Heartwarming moment with Twilight Sparkle.
“Bye Twilight.” You say walking away from the library after yet another successful meeting.
She has wanted to speak with you every night about how your world was where you were from, before you came to Equestria. You only used to talk to her once a week, but the last few days you were with her every night, you didn’t mind however as she was good company. The long walk home did bother you though. Why did you have to choose a house in the outskirts of the town?
Arriving at your apartment you go to straight to bed, as for tomorrow is a busy day.
Waking up, the cold morning air sends shivers through your spine. Looking for the source of the cold you notice you left the window open last night, and being half naked doesn’t really protect you from any cold. You turn around, grab your sheets and wrap them around you in an attempt to keep the cold away.
“Anon, you in there?” a tomboyish voice could be heard speaking from behind you. Shifting your head towards the voice, you see a blue mare with a rainbow colored mane peeking through your window.
“Morning Rainbow.” you mumble as you close your eyes again.
“Are you coming to see me train tonight? You haven’t seen me train in ages. You’re probably lacking awesomeness already.”
“I’d love to but I have a meeting with Twilight tonight.” you say opening your eyes once again and facing the blue Pegasus.
“Really, you're taking her out for a date again?” She asks. Did she just say date?
“It is not a date, it’s an educational meeting.” you respond getting out of bed, grabbing a pair of jeans and a sweater before exiting the room. Downstairs you grab an apple and walk over to the door, unlocking it and walking into the open air. Rainbow Dash spots you below her and flies down towards you.
“So, you and Twilight haven’t “done” anything yet.” she asks holding back a grin. You don’t answer that; a short stare is enough to show her it’s time to stop messing around.
“Okay sheesh, relax a bit. Where are you going?” she asks once again.
“I’m heading over to Rarity’s boutique to get the clothes she made for me.” You respond as you start walking. She follows you for some odd reason. At first you thought she would eventually fly off, but you’re already halfway there and she is still flying behind you.
“You don’t have anything better to do?” you ask.
“I do, but this is going to be pretty entertaining.” Rainbow answers with a smug grin. You were about to ask her what she meant by that but as if on cue a voice calls out to you.
“Howdy there Anon.” a country voice speaks. Turning around you notice its Applejack, she’s waving you over.
“Hi AJ.” you say, but you don’t stop. You just keep on walking.
“Wait a minute, ah need to talk to ya.” she says making you stop in your tracks.
“How did it go yesterday with twi?”She asks.
“Fine, I guess?”
“Have ya kissed her yet?” Did she seriously ask that?
“Why would I kiss Twilight?” you ask confused.
“Wasn’t last night yer forth date? Ah think it’s ‘bout time.”
“Why do you-. It’s not a date ok?” you say resuming your walk towards Rarity’s boutique. Damn crazy ponies, why do they think you’re dating Twilight?!
You could hear Applejack and Rainbow Dash talk to each other behind you.
“What’s up with him?”
“I have no idea.”
You grunt when you hear that. “I should be the one asking.” you mumble as you walk on.
Finally after what seemed like hours, you arrive at the boutique and are greeted by the white unicorn herself.
“Hello Anon.”
“Hi Rarity, are my clothes done?” you ask getting to the point.
“Yes, they are.” she says walking over to the counter, grabbing some clothes and walking back towards you.
“Anon, you’re seeing Twilight again today right?” Ah damn it not again.
“Indeed I am.”
“Why haven’t you kissed her yet?” I KNEW IT!
“Why does everyone want me to kiss her?!”
“Anon, a mare doesn’t go out with somepo- someone four times in a row without her having feelings for him. And you two are kind of the talk of the town at the moment.”
“Whatever, Thanks for the clothes Rarity.” you say grabbing it from her hoof and taking your leave. Could it be true? Were you dating her? NO. Why do they even think it’s a date? quickly you run back inside.
“Rarity, Why does everyone think that we’re dating?” you ask desperate for answers.
“How do you call it when two grown people go out for dinner?” She answers. Ah crap! Four days ago you told Twilight that maybe they’d have to meet somewhere that isn’t in the library. This is your fault. you simply walk away, back to your home. You need to think this through. Twilight knows that the last four days weren’t dates right?
It was time to pick Twilight up for the fifth “outdoor meeting”. You stood in front of the library and knocked on the door. Moments later it was opened, revealing the purple unicorn herself, her mane was almost shining as it was perfectly styled.
“Hi, Twilight. Where do you want to go today?” you ask uninterested.
“I wanted to go to the park today, if it’s fine with you of course.”
“The park is fine, come on lets go.”
Arriving at the park, you see there are way more ponies around than usual, including all of Twilight’s friends, but when you two arrive they all scurry off into nearby bushes and trees.
“Ok, that was awkward. Where did everyone go?”
“I don’t know, but that’s not important. Let’s sit down shall we?” She asks pointing towards a park bench. Phew, she’s sounding a bit formal again. Maybe she doesn’t see these as dates after all...WRONG! as you sit down on the bench, she lays herself on it as well, placing her head on your chest and letting out a deep sigh.
