Luna of the Dead
13. Old Friends/Bookends pt. 2
Previous ChapterShe stood there at the top of the hill, watching. How pathetic they were, taking refuge in a train house. She could not actually believe they thought they could escape this. The orange mare who had been there had said she was repairing the train so she could escape. She didn't know where, but with the Night Princess's information about the Crystal Empire, they were to set out soon. She still couldn't stop laughing at the thought. The group of four ponies and a dragon would surely die; it's just about when.
She turned away from the train house, and caste her gaze at the midnight field, glowing under the luminescent moon. Celestia was no longer in the picture, and her clueless sister would not last much longer. This world was going to be her's, and nopony could stop it. She chuckled again, her fangs glimmering in the moonlight. With a quick flapping of her insect-like wings, she took off into the night. "Soon," she thought to her self, "I will be the Queen of this pathetic land."
