Chapters One Last Party: When Laughter Ends
Never Stop Smiling
"We are gathered here to remember a pony who loved to smile." Celestia's Words boomed throughout the castles walls. Next to her was her sister, Luna, and Cadence as well. All of Equestria sat in the halls of the great castle. Among them were the wielders of the Elements of Harmony. Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy. One was missing however, Pinkie Pie, Element of laughter was dead. Her life cut short by a horrible accident that shook her friends to the core. A carriage went off course and pinned Pinkie to Sugarcube Corner's door, breaking her ribs and puncturing her lungs. Dashie saw the whole thing and rushed Pinkie to the hospital, but it was too late. Pinkie Pie died from internal trauma on the way to the hospital. Dash was crushed. Pinkie's friends all hurt; but not as bad as Fluttershy was. When she heard the news she refused to leave her cottage. Her animals have all but left her. Angel was the only one to stay by her side. Now they had to sit through this dreadful day. The sun was bright in the sky, that was a good thing; Pinkie wouldn't want it to rain. Celestia continued to speak.
"Pinkie Pie was not only the bearer of an Element, She was also one of my closest friends. She taught me to always smile in the face of fear and sorrow. Today I find it very hard to do so. Pinkie was always there for anypony who felt sad or unhappy. She will be missed by all of us. Pinkie if you can hear us, please... Find a way to make us smile one more time. Does anypony else want to say something?" From a seat in the front row a tiny voice spoke up. Everypony turned to see a plum colored mare heading towards the podium, a greyish mare followed her. Inkie and Blinkie. Pinkie's sisters stepped up to the podium. Everypony was silent as Inkie spoke.
"H-hi everypony, My name is Inkie, and this is my sister Blinkie. We are Pinkie Pie's sisters. She taught us when we were very young to always smile, and love every moment in life. She was my role model. I wanted to be just like her when I grew up, and I believe I have achieved that. Blinkie and I have been through a lot in our lives, and Pinkie has been there for us through all of it... Pinkie if you can hear me...I love you... We all love you... Goodbye..." Inkie walked away from the podium in tears. Blinkie looked towards the casket that held her sister and smiled a weak smile.
"Goodnight Pinkie, have sweet dreams...I love you..." Blinkie walked down from the podium and held her mourning sister in her hooves. Twilight silently walked up to the podium and looked towards the crowd. A tear falls from her eye as she begins to speak.
"Pinkie Pie was the first pony I met when I came to Ponyville for the first time..." She paused to wipe a tear away from her eye. "She taught me the values of friendship through laughter. Pinkie has always been kind to everypony, unless you broke a Pinkie promise." Stifled laughs are heard from the crowd as Twilight continued. "She was my best friend... She made my day on more then one occasion and she always made me smile. Pinkie wherever you are, I love you and miss you, goodbye." Twilight walks down from the podium, a trail of tears following her every step. Spike comforted her as she sat down. After a minute or two Rarity stood up and walked to the podium.
"Hello, my name is Rarity..." She stopped for a moment and sighed. "Pinkie Pie always loved a good party. She would throw a party for anything good that happened. Whether it be a birthday, or a new pony in town; she would find a way to make it their special day. When I was down in the dumps about my hair one day; I still remember what she did to make me feel better. She jumped in a mud puddle and got her mane all dirty and said 'look Rarity! don't I look dashing?!' I couldn't help but laugh. Pinkie Pie, if you can hear me, You will always be the most cherished memory in my head. Goodbye my friend, goodbye..." Rarity stood down from the podium and wailed as she sat down. Fluttershy placed a hoof on her shoulder and smiled as she walked up to the podium. Fluttershy looked to the crowd and squeaked before she spoke.
"U-Um...I'm Fluttershy... Pinkie was one of my best friends... Um she um- I'm sorry I'm just-- Pinkie I love you so much..." Tears began to fall from her eyes "You were always there for me when I felt sad or alone... I'm going to miss you... Please be safe up there in the big party in the sky; please... Goddbye Pinkie..." Fluttershy ran down from the podium and embraced Rarity in a hug and sobbed into Rarity's chest. Applejack sighed and stood up. As she walked to the podium however she couldn't hold back the tears.
"G-Gosh... Ah'm no good at this sorta thing... But if ah must say something Ah'm gonna say something... Pinkie always had a thing for pranks. Ah remember when she pulled a prank on me... Ah couldn't be mad at her for it of course; but she did kinda paint ma'h apples, though it was kinda funny..." Some laughs are heard in the crowd. "Pinks...Ah miss ya... Ah miss the lighthearted pranks you pull, Ah miss the parties... And ah miss you most of all...Goodbye..." Applejack tips her hat to the crowd and silently sits back down. Dash sighs and calmly walks to the podium,
"my name is Rainbow Dash... But this isn't about me... Its about my dear friend Pinkie Pie. We had some great times together me and her did. Pulling pranks, Eating at Sugarcube--" Dash stopped short and started to cry. "I'M SORRY PINKIE I'M SORRY!! I should of been there for you... I failed you as a friend... I FAILED YOU WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DIE WHY!?" Dash fell to the ground crying as Celestia helped her up and carried her to her seat. Celestia then looked to Luna and nodded. Luna nodded back and walked up to the podium.
