Chapters (ALTERNATE ENDING) Rocket to insanity: dawn of a dying Pegasus: the broken allegiance
"I'm" The princess, caught off guard by a tean rolling down her cheek. "I know what you must think of me right now. .... And I'm sorry. I know this is hard on you. But I did what I had to do to help bring peace back to Equestria. Justice was served. I'm sure you'll understand."
Twilight started gringing her teeth, clearly infuriated.
"Im going to kill you." the Princess looked shocked. "sooner or later, I dont care what it takes, I will kill you." then, she snapped. "J-justice? .... You! You call that JUSTICE?!!"
The princess recoiled, suprised by the unicorns sudden change in attitude. Twilight continued to shout at the princess, despit her muzzle still being incredably sore.
"THAT WAS NOT JUSTICE!! .... IT WAS AN EXECUTION!! .... Do you have any ANY idea how close I was?! I saved her! My best friennd! MY ONLY FRIEND!! AND YOU KILLED HER!!"
"T-Twili-"
"She had gone through so much!! She had been beaten, destroyed and left to fend for herself! .... Rarity and Fluttershy knew what they were getting into. They. They're the bravest ponies I've ever known. And now they're dead!! AND BECAUSE OF YOU!! THEY ALL DIED IN VAIN!!"
The princess didn't say anything she stood there and watched the purple unicorn wail at her in her wheelchair. Twilight calmed down, her tears now becoming ones of sorrow and not blind anger.
"I. .... I thought you'd understand what I was doing. You're the one who told me to always look out for my friends, no matter what. But I was wrong. You never even gave her a chance to speak. .... You just. .... Killed her."
The princess paused, confused with emotions. Angry for being shouted at, greif for the loss of the five elements and sorrow for knowing she was only telling the truth.
"I. .... I know how you must feel. You was only doing what you thought was right. But nopony else would se it that way. To them you were simply harboring a fugetive. Like it or not. That's the truth. I'm sorry for what I've done, but it was the only option."
Twilight sighed, still angry but knowing that it was the truth. The princess leaned foward.
"I know nothing I do will ever make up for what I did. But for my own peice of mind, I've issued a court order, giving you immuntiy of prosecution. It's the least I can do for what I did."
Twilight continued to look outside before looking at the ground, her eyes dripping with tears.
"Thank you. .... But like you said. .... It doesn't make up for what happened."
Twilight then turned to face the prinsess, staring into her eyes as she said the inevitable.
"And as of today, I am no longer your student, and you are no longer my mentor. I just want to be alone. .... Please leave."
"Okay. I'll go. .... Goodbye Twilight. .... It was good being your teacher."
The princess walked out of the hospital room, leaving Twilight to cry into her hooves, sobbing at her loss, as the sun began to set in the distance.
They never noticed a brown colt watching through the window...
(ALTERNATE ENDING) Rocket to insanity: dawn of a dying Pegasus: the broken allegiance
The Doctor trotted cautiously toward Sugarcube Corner. He had crash-landed on this planet in an abandoned warehouse in his TARDIS around a year ago, picked himself up, discovered he had become an equine, et cetera, and had set off toward the nearest town, Ponyville.
Back in the present. His timey-wimey detector had gone ding, indicating there was stuff. (Yes, I went there) in this case, a series of violent events would occur soon, the first of which, was at Sugarcube corner. As he looked in the window, he was just in time to see a conversation between a cyan Pegasus and a pink party pony.
“No...no...nonononononoNONONONO!” Rainbow yelled, her eyes darting around. “N-no...no, I don't want 'em. Not gonna l-let you...lemme out of here, LET ME OUT OF HERE!” She then proceeded to stab Pinkie, babbling something about how she should've stayed away. When she saw what she had done, she started sobbing uncontrollably. However that sobbing soon turned into hysterical laughter, and then she left, leaving the Doctor alone with Pinkie's corpse. As he entered Sugarcube Corner, an idea struck him.
