"Ouch!"
Twilight Sparkle looked at the statue she had just ran into.
Today was the first day of a new term and she had been transferred into Canterlot High due to her mother's insistence. However she has always been home-schooled so her social skills were lacking to say the least. So focused in the book she was reading, Necrosis and the other arts of the Arcane, that she had ran into the statue.
"Stupid statue..."
She stood up, dusting off herself and the book she got a good look at her school and the statue. The statue was of a stallion, rearing up on its hind legs. It seemed to be made out of a marble. as for the school it was almost like a university, or some sort of castle.
"Oh, hello there."
Twilight blinked at hearing the quiet voice behind her, turning around she saw a girl around her age with long pink hair.
"Um, hello?"
The girl's eyes widened at the sight of her, growing excited and happy.
"Oh Twilight! Its so good to see you again."
Twilight's eyebrow rose a little. "Excuse me, do I know you?"
"Oh, um sorry I guess not." The girl then quickly left throwing one last glance over her shoulder at Twilight.
"Weird, how did she know my name?" Shaking her head she quickly entered the school. Students were milling about in the foyer and hallways. Taking out the paper she was using as a bookmark Twilight looked over her schedule.
"Huh, ok so the first we have... music? Why did mom sign me up for this?"
Shaking her head and lifting her backpack back up, Twilight looked around. Seeing a award case she moved closer to see what they might have earned. She knew from her research that the school was prestigious but seeing them close up would be best.
Shelves of trophies, plaques and pictures reside within the glass case.
"Lets see, baseball, orchestra, football, DJ, soccer, choir, band, rock, track oh man there are so many!" Twilight felt nearly overwhelmed by the shear number of awards.
"So many of these are music based." Twilight smiled, "OK, time to find my class."
Asking a student by the name of Trixie she leaned that all students have to take at least one music class a year.
"And now all you must do is fallow Trixie's directions, down that hall and the second one on your left is the music master's room. Just talk to him and you will be in good hands."
"Thank you."
Fallowing her directions it took only three minutes to finally find the correct room.
"Hello my dear, how may I help you?"
The man in the room she had just entered was well groomed and kept.
"Um, hello. My name is Twilight Sparkle and I just transferred in. I was wondering if you could help me find out where I'm suppose to go?"
"Ah, a new student I see! Well my name is Fancypants and my dear you get to decide on where you go."
She tilted her head, confused. "I do?"
"Why yes! let us just see. A quick little test will do wonderfully!"
Twilight froze. "A-a t-t-test?"
He frowned looking at her. "Is everything alright dear?"
"B-but I-i-i haven't studied!"
Fancypants chuckled. "Don't worry, its just a short, pop- psych test. Nothing to big my dear."
"O-oh OK." Fancypants pointed her to a desk on the other side of his office.
A short while later Twilight put down her pin and looked around. The white walls and instruments hanging on them. The pictures on the few desks.
"Alright my dear lets see." She handed the paper to Fancypants. A quick glance he smiled.
"Well, you have three choices: singer, electric guitar and electric violin."
Twillight's eyes widened. "How did?"
He gave a small smirk. "We have already done a physical and your previous tests added to this is the psychological test you just completed it is quite easy for me to see your potential. You can say it is my special talent. Sadly however," And his face grew serious.
Twilight swallowed the lump in her throat. Was something wrong with her? Did she do something wrong? Was she going to be kicked ou-
"You cannot physically dance nor do you have any necessary coordination for such a endever."
"Oh... Kay?" So he wasn't going to kick her out or anything.
"Well, what would you like to learn? I am also your councilor and so I have control over what extra classes you will have. we have eight periods a day and three of them must be Articulate Sciences, Governmental, and at least one music or dance class."
"Um, do you have a occult research class? Or an advanced reading course?" Twilight said sheepishly.
Fancypants only smiled. "Of course my dear, that's four courses, your allowed one study hall period if you'd like and that leaves your three music classes if you wish for them?"
"Yes! Thank you so much sir."
He merely nodded his head before turning to his computer and typing for a few minutes. The copy machine spit out a new schedule, which he took and handed to her.
"Alright my dear you have Solo/Song writer practice first period, second is the governmental class. Third period you have electric guitar fallowed by Occult research and history, advanced reading and writers course fallowing this you have study hall ending with electric violin. Does this sound reasonable?"
"Well, I guess."
"Very good then you should go and see your new teachers just to be safe." He said with a wink.
After leaving the room Twilight looked at her new schedule. "Okay, first is my song practice in room 801 hallway B, Miss Soft Note."
On her way however she was met by a surprising sight. A group of five people talking in the middle of the hall. What was surprising was that girl with long pink hair. She seemed to be quietly talking to the others. One with curly pink hair, or... well everything about her screamed pink from her clothes to her shoes was bouncing excitedly rapidly talking. She was calmed by another girl. This one seemed like a jock, in fact Twilight remembered seeing her picture on several track and Soccer awards.
A blond one took off her stetson sighing as the last with well kept purple hair put her two sense in. Of course at this time twilight tripped on her shoe lace alerted everyone to her presence.
She looked up with a sheepish grin.
"Um, hi?"
"Why darling are you alright? Oh, my name is Rarity." She held out her hand which Twilight accepted, getting pulled up to her feet.
"Yeah, I'm just..."
"Don't worry bout that Suger, my names Applejack by the way."
"Yo! Names Rainbow, don't forget it."
The Pink hared one she met earlier shyly held out her hand for a handshake.
The hyper one could no longer hold it all in.
"Hiya names Pinkie Pie, this is Fluttershy and it's so great to finally meet you! I mean the you from our world because the other Twilight made us all friends again after that meanie Sunset Shimmers made us all mad at each other and we know all about her like shes a pretty pony princess but your from the city, the her from our world and oooo this is going to be so much fun!"
"Wha??"
