According to Ancient Equestrian History, Pegasi, Unicorns, and Earth Ponies all came together to live in harmony many years ago, founding the nation of Equestria, an event celebrated by Hearth's Warming Eve plays. However; what if things weren't as smooth or as simple as that? This story will follow the return of a threat greater than any Equestria would have ever faced before; an army thought to have been vanquished in a bygone era; an army which, compared to the peaceful Kingdom and it's residents which have never known true war for many years, could wreak havoc and possibly even bring down the princess' themselves.

The First few chapters will detail the return of the force in question and develop them as the primary antagonists of the story. Later chapters will begin to grow progressively darker and expect to see violence, hatred, and bloodshed later on. Unlike other certain Fic's which include such elements for the sake of shock value, I intend to tell an Epic story of loss, grief, war, and hope when darkness seems to consume everything entirely.