"Is it..." He wondered. "Can I...yes, I think I can!" He then teleported Pinkie's body back to the TARDIS, in the freezer to be preserved, stealing it from the morgue shortly before the autopsy was due.
"I'll have to get the other bodies too," he thought. "Next is Applejack." He then hurried to Sweet Apple Acres.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
He arrived just in time to see Applejack thrown onto the pitchfork.
"W-huh. .... W-why?" Applejack choked, coughing up blood with each syllable. The pegasus didn't answer, she just started to sing as she advanced with the splinter in her hoof. She used her wings to match her friend's height, using her free hoof to hold Applejack by the neck. The Pegasus just stared at Applejack, watching her fear build, as she brought the wooden blade back for the fatal blow.
After she left, the doctor took the body like with Pinkie, and proceeded to follow Twilight Sparkle. She would probably want to find and cure Rainbow; after all, they ARE the elements of harmony.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Eventually Twilight came to a library in a different town, proceeding inside. Likewise, the Doctor watched them talk to a unicorn through a window, barely able to catch parts of the conversation, though he did hear the unicorn say something about Rainbow Dash possibly being poisoned with an extremely powerful hallucinogen.
"Aha! That must be why she's going around on a killing spree!" The Doctor thought. "If I can cure the poison with THAT power, I could stop her insanity!"
He then sped toward the next site of death.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
After taking the bodies of the fallen 5 (he killed the timber wolves and teleported the rest of the bodies before anypony could see) he hurried back to Twilight's library, setting a scroll on her doormat containing an important message. Now all he could do was wait, and hope she did the right thing...
(ALTERNATE ENDING) Rocket to insanity: dawn of a dying Pegasus: the broken allegiance
Heading back to the library with Spike (no, I have not forgotten about Twilight being infected, that part is coming up soon), Twilight was slightly surprised to see a scroll on her doormat. She hadn't been expecting a letter. Picking it up and reading it, she was slightly nervous and suspicious about the contents.
"Come to the abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of Ponyville NOW. You'll regret it if you don't come, Twilight Darkness Sparkle. Yes, I know your full name. It's about Dash." There was no name or signature. How did this pony know about that... Incident when she was a filly, not to mention the name change? Only her relatives knew about that, and the psychiatrists! She had to see this pony, he could have information on Rainbow's poisoner! Or worse, he could BE the saboteur! Should she tell the princess? At that thought she growled. "No. I will NEVER trust the princess again, not after what she did!!!" She had made up her mind, and thus, ran off.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$AT THE WAREHOUSE ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF PONYVILLE.....
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Twilight entered the warehouse, cautiously looking around for any sign of a pony.
"Well, it's about TIME you came, Sparkle!" She jumped and turned around to see a brown, wild haired colt staring at her, slamming the door and triple locking it.
"I must say, I'm slightly disappointed. I thought you were all about punctuality! Ah, well, you probably got home later than I anticipated, so I'll forgive you." He continued.
Twilight was breathing fast, scared. "W-who are you? Why did you tell me to come here?" She asked, trying to sound brave. The colt rolled his eyes.
"I said it was about Dash, didn't I? And don't worry, I'm not the one that poisoned her." Twilight was still staring at him suspiciously, and he sighed. "I've been following you ever since I saw Rainbow kill Pinkie, so if I wanted you dead, I'd have killed you long ago." At that, Twilight relaxed. "Alright then, who are you?" She asked again.
"The Doctor." Doctor Whooves said simply. Twilight looked puzzled. "Doctor Who?" He shook his head. "Nah, just the Doctor. I'm a time traveller." Twilight shook it off and noticed what was on his head for the first time. She gasped. It was Applejack's hat, her trademark, with the familiar frays and tiny patches. How did he-
"What is that?" She asked sharply. The Doctor glanced upward. "This? Well, it's a Stetson. I've been wearing Stetsons for a while now, Stetsons are cool." (Yeah, I said it. Don't like it? Too bad. #DealWithIt.) "No, I mean, that's Applejack's, I'd recognize it anywhere! Where did you get that?" Twilight questioned.