"Hello all, we are sorry for your loss... Pinkie was a dear friend of us as well... She taught us many things about fun and laughing, we just wish she didn't have to die... We are heartbroken... we feel so much pain..We..Miss her.." Everything went silent as the Princess of the night stepped down from the podium and walked towards the castle. After a while the funeral ended and everypony went back home. Celestia stopped Twilight as her and her friends were leaving.
"Twilight...uh..I am deeply sorry for your loss..." Celestia said to her student. Twilight sighed.
"I-It is fine your Majesty, although the healing will take some time... especially for Dashie and Fluttershy..." Twilight said as a tear fell from her eye. Celestia placed a wing around Twilight and smiled.
"I am here for you if you ever need somepony to talk to Twilight... I have a task for you..." Celestia hands Twilight a book. Twilight gave Celestia a quizzical look as she read the cover. Pinkie's Secret Journal Twilight's eyes widened.
"Ce-Celestia this is..." Celestia cut her off.
"Yes..Pinkie's Journal... I need you and your friends to read it... Its simply so you can think of happier times. Twilight smiled.
"Okay Princess..I will do my best to make my friends sorrow disappear..."

Journal Entry One: The Rock Farm
Twilight rushed to the party that was being thrown for Pinkie Pie's memory. The journal was safely secured in her saddlebag. Twilight rushed inside and went to where her friends were.
"Twilight nice of you to join us..." Dash said with a hint of rudeness. Twilight ignored her for she knew the reason for the rudeness. Fluttershy noticed something about Twilight.
"Um...Twilight.. You seem a bit flustered, is something wrong?" Fluttershy asked with concern. Twilight sighed and pulled out the Journal that Celestia gave her.. Her friends gasped.
"Uh.. Sugarcube...Mind tellin us what in the hay your doing with Pinkie's Journal?" Applejack said with a hint of fear. Dash looked at Twilight with a glare. Twilight gulped a mouthful of air and began to talk.
"C-Celestia asked us to read it to sooth our mourning, I agreed to it.." Dashie got in Twi's face.
"Of COURSE you did!! Celestia's pet! What if Pinkie don't--" Before she could finish Fluttershy glared at Dash, something Shy has never one before.
"Well Dash I think its a great idea. Honestly Pinkie would want us to be happy..." Shy said with a shaky voice. Dashie looked at Shy and frowned. Then she sighed.
"Okay... Fine I'll read the damn journal with you girls..." Everypony smiled for the first time all day. Twilight opened the book and began to read:
JOURNAL ENTRY 1:
It's no fun where I am. This place is like a prison to me, although my family is the best family I could ever ask for, the work is less then fun. Everyday we have to move rocks from one side of the farm, to the other. Those rocks are not light either, everyone of the rocks is about 50 to 60 pounds each. The food is even worse. My father barley makes enough to get by, and my mother has been injured for a long time thanks to a rock falling on her back. Sometimes i really wish that something bright and cheery would happen here, so this feeling of dread would lift from me... As I sleep in the night all I hear is screaming. I wonder why these screams haunt my dreams. Maybe it's the lack of fun and sunshine here, maybe, just maybe its my sanity finally breaking like a twig. You know for a little filly, I have a dark mind. Do you blame me? My life isn't very cheery nor will it ever be. Twilight sat the Journal down and shuddered.
"Wow..." Fluttershy said as she covered her mouth. Dash stood there shocked.
"I never thought Pinks would ever have a dark thought in her..." She said. Twilight simply picked the journal up and continued to read.
Darkness aside, my family is the only reason I care to stay here. Inkie and Blinkie try their darnest to help me, but to no avail. As I said before, I may never smile...Today has been quite eventful though. We finally finished todays work. I gotta say It killed me. I have never been so exhausted in my life... I am calling it a night... JOURNAL ENTRY END Twilight sat the journal down and spoke up.
"By Celestia's mane... That was very dark.... Oh my dear Faust..." Twilight placed her head in her hooves and began to cry. Fluttershy held Twilight in her hooves and let her cry on her shoulder.
"It's okay Twi, like she said in the entry, her life back then wasn't very fun..." Shy said through some tears.
"Lets read on..." Twi simply said as she opened the journal to the next entry. .

