When his father is accidentally dropped into the world of Equestria via a book from an ancient civilization, Daniel Ridge chases after him, only to find himself lost and his father missing. Seeking aid and shelter, he stumbles into Ponyville where he meets the mane six. With their help, Daniel can start his search anew.

But in a distant land a sinister plot is hatching, and soon Daniel will be caught up in a brewing storm that no one can stop. And he may end up being the one thing that can save Equestria - or doom it.
