'Oww... My back!' Was the first thing I thought when I woke up from my deep slumber. I wasn't one of those guys who can wake up early in an instant. Lets just say, that I LOVE my sleep. So, I kept my eyes shut, to try and get back to sleep again.
I wasn't in a rush though. It was a Saturday morning, the beginning of a weekend. And, I had no homework that weekend. FINALLY!
I tried to go back to sleep but my bed felt, odd. It felt hard, slightly prickly, and larger than usual. And my pillow, it was hard as rock. And, where were my bed sheets?
"What the hell? No wonder my back is so stiff" I said to myself. I reached out for my alarm clock on my left to check the time. It wasn't there.
'That's strange' I slowly opened my eyes to see my surroundings. I wasn't in my room. In fact, I wasn't in a room. I was actually outside in some thick, spooky forest.
I quickly got up from the ground. All I could see is forest. Nothing else. I could hear the sounds of rustling leaves, the crickets chirping, and some exotic bird sounds. Then, a thought came into my head.
'Am I still dreaming?' I clearly had no idea if I was asleep or not. The colors that the forest held were bold and, cartoony. But, it felt like that it was legit. I started to have a mind fuck. So instead of thinking, I started walking.
I had no idea where I was walking, but I knew the best decission is to move. Who knew what dangers lied in the forest.
"Hello?" I called out to see if anyone replied. There was silence. Then, behind me, I heard a rough rustle in the bushes. I quickly looked behind myself.
"Who's there?!" I was a bit scared at this stage. Being alone in some spooky woods with someone, or something stalking me. Yeah, maybe a bit more than 'a bit scared'.
"Show yourself! I mean you no harm. I just need directions" Silence. I slowly approached the bush.mI could smell a foul scent in the air.
'What is that smell?' I quickly blocked my nose. I was now about, 10 feet away from the bush. I looked carefully at the bush. I could see two glowing, green eyes staring at me. My eyes widened in shock.
"Oh shit..." As I leapt away from the bush, a large, wooden version of a wolf jumped out. The monster stared at me, and growed. Its tree sap like druel dripped from it's sharp, splintered mouth. The scent was apparently the monsters breath.
The wooden wolf was pretty large. Larger than the average wolf. I knew that I was in deep shit. The monster then made a horrific roar.
"AAAAHG!" I screamed loudly, quickly got back up and ran away. I looked behind me, and not surprisingly, the monster was chasing me. I could see it slowly catching up.
"Shit shit shit shit SHIT!" I was now panicking. I jumped over a fallen tree, nearly loosing my balance. The wolf like creature opened its jaws to take a bite at me. I took a sharp turn to escape its reach. SNAP! SNAP! Luckily, the monster missed.
'Time to find a way to stop this... Thing' I really needed a nickname for this creature, like, Timber Wolf? Yeah, that suits it. I looked around, and saw a small rock on the ground. I quickly approached it, picked it up, and piffed it at the monster.
The rock flew into the Timber Wolfs mouth, chocking it. I looked for another rock. I picked it up, and threw it at its leg. The stone destroyed it, making it collapse into a pile of wood.
"Direct hit!" I pumped my fist in the air. I thought it was over, but it wasn't. The wood slowly moved on its own, and made the shape of the Timber Wolf. My mouth was agape.
'D-did I just see it repair itself?' When the repair sequence finished, the Timber Wolf howled. The loud sound echoed through the forest. Then, two more Timber Wolfs arrived. They both barked at me.
"Clever girl" The three began chasing me now. I could hear their hungry grunts they made. I was getting tired now. I wasn't really use to sprinting long distances. (I'm not saying that I'm unfit, it's just that... Never mind. Back to the story) I panted deeply, bud didn't loose my speed.
If this was a dream, this was obviously the most scariest, and realistic nightmare I've ever had in my life, so far. I tried doing some tricks to wake myself up.
"Wake up" I said to myself. The Timber Wolfs got closer.
"Ben, wake up!" I pinched my arm, hard. They began barking at me.
