Blue fighter jets with yellow lines and bolts on them sat at the ready as the sun rose across the horizon, men wearing brightly coloured vests and helmets rush from plane to plane, prepping them for they're exercises. A large truck pulled up with a canvas top over the back of it, the men rushed to it and began carrying machine guns to the planes, trolleys loaded with white and red missiles were pushed from plane to plane , each one receiving 10 missiles and 2 machine guns.
James Petty zipped up the front of his blue flight suit, and grabbed his helmet from the top of his locker,it as well was painted blue with yellow lines and bolts on it, just like they're planes, except for the insignia and call name hawkeye scribbled onto the sides and front, he had brown hair which was neatly combed, he set the helmet down on the bench and turned towards the new guy...
Billy had just been welcomed into the blue angels, he was an excellent pilot, even if he was only 19, he was the best out of his squadron, he had only served 2 tours since he enlisted out of high school, he was around 5 1/2 feet tall, and skinny, he had very light red hair... it was hard to tell...he noticed he was being watched by James, he tilted his head to talk to James, dragging his dog tags with him.
"What do you want hawkeye..." Billy said
"It's what you want" James replied quickly
"What the hell is that spose to mean?"
"It's what you want.... What do you want billy..."
"..."
"You can tell me..."
"Hawkeye I swear to god if your drunk again I'm getting the MP to haul your ass outta here"
"Not this time, although I could go for a drink about now..."
"Do you always torchere all your new recruits?"
"Yep that's how we break em in..."
"That would explain why you've gone through 10 in the last 3 months..."
"Nah you guys just don't understand simple conversation... Don't be so alien... Shhesh your like all these kids with eye phones, just zone out no simple conversation..."
Billy rolled his eyes, hawkeye James was going to rant yet again about kids these days... Billy had only been here for 2 weeks and he already disliked hawkeye like everyone else on the base...
Billy zipped up his flight suit and grabbed his helmet, just like hawkeyes except... The call name, d-caf, billy was known for his love of de cafs, he was mocked for it by hawkeye...
Billy stepped out of the locker rooms and onto the air strip, they hadn't fully prepped the planes yet but they were very close, billy was soon met by Sarah Palmer, the commanding officer of the team, she had black hair, she was taller then him by about half an inch, he still found her intimidating though... Her call name was Cindy, she had received it on her very first day of training when she dumped her fuel all over the air strip and on air crew... Hawkeye never let her live this down which is why he's still a corporal...
"Hawkeye give you any trouble today billy?"
"Not really, I'm getting to that point where all the noise I hear from him becomes static chatter..."
Sarah laughed, most officers never laughed around lower ranks... Ruins they're reputation, except most everybody fears Sarah, she's been known to bite off a few heads...
"Let's get to our planes looks like flight crews are done..."
"Why are they armed?"
"Today's training exercise is air combat, we're against all the other teams on base..."
"I see" billy said, quickly walking towards his jet...
Billy was secure into his jet, they were waiting for hawkeye... As usual... After several more minutes of this Sarah ordered air control to send someone to tare him out of the lockers....
5 minutes later they find him... He was in the bar...
"Cindy, should we get someone to uh take hawkeyes place he's kinda drunk..." Billy said
"Bartender made sure he only had 2..." Sarah said over the coms between the planes
"THAT LIAR.... He said I drank 10..." Hawkeye said, a slight bit of sadness in his voice
"We'll if you throw up your the one who put your life at risk..." Sarah replied getting annoyed by hawkeye
"Cut the chatter and get into position infinity" said the control tower operator Dave
The planes rolled into position and roared down the run way, one after another, until they're all airborne...
"Best we get away from base fast infinity these guys like to shoot you down while still in this air space..." Sarah suggested
"Roger" billy said flipping some switches
"Charlie Oscar" hawkeye shouted... A large tone of drunkness in his voice
The planes soared over the wood lands, spanning for miles on end, they preformed some air acrobatics while in wait for some sucker to walk into they're trap....
"Boogie at your six hawkeye" d-caf said over the radio
James peeled off from the formation and went after the enemy blue angel, he came up behind the other jet and let out bursts from the twin machine guns, paintballs flew through the air towards this other plane pelting it in colours...