"Oh, well, I took it from her body, of course! She's dead, I couldn't let it go to waste!" He said casually. Twilight opened and closed her mouth rapidly, dumbfounded. "B-b-b-but h-h-h-how...."
The Doctor sighed. "Just come in here," he said, gesturing toward an old fashioned blue telephone box. He walked inside, and as he did, Twilight could've SWORN it looked bigger than it should've been. Hurrying inside, her jaw dropped as she witnessed the magnificence of the TARDIS for the first time.
"But.. I-it's... How... IT'S BIGGER ON THE INSIDE! THIS IS NOT SCIENTIFICALLY POSSIBLE, CONFOUND IT!" She shouted in confusion.
IS it??? I hadn't noticed!" The Doctor said in a voice dripping with sarcasm. "Twilight Sparkle, sometimes you just have to say, "buck logic!" And accept something, and this is one of those times. Anyway, come in here, quickly!" He walked into a room where Twilight could see five covered beds, each with a lump under the covers. The Doctor smiled ruefully. "Take a look."
He somehow swept all five covers off the beds at once, revealing the mutilated bodies of her friends, the rest of the mane 6, the now defeated Elements of Harmony. Twilight let out a choked sob as she looked at each of her dead companions in turn:
Pinkie Pie, stabbed in the chest by Rainbow Dash;
Applejack, speared through the back with a pitchfork, again by Rainbow Dash;
Rarity, peppered by the sharp diamonds that fell on her;
Fluttershy, injured by Rainbow and left for dead to be eaten by the wolves; The Doctor managed to kill the wolves, but not before one luckily severed her carotid artery, causing her to bleed out.
And finally, the killer, Rainbow Dash herself, saved and cured by Twilight, but soon mercilessly executed by the princess unworthy of her title, who didn't even give them a chance to explain that she was cured... The one known as Celestia...
Twilight gasped in terror as a horrible thought hit her. "Are you going to kill me?" She asked. "Are you going to put me on a bed just like them, to complete the collection?" She cowered in terror, awaiting great pain, but she only received a gentle hoof on her shoulder, and a reassurance that was just as gentle.
"Hardly. I lured you here because I can do something everypony wishes they could do." Twilight looked up to see a grin spreading across the Doctor's face.
"And what's that?" She asked, curious, and slightly hopeful.
The Doctor kept grinning. "One word. Resurrection."
(ALTERNATE ENDING) Rocket to insanity: dawn of a dying Pegasus: the broken allegiance
Resurrection.....the word echoed endlessly in Twilight's head. Was he implying-?
"You want to resurrect them?!?" She shrieked with happiness, jumping around the room joyfully, very reminiscent of Pinkie.
"Yes." He replied. "But first, there's somepony else I have to cure." Twilight stopped bouncing to listen intently. The Doctor pointed. "You."
Twilight was perplexed. Why did she need to be cured? She wasn't sick. As though reading her mind, The Doctor said, "Remember? Rainbow infected you with the poison when she bit you!" Twilight suddenly shuddered, remembering her brief seizure-like attack. "Alright, but first, how can you time travel? What about the paradoxes?" She asked.
"Oh, i can avoid those easily, plus, the thing is, ponies assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a nonlinear, nonsubjective viewpoint, its more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey wimey stuff.(yes, i did just watch part of "blink" just so i could type that correctly)
Twilight stared for a second, then just accepted it. "Alright then, how can i be cured?" she asked.
"Simple." The Doctor said. "Ehh, sorta. I absorb the power of the time vortex, use it to cure you and resurrect your friends, and everything's fine and dandy!" He said cheerfully.
Twilight was slightly worried. Was it really foolproof? "Alright then, do it." The Doctor opened a hatch in the TARDIS, and a stream of light entered his eyes. Once the stream stopped, the Doctor turned to face Twilight, and his eyes were gold and glowing now. Twilight was uneasy.