Journal Entry 2: A Rainbow in my Eyes
JOURNAL ENTRY 2:
Good morning Journal... Why did I say good morning to a journal? Weird, oh well. Today was a little harder. My mama tried to help, only to get hurt again. I love her to death; but I swear to Celestia shes dense. After a very gross lunch we continued our work. Poor Blinkie got hurt... Not surprising as she always seems to find a way to get herself hurt all the time. Father will be furious and possibly ground her. He don't mean to be harsh, but ever since he hurt his leg hes been quite mean as of late. Enough about him though. I have work to do...
Twilight sat the journal down once again and took a breath. Applejack looked to her and frowned. "Ah reckon Pinks wanted to hide this from us when she was alive... But ah don't understand why?" Applejack said shaking her head. "We all could of helped her..." She added with a tear. Dash scoffed and glared at AJ.
"It was Pinkie's journal damn it! If she wanted to talk about it she would've!!" Dash snapped at AJ. AJ frowned. Twilight stood up and yelled.
"EEENOUGH!! IS THIS WHAT PINKIE WOULD WANT?! ALL THIS FIGHTING AND FUCKING BICKERING?!" Twilight covered her mouth. Everypony in the room was silent. Dash looked at Twilight and teared up.
"T-Twi... I-I- I am sorry I shouldn't of snapped like that. It's just that I miss her is all.. I-I-" Fluttershy put a hoof on Dash's shoulder and smiled.
"We all forgive you Dash..." Shy said with a smile on her face. Dash began to cry a bit.
"Twi, I think we should take a break for a bit... S-so no more outbursts happen..." Fluttershy said meekly. Twilight looked at her and before she could speak, Rarity chimed in.
"I for one agree with Fluttershy, we should take a small break." She said wiping a tear from her eye. Twilight sighed and nodded.
"Okay... Lets go get something to eat... I'm famished." Twilight said as she placed the diary down, and went with her friends to the closest restaurant. The five friends sat at a table and silently ate. Rainbow Dash spoke up.
"Okay, I think I should continue reading it, if that's okay with all of you..." She said as she chewed on some food. Twilight looked up and smiled.
"If you want to go ahead." Twilight said with a shrug. "Celestia didn't really say WHO had to read it." Everypony around the table nodded in agreement.
"By all means sugarcube... as long as I get to read the next one..." Applejack said. Twilight smiled. An idea popped into her head.
"Hey! How about we take turns reading entries!" Twilight said. Everyone nodded and looked at the time.
"We should probably get back now." Twilight said. She placed a few bits on the table, and left for the library; her friends not far behind her. A while later they arrived back to the library. Twilight handed Dash the journal and she began to read it.
OH.MY.GOODNESS!! I saw the most amazing thing today! I was working the fields near the east side of the farm, and suddenly a loud explosion was heard. I turned to see a BEAUTIFUL rainbow trailing across the sky! It was the most beautiful and magical thing I have seen in the many sad years I have been here. I have this strange, and funny feeling inside of me. Is it, happiness? No, no... I feel like, laughing... HA I feel like laughing my worries and sorrow away. This is a sign that I can do more with my life than move rocks around all day. Oh no, I have a plan, a BIG plan... Tonight I will throw the first party here ever. Hopefully My family will love it. Dash let a tear fall from her face as she stopped for a moment to take a breath. She fell to the floor and wept softly.
"Dear Celestia, She wrote about that... She wrote that as a memory to keep forever..." Dash said through her tears. Fluttershy sat next to her mourning friend and hugged her.
"Pl-please don't cry Dashie... Pinkie wouldn't want you to be sad... Please stay strong for--" Dash stopped Fluttershy short.
"I-I know Shy, I know it's just that, This memory means a lot to me..." Dash said still crying. Twilight placed a hoof on Dash's back and smiled a weak and sad smile.
"I-If you want Dash, I'll take over..." Twilight said with a sad tone. Dash simply nodded, and Twilight took the journal and continued to read the last part of the entry.
The party was a blast! I never knew I was so good at throwing parties! Or making ponies smile! Oh that reminds me! I got my cutie mark! My mama and papa are sooo proud of me! My sisters are also very happy for me. Now I can help them get theirs!! OH that would be sooo awesome!! I have to say today has been the happiest day in my life!! I have to thank that rainbow in the sky for this very awesome day!!! Lets hope everyday can be happy from now on! JOURNAL ENTRY END Twilight put the book down and a tear fell from her eye.
"That was really heartwarming... I am glad that it was..." Twilight said with a smile on her face. Everypony in the room nodded. Twilight sat the journal down and sat back in her chair.
"Who wants to read the next entry?" Twilight said as she looked around. Rarity raised her hoof.
"I'll do it Twilight." She said . Twilight nodded and handed the journal to Rarity and Rarity began to read the next entry.

Being an early riser, Twilight woke her friends from their slumber to continue the reading of the journal. When everyone was awake, they all sat down at the table. Twilight brought out some crepes and tea to sooth their hunger and thirst. Twilight spoke up after a while.
"Okay, who wants to read the next entry?" Applejack raise her hoof and smiled.