"I SAID WAKE THE FUCK UP!" I said as I was slapping my face. I looked at the ground and saw another fallen tree and like in every horror movie, I tripped. My face met the hard soil with a thud. I tried to get up, but my left foot was pointing the opposite way.
"OOOW! FUCK!" I knew with a broken foot in this situation is bad, very bad. I looked around for any rocks to throw, but there were none. I turned and faced the pack of Timber Wolfs that were chasing me.
"Oh no. Maybe this isn't a dream" I said. I knew I was done for. I knew I was dead meat. But what I didn't know is where I was, or how I got here.
I cringed at the thought of dying, but I knew this was my one and only choice. Tears started to drop from my eyes. I didn't want to die, not now! They were getting closer and closer. I closed my eyes, and braced myself.
"Goodbye. Cruel world!" The Timber Wolf infront jumped at me to finish me off. Then, I heard a loud 'GLAZERK!' sound behind me.
I quickly opened my eyes and saw a brigth, purple bolt in the air. It was heading for the Timber Wolfs. It seemed like everything happened in slow motion as the bolt got closer to the Timber Wolf that was in mid air.
It made a small explosion as it collided, and caused the Timber Wolf to collapse. The heavy wood fell towards me. I closed my eyes and braced myself for impact. CRASH!
'Oww... My everything!' I was in seriouse pain. My head throbbing, my limbs crippled, my heart poinding, and my mind FUCKED! I slowly opened my eyes to see where I was this time.
I wasn't in my room nor the spooky forest. I appeared to be inside some other house. I was inside a wooden room that had a small table, two rugs, a stone furnace, a stair case, and a few bird cages. Even though the room had lots of things, it seemed pretty neat and tidy.
I was lying on a small, green couch. It was way too small for me. Heck, my legs were hanging off.
'How is this suppose to be comfortable? Is this even created for people? Who bandaged me up? How did I even get here? Was I kidnaped? What was that bright light back at the forest? Am I still Dreaming? GOD! So many questions' I thought. I could see the front door on the other side of the room.
'Welp, that's my ticket out of here' I slowly stood up, but then imeediately fell to the wooden floor with a thud.
"Oww!" I yelped. I completly forgot about my broken foot. I looked at my bandaged foot.
I didn't want a broken foot to stop me from getting out of here, so I began to crawl my way to the door, as it was the painless way to get there.
A few seconds later, I could hear foot steps coming from upstairs. I had to move quickly. As I got to the door, I reached for the door handle. Now I could hear the footsteps coming down the stairs.
"Shit!" I quietly cursed to myself. I grabbed the handle, threw the door open, and began to crawl outside.
"AAAHH! IT'S AWAKE!" A feminine voice screamed. I quickly turned my head, and saw two colorful ponies. One had wings, a light yellow coat and a light pink mane. And the other had a facial horn, a lavendar coat and a dark purple mane with a hot pink highlight. The yellow pony was pretty much hiding behind the lavendar pony, shaking.
"Fluttershy, calm down! You might frighten it" Said the lavendar pony. She was right. I have never encountered talking, colorful ponies with wings and horns before. So I was a bit scared... Ok, I was terrified. I was a pretty easy guy to scare.
'Am I on drugs?' I thought to myself. I slowly crawled backwards, not taking my eyes off the two ponies. The lavendar pony gasped, and a purple aura enveloped the door handle and closed the door. The lavendar pony stepped forward.
"H-hello?" She asked. I stared for a while, and slowly waved.
"H-hi" I finally said, waving my hand to them. The yellow pony, named 'Fluttershy', jumped.
"I-I-IT T-TALKS TOO?!" She screamed.
"Shhh..." The lavendar pony shushed Fluttershy.
"I'm sorry about Fluttershy, she can easily be scared. Anyways, my name is Twilight Sparkle. What's yours?" The pony, named 'Twilight Sparkle', asked.
"I'm Benjamin. But, everyone calls me Ben"
"Everyone?" Twilight asked quizzically. I nodded. Twilight stared at me with confusion.