"This is Roland George of chrome team... Confirmed kill hawkeye, nice shooting" a voice said over the radio
The other plane turned and shot off towards the run way
"I thought I saw them loading in real bullets?" Billy questioned over the radio
"Don't get your self Wrong kid, we've got live ammo onboard, the government just doesn't like us to damage they're nice shiny planes..." Hawkeye replied
They soared off further into the forest, until...
Bang bang bang
"Jesus, I've been hit guys!!" Sarah said over the radio
"By whom?"
"I don't know, it sounds like live ammo so someone's to bring me down--"
Several more loud shots let loose, these were then followed by more shots... From other guns..
Sparks and crackles began to come from Sarah's console, then a thick smoke filled the air
"Mayday mayday" she shouted over the radio as her wing caught fire
Hawkeyes plane was the next to get hit severely the bullet puncturing the underbelly and fuel tank of the plane... Flames erupted from the blue machine, d cafs came next, his engine was shot clean through, a loud explosion sounded the end of his flying session...
"We're going to have to put them down in the trees..." Sarah said her plane ready to burst to pieces any second
"That's a dandy idea darling but where" James replied the flames beginning to lick the sides of his glass canopy
"There, theres a clearing in trees, best option we got.."
Sarah's plane began to violently shake , it began a downward spiral and its rapid decent was slowed by Sarah's training,
Hawkeye and d caf soon followed, they were all plummeting to the ground at fast rates, in unison...
"We had a good run..." Hawkeye said 100 feet above the earth....
They're life's flashed before they're lives... Everything they hadn't accomplished in it yet and everything they had... The nose of Sarah's plane smashed into the ground first but her whole plane disappeared, billy noticed this before his plane hit the ground... He blacked out apon contact...
The planes were sent flying through a spinning whorl of different colours and came through the other end landing perfectly flat on the ground, all damage from before gone... Magically....
Sarah woke up, her head was pounding her mind was in a daze, she took of her homey and popped open the canopy above her... Something was wrong... Defiantly wrong... She didn't have hands any more... She had hooves? Her skin was replaced by khaki coloured fur she still had her brown hair... Then she looked at her face...
S-s-she was a horse!!?!!?!?????!!??!
She screamed loudly and fainted
Sarah Palmer opened her eyes, awoken bye a loud ruckus coming from the dense forest around her, she brought her head up from its current position of against the side of the cockpit. The only thing she remembered was crashing and a warp of colors, she chuckled to herself 'Palmer your going absolutely insane, to many tours overseas' she thought to herself. She went to pull up her visor on her helmet so she could get a better look at her surroundings, as she flipped it up she looked around the forest around her was very lush and green in plants and colours her plane was upright on its landing gears completely intact. "Maybe i'm not going crazy.." she said aloud
"Son of a bitch!!" came a voice from the foliage to her right, she unbuckled herself from her seat and put her hand on the gun at her hip.
"Who goes there?" She asked to the unseen voice.
"Is that you darling?" A familiar voice of hawkeye responded
Palmer sighed as she sat back into her seat.
"Any idea what the hell happened James?"
"Not a clue, but the planes are still intact... " James said stepping out of the bushes, revealing james, he had unzipped the front of his flight suit
"Your senior officer here... What next..." He stated
"I think we should try and contact base, or maybe get our current location? Also... Where's billy" she asked getting cut off by screaming and gun shots
"Does that answer your question?" Hawkeye said in a smart ass tone
Palmer stood up in her plane and reached behind her seat, she had an emergency survival pack on board, all of the planes usually did encase they crashed and had to survive until someone came to save them, inside was some food clothes med kit ammo multi tool, and of course a gun, she tore the pack open and grabbed her gun, loading in a clip and throwing her helmet into the little storage area, she got up and out of her plane. She jumped from the plane to the ground, and ran out to find billy.
She came into another small clearing, much like the one her plane was in she spotted hawkeye grabbing his gun and running towards her, following the sounds that came from billy they found him and his plane, with a bunch of small chicken like animals with lizard tails hoping around it, billy was on the wing of the plane taking shots at the little demons, missing nearly the entire time though...