"Doctor?" She asked, wanting to know if he was alright. The Doctor simply reached toward her, and Twilight noticed she had a golden aura about her now. When it disappeared, she felt as though something heavy had been lifted off her chest.
She sighed in relief. "Thank you, Doctor." She said. He said nothing, merely smiled, and did the same to Rainbow Dash.
With Rainbow it was different. Her body gradually repaired itself, her wounds simply closing up, her mangled parts regenerating, even the burns. She then acted as though she emerged from a body of water breathless. She sat up suddenly and gasped loudly. She sat still for a few seconds, then patted herself to make sure she was real. Upon seeing Twilight, she tackled her to the ground, sobbing, "I killed them! I killed them!!! I'm dead!! Celestia killed me! How am I-I..." She trailed off. Twilight smiled gently and patted her, calming her down.
"You're back, Rainbow," said Twilight. "That's what matters. It's in the past. Besides, you didn't mean to kill them. You were poisoned with a powerful hallucinogen that caused you to have horrific dreams, which made you kill Pinkie and go insane."
Rainbow looked up at Twilight, looking slightly more relaxed. "So...what now?" She asked.
"Well, first, we should bring the others back, no?" Twilight suggested. Rainbow, turned and saw the other four bodies, and whimpered.
"But...they'll hate me! How can they possibly forgive me after this? I killed them all!" Rainbow sobbed. Twilight's expression didn't change.
"You were poisoned." She pointed out. "You had little to no control over your actions. Besides, we're all friends. They'll forgive you." With a shuddering breath, Rainbow nodded. The Doctor then reached toward Fluttershy's remains.
Like with Rainbow, her wounds healed quickly, leaving no trace of harm behind. However, her reaction was... Unexpected.
"Oh, Twilight! Rainbow Dash! I just had the most horrible dream!" Fluttershy exclaimed as soon as she came back, seemingly unaware that she had been dead for nearly 72 hours.
Twilight and Rainbow were taken aback by her reaction, but rolled with it. "It, err, wasn't a dream, Fluttershy."
"Oh, I see," Fluttershy said. "Wait, WHAT?!?!" She glanced at Rainbow and then dashed for the door (no pun intended), but the Doctor held her back.
"It's alright now, Fluttershy," Twilight reassured her. "Rainbow's cured now."
Fluttershy stopped struggling for a moment to take a long look at Rainbow, and then relaxed. She then recoiled slightly when she noticed the Doctor. "Um, Twilight," She mumbled. "Who's this?" She gestured slightly toward the Doctor.
"I'm not entirely sure, to be honest," Twilight said. "He just calls himself the Doctor. I think I can trust him though; he's the one that brought you and Rainbow back to life."
"Oh, alright then," Fluttershy said.
"I'll explain what's happened while you were gone when the others are resurrected." Twilight promised.
In turn, the Doctor aroused Rarity, Applejack, and finally Pinkie Pie, from their eternal slumber, each with mixed reactions. Ironically, Pinkie was the only one who came back grinning, still optimistic as hell even after dying, though she was slightly confused as to why rainbow killed her, but that was the only change. Twilight then explained everything as best she could(the Doctor slipped away during her explanation to regenerate, due to the time vortex).
"Okay, so let me get this straight," Applejack said. "Rainbow was poisoned by somepony with that halluci-thing so she'd kill Pinkie and all of us, then she killed Pinkie, myself, Rarity, and Fluttershy, then you cured her, but then the Princess killed her?"
"Yep, you pretty much summed it up," Twilight said casually.
"Alright, but where's this colt in the picture?" Applejack pointed to where the Doctor had been, then she looked slightly confused. "Hey, where'd he go?" She inquired. Suddenly, an unfamiliar colt, similar to the Doctor in appearance, but with a different hairstyle, popped out of the darkness.
"SO!" He exclaimed, clapping his hooves. "What's going to happen now?" He asked casually, as if he knew them.
"Who are you?" Twilight asked sharply. "Where's the Doctor?"
He rolled his eyes. "I am the Doctor, Twilight Dar-" he cut off, then glanced at the resurrected. "Ah yes, they don't know, do they?"
