The story mostly takes place 8 years after the events of Equestria Girls when Twilight's human counterpart accidentally stumbles into the portal that leads to Equestria. Unfortunately, the portal closes behind her and now she is stuck in Equestria for 30 moons (about 2.5 years). While Twilight's predicament is going on, her boyfriend, Brad (Flash), is over in Afghanistan fighting as a US Marine. Will Brad come back from the war alive or will Twilight never get back to home?
