//-------------------------------------------------------// Am I....Alive? -by Dr Science- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue: The dark //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue: The dark It's dark. All I see is darkness. Everything I see, everything I am is darkness. "It looks like the spell backfired." What was that? A voice? What's a voice? "I believe if we give it some time, it will start taking effect." Who's voice is that? It sounds.........calming. What's sound? What's calm? What is all of this? I don't even know how to describe what's happening to me. What am I? "Princess Luna, I don't think it worked. We should just start over and try again." Princess Luna? Who's that? I've never heard of somebody like that. Well, I've never heard of anybody before. "No Twilight. It has to work. It just can't fail." I could feel a hand brush against my cheek. It felt soft, gentle, comforting. A multitude of sensations I could not possibly describe. I don't even know what a cheek is! Yet, I could feel something on it. I tried to react to the touch, but it felt as though I was being held down by a ton of bricks. Heh. I think that's kinda funny, I don't even know what bricks are! "Luna. I know how much this means to you, but some things aren't meant to be. Even if the spell worked, how would people react to this?" I wondered what this "Twilight" meant about people reacting to whatever she was talking about, but just couldn't think of anything. In fact, all I could really think about was why I felt pressure. "Maybe your right." The voice sighed, I think Luna, is what the other called her. I felt her hand close around something attached to me. I think it was.........my hand! That's it! This "Luna" was holding my hand! "But still.....I wish that she could've come to life." I felt her hand tighten. "I just wish." I felt a few drops of......something hit my cheek. I felt......uneasy? I don't know, but I wanted to feel something else, I didn't like this feeling. I could feel Lunas hand leave mine, at first I didn't care, but I didn't want her touch to leave me. Before she fully let go of her grip, I gently grabbed a few of her fingers. It felt like an eternity of waiting, the only thing I could focus on was her fingers, and the pressure. "H-hello? Can you hear me?" Luna softly, but shakily asked. I responded by tightening my grip. All I could do was wonder what she was thinking in the silence that followed, but before I knew it, I felt a warmth touch my chest. I could feel the a slight, but constant, area of heat surrounding my chin. But all of a sudden, the warmth on my chest left and was replaced by another kind of pressure. It pushed down on the pressure on my chest in a periodic, but hard rhythm. "Twilight, get Doctor Stable here with a defibrillator!" Luna shouted, which was followed by a sort of chiming sound. "Please stay with me my sweet, Stable will be here soon." She said, before I felt something rush down into my middle, quenching the pressure, albeit for a short time. The pressure on my chest continued for what felt like days, Luna mumbling the entire time. But it all stopped when I heard the same chiming from earlier again, which was accompanied by a new voice. "What is the meaning of this, Miss Sparkle?!" The new voice gasped. "I'll explain later, just please, help her Doctor Stable." Twilight pleaded. After a few moments of the silence I was oh so familiar with, I heard a sigh and shuffling. "Please, step back Princess." The voice I know knew as Doctor Stable said. I felt a new pressure on my chest, it was heavier than the pressure from Luna. Then I felt a new sensation, pain. I think that's what it's called, because it felt like thousands of long needles was piercing my middle. It was so intense that all I wanted was for it to stop. And as if by magic, I felt the needles stop, only to feel something rush down my throat again, but this time it caused the pressure to weaken. This process continued for a while until the pressure finally disappeared, but it was replaced by something else. Thump-Thump. Thump-Thump. Thump-Thump. I don't know what it was, but the next thing I knew was the darkness disappearing, being replaced by three beings looking down at me. The one kneeling over was wearing some sort of armor that matched her deep blue hair. The other two were standing a fair distance away from me, the one with purple hair had an expression of fascination while the brown haired one had a look of content. "Well, it looks like my job here is down." The brown haired one, which I recognized as Dr. Stable, said before leaving through some sort of rectangular thing. I looked up at the being kneeling over me, seeing tears in her cyan eyes. "Can you speak?" The being, which I now knew as Luna, asked. I didn't know what speak meant, but I tried doing the same thing I saw her lips doing, feeling my throat move as I tried. "Y-Yes." I hadn't noticed until now that my throat felt very painful. I held a hand to my throat, unable to find the right words to ask for something to help with the pain. I think Luna knew what I was asking for, because a glass holding some sort of liquid floated towards me in a blue aura. I immediately, but delicately, brought the glass to my lips, not knowing what the liquid would do. I was delightfully relieved when the liquid dulled the pain in my throat, along with it quenching a thirst I unknowingly had. "Do you feel better?" Luna asked me. "I looked up to her and gave my answer with a warm smile. "Yes." No sooner had I said that, Luna wrapped her arms around me, causing a sort of warm feeling spread through me. I did the same thing, and felt the warmth increase ten fold. I think I know what to call this feeling. I feel happiness. Author's Note I hope you guys like this. Oh, and if your wondering why it might've sounded a little off is because I'm making it so that the main character doesn't know most things.
