Chapter 2

I felt it only fair that I use her own plan against her. With every cycle she helped bring about, she would always hang back and watch as her latest human did his best to come out on top. Knowing exactly what they would face, she never once checked in on Discord or any of the other 'villains'.

This always left me with small windows of opportunity to work with. It took 10 meetings with Nightmare Moon to gain her help. 15 with Chrysalis. And 30 with Discord before I was able to prove my story. Sombra was oddly enough the easiest to recruit, only taking 3 meetings before he agreed.

Each time they were freed to play their part, I'd have a chat with them. Of course I'd have to prove my story, which could usually be done by using my knowledge I'd gained by my past meetings to show them the truth.

Each of their reactions varied, but in the end they agreed to help, out of selfishness or pity it didn't matter.

From Nightmare Moon I received armor of the blackest sort. She assured me that it was strong enough to withstand Celestia's full wrath. It had originally been designed for ponies to wear, but after a few quick spells, I looked like the black knight of legend.

From Crysilisis I received a powerful healant in the form of Celestia's blood. Since it came from an Alicorn, it held powerful healing properties which would come in handy against my fight with Celestia herself.

Sombra, due to his shadow body gave me what he could, but it was more than enough in my opinion. A Shield. Now a physical one, but a magical one. Surrounding my armor now was an aura of what looked like black smoke, shielding my from not only celestia's mental attacks, but her weaker magical ones. I was assured that it would protect me from her levetation spell; a blessing since I'd worried over just how to overcome that spell.

Lastly came Discord. With the elder chaotic gods playful nature and inability to focus for projects for long was a bit of an issue at the beginning, after so many meetings with the being, I had begun to look up to him The old chaotic god had became like a father figgure to me after the many meetings we'd had together. We were as close as father and son back in my own world. Even now whenever I try to imagine my fathers face, I see Discords. While that had initially alarmed me at first, I'd since begun to accept it and even embrace it. Since he had freedom far longer than the others, he was able to teach me more in terms of spell use.

Due to my mundane nature, I would always be at a disadvantage to Celestia in all fields. As an Alicorn she held the strength of an Earth Pony. The speed and agility of a Pegasus. And the magical potential of a Unicorn. My shield would wane if I could not break away from her spells; My armor would break if I could not match her in strength up close; And if I could not improve my speed, any physical advantage I might gain would be pointless as she'd run circles around me.

With all that addressed; Discord, even with all his powers, couldn't make me magical, but he could do the next best thing in his opinion.

Runes.

With every meeting we shared, he'd take his time to carve a rune into my skin. filling it with his own chaotic magic, the perfect counter to Celestia. While I could never really use spells like a regular unicorn, I could now at least stand a chance at beating her. Ever meeting with Discord always began with a rune being carved somewhere on my skin. After all these years, only my face remains uncarved, as Discord went to great lengths to ensure that I would match up to the Princess of the Sun.

Where at one point I struggled to life a hundred pounds, I could life ten times that.

Where Once I could only fifteen miles an hour, I could probably be mistaken for the flash if I ever returned to earth.

And where once I could never hope to compete with Celestia magically, I could at least blast back anything she sent my way.

The only thing missing was to send my message to her and prepare for the plan Discord and myself had created over the years. It had taken everything I had; my body, my health, and even my youth. This wasn't about getting back to my old life anymore, it was now about vengeance and making sure nothing like this ever happened again.

At age 65, I was finally going to put my childhood to rest...
