"What the hell..?"
I mumbled aloud while walking down the love and heart filled Ponyville , I was just a basic earth-pony with a jet-black coat, golden colored eyes, long curly red hair with some white highlights and of course a cutiemark in art ( A little paintbrush with some red,blue,green splatter if your curious ). My little adventure starts with me moving away from my house or erm hut in the "Froggy Bottom Bog" which as you know..was a very dangerous place and couldn't honestly sell any of my artwork their. I was planning however to start anew in Ponyville but this place is to off. Honestly I am a bit shocked on how orderly everything is...does anyone think this to? Possibly I am just to used to being alone all the time with a few tough and mean passers by...
I decide to move along the winding hoof-pattered path down to the center of town to find a decent place to set up shop yet after hours of searching, the only suitable place would be by the bakery I assume. I move in quickly with the salespony eager to have me a part of their little town and even gave me a cheap price that I could afford! I was thrilled to high heaven not to take a loan yet it's weird also that their isn't barely any steeds in this place...I think a day's rest will stop my schizophrenia of this magical utopia.
I wake up in the middle of the night to the smell of sweets being baked which also leads me to remember that I in-fact am in need of nutriment by the grumble of my belly. "Why not..their still open." I reason with myself and slip out the dankly red sheets of my bed before silently hoofing my way over to Sugarcube Corner. "hello?" I mumble aloud..nearly my first words in such a new place yet suddenly a ecstatic "Come on in!" breaks the silence. The entire shop was filled with many wooden tables to sit with a counter filled with sweets directly placed in-front of so. Me lacking social skills I felt scared and diden't even know where to start till I see the pink balloon covered flank of what I can speculate to be a pony. "Hey, I wandered if I could get someth.."
Before I could even finish however I see her puffy pink mane which I must say..looks just like cottoncandy. "Your new here! I know because I know every pony and every pony is my friend!" she blabbers on about but I simply nod and blush a bit..not even knowing how to feel in this moment."My name is pinky pie! What is yours..?" she quickly chatters and hops around the corner to get closer to me..her eyes however are studying me I feel..looking over my body like it was a piece of meat or something. "My name is.." I pause only for a second..embarrassed to even say my own name yet also because of my own crazy self. "Candy Cane" I mumble softly while nearly drooping my head down like a submissive animal caught in a trap. "Oooh! so do you like sweets like me to? I love sweets!! I sell them and bake them!"
She goes on about yet it seems unreal someone could be so happy and I nearly forget why I came here. "Ohh..I hate to bother you but could I get something to eat?" I try my best to be kind and not to project myself in a negative light. " Of course silly! You can have anything you want, cupcakes, cakes, birthday cakes, muffins..." she goes on and one while I only let her and look around her shop. I also accidentally wander my distance behind the counter yet Pinky gracefully corrects me by hopping in-front of me. "How about I get you something special?" she says with a smile while sinking her eyes down seductively. "What..?" I quickly mumble with my cheeks flushing a bit pink, not really expecting such a sudden advance. Pinky however doesn't mean it sexual however or I wouldn't suspect it to be towards such a stranger! Pinky almost has a sudden change of personality while inching closer with a wide grin on her joy filled face. "I got some very nice cupcakes you can try for free and if you like them.. ill let you have as many as you want." Okey..I honestly think she does mean something and I only could bubble out a nod. "Great!" she cheers and hops into the backroom which leaves me to sit and try to relax myself before what I suspect to be something to be a hot night.
However Pinky honestly comes back with a few cupcakes and lays them on a distance table and asks for me to sit down and give one a try. "Sure thing Pinky pie." I put a cheery smile back and pull back a chair to sit in while I gaze down and study each cupcake. The cupcakes are a mixture of a rosey-bread with layers of creamy white mixed around in the layers and topped off with a creamy twist top with of course a bright cherry on top! I halt myself from digging into the dish of goodies like a dog like I would do alone and instead pull one each up to my mouth with ease..it tasted so good yet like a meal with a few juicy fruit fibers in the mix. Pinky tells me a little about herself..personal stuff I must say..about how a big stallion always hurt her in the rock farm yet one day a magical rainbow blew away her worries and decided to move away.I let out a light burp by accident when I finish the last cupcake while pinky only bounces up and down like a child would, " How was it!" She once again cheers.."It was mouth watering<3" I mumble in awh with me starting to lighten up. Pinky only giggles and we part ways for the day, how I must come back tomorrow.