"Ah'll do it Twi..." She said with a sad tone. Twilight smiled and handed the journal to AJ who immediately began to read.
Journal Entry 5:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!! HI!! I know I know it's been such a long time since I have written!! Well to be exact, almost Ten years now? Yeah I think that's it... Well anyway It's my 18th birthday today!! I am so happy, but it would be better if Ma wasn't so sick, and if Pa was still alive... I promised them though that I would have fun on this day, a promise I made when I visited Pa's grave today... So I am going to have fun!! Inkie and Blinkie made me a surprise card with confetti inside!! It was so cool! I hugged them both and set the card on my stand. Oh horse apples!! It's time for the party!! Got to go!!
I HAD SO MUCH FUN!!! I got some amazing gifts!! My uncle got me an ice cream maker!! My Auntie got me an AWESOME bike! The best thing I got today was from my mama!! She gave me a crystal necklace. It is soooo beautful... I can't believe how well this day turned out. Thank you to the best family a mare could ask for!! Thank you everypony!!
Applejack smiled a big wide smile. For once that horrible, and drastic day, she smiled. Twilight smiled as well.
"Wow... That was awesome. The happiest thing I have ever heard..." Twilight said as she wiped a tear from her eye. Applejack did the same.
"Gosh, Ten years... Ah guess that her Pa's death really did a number on her..." AJ said as she took her stetson off and placed it by her heart. Twilight smiled. and put a hoof on AJ's shoulder.
"Hey, at least she was happy, that's all that matters. Losing one's loved ones is a horrible thing." Twilight said with a sad smile. AJ nodded.
"Ah guess your right..." She said with a smile. Dash tapped her hoof.
"Can I read the rest please?" She asked. Twilight and AJ both nodded. Dash smiled and picked the journal up and continued to read the entry.
MAMA!! that's the last thing I remember saying to her before the ambulance took her away. She fell to the ground and wouldn't get up. I really hope she's okay... I don't want to bury my mother... I refuse to bury her. She will not die, she will not die...
Sh-She's not breathing... Why isn't she breathing? M-ma... Why aren't you breathing..Mama speak to me...mama...ma-- I may as well face the cold hard brutal truth. She's gone... My mother is dead. She's gone like Pa's gone. WHY IS THE WORLD SO UNFAIR!!! I was told that my ma's friend, Mrs cake is going to take me in. Looks like I am moving to Ponyville. Great. Just great... JOURNAL ENTRY END

Rainbow Dash was silent. She couldn't think of anything to say. What she just read sent chills down her spine. Fluttershy spoke up.
"D-Dashie? A-are you okay?" She said quietly. Dash gritted her teeth and threw the journal across the room.
"Am I okay? Am I okay?! Should I be? I don't like this, I don't like this one bit! We shouldn't be reading this journal! Pinkie-" Before she could finish Twilight slammed her hoof on the table. Everypony in the room jumped out of their skin. Twilight stood up and walked over to Dash. Fluttershy cowered in the corner as AJ and Rarity stood up as well. Twilight spoke with a shaky voice.
"Look, I know how you feel about this Dash, but it's a direct order--" Dash growled and got in Twi's face.
"WHAT?! IT'S WHAT?! A DIRECT ORDER FROM CELESTIA?! THIS IS OUR FRIEND'S PERSONAL JOURNAL! WHY IS IT UP TO HER IF WE READ THIS OR NOT? DO YOU EVEN QUESTION HER MOTIVES OR ANYTHING? NO! YOU JUST DO WHAT YOUR GOOD AT... KISSING CELESTIA'S--" A loud slap was heard, along with Rainbow Dash hitting the ground with a thud. Dash looked up to Twilight with a look of shock. Twilight just stood their staring at Dash with anger in her eyes. Fluttershy began to cry as did the rest of them. Twilight grabbed Dash and threw her in a chair, getting close to her face.
"Dash, I would never hit you unless you deserved it... That's One thing, the next is, never in my years have I ever heard you say such things about Celestia. Your the Element of Loyalty... Somepony with your title should never speak against the princess, Let alone one of your closest friends." Twilight paused to see if Dash had anything to say. Seeing she didn't, Twilight continued. "We all miss her Dashie, and we all wish we didn't have to read this journal, but we HAVE to. If Celestia gave us this task, there must be some reasoning behind it. It pains me to say that this has to be done..." Dash gave Twilight a glare and finally spoke up.
"You know Twi, I could care less about Loyalty right now... OUR FRIEND IS IN THE BUCKING GROUND AND ALL WE ARE DOING TO REMEMBER HER IS LOOKING THROUGH HER PRIVATE THOUGHTS!! HOW ARE YOU FINE WITH THIS?! BECAUSE CELESTIA SAID SO!! I TELL YA YOU--" From behind them somepony spoke up.
