The Dark Saga

My wings ached, my back hurt, and my mane was full of sweat. I felt like falling and just lying on the warm cracked earth far below. I had been flying all day and now I knew I would be flying some more once I told blackfire what celestia had reported. I sighed and shook my head to wake myself up, the tall volcano like castle of blackfire was in the distance and gave off a ghostly and menacing appearance. The clouds around me are dark and full of ash and smoke from the industrial plants and mines that shoot up like pillars all around the castle. This is the elemental empire, sadly its also what I have to call my home.

I flew faster hoping to get to the castle as fast I could, with the hope of rest, and food in my mind. I slowed my speed down to a gentle glide once I reached the castle gates that shot up with twisted designs carved in them. Two guards with dark grey coats and red armor waited outside, they gave me a disgusted look and opened the door for me. "Thanks." I politely said to the left one who's only reply was a wad of spit that hit the middle of face. I brushed it off and went into the rocky castle.

The castle was full of more guards who all looked as if they were made of rock and sulfur, each had bright red armor covered in iron and crystals. I ignored the sour looks of several of them as I made my way to blackfires throne at the top of the castle. Two more guards stood outside and opened the door without and second glance, I didnt say thank you this time. The throne room was massive the ceiling curved inwards towards a hole in the ceiling that made the top of the castle look like a volcano top. The walls were blood red with black drawings of the various wars that the elemental ponies had taken part in. I walked towards blackfire who was looking out the window. Blackfire wore grey and black armor that covered his entire body except for his red tentacle like mane that was looked like lave oozing through it. He looked over at me and I felt chills go down my spine. His mask was gunmetal and had a T like opening that let no light escape so the inside of the helmet looked like a dark void.

"Well? Thunderwave you have taken some time to return. I do wish that the message you have is an important one." his voice was like a dry wind that filled you with fear. He started walking towards me and I bowed out of fear.

"Um...Celestia....Celestia and Luna say that if you try to attack the crystal empire after sombra is defeated then..." I gulped with sweat running down my face "Then she will stop you....." I looked up expected him to hit me as he had several times before when I returned with messages he didnt like, but he looked away and started to laugh. His laugh was chilling and filled the room

"So Celestia thanks she can stand a chance against me and my army!?! Thunderwave look out this window and tell me what you see." I obediantly walked over and looked out the massive windowless window. Outside was the burnt earth full of jagged hills and sharp rocks. Thousands of guards walked around in formation, and hundreds more were being torn from the rocks and given armor and weapons.

"I....I see thousands of guards and even more guards being made every second." Blackfire stood by me and began to speak in a menacing tone.

"You see thunderwave, my army is never ending. And if Celestia believes she could possibly beat me then she is most unwise." He slowly walked to his throne and sat down. "I want you to tell celestia that all we ask for is peace and I hope that the crystal empire doesnt become a wedge between us." I stood there dumbfounded by this.

"But...but your planning on going to war! So why tell her otherwise?" He began to laugh again.

"Thunderwave you will learn that if she doesnt know my true intentions then she wont be able to fight back as well. Now go with godspeed." I sighed and flew out the window in silence.

I had hoped for rest, but I should have known he wouldnt have let me have that. I flew quickly for a few hours and finally saw the blue sky of equestria and the beautiful green hills. I soaked in the nice warmth of the sun and let the gentle breeze hit me head on. A smile spread across my face. I had always been small, and I had a bright snow like mane and sky colored coat, because of this I never felt like I fit in with the elemental ponies so I was looked down upon. But thanks for my amazing flying skills blackfire made me his messanger. I looked up and saw canterlot in the distance.

I picked up speed knowing celestia would allow me to rest there. About an hour later I made it to the castle and landed outside of it. Two guards in gold armor and with white manes looked down at me and opened the door. I walked through and thanked them getting a smile out of them. Canterlot castle was the polar opposite of blackfires caslte, the building was full of gold, white, and beautiful windows of various events. I saw Celestia talking to Luna and rushed over bowing. The two stopped and looked down at me with serious faces. "I bring word from the elemental empire." Luna and Celestia glanced at each other then looked back down at me

"And? Did he agree not to attack the empire?" asked Celestia in a soft tone.

"He....he says...." I glanced away and saw the beautiful hills and sunshine, in my mind I saw the wasteland it would become if blackfire attacked it. "May I tell you in private?" Luna rolled her eyes

"Just tell us now. We are about to leave so please just tell us."

"Do you trust me?" I stopped bowing and set my eyes on celestia who looked a little confused

"Why wouldnt we? Your the only messanger he has and you look just like a normal pegasi so I cant help but trust you." I took a breath and spoke "He plans on attacking equestria while your out fighting sombra. His army is massive and I cant do anything but warn you."

They gasped and luna began to speak "I knew he wasnt to be trusted! But....but what do we do? We must save the crystal ponies, but..." She sighed and celestia walked to the nearby balcony.

"Thunderwave you must report back to blackfire and tell him that we have left to fight sombra. Then when he begins to attack we will take him down with all of our might." spoke celestia in a calm voice.

"Okay and celestia?" she glanced at me "What is it?" I took a deep breath. "If you beat blackfire may I come to equestria?"

She smiled at me "Of course now hurry or there may not be an equestria for you to move to. I bowed again and took off towards the elemental empire. As I flew I relized I still hadnt got the the chance to rest, I felt even more tired now. Suddenly I felt a sharp pain hit my entire body. I curled up in the air and everything slowed down around me as my eyes rolled into the back of my head. I could see fire and molten rocks springing up from the ground with mares chained to them and on fire. I saw a familiar white mare die before my eyes from blackfire's sword that was being held in the air by nothingness. The next thing I knew I had hit the ground and darkness covered everything.