Last night's sleep was so nice and allowed me to get a early start on today! I decided to pay my respects to pinky by sitting outside and drawing suger-cube Conner with my brush. Ah..how do I love to paint..all my stresses melt away with the feeling of the fibers wiping color into space and making a world of my own! With me entranced in my work, a little lavender colored pony with a large old dusty book sneaks up behind me and watches me calmly. "Hello" she utters aloud while I almost drop my brush in shock with me jolting up straight. "Oh I am sorry!" she says while I only tenderly smile and lay my brush aside. "Oh, your fine really! I was just caught up in my work." I excuse her while letting out a giggle, im still feeling bubbly from last-nights encounter. "Oi I almost forgot to introduce myself! I am Candy Cane" I work out to say even if I do hate my name so.."I am Twilight Sparkle, I though it would be a good idea to give you a welcoming gift!" Twilight says and with her magic, casts the old leather-cased book on my lap..I study it for a moment before peeling back the cover. Their I noticed countless methods of shadings, tricks and what-naught that in trilled me to even glance on. "T..thank you!" I utter out while we exchange a few more words before she allows me to carry on. I nearly cried in joy to be honest..I was always so used to being alone and not even given a ounce of love yet here it is truly heaven!
The day turns to dawn and I put aside my brushes and painting for the lighting was off and I don't have the money for a good camera so I shift everything back into my house lousily yet a tall red strong steed with a golden mane comes to my side. "pardon me but it looks like yeh need some help." he offered while I carry a few brushes in my mouth.."Mmhumm" I hum out but I am surprised to see another male in this city full of mares. I blush a bit while I seem him display such strength and easily able to carry tenfold what I ever could yet his generosity like all the others wins my quick affection. I feel a bit bad however for having him carry everything in with me only holding three brushes in my mouth yet I offer him something to drink in which he accepts. "So what's your name Partner? I am big Macintosh" The southern sounding pony questioned yet I feel embarrassed and outmatched by such a handsome pony.." I am Candy Cane" I quietly replied while sitting down two cups of lemonade ( My favorite drink ) down on the table between us. Big mac doesn't comment on the girlyness of my name yet he seems to be shy himself but mostly kind. "Tis is erm darn good lemonade, you should try some of our sweet apple orchard Cider" he offers and we talk about apples and art before he excuses himself to leave.
It was a good day..or at least a good long day while I think before crawling back in bed while starring up at the wooden dim-yellow ceiling with a pleased smirk on my face, for once I feel truly happy yet I must confess..I am however having already mixed feelings between the ponies. I close my eyes and allow the world around to dim slowly away for I think tomorrow will be a great day.
oh! Once again I am awaken by the sweet smell of cupcakes being baked by my house and this time I eagerly bounce out of bed and hoof my way down to Sugarcube Corner! "Hello their Candy Cane!" Pinky teases with her pink cotton-candy hair let down straight over her pink frame while holding a tray of the same cupcakes. "Awhh, let me a least pay for theses." I say while pinky shakes her head no and lays the Delicious snack in-front of me. Unable to resist myself, I dig in and much away each and every one of them while pinky intrudes to the chair at my side. " Their is something you can do for me however." She then says in a slow lusting tone..I am once again flushed pink and hide my ebony muzzle in one of the tasty cupcakes. "Come meet me in my backroom~" she simply says while I glump down a large glob of the tasty rosy bread.
"Erm sure thing! I can help you with about anything. " I say while even if it wasn't true, I would try my best to help such a kind pony. "Yay!<3" Pinky lets out a cry of joy and like a bunny, hops off to the backdoor. I finish up the cupcakes quickly while also trying to prepare myself for what I think may happen. Twisting the golden knob of the pink door and opening it slowly, I am greeted with a shadowy old stairway with bags of batter looming on the sides. I pay it really no mind and head down each creaky step and head into the darkness with confidence in my heart. Their..their I see Pinky pie standing while beaming me a mischievous look. Looking around the room I spot a lot of baking goods, tools, a bunch of theses flower sacks and what-naught. Beside pinky however is a outstretched sheet over a nice table I suspect and I blush.."Kinky.." I murmur while pinky only lets out a cheery giggle. "Oh? Well I hope you like your surprise!" She then says and moves in close while clinching a bundle of the sheet in her hand, dragging it away while moving in to give me a delightful wet kiss on the lips. I however close my eyes to enjoy the moment but..