"About what?" Rarity asked, curious.
"Nothing you should concern yourselves with," he brushed off. "Come now, I didn't tell you I had to regenerate after I did that?"
"No, you didn't!" She scolded indignantly. "What happens when you do?"
"Eh, I just change my appearance, sometimes my personality, and that's all." He explained like it was no big deal.
"Alright, fine, but what's with the random bowtie out of nowhere?" She inquired.
He responded with a smooth, "Well, it's cool. Bowties are cool." (Yes, yes I did)
"Also, I need to talk to you, in private. Now." Twilight said. Shrugging the Doctor led her to a small room and locked the door behind them.
"Now," Twilight started. "How do you know about my middle name? Only my relatives and the psychiatrist knew about the incident."
"Uhh, helloooo? I'm the Doctor, time traveller, Time Lord, I kinda know a lotta stuff I shouldn't." The Doctor said. "Anyway, that's neither here nor there, I only used your real name so you'd have a higher chance of coming here."
Maybe his knowledge of THAT incident wouldn't be so bad. "Alright then," she sighed. "Let's go back with the others."
They returned to the body room. "I must say," Rarity spoke. "You do look rather fine with your new appearance, similar to a Canterlot pony." She fluttered her lashes at him.
The Doctor scoffed. "Ha! Sorry miss, but I'm unavailable." His eyes narrowed. Rarity "tsked" in disappointment.
"Who's the girl?" She inquired.
"THAT is none of your business, though I will say she is wall-eyed," the Doctor looked away awkwardly at this.
"Derpy Hooves?!?" Rainbow exclaimed, startling everypony. "You hooked up with Derpy Hooves? MAN, no offense, but you have odd taste."
"It's also...well... It gets a bit lonely traversing time by myself," the Doctor mumbled. "I try to get a companion when I can."
"Aaannnyyywwaayy..." Twilight cut in, trying to steer away from the awkwardness. "What should we do now? We can hardly just waltz back to Ponyville, I mean, everyone thinks you're all dead."
"Personally, I think first you should confront the Princess," The Doctor suggested. "She should know you are all alright, after all, she was just doing what she thought was right. She'd be relieved to know you're all back."
"Perhaps she would," Twilight nodded. "But I can never forgive her for this. What if you weren't here? What would my fate be without the others, and your cure?"
The Doctor shivered. "Ehh, just trust me when I say you don't want to know." Twilight took him at his word. "Also, I would be wary upon approaching her. She may not take kindly to the one thought to be a murderer, killed by her, to return. I suggest disguising yourselves until you arrive before her. If she attacks, it won't work, since you're all invincible now because of the time vortex, so don't fret about that." Twilight agreed.
"I can't trust her either," said Rainbow. "She didn't even give us a chance to explain."
"I concur," agreed Rarity. "This form of recklessness cannot be overlooked, especially with the end result."
"Well, um," Fluttershy murmured. "I don't think we can trust her when she hurried on like that, either."
"Agreed," Applejack said, "She had no faith in you, she treated ya'll like strangers!"
Pinkie was silent for a moment, and the others suddenly realized, her mane and tail had flattened. "Losing a friend's trust is the fastest way to lose a friend forever," she growled. "And Celestia did just that. I no longer hold allegiance to her, as far as I'm concerned."
"It's settled then," Twilight said grimly, "we will never trust Celestia again." Everyone nodded.
"Alright," she said. "Time to form a plan!"
(ALTERNATE ENDING) Rocket to insanity: dawn of a dying Pegasus: the broken allegiance
By early morning they had formed a plan. The six of them would go on a train to Canterlot together, not being separated for any reason. The Doctor would travel close to the castle in the TARDIS. They would be wearing dark, long, hooded black cloaks provided by the Doctor, to not arouse suspicion. They would go to see Celestia, and would dispose of the cloaks when they were before her. They each carried silenced pistols loaded with high-dose tranquilizer darts, except for Fluttershy, in case things got ugly and they had to force they're way out(again, supplied by the Doctor). They would speak with her, to make it known that they were back, but no longer held allegiance to Celestia. Luna had nothing to do with it, they were fine with her, but if Equestria's fate was in their hooves, they'd do it their own way, ignoring Celestia completely. The mane six would never be the same, but it was better this way. The Doctor had also put some sort of implant in their brains, so they would be much more skilled in combat, and Twilight's and Rarity's magic would improve tenfold, as would Rainbow's and Fluttershy's flying abilities. It was time for action.