"Help!!!" Billy screamed at the top of his lungs, the creatures had gotten up onto the wing of the plane, billy jumped and hid in the cockpit, trying to avoid the creatures.
"Let's roll hawkeye!" Sarah said jumping out of the brush, she shot at the birds killing about 5 of them easily, hawkeye jumped onto the plane and kicked the birds off, sometimes using the butt of his gun, Sarah took pot shots at them as they fell. Soon the area was littered in deceased birds.
"James..." Sarah said
"Yeah..."
"I don't think we're in America any more... Let alone earth..."
"Then where are we?" Billy asked confused
"I-I don't know... But we should still try to contact base... Maybe... Someone will come for us?" She said, trying to stay hopeful
They spent the next 2 hours trying to set up communications and camp, hawkeye was sitting near the fire they set up at Sarah's plane, he was playing on his little ukulele he snuck into his survival bag, he was singing elvis presley's blue suede shoes, they all sat gathered around singing along doing things to stay productive... But a loud snap of a tree branch in the nearby foliage sounded the end of the song, they each went for they're guns, and waited for what would come out of the bushes...
2 hours earlier 6:00 pm 1800 hours
Twilight sparkle was sitting at sugar cube corner having dinner with the girls and spike, when spikes belching presented a letter from celestia.
"Ooooh a letter from her majesty, what's it say twilight?" Rairity suggested
"Yeah what's it say, maybe she's throwing a PARTY!!" Pinkie pie shouted with enthusiasm
"I highly doubt it sugar cube..." Apple jack said taking a swig of the cider in her glass
"M-maybe we should just let twilight read it... If that's okay with you twilight..." Fluttershy said in a soft tone
"Read it already!!!" Rainbow dash said annoyed at how long it was taking
"Hmmm... Something's wrong about this... Celestia says that something just entered the world there was a large flare of magic in equestria... It landed somewhere in the... Everfree forest... She says she wants us to check it out... Just encase we should bring the elements of harmony... That's all it states..." Twilight said rolling up the scroll neatlyand storing it in her saddle bags
"Well what in tarnations are we waiting for, lets go investigate, c'mon girls" apple jack announced standing up from the table.
"But I just got my hooves done, do I have to walk..." Rarity complained
"Afraid so rarity, but we need to see what this is, it could be dangerous..." Twilight replied
"Humph fine..." Rarity said defeated
"Spike send a letter to celestia that were on our way." Twilight said galloping out the door
The trip to the everfree was quick, they began searching instantly, rainbow dash and fluttershy watched from the skies, rarity and twilight used they're magic to search twilight flew here and there though, and apple jack and pinkie walked... Pinkie pie was the first to spot the smoke, coming from a fire.
"That's probably it... Lets go girls" twilight said taking lead as they ran down the path and into the brush...
They walked quietly as they got up closer to it, wanting not to surprise what ever it was... As they got within ear shot of the creature they heard voices... Singing to be precise, but it was an unknown song... Finally they could see just barely what it was, they saw a big blue structure with yellow stripes and shapes running around it, and three creatures around a fire in strange clothes, they walked closer a bit more, but all of a sudden, fluttershy stepped on a branch, scaring her she let out a little scream in freight, but it was quickly muffled by apple jack, they peered through the bushes, but the three creatures had disappeared 3 clicks came from the surrounding area and then...
"Who goes there!!!" A female voice barked
"Identify your selves" said another that they saw hiding behind a tree stump, it had light red hair and a light orange coat (billy)
"We are not afraid to defend ourselves" said another voice coming from somewhere underneath the blue structure...
"We don't intend to harm you, we're friendly..." Twilight said stepping foreword revealing herself
"Are you alone?" Questioned the female voice
"No, c'mon girls show yourselves..." Twilight responded
5 other ponies stepped out into the light of the dying sun and fire, differing in colours...
"We've shown ourselves now show your selves!" Twilight demanded,billy was the first to step out he still had his rifle pointed at them, hawkeye followed, rolling out from underneath the plane, Palmer was the last to show herself, climbing out from the cockpit of the plane...
