Rise of the Lunar Republic
Luna watched from a distance at her sister speaking to her royal advisers.
"As you can see, Princess Cadence and Shining Armor are doing a wonderful job at keeping the Crystal Empire in order and peace." The ruler of Equestria said as she finished her speech about the Crystal Empire. All of her advisers nodded in agreement.
Luna was invited to attend this meeting, but she refused. She was angry at the thought of why would her sister give Cadence the job to rule the Crystal Empire instead of her. Celestia had the job to rule all of Equestria, and now Cadence had the Empire. All that Luna did was raise the moon and watch the night. She didn't have her own land or ponies to rule over. Luna thought of her self to be a great ruler. She would order with power and glory. All of her citizens would be proud of their home and ruler. They may even leave Celestia for her new grand republic! Luna laughed at the thought of overpowering her sister.
To even convince her sister to give her a land to rule would be difficult, but Luna was confident enough to take the risk. Celestia walked out of the room in which she spoke and headed to her office to finish up the rest of the days work and then to lower the sun. Luna took this as her chance and followed her sister down the hallway.
"Hello dear sister, how did thy meeting go?" Luna said as she caught up to her.
"The meeting went well sister, thank you for asking." Celestia said as she continued walking.
Now was her chance.
"Well sister, I was thinking while I was outside... Would it be possible for me to rule a part of Equestria? Such as like you and Cadence?"
Celestia stopped walking instantly and shook her head. "I don't think so Luna, ruling a land and it's ponies would take much responsibility and patience. I don't think you could handle it"
This made Luna flare with anger. How could her own sister not think that she could handle such a task!
"But I COULD! I would rule with power and I would make my army the best there would be in all of Equestria!" She said as she stomped her hooves down.
" I'm sorry little sister, but I just don't think it's your time yet to step up to power yet. Your time will come soon enough" Celestia said as she continued walking down the hallway, leaving Luna behind.
Luna looked with cold eyes back at her sister who had already left her behind. She would show her, she would show anypony that doubted her! Luna ran to her room and called for all her personal guards to report there as well. Once they arrived Luna told them her plan. They had to all set out and find some place, free of ponies. Here she would set up her new republic, one so grand that even her mighty sister could not face!
"Now GO! Go and find our new home!" She yelled out and her guards obeyed. They all flew out of the window, making sure that none of Celestia's guards saw.
Once they were gone, it was time for Luna herself to follow. She had to do something first though. She took out a piece of parchment and a quill and wrote down a simple sentence and left it on her bed. She then got close to her window and was ready to fly out.
"You will see sister, and you'll regret underestimating me" She said to herself and flew out to follow her guards.

Celestia regretted being so harsh to her sister and went to go visit to apologize. She walked into Luna's room and froze. The room was empty and only a letter was left on her bed. Celestia picked up the letter and gasped at what she saw.
"The New Lunar Republic will rise"
