It has been 3 months since ex-military doctor John Trotson served in the battle against the changelings at Prince Shining Armour's wedding. He soon meets Sherlock Hooves, a "consulting detective" who can read anyone like a book. When a series of serial killings happen and all the evidence points to Pinkie Pie, who insists she didn't do it, Sherlock and Trotson must clear Pinkie's name and find the real killer.
