TROUBLE AGAIN. WE KINDA NEED YOUR HELP WITH THESE KINDA THINGS!"
KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!
"HELLO? TWI YOU IN THERE!?" yelled Applejack.
After a moment's pause the door could be heard unlocking and when it opened the four mares saw that it was a sleepy Spike who had opened the door.
"Seriously do you know what time it is?" said Spike rubbing his eyes.
"Please tell me you didn't sleep through that earthquake?" asked Applejack.
"Huh... what earthquake?" asked Spike.
Applejack face hoofed he sleeps through an earthquake and yet me knocking the door is what wakes him up she thought.
"Anyway Spike, is Twilight here?!" said Applejack.
"Uh no," said Spike.
"No?" said the four mares in unison.
"Please Spike you have to tell us where Twilight is it's really important" said Rarity.
As soon as Rarity spoke Spike became fully awake and his eyes became fixed solely on the white mare.
"OH right! Twilight, yeah she went out to fix some volcano nearby" said Spike.
"VOLCANO!" again the four said unison.
"Yeah she left a while ago with Rainbow Dash," said Spike.
"Wait Rainbow Dash is with her too?" said Applejack.
"She said things would faster if she came along, hold on I think she left a note somewhere," said Spike.
The four mares finally entered the library as the baby dragon went to find the note.
"FOUND IT!" yelled Spike.
He then walked towards the mares with a piece paper in his hand.
"Here you go Rarity," he said holding up the note in a knightly manner.
"Thank you Spike," said Rarity.
"Sure Rarity, anything for you," he said with a goofy grin.
The four mares huddled together to read the note that Twilight had left for them.
If you are reading this then you probably know by now that Ponyville is in danger. According to Princess Celestia one of the nearby mountains is due to erupt any day now. Fortunately the Princess sent me instructions to make a potion that will keep the volcano from erupting. Since this isn't a high level volcano the potion should work fine and since I already finished the potion last night I figured I can handle this one myself. So please don't worry about me I'll be fine, I'm also bringing Rainbow Dash along with me. I figure with her help we'll get done and back a lot sooner.

There was a momentary silences when the four mares finished reading the letter.
"That's it?" asked Applejack, "A'h can't believe they just went off without the rest of us?"
"We all read it Applejack" said Rarity, "apparently Twilight and Rainbow Dash can handle it just fine. Now if you'll excuse me I have a shop that desperately need fixing."
As soon as Rarity finished speaking she hurried out the door to return to her shop.
"Rarity wait! I can help you!" shouted Spike as he ran off after her.
"If it's ok, I really should go back home and check up on the animals," said Fluttershy.
"And I have another Ponyville is saved party to get ready for when Twilight and Rainbow Dash get back" said Pinkie Pie.
"Fine a'h guess we're not needed after all then" said Applejack.
The remaining three left the library and went their separate ways and as Applejack hurried back to the market to help Big Mac, she couldn't help but feel that there was something else was going to happen.
Twilight and Rainbow Dash had left early and after a while of traveling they had finally reached the base of the smoking mountain.
"Alright we made it," said Twilight.
"About time! you know we could have been done faster if you just let me take that potion and dump in myself," complained Rainbow Dash.
"How many time do I have to explain it to you?" replied Twilight, "This potion has to be done just right."
"Yeah right, I bet you just want to be the one that drops the potion in there so you can please the Princess," said Rainbow Dash with a smirk.
"WHAT!? that's... that's ridiculous, all that matters is the safety of Ponyville" said Twilight who was blushing.
"Oh yeah? Then why didn't we bring the others along to help?" asked Rainbow Dash.
"Because this mission is an easy one and I didn't want to take eveypony out of their busy schedules," replied Twilight.
"Whatever, so what's next?" Asked Rainbow.
"Well it'll take hours to climb up this mountain and the top is beyond my ability to teleport, so I'm going to need you carry me and we'll fly to the top" answered Twilight.
"You got it," said Rainbow as she grabbed her friend.
"NOT TOO FAST!" said Twilight.
*sigh* "fine" said Rainbow.
With a flap of Rainbow Dash's wings the two were up in the air and after a few minutes they were at the top of the mountain.
*cough, cough* "Wow this is a lot of smoke," said Rainbow Dash as she placed Twilight down.
*cough, cough* "Well it is a volcano *cough*" said Twilight.
The two mares walked to the edge of the hole from where the smoked was coming from. The two could feel the heat radiating from below and when they looked down the pit they saw the red glow of the magma just waiting come out. Twilight used her magic to carefully removed a glass bottle from her saddle bag. The bottle had a round base, it's neck was a thin cylinder with a cork in the mouth and the liquid inside was a dark blue. According to Princess Celestia's instructions all Twilight had to do was pour down the liquid into the mouth of the volcano. The Liquid reacts to heat and as soon as it makes contact with the magma it would instantly start cooling down the volcano until it was no longer active. As Twilight calculated how long it would take for the potion to reach the bottom Rainbow Dash was beginning to get impatient.
"Would you just drop the potion already!" yelled Rainbow Dash.
"AAAHHH!" yelled Twilight breaking her out of her concentration causing her to drop the bottle.
The two watched as the bottle disappeared down the pit. Then Twilight turned her head to glare at Rainbow Dash.
"That didn't do anything, what a jip!" said Rainbow Dash.
Then suddenly the entire mountain began to shake again but this time it was more powerful than the one earlier.
At the base of the volcano the earthquake caused the mountain wall to break apart exposing an ancient tunnel that was buried long ago. At the very end of the tunnel was a cave that contained a massive metal object. Inside the object was a an monitor and as the earthquake ended the monitor screen began to flicker. Then after a few seconds the monitor and lights were fully activated. From the monitor station a small satellite was ejected and as it floated away the hatch of the pod automatically opened.
"EXPLORE... EXPLORE" said the satellite as it exited the pod.
Meanwhile
After spending so much time cleaning, Rarity finally finished putting her store back to order. She had just sent Spike back to the library and was finally going to go back to work herself. Then out of nowhere another more powerful earthquake hit, scaring the white unicorn. After a few seconds of shaking the earthquake had stopped and when Rarity opened her eyes her jaw dropped and her eye began to twitch at the sight of the huge mess in her store.
The earthquake had ended and at the top of the mountain Twilight and Rainbow Dash had their forelegs wrapped around each other trembling in fear. All was clear the volcano was no longer emitting heat or smoke. Then as soon as Rainbow Dash realized that the volcano had stopped shaking she quickly pulled away from Twilight.
"Well... that was something," said an embarrassed Rainbow Dash.
"And it looks like it worked there's no heat, no smoke, the volcano is no longer active. YES! Ponyville is safe, wait till everypony hears the good news," cheered Twilight.
"Yeah well, we're also gonna tell them that I wasn't scared at all" said Rainbow Dash, "right?"
"Whatever you say Rainbow, lets go home" said Twilight with a smile.
Rainbow Dash then grabbed hold of Twilight as the two began to fly back down the mountain.
