Location: Sao Pegiso, Hotel Resting Mare, 5th floor
The final lead casing hit the floor, along with the contract target; the hit-colt placed his firearm into the silver holster on his leather belt. As the green carpet became tainted with the crimson fluid leaking from the dropped ponies, a dove took flight from its nest on top of the hotel balcony. The hired gun moved to the contract target.
“Looks like you're unlucky number 50.” he smiled, though his tone was accompanied by an almost saddened sigh, he reached down and took out the wallet of the dead target and checked the leather-back case for details, its only contents: a few bits and a picture of a small filly.
The colt flicked the picture into the pool of blood. He didn't want to think about the family that has lost a father, it wasn’t his business to care, his business was to do his job. Our protagonist took the jerry can of kerosene from the side table, he proceeded to pour its contents among the recently deceased, then turns on the gas stove.
This hit marked 50, 50 dead ponies at the hands of our ‘hero’, not counting the body guards of course, or the maid with the caved in skull. He lit a cigarette from the pack located in his onyx jacket pocket. He took one long drag, walking slowly to the balcony. He watched the new-born doves take flight after their mother into the orange bathed evening. He placed his hand onto the balcony and reminisced for a moment, thinking of the life he once had...
The Hit-colt took one last inhale of the death stick in his grasp before throwing it over his shoulder, back into the apartment. With the same motion he leaped from the 5th floor of the hotel, down into the sea below...
’Time for some RNR.’ His form hit the water with a noisy splash, muffled by the sudden explosion above. Dusk rolled its timely presence over Sao Pegiso.
