Nightmare’s Knights

Solar energy… the ultimate source of all life in the world. It is brought into the sky by its definitive forces and radiates to empower those that bask in its presence. As the sun is part of everyday life, those who benefit from its warmth have become complacent in the consistency that it raises every day.

But consistency is for those of the living world. Those who have a cycle of life which is definitively short compared to the cosmos. Chaos is wrought by those who live outside that cycle of life and death. Ones who exist far beyond than those they dwell among. They are Dark Denizens: The Immortals. Beings of unknown origin and monsters who wreak havoc using Dark magic. Turning their victims into the undead as a form of ‘salvation’ from the pain and suffering of death. They move throughout the Galaxy ‘saving’ those they come across.

And now Immortals have found their way to a new plane of existence: Equestria. A place that was quiet, tranquil, and quaint; now upheaved into a world of chaos as residents attempt to survive the progression of the Immortals and the undead.

Yet, where were the protectors of the land? Those Princesses who were theoretically immortal themselves. Couldn’t they fight back against the onslaught that the foreigners had wrought? Princess Celestia has turned up missing, and, her sister, Princess Luna has abandoned her post to lead Equestria against the inbound threats. Luna’s last act was her nightly raising of the moon, and now Equestria is trapped in the shroud of night with the Dark infection consuming all that stand in its path.

This contamination is new to Equestria and will continue to spread if left unopposed. However, elsewhere on other planes, the Immortals have already seized control of other worlds. Their broods festering and growing awaiting their chance to be unleashed across the galaxy.