"STOP IT!! JU-JUST STOP ALL THIS FIGHTING!!" Everypony looked to see a crying Fluttershy standing up and glaring towards Twilight and Dashie, tears streaming down her face.
"Lo-look at you two fighting and arguing over this journal! Do you really think this is what Pinkie wants? For us to be fighting like this?" Fluttershy began to choke up and AJ walked over to her and comforted her. AJ then looked towards Twi and Dash.
"Look at what Y'all are doing... YOUR TEARING US APART! Can't y'all just stop bickering and do what ur told to do!!" AJ said with a snarl in her voice. Rarity huffed.
"Look at you all, behaving like such children, when we are suppose to be remembering our dear friend Pinkie Pie..." She said with a glare. Twilight sighed and released Dashie from the chair. Dash smiled and walked up to Twi.
"I-I--" Before she could finish, Dash embraced Twilight into a hug and sobbed.
"I am so sorry Twi, I am such a terrible friend..." Dash said as she cried heavily in Twilight's hooves. Twilight stroked Dash's mane and started to cry as well.
"N-no I am the terrible friend... I shouldn't of hit you... Forgive me?" Twi said with a tear in her eye. Dash smiled.
"Ah.. I can't stay mad at my favorite egghead..." They hugged again and laughed a bit. Fluttershy smiled and hugged Twi and Dash as well. Rarity embraced the hug as did AJ. They all looked at each other and sighed, staring at the journal. Twilight spoke up.
"Come on girls, this thing won't read itself you know..."

Journal Entry 6:
Sorry I haven't been writing in a while journal, It's just that I have been so sad lately. Ever since my mom has died I- I don't know...I just don't know anymore... Why does life have to be so damn difficult? Is it too much to ask to be happy for more that a day? Why can't I be happy? I now live with my Ma's friend's in Ponyville. Not that it's a bad thing, because it's full of fun things to do. I help them at their place of business, Sugar Cube Corner. It's not a bad job, although it can be quite boring at times, Well until a party is thrown that is. I of course am the one who does the party part. I always enjoy that little piece of happiness when I throw a party for somepony. It helps fill the hole in my broken heart. I know my friends see me when I am at my happiest. I am always bouncing around, I am always hyper, yada ,yada ,yada. It's all a mask I put on... A mask to hide the sorrow that is slowly chewing at me everyday. I always put on a smile for my closest friends. Oh horse apples, I got to get going again. Work is calling me...
I just met a new pony who came to town!! While I was out running errands for the cakes She was walking up the road! Her name was Twilight Sparkle! She MUST be new!! That means a party must be thrown!! She is living in the Ponyville Library! OHH! I wonder if she's here for the Summer Sun Celebration!! Oh my Celestia that would be so cool!! Oops Gotta Go!! Time to PARTAY!!
Success! The party was a success! Only it was until Nightmare Moon showed up and ruined the fun!! Now I have to go and find these Element thingy's to stop her... Should be fun!!Element of Harmony? What a weird name!! Welp got to go!!
Turns out I was an Element!! Can you believe it! LAUGHTER was my Element! How interesting... The last time I truly laughed was when me and Dashie pranked Mayor Mare... Hopefully we won't have to use them too often... Oh well, If we do that would be quite interesting. Well I am tired Journal so I shall write more tomorrow! Goodnight! JOURNAL ENTRY END
Twilight placed the journal on the table and took a breath. Two days of reading the journal has tired her out. Her friends shared a yawn.
"Tarnation... Ah haven't been this exhausted in ages... Pinks sure did have a way for words didn't she?" AJ chuckled a bit and she wiped a tear away. Fluttershy sighed as she looked at the journal.
"Well girls it looks as if there isn't much left... Only a few more pages remain..." Fluttershy said in a hushed voice. Dash took a closer look at the journal and realized Shy was right.
" Hey Shy's right, There's like two pages left in this thing... Could we... Could we finish this by tonight?" Dash asked with a hopeful look in her eyes. Twilight sighed a deep sigh.
"I am not sure Rainbow Dash. While we may be able to I think One more for tonight should do it..." Twilight said with a faint sadness. Rarity and Dash both nodded. Fluttershy smiled.
"U-Um c-can I read the last one for the night? I mean um if that's okay with you..." Fluttershy said shyly. Everypony simply nodded and handed the journal to Shy as she began to read the next entry:
Journal Entry 7:
It's raining chocolate milk!! That's soooo cool!! Also very delicious! Now that I look at things, It has gotten very weird around here... Hmmm... I would say it has gotten chaotic? YEAH that's the word!! Chaotic! Oh boy this can not be good, Celestia want's us all to report to Canterlot!!
"Somepony named Discord wants to throw Equestria into eternal chaos... Oh boy... Not good at all... I may be gone for a while journal...
