(Nazi) German Influence
Returning home
Karl Bauer had just taken part in "invasion of Austria" and was returing home for a well earned vacation. While walking down the street, Karl noticed that Berlin hadn't chance a bit, everything looked orderly and clean.
Also, everywhere you looked, you would see the glorious and mystical flag and symbol of German Reich what because of darkness looked even more mysterious and menacing in a good way.
Unfortunately, dark streets were lifeless with only few cars and Wehrmacht Opels illuminating them occasionally with strong headlights typical to cars. He was close to his apartment, and would have reached it about fifteen minutes ago, but he was taking his time, savoring the sights and sounds of Berlin.
After another fifteen minutes, he had finally reached his home.
While looking at the house, Karl decided his cource of actions.
"Clothes off, and then some sleep, yes that sounds perfect" muttered Karl while opening door to his bedroom.
He entered the bedroom, and placed his rucksack into the large closet. Then Karl removed his uniform and other clothes, and after Karl had done this, he had only white underwear on him.
Weariness started to affect Karl and decided to jump into his bed right away, and the last thing he saw before eyelids closed allowing him to enter the dream world was picture of Reich's dear führer.
Karl usually dreamed about something related to military, or Reich or something related to party like meeting and shaking hands with the Führer. But this scene that was opening in his eyes was just bizarre.
He found himself in a middle of an grass field, with trees being upside down, pink clouds, flying pigs with wings and other wierd things you can't even describe.
Its no wonder that Karl's first three words were: "What. The. Hell?"
"What in the name of god is this scene?" Karl asked himself. "I don't want to be in here, this... place is disturbing"
After saying that, he tried to change what he dreamed of, but nothing happened.
"Ugh, I'll guess I should start exploring this place, but where should I go first?" He muttered much to his frustration.
And like saying the magic word, a yellow brick road appeared beneath him, and second later a sing with text "North" and pointed forward from Karl.
"I hate this" were Karl's final words before he started to walk by road, secretly curious where it would lead but at the same time hating this, hoping to wake up from this horrible nightmare of an loyal party member.
Road seemed to be endless, but after a while, Karl saw something at the distance. A some sort of colorful box in the middle of the road. This raised his momentarily-dead-but-now-alive curiosity and decided to find what's inside of that box.
Karl paced himself and was now running towards the mystery box. Soon he got to the box and found out that it was a birthday present.
He wrapped the paper and under the wrappings was hidden a simple cardboard box. He slowly opened it.
Inside of the box was..... a rubber duck.
Karl stretched out his hand and grabbed the duck. He raised the duck to his eyelevel and silently observed it.
Karl didn't like to repeat himself, but this situation required it. "What. The. Hell." He slowly stated, again.
"Who the hell puts an rubber duck inside some box and leaves it in the middle of this god damn brick road?"
Had he died and this is his eternal punisment for not going to church every sunday? This idea of him being dead began to riddle Karl, raising fear, irritate and anger at the same time.
He glanced at the duck and throwed it with full force, hitting an tree with it. After doing so, he closed his eyes and becan to collect his thoughts and calm down.
But his attempts were futile, someone was laughing at the distance. Karl opened his eyes only to notice perhaps the most bizarre thing in this world so far, a creature who looked like mad scientist's experiment. It was made of different body parts and was pointing at the Karl, laughing while doing so.
Karl started to walk towards the creature, and soon he heard:
"Ho ho ho ho ho, you should've seen the look on your face, it was absolutely HILARIOUS!" Laughed the creature.
Karl didn't understood what the creature spoke of, but he did knew that it was speaking english. Fact that he couldn't understand it only started to irritate Karl, resulting him swearing at the creature. But his insults only made creature laugh even more hysterical, it didn't care about the Karl or his swears, what only acted like wood in a fire.
"Ho ho ho, I knew I picked the right one! Oh yes, the upcoming chaos. I can't wait for it!" said the creature, being obliviously extrimely excited. Creature continued,
"This will be so hilarious, I can't wait to see expression on the Celestia's face when my plan gets in motion, ho ho ho!"
Then the creature waved at the Karl and jumped into to the air like ballerina. In mid air, creature disappeared with bright flash.
This annoying creature left Karl with annoyment and questions, one of them being what have I done to deserve this and question when is he going to wake up from this nightmare.
Karl raised from his bed, enjoying the fact that it was finally over. He now looked at the clock, according to it was twelve already. Karl went to his closet and donned clothing. A white shirt and black trousers would be the attire of this day.
He proceeded to the kitchen and made himself breakfast. Eggs and some porridge.
After his meal, he decided to visit a newspaper stand to purchase Vőlkischer Beobachter and return home.
He he put his shoes on and opened the door, only to notice the drastic chance of scenery.