"We're flight team infinity we-" Sarah said before getting cut of by rainbow dash
"oh my gosh Your wonder bolts!!!! but your not ponies..." She yelled excitedly
"Uh no... We're Humans, from flight team infinity, we're blue angels, i'm officer Sarah Palmer, this is corporal James petty, and private billy reid, were lost and don't know where in gods name we are..." Sarah said standing proudly
"Where are you from?" Twilight asked
"United states of America, except hawkeye, he's Canadian..." Palmer replied
"United what?"
"Better question where are we?" Hawkeye asked
"Why your in equestria..." Pinkie pie answered
"Equestria?" The angels said in unison
"Yup" apple jack stated
"Oh how rude if me, I forgot to introduce ourselves, I'm twilight sparkle, this is applejack, rainbow dash, flutter shy, rarity and rainbow dash..."
"Charmed" hawkeye said in his usual smart ass tone
"Why don't you explain your story at my house, the suns going down and it's going to get pretty dark here really fast..." Twilight asked, hoping she could pry more answers out of them there...
"I wasn't honestly planning on sleeping in the fighters again... So why not, infinity, gather your equipment, were moving out!" She ordered, the other blue angels complied and gathered their supplies from their planes, and were set to move out withn 2 minute...
As they began they're walk to twilight's house, they were asking and answering many questions
"So your a princess..." Palmer asked as they walked together
"Yes I am..." Twilight responded
"So if your not wonderbolts why are you wearing those silly suits?" Rainbow dash asked, watching hawkeye immensely
"They're air pressure suits..." Billy responded
"I say they're an abomination to fashion..." Rarity exclaimed
"Listen, rarity was it, when your flying at altitudes of 10000 feet above the earth it gets a might hard to breath... These weren't at any point meant for fashion they get the job done and that's its only purpose..." Palmer said getting annoyed by rarity a constant whining
"We'll you didn't have to be so rude..."rarity snorted back
"Ya wanna see rude go have a nice chat with the drill instructors back at boot camp..." Hawkeye said
"Whoa 10000 feet dude... That's high!!!"rainbow dash said, awestruck "even for... uh humans? you don't have wings... how do you fly???"
This ended their journey to twilight's house...
Time 8:30 pm 2030 hours
The mane six went to go talk in the living room the moment they entered the library, leaving the blue angels to the kitchen...
"God this is some messed up shit... Unicorns and Pegasus and freaking alicorns!! And they talk!!!! " Sarah said
"I think that purple one is on to us... She asked some very strange questions... I hope she can give us the run down on what the fuck is going on..." Hawkeye said pulling out a little flask full of whiskey
"James I think you should slow down a bit on the drinking... You might run through that flask to quickly..." Billy warned
"And you think I wouldn't put some in my survival bag..." He said giving a stern look to billy
"Gentlemen, keep focused to what's at hand here" Palmer said slamming her fist onto the table.
"You mean hoof?" Hawkeye stated in his smart ass tone he kept cracking jokes about this pony world all day
"You are a funny man hawkeye, I wonder how funny you'd look in a crashed fighter jet..." Palmer shot back
"Court Marshall, I've just been threatened by a C.O.!!!"hawkeye said
"Shut the hell up hawkeye, it may be fun and games to you but we need to stay focused... This is serious..." Billy stated glaring at hawkeye
"Understood commander..."hawkeye said, hanging his head in defeat...
"Did you see that???? The things they were pointing at us? What were they..." Applejack asked
"I-I don't know. They could be highly dangerous though so we need to stay sharp... They may even be changelings..." Twilight said
The room gasped no one liked changelings, they all Knew chrysalis could come back and take over again...
"Girls I-I dont think... They're from our world..." Twilight stated
"W-where are they from then?"flutter shy asked
"Earth... I was there when I went through the portal..." Twilight said
"Do you think sunset shimmer sent them?" Rarity asked
"No, definitely not..."
"What about those things they had with them??? The blue structures?" Rainbow dash asked
"I don't know they referred to them as fighters... Maybe they've come to destroy us??"
During this entire conversation the blue angels eavesdropped through the kitchen door.. They stepped out ending their conversation...
"Curious you are about us hmm?" Sarah asked
"You heard????" Rainbow dash said
"Military tends to do that..." Hawkeye said
"Well then, can you answer our questions?" Twilight asked
"I don't see anything wrong with it..."Palmer replied as she sat down on a sofa in the living room...