“You know Anon, this is our fifth date already...” Date...date....date. there is that damned word again. “Don’t you think we should-”
“No. No we should not.” You say standing up from the bench. “I can’t do this, you’re a pony! That’s just wrong.” you say running off into the distance. Have to get home, away from crazy ponies!
“Anon Wait!” you could hear in the distance, but you don’t care anymore. Mistakes have been made and you won’t make anymore.
“Where do you think you’re going.” you could hear a voice scream behind you. When you look back you see its Rainbow Dash flying at top speed towards you. Crap. You brace yourself for big impact, but it never happened. Instead you realize you're standing against a tree with an angry looking mare in front of you.
“How could you Anon! You just left her like that all alone.” She says angrily.
“How do you know! Were you spying on me?” You ask frustrated as well.
“OF COURSE I WAS, the whole town was there!” Ah fuck.
“I-I don’t care, leave me alone.” you say starting to run again. She doesn’t follow you however. Now you have time to think.
Days have passed, you only left your house the first day to get groceries and after that you decided you shouldn’t do that again in a while. Everywhere you go, there were mad ponies giving you icy cold stares. Ice cold, yet it still burned through your soul how they eyed you everywhere you went. Damn they were angry about this. Maybe you should just apologize for what you have done; nobody deserves to be humiliated in public. And in some kind of strange way she was attractive. NO! Bad brain. Horse not sexy! . Knocking could be heard on your door. That’s strange... nobody ever came looking for you after that day... Who could it be?
Opening the door showed a very angry looking Applejack giving you the same stare everypony gave you.
“Hi Applej-”
“No smooth talkin Anon, Why haven’t ya apologized ta Twi yet?” she says.
“Why should I? I haven’t done anything wrong.” you defend.
“Ya left her all alone in the park that day after you took her out for a date 5 times in a row. What were you thinkin?”
“A date has never been my intention.”
“You broke her heart Anon, ya should have atleast given her a chance.”
“But she’s a pony!”
“So? If she were a human, would ya have kissed her?”
“Maybe... I don’t know.”
“I’m gonna go now, I hope ya set things straight.” she says walking off into the distance.
Maybe she’s right, and if you don’t apologize everypony will hate you. Do you really have decision here? you commence your walk towards the library, past the mad pony crowd. Arriving there you knock on the door and wait for an answer. Small footsteps could be heard and after a few moments the door unlocks and you see the small dragon behind it.
“Go away Anon.” Spike says trying to close the door, but you quickly place your foot at the entrance.
“No, I have to speak to Twilight.”
“She doesn’t want to talk to you, and you know why.” he says angrily trying to close the door.
“I still need to talk to her; she doesn't need to talk to me. Listening is enough.” at your words you could see the mare you were looking for appearing from behind a bookshelf. Her eyes were all red as if she was crying for hours. But you knew that it was more than a few hours... It’s been almost a week and apparently she was still sad about it.
“Speak Anon.” she says softly.
“Twilight I-I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have ran away. I guess I just freaked out because... Well you’re not human... I know I’m too late now, but I just needed to say it. This apology isn’t enough to make it all better; I just hope you can forgive me in the future... Goodbye Twilight.” You felt better now, at least you tried. Turning around you were about to start walking back home when suddenly you smack against the ground. Great, karma probably thinks different about this. Standing up was impossible as it seems something kept you down on the ground. It was Twilight, she held you tight as she was sobbing quietly with her muzzle pressing against your shirt.
“No, Please don’t go...” she says bursting into tears. “I-I need you Anon...”
“I won’t, never again. I promise.” you say putting your arms around her as well, passing your hand through her mane. This seems to calm her down a bit, as the tears slowed down and she shifted to a more comfortable position. Pressing her chest against yours as she closed her eyes. She looked so peaceful lying on your chest, trying to get as close as possible.
When you look up, you see quite a crowd has appeared as they were forming a circle around the library. Once again they were eyeing you, a lot calmer luckily. The mare on your chest was shuffling a bit.
“I can’t forgive you Anon, not yet...” She says slowly moving her muzzle across your neck to your cheek until she stopped with her face right in front of yours. You could feel the heat of her face as she was now only a few inches away from you.
“What about all those ponies watching us.” you ask nervously. Kissing a pony is one thing, but in front of a massive crowd...
Suddenly a flash of purple blinds you. When your vision returns, you are in the library, on the couch and with Twilight on top of you as she was still moving closer. She presses her lips against yours as she closes the distance that was left between you two. Her lips were quivering a bit in the beginning but they stopped when you pushed back into the kiss. You didn’t want to say it, but this felt amazing. She ends the kiss looking deep into your eyes.
“I forgive you Anon.”
Loud cheering could be heard from outside of the library. Both of you shift your heads towards the sound. The curtain was left open, and most of the ponies could see through it.
“They saw everything.” you mumble, as she lays herself back on your chest with a satisfied smile.
“And I don’t mind.” she burrying her muzzle into your chest as cuddled closer to you, sharing her body warmth as it seemed to calm down your whole body. Why does it feel so good?
“Neither do I...”