Though some gave them looks of curiosity as they passed, none recognized them, as the cloak completely covered them, and they wore black cloth around their exposed hooves.
As they approached the castle, guards gave them suspicious looks as they passed, but did not stop them. Heading toward the throne room, when the guards stopped them, Twilight spoke in a low voice, "We seek audience with Princess Celestia." Though they were wary, they let them pass.
Walking before Celestia, they bowed slightly, knowing it was the last time they would do so. "Good afternoon, Princess Celestia," Twilight said in her normal voice, nodding at the others to keep a tight hand on their concealed pistols.
Celestial looked down at them, looking slightly sad. "May I ask who seeks audience with me?" She inquired, but Twilight scoffed.
"You know who I am, Princess," she spat the last word slightly. "Please, you're insulting my intelligence."
Celestia's eyes widened when she realized who it was. "Twilight?" She asked. "I expected you to never see me again. What brought this on, and why the cloaks, and who is with you?"
Twilight grinned. "You can't guess? After all, there's six of us. Reveal yourselves," she sharply told the cloaked figures.
One by one, they disposed of they're cloaks, with Celestia's expression becomeing more incredulous with each revelation. Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and the last one... Rainbow Dash herself.
"Seize them!" She cried, looking terrified. Were they ghosts?
As the guards approached, Twilight exchanged a glance with the others. "Neutralize them!" She yelled, drawing her pistol along with the others.
With a few fast *pew pew!*s, the guards were unconscious on the floor. However, several more arrived through the front doors.
"CEASE HOSTILITY!" Twilight roared at the princess, pointing her firearm at her. "We need to have a talk!"
Celestia regained some sense, calling off the guards, wanting to know what in the name of Tartarus was going on.
Celestia spoke first. "How?" She asked, looking amazed. "How are you all alive?"
Twilight growled slightly. "That's for us to know, and for you to never find out. All that you need to know is that we're back, and Rainbow's back to normal. Also, just a suggestion, I think you should be more careful what you say," she pointed out Pinkamena, snarling a bit, with her mane and tail flat.
"Alright," Celestia said, choosing her words carefully. "Why are you all here, then?"
"To alert you that we're back, of course, among other things," Twilight said, rolling her eyes. "5 ponies who are supposed to be dead can hardly just waltz back into Ponyville, now can't they?"
"N-no, of course not," Celestia agreed shakily. "Do you want me to do something about this dilemma?"
"All we want you to do is alert Ponyville that we're back," Twilight said. "that's all."
"You said ‘among other things’," Celestia said. "What other things?"
" Do not think that this changes things between us," Twilight elaborated sharply. "We want you to know that we no longer harbor any allegiance to you. You lost our trust when you executed Rainbow like that without giving us a chance to explain." Celestia noticed all 6 of them looked a little angrier. "We will never trust you again. Is that understood?" Celestia nodded. "Also, if Equestria's fate falls once again, into our hooves, we are doing it on our own, with no help from you. You will never be a part of our plans again."
"And don't think this changes my thoughts either," Twilight said. "I'm still considering whether or not to kill you." The princess looked slightly afraid now. "Eh, maybe in a few years, maybe never. Either way, we are separate from you now, no exceptions." They put their cloaks back on. "We will be taking our leave now." They each walked away, one after the other.
"Twilight!" Celestia let out a desperate shout. Twilight slowly turned. "I know how angry you are, but.." This could either be very bad or slightly helpful. "Can you ever forgive me?"
