Even in Illness, Princess Sparkle's Gotta Get Her Rocks Off (TwiPie)
“Um.. you wanted to see me, Twilight?”
Twilight Sparkle hacked a brutal cough. “Oh, Fluttershy,” she exclaimed rather weakly, her voice scratchy and worn-out. “Yes, come in.” Twilight once again descended to a torrent of hacking and coughing.
Fluttershy daintily stepped inside the princess of magic’s bedroom and softly shut the door. “Oh dear, Twilight.” She flew up to her friend’s bedside. “You don’t look so good.”
“No, no, no, Fluttershy. Compared to how I feel, I look like if Rarity had a foal with Big Macintosh.” Twilight hacked again as she swept the beads of sweat off of her forehead.
Fluttershy raised a hoof to her mouth. “Oh my. Is it strep?”
Twilight nodded before accidentally swallowing, causing her to let out a sharp screech of pain. The alicorn rubbed the temples of her forehead vigorously. She grunted through her gritted teeth in frustration.
Fluttershy backed away. “Oh dear, you should really get some rest, Twilight. I’ll be going...”
“NO!” Fluttershy jolted in surprise. “Please don’t leave, Fluttershy. You’re the only one who can take care of me!”
Fluttershy raised an eyebrow. “Whatever do you mean, Twilight? Why does it have to be me? What about Pinkie?”
Twilight shook her head fiercely. “Pinkie Pie is exactly the reason you have to take care of me. Last night, I started coming down at Sugarcube Corner, and she brought me home. She said if I was still feeling bad today, she would be taking care of me. I need you to stay here and make it look like you’re taking care of me so that she leaves.” Twilight burst into another fit of coughing after such a long speech.
Fluttershy got a sad look in her eyes. “Oh, but Twilight, why would you pass up on that? I for one would love to have my special somepony look after me.”
Twilight rolled her eyes. “Even if that special somepony was Pinkie Pie?”
Fluttershy’s look showed her deepening disappointment, complete with the shake of her head. “Twilight... I honestly expected better of you.”
Twilight considered what she had just said. The alicorn sighed upon realization. “I guess what I said didn’t sound exactly... nice.”
“Do you want to talk about it?”
Twilight coughed again. “Why not? I’m not getting over this anytime soon.”
“I know what you mean. Strep is just the worst.”
Another hack. “You’ve had it?”
Fluttershy lowered her head and brushed her forehoof on the wooden floor. “Oh, um... well, no... but my a couple of times, some of the mammals I take care of...”
“Yeah, I’m not going to lie, Fluttershy. I’m feeling a lot worse than your friggin’ animals.”
Fluttershy looked understandably annoyed and indignant. “What’s your deal, Twilight?”
Twilight groaned loudly and rubbed the temples of her forehead once again. “I know! When I feel nasty, I act nasty!” Twilight hacked a gob of clear, yellow mucus onto her bed sheets. “Buck, I’m disgusting! My face is on fire, swallowing feels like getting scratched in the throat, and my inner-ear feels like it’s crying for help! I don’t know about you, but I don’t think I want to add Pinkie’s crap to that equation!” Twilight heaved as she wiped away the sweat on her brow.
Fluttershy patted her friend on the back. “Oh, Twilight. I know Pinkie can be a little... overwhelming at times, but do you really think she would do anything to actually make you feel worse?”
Twilight sighed. “I guess not, but I can’t really deal with her, today. I love Pinkie, heart and soul, but not when I’m like this. Besides, considering how nasty I’m acting right now, I doubt that she would even want to take care of me.”
“Oh, don’t be such a silly, Twi-Twi.”
“I’m serious, Pinkie. Look, I know you want to help, but I don’t want to say anything that might upset you.”
“PINKIE PIE?!” Fluttershy exclaimed. It was true: miraculously, Pinkie Pie had appeared at Twilight’s bedside. Alongside her was a cart of various items. Fluttershy looked to Twilight, who wasn’t showing any sign of shock. “Twilight, you aren’t even going to question this?”
