//-------------------------------------------------------// The Lady in the Wood. -by xXCondemnedSoulXx- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// For Love. //-------------------------------------------------------// For Love. I seen her but once whilst on my travels past the dark wood. Her stripes tearing away at her pure white coat. Her gleaming sapphire eyes, hidden behind her shadowy hood. As I gazed upon this mysterious mare, nothing felt dryer than my very own throat. She could never love one such as I, but I had these feelings within. The movements she makes, and the way she speaks. To confess my feelings openly, I would deem it only deep sin. My affections are too powerful, from my very eyes: it leaks. When I first caught sight of this wonderous woman, twas’ was on the edge of the ’free. She began walking towards it, to conceal herself away. Her darkened silhouette faded as she passed amongst the tree. With the sight of her gone, my mind went astray. I couldn’t let her fade away from my eyes, for I needed to see her. I took to the woods, after the one I loved. But as I arrived at the gates of the forest, my strength seemed to waver. Though I allowed my childhood thoughts to be shoved. It was told many times when I was a child, to never enter the tainted ’free. But my heart knew more than my mind ever could. I summed up my bravery from bottom to top, to let my poor heart be. So I pressed on into the thick, unknown of the wondrous wood. I pressed on, hoping to follow the woman of my dreams. My heart pounding within my chest. But as I passed through the wood, I lost her through the seams. But something told me that this was a test. For her, I would brave the terrors of the night. Search through the darkness for her lovely ways. Fight my way passed the trees, until the break of light. But becoming lost within the forest, it could be for many days. These are the choices one must make, when they fall in love. I pressed on through the woods, in pursuit of this mare. Feelings floating through my chest, as if a turtle dove. The forest drew darker, but for her, I had no care. I lost sight of the one I loved, as I paraded passed the brush. An empty feeling filled my being, being lost. Alone. I had lost the one I had been searching for. My heart, my love, my crush. Though my soul was broken, my heart, I needed to atone. I walked through the brush, lost and by myself. The time seemed to pass, but something caught my ear. The sound was lonely, though not by itself. The sound. The sound. Rushing water was near. I followed the sound and it did not take long, before I found the lake. Feeling weary of my travels and the ones I had before. The feeling becoming more than calming, a sleep here I would take. But the still, sweet water. That I did adore. It sat alone, much like myself. Trapped but courageous through the night. The strength of the water, alone and unafraid. Encouraging those who saw. The reflections of the water, I saw myself. So then I begged the plight. I asked the gods to see her once more and my wish they did draw. In the depths, of the lake. A figure did appear. She began dancing towards me, as majestic and proud as she could. Her smile there once again, and her eyes held sincere. I knew it was fate, I knew it was real. I was meant to come into this wood. She broke free of the warm waters grasp, then she calmly took my hand. My heart began racing once again, seeing the beauty before me. She told me not to fear the dark, and lead me to the sand. Though the sights were magnificent, she was the only one I could see. I placed my hand upon hers, then a smile began to form. I asked her for her name and an answer I did obtain. My cheeks grew a vibrant red, and my thoughts drew rather warm. Her name was beauty itself, and my feelings couldn’t retain. I confessed my love for the woman, as she gazed into my eyes. I opened my heart to let her in, my world set into bliss. She explained that she too held me dear, and then I claimed my prize. I leant in and so did she, on the beach we did kiss. The moon reflecting off the water, romantic as it could. A perfect smile shone on her face, as she spoke of home. She stood and took my hand then lead me through the wood. We strode back into blackness, confident as we roam. We arrived at a hut, hidden within the confinement of the trees. I found her, I kissed her whilst braving the forest alone but alone I am naught. My heart shooting like a rocket through space, at this, she would tease. The lady of my dreams, my mind and heart. Her love is what I sought. The tale of love, one I hold dear, even to this day. The commoner and the goddess, love ever expanding. My love is unending, for she is mine, that shall never sway. Our love together, the love we share. Is simply just outstanding. Does she love me? Does she not? This I know is false. Love is something more than wishing, this I know is true. You cannot wish upon a flower, for they have no faults. If your love is pure and certain, love will see you through. I leave you now, to learn, to live. For you need to love. Forget not my story, and what I sought to achieve. For these feelings are one, for she is my turtle dove. The feelings of the one I love, this I did receive. I love you my dearest, and I am sorry that I am gone. Never forget our story, or how we came to be. But with my passing, and this letter. My love will still go on. I hope my love, one day. You’ll be here to join me. Deepest affections, the commoner. Author's Note I hope I touched some feels, and also hope you enjoyed it. I put it together in a night so if it didn't exactly reach where it was supposed to, teach me some tips in the comments. Thanks for reading. Keep it cool, Condemned.