Twilight stared. Then she laughed, laughing so hard tears were streaming. "Me? Forgive you? After THIS?" Twilight stopped laughing and looked solemn. "Maybe I will someday, maybe I won't. I don't know. But you know what?" She asked. She then suddenly appeared next to Celestia, not teleported, just suddenly appeared. She then whispered menacingly in her ear.
"I. Don't. Care." She then vanished, going with her friends toward the train station.
(ALTERNATE ENDING) Rocket to insanity: dawn of a dying Pegasus: the broken allegiance
The mane 6 gave the cloaks back to the Doctor in a dark alley, thanking him for his help. Pinkie's hair had returned to normal by now.
"By the way, I have one question," Twilight said.
"Alright, what's that?" The Doctor asked.
Twilight braced herself. "What in the name of sanity, have you got on your head?" They all looked up to see the Doctor was wearing a strange, bucket-like thing.
The Doctor responded the same way as he'd answered with the bowtie. "It's a fez, I wear a fez now. Fezes are cool. I still like Stetsons better, though, which reminds me." He reached into a bag and pulled out AJ's Stetson and handed it to her. Surprised, Applejack just realized she had been without it the entire time. Taking it from the Doctor, she gave him a small smile. "Anyway, I'll be off now, hope to see you again!" He then sped off towards the nearby TARDIS.
"Okie dokie loki!" Pinkie said happily.
"Good thing Thor isn't here," Rainbow muttered. "Wait, why'd I say that?" She shook it off.
"Well, girls," Twilight said. "Time to head back into Ponyville!"
"YYYEEEE HHHAAAAAWWWW!" AJ whooped.
"I anticipate their reactions to us coming back," Rarity said.
"Yes," Twilight agreed. "But hopefully Celestia will have told them about us, and they'll eventually get used to it." They then boarded the train for Ponyville.
*********
When they returned, they were immediately bombarded by the Cutie Mark Crusaders. "Sis, you're back!" Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle cried joyfully, hugging their respective sisters. Scootaloo looked awkwardly up at Rainbow, still slightly afraid. Rainbow then smiled warmly and hugged her.
"I'm sorry I attacked you, Scoots. I'm fine now." Scootaloo looked relieved and happy that her idol was back. The 6 then spotted a familiar, ex-dead stallion watching them.
"Eeyup." Big Mac said. He was followed by a familiar, handsome colt.
"Sorry 'bout that, totally forgot about you're brother, Applejack." The Doctor said. "Anyway, I think that's all the dead ponies so, I'll be off now."
"Wait," Twilight spoke for the first time since they boarded the train. "Knowing Pinkie, there's probably going to be a party soon celebrating our return. Wouldn't you like to stay?"
"That's very thoughtful of you, Twilight, but for once, I'm low on time," he declined. "There's a supernova due near the stars of Orion, and I'm the only one who can stop it. Besides, I've already been to the party 3 times." He winked when he said that. "Anyway, farewell for now. Allons-y!" He left.
"What did he mean by that?" Rainbow asked.
"Well, he's a time traveller," Twilight explained. "He's been to the party 3 times. Simple."
"Enough jibber-jabber, it's party time!!" Pinkie yelled happily, bouncing up and down.
*******
The party was one of Pinkie's greatest, though ponies noticed some changes in the mane 6's personalities. For example, Pinkie was always a tad bit more solemn than she was in her first life, and she no longer hesitated to bring out her dark side if need be. Fluttershy was just as kind as she always was, but she was quite a bit tougher mentally now. Death can have strange effects on ponies. Twilight was always distrusting of the princess and her guards, even her brother, Captain Shining Armor, never had her complete trust again. None of the mane 6 ever trusted them again, though they still held some allegiance to Luna. The mane 6 were a bit darker now, but they still faced and defeated every challenge thrown at them together, as the Elements of Harmony. Not to mention that they were now invincible due to the time vortex's power.
And through the night sky, if one looked through a telescope, they would often see a strange, blue box flying in the air, watching over the mane 6, their protector.....