Looking over pinky I spot it..the sheets roll down and the same red fur I remember from the morning is seen bound to the table with many bloody tools all around him. My eyes widen yet I am in shock..my heart nearly goes out of rhythm while I hop back in fright of what I see. "What the hell!" I cry out while pinky looks on with concern.."What do you think I make your cupcakes out of? Magic? well your latest batch was..." She murmurs while I fall back my flank on the wooden steps..my body unable to even process all of this while I feel my tummy twisting, how sick! I look around to see the bloody flower sacks are infact filled with the bodies of ponies with once..in the Conner... Twilight hair sticking out of..."No!!" I cry out and run over to the bag..giving a squeeze like as if it was a teddy bear yet pinky only laughs. "You are a silly filly!" she murmurs while I sob and close my eyes. Across from me I see her cuitemark in with the others, all stacked in a nice pile with sowing needles and strong thread ready. Pinky only picks up a knife and moves in close.."You see it gets lonely doing this all by myself...I hate being alone so I though why not get a party guest!" She laughs like a maniac and I noticed how I allowed my trust betray me. "Please stop.." I murmur but Pinky moves in while dragging the knife against my cheek..feeling the cold blood stained steel only makes me shiver while she paints my ebony fur with her blood. "Think about it...you already ate the cupcakes and you do love me don't you? I seen how bad you want me and you could even make my dresses!" She offers while I don't even know what to do.
I stand...only thing I could do at the moment and ease my shaken self over to the table to stare over at the unconscious Big macs body. Pinky pie lays the blade at my side and gives me a tight hug afterwards. "Do it for us.." she says while I hard to take in oxygen now that I noticed that awful smell of ponies under the sweet layer of sweets..I don't know what to do..I am so weak..so useless..she loves me doesn't she? I could eat her cupcakes and..then I see my reflection. "Who am I.." I ask myself before I take any action..what truly would make me happy in this world.
Taking the blade in my hand..I raise it over Big macs neck and ease it over his red fur.."I wander where I should cut" I utter while pinky pie lets out a happy gasp and begins to rattle off suggestions. However once pinky lets me go I move myself over to cut away at each of his leather straps while agreeing with her craziness. Biting enough time away, I remove the last of his bindings before I move in at pinky. "How about another kiss before we s..start?" I mumble while she cheerfully agrees and mashes her pink self to my frame. I hover the blade high behind her and prepare to jab it into the back of her neck yet I quiver in fright if I mess up. Pinky catches me in the act and pushes me away with a harden thrust, causing me to crash down onto my back with the knife skidding a good distance away. "I though you was different!" She screams and all I can do is worry about getting the knife back! I crawl myself inch by inch towards the sliver shiny blade in the darkness but Pinky wouldn't dare have that! With a heavy kick with her strong hoofs, Pinky shatters one of my kneecap against the solid ground while I let out a loud cry! Screaming even while she breaks the other and leaves me unable to stand. "We where hitting it off so well to! I am going to make you suffer for making me think so." Pinky says in a serious tone..her cheery voice gone and instead picks up the knife.
I feel a wave of dread wash over my body while she easily straddles on-top of my chest and binds my wrists together wit a loose piece of rope. I weakly fight at the binding while tears roll down my eyes..I feel such terror for standing up against such a powerful foe..easily waving the glossing sliver blade in my face while deciding where to cut. "Your eyes..ill take the artists most favorite prize." She giggles when she watches me in horror while I close my lids.
"That will do no good!" Pinky reassures me and forces my right eye-lid open..I can't look away..the knife slowly inching towards me before penetrating my pupil and causes me to let out a deep cry! Blood quickly gushes out and my vision disappears in a red mist while she rips away the blade yet keeps the nerve attached..."Such a treat!" Pinky teases and wraps it up like spaghetti before chopping down on it. I only have one eye now and I don't aim to lose that to! "Did you know steeds like you are my favorite thing to eat! So much muscle but it seems your lacking it." Pinky points out that clearly even she could overpower me. I Whimper when the blade comes close to my other eye.. I close my lid which she allows this time. In darkness I can hear her heavy breathing and even feel the sweat off of her body while also mines..such fear races in my heart while I hope it goes over quickly.
Suddenly I hear a loud *THAMP!* followed by the crackle of bone..the pressure of pinkies body is flung off of mines! I open my eye to see big-mac standing over the broken skull of pinky with her body laying lifeless at my side. "Are you alright!" he mumbles and eases down to study my wounds while I nod..tears roll out of my only eye while all I can do is reach out and squeeze his red body to my own in comfort. The beast is dead..the horror that lurked in Ponyville is gone and I thank Celestia while Big mac carries my blood covered body out of the darkness and into the light of a new day.
three months later I find myself in the memorial site built in the remains of Sugarcube Corner..of course I cannot walk and I don't care to anyways..my vision is good in my one eye still so I thankfully can still paint yet the horrors I cannot escape so suddenly. Big Mac and I have became very close and we do love one and another yet we are still shy about such things but I rather not chatter on to much about such things. I burned my house away and I live now up in Sweet Apple Acres by the "Cuite mark treehouse" which I must say are adorable at most and help me get over such things. I am happy such dark times are over and I can move on with my live even if it is quite messy..but I am loved and love everyone in my new home.
I hope you enjoyed the writing ^^ this is my first one and I got some ideas from the famous "Cupcakes" and just decided to sit down and try to write something good.
