Two months after the glorious revolution that saw the rise of Soviet Equestria, the Crystal Empire attacked to reclaim its separatist territory. The war raged on for over a year. The ponies of the new Republic were no strangers to hardship, but life in wartime is never easy, and the months of shortages and internal struggles with espionage slowly began to chip away at their spirits. But then came the day when the cry of victory sounded from the front, and the SSR finally solidified its independence. And shortly after that very day, one young pony took it upon herself to make the long journey from her humble collective farm to the great city of Stalliongrad. There, she planned to meet her husband, who had left to fight over a year prior, and surprise him at the train station. Finally, after the months and months of separation, she would be reunited with her beloved, and return to the happy life she knew before the war drove them apart. At least, that was how she hoped it would be.
