The trio looked at their most recent kill. A school filly. These things were harder to keep hidden, but not this one. This one had willingly come. The trio was a rather odd group. One was a stallion, with a cutie mark for blood. Another was a Changeling. The last was a filly, with a bloody knife for a cutie mark. Of course, when she was sent to school, the stallion replaced it with a daisy, so it didn't scare ponies.
The stallion was a unicorn, with sapphire eyes. He also had a red coat, and a blue mane. The filly was an earth pony, with a black mane, white coat, and unsettling red eyes. They both had, as you would call it, a british accent. The changeling looked like any other drone. They'd all met by chance, and it had been the best day of their lives.
"So, Ruby," the stallion said, "What's the cover story?"
"Simple." the earth pony replied, "She was here to play with me a bit after school. We say she never showed up."
"Wonderful." the changeling said.
"Next time, you're coming up with the cover story, Immolate." Ruby looked to the stallion.
"Alright, by Dingo after." Immolate said.
"It's getting boring, you know?" Ruby said, "Same kills, over and over. We need something new."
"I don't think we're getting a new ideas anytime soon." Dingo said.
"We need a new partner." Immolate said, "But who?"
"We'll see. I'm going to Sugar Cube Corner, want anything?" Ruby asked.
"Ah, a cupcake. I don't care which kind. Just anything. I swear, something about those, yum." Immolate said.
"I'm fine." Dingo said.
Ruby trotted off to Sugar Cube Corner. When she entered, a certain bubbly pink mare was not there. Ruby heard screams.
"Pinkamena?" Ruby called. She wanted her cookie.
"Oh!" Pinkamena trotted up the stairs, "I was busy making cupcakes. Wanna help?"
"Sure! Immolate wanted one anyway." Ruby followed the pink mare into the basement
"Pinkamena, why is there blood everywhere?" Ruby looked at the walls.
"Batter." Pinkamena answered.
"Pinkamena, I know blood when I see it."
"Why don't you have a seat." as Ruby sat, "Scootaloo! We got another!"
"Already? Wow, I didn't think we'd get to kill for a bit." Scootaloo trotted out of a dark room, carrying a knife.
"Impressive knife, Scootaloo." Ruby said.
"And how would you know an impressive knife, daisy picker?" Scootaloo pointed the knife at her.
"Oh, how hilarious." Ruby said, "You think this is my actual cutie mark? No, mine is far too... disturbing to be shown to regular ponies. Killers, on the other hoof."
"It was you." Pinkamena said, "You're the one who's been stealing our baking material."
"Not just me. I'm willing to offer you a deal. If you untie me."
"Tell us the deal, first." Scootaloo said.
"Well, my friends and I were hoping for... how do I say this? More ponies. More killing techniques." Ruby smiled, "Maybe even expanding our group. Our killing area is small, and yours is huge. How about it?"
"We'd like to speak with the rest." Pinkamena said.
"Alright, if you untie me I'll go get them." Ruby said.
"I'm coming with you." Scootaloo said, "To make sure you don't run off."
"Alright."
"Pinkamena would like a word with you." Ruby said to Dingo and Immolate.
"Is that a changeling?" Scootaloo asked.
"Don't worry, he's on our side." Ruby said.
"Ruby, a word." Immolate said. He led her into the kitchen. "Ruby, what is the meaning of this."
"We needed new killing techniques." Ruby said, "Pinkamena and Scootaloo are killers."
"I'll be the judge of that." Immolate said, 'We'll speak with Pinkamena. Without Dingo."
"Alright!" The ponies headed for Sugar Cube Corner.
"Hello, you must be from Ruby's group." Pinkamena said.
"Yes. Sadly, our last accomplice could not make it. Risk of Royal Guard." Immolate said, getting a confused look from Pinkamena.
"Changeling." Ruby said. Pinkamena nodded.
"So, Ruby said you ran out of ideas." Pinkamena said.
"We did not! Just... got bored." Immolate said in defense, "You want to merge our bloody groups or not?!"
"Alright. But we're going to need a base of operations." Pinkamena pondered, "Somewhere we can live and work."
"Maybe a hidden underground base? Magic can make it easy."
"Sounds great. We'll pack our supplies and belongings. You should do the same." Pinakmema said to her new ally.
Ruby and Scootaloo raced through the halls of their new home. Pinkamena, Immolate, and Dingo unpacked the last of the supplies.
"So, who's the next victim?" Ruby asked Scootaloo when they reached their room.
"Whoever gets pulled next." Scootaloo said, "So that's your real cutie mark? Cool."
"Yeah, Immolate knows a spell." The two fillies talked. Ruby had never actually talked to a filly her age. It was nice. They shared a room, and a bunk bed. Scootaloo also had a cutie mark, a dagger. Ruby and Scootaloo were friends.
"So, how'd you guys come together?" Pinkamena asked Immolate.
"Well, I found Ruby. She'd just killed a pony in rage, earning her cutie mark. She was hiding from the witness. We met Dingo when he tried to kill us." Immolate said.
"You know how that kid sees you, right?" Pinkamena asked, "As a father." Immolate froze.
"No, I didn't notice." Immolate said.
"Don't worry. Scoots and I are like sisters, and we aren't even related."
Back in their room, Scootaloo and Ruby were talking about cutie marks.
"Got mine when I used a dagger for the first time, how about you?" Scootaloo asked.
"Killed a pony." Ruby answered.
"Cool."
"I think it's fun." Ruby laid down on her bed.
"Yeah, it is." Scootaloo said.