WE DID IT!!! According to my friends though I was a real grumpy mcgrumplestien!! I apologized to them all and I got a big hug from everypony! I was so happy! Welp thats all for today journal... I am beat... JOURNAL ENTRY END
Fluttershy put the journal down and smiled. Everypony in the room all did the same.
"She even wrote about our tussles with Nightmare Moon and Discord." Dash said with a tear in her eye. Fluttershy walked over to her and hugged her tightly.
"Yep, every memory has been put into that one book..." Shy said smiling. AJ took off her hat and gave a smile.
"All those memories... Make me happier than a honeybee at a flower sale!" She said with a small chuckle. Rarity smiled as did Twilight.

Journal Entry 8 and 9: The Best Wedding Ever and Crystal Tears
Twilight could not sleep at all. Her mind was full of thoughts and dreams of her friend who was now gone. Twilight couldn't think of the last time she had a good night sleep. All she knew was that tomorrow; her and her friends must continue reading the journal. So far they have read a great deal of it. They were almost done with it. Twilight sighed and looked out her window. Her head was full of thoughts that wouldn't leave her alone. Reluctantly her eyes closed and she drifted off to sleep.
The next morning Twilight woke her friends bright and early. Rainbow Dash was the first to wake, next was Fluttershy; who was cuddling with a stuffed bunny. Twilight smiled; only to make Fluttershy blush and squeak as she went down stairs, AJ was the next to wake up and Rarity soon followed. Once everypony was fed and ready they all sat at the large table and sighed.
"Another day, another entry..." Rainbow Dash said with a sigh. "To be honest, could somepony else read today..." She concluded. Twilight nodded.
"I'll do it." She said with a smile. Rainbow Dash nodded and sat down. Twilight waited for the others to sit down before she began. Then she began to read.
Journal Entry 8:
OH MY GOODNESS!! We get to host a wedding YAY!! Princess Celestia said she wants ME to host the reception, ME! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT! Not only is this a royal wedding, witch is cool enough; but it's also the wedding of my dear friend Twilight's brother! How awesome!! Maybe life isn't so bad after all!! I can't wait to get going! Since I am going to be in Canterlot I am going to take you with me journal!! Here we go!!
Were here! Were here! Canterlot, but... There is a bunch of guards around... I wonder why? I hope nothing bad happens to spoil the big wedding tonight... I really really hope nothing bad happens. I can't wait to start preparations!! Well I got to go for a bit journal!! I shall return!
Uh... Twilight is acting very VERY protective of her brother.. She keeps saying that Princess Cadence is a meany... How is she a meany? I don't think she is a meany... Oh well, sisters can be quite protective I should know, I'm a big sister too and I would do anything to keep my little sisters safe from harm! I can SORT of understand where Twilight's coming from... I just hope it don't go to her head...
TWILIGHT WAS SUCH A MEAN MEANY MEAN PANTS TO THE PRINCESS!! Sorry for yelling journal but she made me so mad! She said that Cadence was evil! How is she evil!? I mean really come on!! Well I got to go journal It's time for the wedding...
Turns out Twilight was right, Thankfully Shining Armor and Cadence took care of that weird Changeling thingy... I-I feel really bad for saying Twilight was a meany... Turns out she was right all along... Sorry Twilight.... Sorry... BUUTT THE WEDDING WAS A SUCCESS!! So much fun and partying in one night; I thought I was going to explode!! Twilight sat the journal down and sighed. "Wow... She wrote that in here..." Twilight said. She then started to laugh., and everypony else in the room joined. Dash spoke up.
"Wow Twi... She really had it out for you!" She said with a stifled laugh. "But hey, we all learned the truth..." Dash finished. "If it wasn't for Twi, The queen of the Changelings would still be around." Twilight smiled and blushed slightly.
"Oh come on... Your making me blush..." Twilight said hiding her face. They all continued to laugh to the point of tears. Applejack spoke up.
"Now this is what she would want, All of us gettin' along like this... Ah tell ya'll, Pinkie's looking down on us smiling..." She said. Everypony in the room nodded and looked at the journal. Fluttershy smiled and spoke.
"I would like to read the next entry please... Um.. i-if thats okay..." Fluttershy said with an adorable squeak. Twilight simply nodded and handed the journal to Fluttershy who began to read.
Journal Entry 9:
Oh maaaaan!! I thought we were done with important missions!! Celestia wants to see us right away in Canterlot!! Apparently Twilight got a message from Celestia telling her to have her and her friends meet her in Canterlot. I hope it's nothing too dangerous...I'll be back...
Crystal....Empire? What in the hay is that? Apparently it's an old kingdom that was overtaken by a mean old king named Sombra... Gee I hope we don't run into him... He sounds really really mean. Lets hope we can get this done without a fight..
