Shining Armor sat at the table in the Crystal Palace, reading the Equestria Daily so far everything was usual the Wonderbolts had another successful competition, the Gossip column talked of former Wonderbolt trainee Lighting Dust was getting married to both spa pony twins Lotus Blossom and Aloe, and comics were of more adventures of the Power Ponies, but when he reached the front page he saw the headline:

MURDER IN PONYVILLE!

When he read this he got interested so he continued reading: Princess Twilight Sparkle was found brutally murder this morning, it appears according to sources that Twilight got her throat cut with a knife and then had her entrails removed, on the wall of the alleyway where she was found the killer wrote the word "BITCH!" in Twilight's blood, as of now the police and royal guards have no suspects. He read to himself.

Shining stood up and realized his sister was murdered. He then heard the door open and saw Cadence, his wife standing in the doorway," Honey, Twilight was murder." She said covering her mouth with her hoof as tears fell from her eyes. Shining and Cadence left for Ponyville, to see Twilight," I will kill who ever did this to my sister!" Shining yelled when they entered Ponyville.

As they walked through the street they saw a memorial service at the Golden Oaks Library for Twilight. They were both curious so they went to the service to pay their respect, as soon as they entered they both saw familiar faces Spike, the other five Elements of Harmony, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, Trixie, Derpy, Flash Century, Discord, and Twilight's parents Starlight Sparkle and Twilight Velvet.

The two ponies entered the library and split up, Cadence went to talk to the girls while Shining saw Spike signal him to a table," What's up?" Shining asked when he got to the table Spike didn't say a word but signaled two others to come to the table which is when Flash Century and Discord arrived," Well it's quite obvious who ever did this really hates Twilight." Discord said bluntly, Flash just shot him a glare which said he should watch his tongue, Shining asked if they had any clues, Flash simply shook his head in response," Actually that's not completely true." Spike whispered.

Shining then noticed that he had a book in his claws on the cover it read, Twilight's sex journal.
" Read it." Spike said, Shining did and noticed it wasn't a journal, but a schedule of Twilight's sex life or love life if you prefer in it were the names of Twilight's partners," After the service the four of us are going to find Twilight's partners one of them is the killer." Shining said, Spike simply scoffed Flash asked what was funny Spike responded by pointing behind Flash
," All of her partners are here." Spike said referring to the group of mares talking by the shrine of Twilight, Shining, Flash, and Discord saw the fourteen mares and felt uncomfortable," This'll be good." Discord said leavening the service to plan their next move," Our next move is simple read through the journal then interview the mares one by one." Shining said. Spike and Flash agreed, but Discord seemed reluctant," This'll be good." Discord said again.

Shining sat at a table in town hall reading his sister's journal writing down Twilight's partners. Shining, Flash, Spike, and Discord walked down the street to find the first two partners: Applejack and Rainbow Dash," Applejack, Rainbow Dash come with us." Spike said, Applejack and Rainbow both looked confused until they saw the journal," Please, we found the journal we know all about your relationships with Twilight." Spike said, the two mares agreed and came quietly as they walked to the police department all the while Shining was remembering what Twilight wrote for day one of the schedule.
