At one point before I became what you could say “CRAZY!”, I had a love for things of the beautiful nature. One in particular was an alicorn that loved the sun. her name is Celestia.
My first and only attempt failed. She looked dead at me, a look of disgust. She made me feel like a monster. Though I became one over time, and though I was imprisoned, I still remember my love for her. I was reformed by the elements and my best friend Fluttershy. However Celestia still looks upon me with a watchful eye. She has the elements keep me in check. I want more than anything in the world for Celestia to see my love for her. Sure I wiped out most of the alicorns and I created chaos all over Equestria, but I’m passed that and I have changed. So I guess to start with I should send her my feelings in a basket with flowers and a note. This way it will insure that she sees it. Discord scurried off with a devious look of concentration toward his goal.
just moments later....
Discord sat down at the desk in the room given to him by the princesses. “she likes to read letters I mean she smiles at them every time she gets one. So maybe she will like this one.” thinking hard discord had given the letter writing several attempts before coming up with the perfect way to express his feelings for her. (note, his trashcan was well beyond full with balled up parchment and shredded quills before he got it right.)
Dear princess Celestia,
I know the first time I did this it failed, however I would like to start over seeing as I have changed my life around for the better. I write this letter to express my feelings I have had for you for centuries. So please except my offering of love. I hope you like the flowers I picked them myself. They are called fire flowers. Long ago I came across a field the looked like the fire from the sun so I thought you might like them since when I look at them they remind me of your beautiful sun. I also hope you come to accept and see me for who I am.

“I won't put my name that way she has to guess. I will just do lots of things for her so she figures it out.”
Discord quietly walked down the hall to princess Celestia's room and gently set the basket down. Taping on the door to get her attention he waited for her to respond. When she did he quietly walked away.
Celestia hearing the knock and no response, gets up form her comfortable spot on her cushion by her fireplace and goes to answer the door. Upon opening it she looks down to see a relatively large basket full of beautiful red-orange flowers she had never seen before. Picking it up she brings it in and Sets it on her table. she brought out a vase and filled it with water. Using her magic to pick up the flowers she placed them in the vase. At the bottom of the basket she found a note.
She opened it up and read it.
After reading it though she knew that discord was trying to make her think, his distinct way of wording things gave it away. She smiled at what he said and looked back at the flowers. She whispered to herself “fire flowers huh.” she decided to play along. She would give discord a second chance.
The next day....
Today is the day discord thought to himself. I will do what ever she wants no complaints and no jokes. I will just be me. He poofed him self into a elegant butlers outfit and went into the servants room. He announced to them, “ I have been given orders for the servants of princess Celestia to take the day off. Instead I will be attending to her highness.” Though he knew it was a total lie he said it with pride. The servants on half the room looked at him with uneasiness but the ones that served her highness just looked at him with relief. They gave him her schedule.
His new task at hand he picked up a tray with Celestia's breakfast and headed off to her room to wake her.
Just down the hall...
knock, knock...
princess its time to raise the sun. The day has begun and your breakfast is hot and ready for enjoyment.
Celestia woke with a surprise at the voice that spoke from the other side of her door. “Discord?!?” she called out in confusion.
“yes your highness it is I. My I come in?”
Celestia thought for a moment then shrugged her shoulders. “yes” she replied.
“Good morning princess Celestia”
“good morning” she replied."
Upon the tray discord was carrying lay a closed sunflower.
“discord did you place that sunflower on the tray like that?”
“no I did not”
“huh then I guess we'll just have to wake it up”
Celestia's eyes glowed as she rose the sun.
“that's better now the sunflower will open up”
Discord smirked at the childlike expression on Celestia's face as she stared at the sunflower.
He place the tray of food on the table and looked down at the list.
“princess it says here that when your done with breakfast you have a meeting with Fluttershy to discuss the disturbance of the birds nesting here in Canterlot, might I join you I would like to see Fluttershy again.”
“Yes discord seeing as you are my butler today I suppose that means you must.”
she smiled at him with delight.
Discord smiled back thinking to himself “its working yay!”
Discord she called quietly, can I tell you something?
“of coarse anything.”
“I never meant to run form your offering of flowers those so many years ago, I just had so much going on. The things that ponies told me about you, I just didn't know how to react. Then you turned bad so I was forced to save my kingdom.”
Discord stared at her, she was crying.
Discord walked up to her, “I understand now, I was just as scared to see what you would do. In my anger I lashed out against Equestria. I caused you so much grief.”
Discord held up his paw and wiped her eyes and smiled at her.
She then did something that not only surprised Discord but made him happy.
Celestia looked up at him and slowly kissed his smiling face. “I would have taken your offer. I just didn't know how.”
Discord sat in silence unable to speak for the overwhelming joy he felt was too much for words. He had a extra large grin on his face.
She smiled at him. “I knew it was you that sent the flowers and the note.”