Well... Spike was the one who saved the Crystal Empire... SPIKE!! That was an interesting end to a great day in hell!! I hope Twilight don't get in too much trouble.... She was the one who was suppose to stop Sombra; but ultimately Spike saved it. Celestia won't be too hard on her That much I know... Welp I got to go journal... Bye!! JOURNAL ENTRY END
Twlight smiled as Fluttershy finished the entry. "That was Interesting to say the least..." Twilight sighed. Fluttershy walked over to Twi and hugged her.
"Your still number one in our book Twi.. And you always will be..." Shy said as she hugged her tighter. Twilight's friends all walked over and embraced her in a hug. Rarity spoke. "Twilight... We love you Darling..." Rarity said with a smile. Twilight smiled back and started to tear up.
"I love you all... Thank you..." Twilight said. She then opened the journal to the last entry and a gasp escapes her mouth. Rainbow Dash heard it and flew over.
"What is it?" She asked. Twilight smiled. "The last entry... We did it... This is the last entry... Dashie... You should read it..." Twilight said. Dash didn't hesatate. She grabbed the journal, sat down and read the final entry.

Umm... Journal you have to promise to keep this a secret okay? I already don't want to tell you... I.. Am a fillyfooler... THERE I SAID IT!! Only because it's the truth I have been having strange feelings around one of my friends as of late. It's like, I can't quite explain it right at the moment... It's just...Wonderful. Happiness is something I know, trust me I know happy!! THIS kind of happy don't seem natural. Hey who am I kidding she probably don't like me that way anyway... She's the kind of pony who would make fun of fillyfoolers... Let alone be one... One minute journal I am quite hungry...
Okay I am back... Did ya miss me huh? Did ya!? Did ya!? Okay all jokes aside, back to what I was writing about... My secret crush on a mare... Maaaan that sound very weird; but I am not just going to tell you who it is... Okay I will give you a hint.. . She can fly....
Dash thought for a second and set the journal down on the table. Her mind was swimming with thoughts. "Um... Did anypony know about this at all?" Dash said with a confused look on her face. Twilight shrugged her shoulders and thought for a moment.
"I-I can't think of her being a fillyfooler... This is definitely strange..." Twilight said with a puzzled look. AJ thought for a moment.
"Now wait.. She said she liked one of us... The first clue... 'She can fly' That narrows it down to Fluttershy or Dash..." AJ said with a grin. Both Dash and Shy blushed a deep red.
"Wa-Wait WHAT!?" Fluttershy yelled with a squeak, her face still red with embarrassment. Dash stood there speechless, her face still lit a bright red.
"Sh-sh-she Wh-wha--" Was all that came out of Dash's mouth. AJ picked up the book and chuckled. "I'll take over seeing as y'all are busy... Comprehending." AJ chuckled, only to be flipped off by Dash's wing.
"Right there farm mare..." Dash said smiling. AJ chuckled and continued to read.
Oh come on journal you still can't figure it out!? Man I thought you had it at the first clue!! Oh well... The second clue is... She is terrible at cooking!! Just kidding! She's great at it!!
Fluttershy blushed a deep red. "Oh-Oh my... Um-- c-coul-could she mean me?" She said with a stutter. AJ shrugged and continued to read.
Oh journal your sooo dumb sometimes!! Okay LAST hint... Her mane is a color of the brightest prism...
Dash tensed, sweat began to pour down her face. "Oh man...PRISM?!" Her heart began to beat faster than anything. AJ read the words that Dash feared and awaited.
Rainbow Dash... The mare of my dreams... If only she would give it a chance... I only hope when I ask her she will say yes... I hope so journal... I hope so... You see today Is Dashie's Birthday... A-and I want to get her something reaalllly special... I got her autographs from the Wonderbolts... Her dream is to be one, so I got her the next best thing... An entire day with them. Dash started to tear up, her eyes clouded over with tears. "Sh-She loved me...." The only words to escape her mouth before she broke down and cried. Twilight rushed over to her, attempting to comfort her only to be pushed away by Dash. "LOOK AT THE BUCKING TIME TWI!! 9:44!! Two minutes before--She was killed..." Dash started to cry again only louder. Her friends surrounded her and frowned, their eyes also clouding with tears. Dash stood up and sighed. "I knew this would happen... Guys... I have to go... Thank you Twi... Thank you for letting me read that with you..." With that Dash left... Unknowing to her friends, with the journal in hand. Twilight sighed as her friend's all began to leave. Fluttershy was the only pony remaining in the room.
"Twi..." She asked shyly. Twilight looked at her friend. "What is it shy?"
"Will we ever see her again?" Twilight swallowed hard and spoke up. "Yes Shy... I promise we will see Pinkie again..." With that Shy hugged Twi for a long time and smiled. "Thank you for being such a good friend..." With that she left the library and flew off to her cottage, leaving Twilight alone once again in the dark Library. Twilight wrote a note to the Princess telling her they were done with the journal, and just as she was about to have Spike send it she noticed the journal was gone. She sighed. "Dashie..." She rewrote the note telling Celestia where it would be and sat in her bed, tears still falling from their prison.
