There are no Princesses anymore, there is no Discord, and there isn't an Equestria anymore either. There are only the Dragons and the ponies they rule over. Old stories tell us that Tiamat, the mother of all monsters, returned the creatures she made to the world. But for some reason, she chose to make the dragons differently. A select few were chosen, but the Dragon Lords weren't picked well. They were corrupted by their new found power, spreading across the world and claiming parts of it for themselves. For every land, the Lord that ruled over it was different and ruled over their ponies differently. Some chose to be revered as gods to the ponies, kept alive by their faith and devotion. Others chose to enslave the ponies, keeping their eternal life fueled through the sacrifice of virgin mares. Few chose to hoard riches or tie themselves to a place on the earth that they will protect forever.

Still others prefer not to rule at all, some never asked for what they were forced to chose.

So what happens when a young mare needs the help of one of these dragons? Finding one won't be the issue, it will be convincing the ancient creature to help her for the sake of her friend's life. She knows nothing about this strange dragon hidden in the mountains. Whether she'll be killed or added to his hoard as a trophy, or if she'll be helped at all. She can only hope.

An idea spawned from my random adventures through the internet, if I ever post a chapter, it may be very few that ever get written. Hopefully this doesn't end badly. Also, I need a warning here: THERE MAY BE ADULT CONTENT AT LATER POINTS IN THE STORY there we go. Nothing too bad, but I do plan on having a bit of explicit sexual harassment and gore.