"Anyways, Ben. I have a few questions that I am willing to ask you" She said as I slowly calmed down. Fluttershy though, was still hiding behind Twilight. I wasn't that scary, was I?
"Ok, shoot" I said.
"Ok, firstly. What are you?" She asked quizzically, tilting her head slightly.
"Well. I am human" I simply said. A second later, a large book floated infront of Twilight. The book opened and began flicking pages. A few seconds later, the page flicking stopped, a bookmark floated onto the book, and the book closed.
"I should read about humans later to learn more about your kind. Anyways, next que-what's wrong?" Twilight asked. I was pretty much staring at her with wide eyes, and my jaw to the floor.
"How do you do that?"
"Haven't you heard of magic? Anyways, next question. Why were you in the Everfree Forest?" Magic. I always thought here was no such thing as magic, that it was all trickery. But what the heck, there is no such thing as talking ponies either.
"Well, to tell you the truth. I don't know. First thing, I was in my room, on my bed, minding my own business. Then I arrived in that spooky forest. Then a wooden wolf came from the bushes and started to chase me. I used some stones to take it down, but it self-repaired. It called for reinforcements. Two others came and they were all chasing me. I tripped and broke my foot, making me dead meat. Then I saw a purple bolt. It destroyed the monsters, but then the wood knocked me out. And now, I am here"
"If it weren't for Fluttershy and me, you would be Timber Wolf dinner"
'Wow, the monsters were really called Timber Wolfs. Lucky guess' I thought.
"Why were you out in the forest?" I asked Twilight.
"Well, Fluttershy's pet bunny, Angel, wondered off in the woods. Fluttershy and I were searching for him. Later on, we heard screaming coming from deep in the forest. Fluttershy and I came to check it out, and that's when we saw you on the ground, about to get killed by a Timber Wolf pack" While Twilight was rambling on, Fluttershy slowly walked next to Twilight, shaking in fear and hiding her face behind her mane.
"I didn't want to stand and watch the Timber Wolfs gnaw on you. So I quickly shot a bolt that could penetrate through wood with my magic. Once the Timber Wolfs were down, Fluttershy and I dragged you here, Fluttershys home" Twilight finally finished.
"I-I also bandaged y-y-your broken foot. I-It should be better i-in about. Five w-weeks" Fluttershy stuttered, whispering on the last part. I knew that five weeks was a long time, and I didn't like that.
"How can I, you know, walk around with this busted foot?" I asked. Fluttershy then walked to a stick, picked it up with her mouth, and passed it to me.
"Y-you can use this to s-support yourself" She said quietly. I attempted to stand up, using the walking stick to help push me up on my feet. I then realised that I was much taller compared to Twilight and Fluttershy. They only reached up to my hips.
"Thank you, for saving my life, and healing me" I said to them both. Twilight smiled. Fluttershy smiled slightly.
"Anyways, even though you have a walking stick, you shouldn't give your foot too much pressure. So you shouldn't walk around much" Twilight included.
I didn't like the idea, sitting around doing nothing like a couch potatoe, but I knew that this was my one and only choice. I slowly walked to the small couch, and sat on it.
"You two should talk, get to know each other a bit more. I'm gonna go get the others to come here and meet you, so I'll might be about half an hour" Twilight concluded. Her horn began to glow.
"Wait, before you go. I've got a question" Twilights horn stops glowing and she turns to me.
"What is it?"
"Where exactly on Earth am I?" I asked
"Earth? What's an Earth?" She asked. I paused for a few seconds.
"Earth is our home planet. The planet we live on. The planet we are on now. Right?" Twilight gave me a confused look.
"Oh, you mean Equestria?"
"Umm... No" I simply said. Twilight stared for a moment.
"Well, I have never heard of this so called planet, 'Earth'. Maybe that's another thing I can learn about in the book" Just when she said that, my mind was starting to get fucked.
'Impossible! I can't be on a different world! Maybe I am still dreaming' I thought.
Twilight's horn glowed and she vanished with a poof. I turned to look at Fluttershy. She had a confused, scared-ish look.
"Alright Fluttershy, first question. Am I dreaming?"