Rainbow Dash sadly walked to the Yard of Heroes, the journal tucked under her wing. She found Pinkie's grave and sighed. With a heavy heart she set the journal down by the grave and smiled. "Pinkie... Oh Pinkie... I love you too... I will always love you... Th-The others don't know yet, so... If you tell anypony I'm gonna deny it... I-I liked you as well..." Tears begin to fall from her eyes. "I-I don't know why or how.. But I love you Pinkie!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH PLEASE COME BACK!! PLEASE!!" Dash grasped the headstone and sobbed uncontrollably. Her tears fell to the ground like a torrent of rain. "Please..." She whispers the word over and over until she collapses on the ground. She hears hoof steps from behind her. "Whoever it is please go the buck away..." Dash said. A chuckle comes from behind her.
"Oh Rainbow Dash... I forget how stubborn my favorite Element can be..." A voice said. Dash recognized it as Princess Celestia. Dash shot up, attempting to hide her sorrow. "Oh... Um.. Hey Princess..." Dash bows only to fall and start sobbing. "DAMN IT!!" She punches the ground and Celestia places a hoof on her shoulder. Dash looked up to the Princess with sad eyes. "It's not fair Princess...It's just not fair...." Dash said as she cried. Celestia weakly smiled and spoke. "Rainbow... Would Pinkie want to see this? She loved you and only wants you to be as happy as can be.... I know it's hard... Trust me I know...." Dash sighed. "Does it ever get any easier?" Celestia frowned. "No...Never...It never gets any easier losing somepony you cared for so dearly, and I am sure that is what Pinkie is thinking right now as she looks down on us... The pain will diminish my dear... But the scars will forever remain in ones heart, our job is to cope with the scars and move on. Pinkie would want that..." Celestia smiled and hugged Dash. "I got to go... Remember what I said, Oh and... Maybe you should put that somewhere safe where it won't get ruined, hmm?" Celestia said pointing to the journal. Dash nodded. "Princess... Thank you..." The Princess nodded and flew off. Rainbow Dash was now all alone with her memories at her hooves. Dash smiled and looked down at the grave.
"Pinkie...I hope you know... I will never forget you... You made the bad days good and the good days awesome... I love you Pinkie, and even though it hurts to say goodbye for now, I must remember... Goodbye is never forever, It's just waiting for the chance to say hello again." Dash knelt beside the gravestone and placed the journal safely on the grave and kissed it. "See ya later Pinks... In the biggest party in the sky..."

Today was just as bright and sunny as yesterday!! I saw a bunny going across the farm. It was so cute! Whoops got a little carried away there...Sorry! Anyway my mama said that daddies birthday is coming sooni am so happy for my daddy! Mama wants me to throw him the best party ever! I don't want to disappoint my papa so I got to get to work. Be back in a jiffy!!
Welp its done!! oh I cant wait till the party, I hope daddy likes it! I worked so hard on it!! Mommy liked what I did to the barn. Oh!! I got to go It's time to start the party!! Be back again!! sorry!!
YAY HE LIKED IT HE REALLY LIKED IT!!! When we surprised him he scooped me up in a hug and smiled. For the first time he smiled at me. he then said 'I love you Pinkie...' My heart skipped a beat when he said it to me. 'I love you too daddy' I said back. And he smiled again!! I was happy, everypony was happy that day. Lets keep this up!! For now goodnight journal!! Rarity sat the journal down on the table and smiled.
"We-well that was a happy one, I am quite glad..." Rarity said with a smile. Dashie nodded and smiled.
"Y-yeah..." She said smiling as a tear fell from her eye. Fluttershy grabbed the journal and smiled.

Pa isn't waking up... It's been a really long time since he has woken up. He's really cold... too cold. Mama is crying for some reason, Inkie and Blinkie are bawling as if pa's... Dead. NO! He isn't dead!! he can't be dead!! Why would he be gone? Why would he leave us... It's not fair... IT'S JUST NOT FAIR!! I want my daddy I want him back!! I want my daddy...
Just got back from the funeral... Now my world is as dark as the last time, before the rainbow graced the sky... I-I- I can't write anymore for now... Sorry journal... Journal Entry End
A tear fell from Shy's eye and landed on the page she was on. Shy started to cry.
"O-Oh my... Th-that was not a happy entry aty all..." Shy said as Dashie held her friend close. Applejack shook her head.
"Poor Pinks... Ah didn't know her pa died... Ah feel for her..." AJ said with a sigh. Twilight sighed as well and looked at the time, !0:00pm. Twilight yawned a bit and sighed.
"Lets all get some shut eye for now... We will continue tomorrow..." She said. Everypony nodded and found a place to sleep. No one slept well at all. Most of the night was spent drying eyes and wishing for a miracle that they could read on.