Twilight shrugged. “And drive myself crazy? Nuh-uh.”
Pinkie giggled. “Aw, Twilight, y u so silly?”
Twilight glowered. “I so sick,” she deadpanned.
“Aaaw, I know that, sweetie. Which is why I got all this nifty stuff from Nurse Redheart that should help you get back to your old self. Just call me Nurse Pinkie!” Pinkie stood tall as she gave an exaggerated salute in all of her glorious sincerity.
Twilight leaned and looked over at what the cart contained. There were various sleeping pills, lassanges, bottles of water, tissues, and a humidifier. Seeing this, Twilight turned to her marefriend and let out a deep sigh.
Pinkie’s expression turned to worry. “What’s wrong, Twi? Did I forget something?”
Twilight shook her head. “Pinkie, this is wonderful. I honestly didn’t expect you would go to this effort.”
“Uhh, Twi, it’s me!”
“Noted, yes, but I thought, and please don’t get offended, I thought that you just throw together a ‘Make Twilight Feel Better Party’ or something along that line.”
A pregnant pause followed. Then, Pinkie snickered as she tried to contain herself before bursting into uncontrollable laughter. Twilight and Fluttershy glanced at each other in mutual confusion.
Slapping the floor, Pinkie exclaimed, “A party? When you’re all ickly-sickly? Not on your life, sister! Honestly, Twilight, you should know me better than that.”
Twilight chuckled. “Hey, give me some slack. After all, you’re you.”
Pinkie beamed. “Exactly! But that’s why you love me, right?”
Twilight blushed. “Yeah, you’re right.”
Fluttershy smiled at her two friends, noticing Twilight’s improved mood in the presence of her lover.
“Okie-dokey, now that you’ve stopped being such a bad mix of sad and grumpy, it’s time for your body to get with the program once again.” Pinkie reached to the cart and grabbed a bottle of water and a couple of pills. “Here take these. Nurse redheart says that they should kill the infection.”
Twilight grabbed the items with her magic. She opened the bottle of water, and downed the pills, cringing in deep pain from the swallowing.
Pinkie took the out humidifier and turned it on. The fan inside made a nice, soothing background noise in a room that was usually uncomfortably silent. “Now, you just take a nap and make the nastiness go away.”
Twilight smiled. “What would I do without you, Pinkie.”
Pinkie scoffed. “Are you really asking me that? You’re Twilight Sparkle, the bestest alicorn princess in all of Equestria! If anyone can do things on her own, it’s you!” Pinkie leaned closer. “But that doesn’t mean I don’t like helping my girlfriend feel better when she needs to.” Pinkie gave a warm kiss on Twilight’s burning forehead.
Twilight blushed brightly, thankful for having Pinkie be on top of things when she herself wasn’t able to be. The alicorn’s eyes drifted to what remained in the cart, and proceeded to widen upon seeing something interesting. It was a folded white cloth with a red cross stitched on.
Twilight’s gaze darted back to Pinkie. Panting, she asked, “Pinkie... is that a...”
“Nurse costume?” Pinkie giggled. “Yepper! I borrowed it from Nurse Redheart. Well, I wouldn’t say it was borrowing, because I saw it hung up and I was like ‘Omigosh, Twi-Twi would love that!’ So, I took it without telling anypony, but I knew I needed to have it! I’ve got the little hat and everything.” She grinned seductively. “You’ll get to really meet Nurse Pinkie later when you feel better. I guess you can call it ‘motivation’.”
Twilight was panting like a dog in heat. It was part arousal at the hooves of her lover, and part loopiness at the hooves of her sleeping pills.
“Umm, girls?”
Pinkie and Twilight turned to see that Fluttershy was still there, her cheeks brightly burning. Pinkie and Twilight’s eyes widened in embarrassment as Pinkie giggled uncomfortably.
“So... am I done here?” Fluttershy timidly inquired.
“Yes.” The lovers replied in unison. Pinkie, in her usual chipperness; Twilight, in scratchy annoyance.
The princess proceeded to violently hack mucus for an indeterminate amount of time.
