One Day

It's been two weeks since the shed incident, Applejack was back, and Braeburn had gone back to Appaloosa, Rainbow Dash acted normal, though inside she was slightly depressed. She didn't want to worry her friends so she didn't show it, though when ever she saw Big Mac, or even Sweet Apple Acres, she just wanted to fly away.

One afternoon the mares met at the Library, "Alright girls, ah have got some news, Braeburn has invited us to go to Appaloosa and celebrate the anniversary of the town's foundin!" Applejack said with a proud smile, everyone seemed eager to go, but Rainbow just put on a weak smile, and said nothing, she wasn't eager to see Braeburn again, not at all, and, Mac was probably coming as well.

"When do we leave?" asked Rarity, the other nodded curious to know as well.

"Tomorrow at the nine A.M train." Applejack said getting up, "Well, ah'm off to get some sleep, ah suggest ya'll do the same." They all nodded and left the Library, Rainbow Dash, was the last the leave, her ears back against her head as she walked out.

Flying up into the sky she flew towards her cloud home, she let out a sigh, "I have to see him again.." she mumbled as she landed outside of her door. Opening the door she trotted in, closing it behind her. She trotted up the stairs and into her bedroom, she went into the bathroom and looked into the mirror. Images of that day flashed through her mind, tears started to roll down her soft cheeks, and splashed onto the cloud floor. Turning around she slowly walked to the bed and got in. Getting under the warm blanket she rested her head on the soft pillow, staring at the wall, deep in thought. She finally drifted off to sleep. She had nightmares of the day, and she had them before, but she thought they would go away by now, obviously she thought wrong.

In the morning she woke up, stretching she got out of bed and went down stairs. SHe got out an apple from the fridge, and poured herself a glass of milk, she wasn't that hungry. She ate the apple, each bite she could hear a crunch, and her mouth filled with the sweet, tart like taste.
After finishing her breakfast she got ready to go, she brushed her mane, teeth, and packed a small bag with a few things she might need, and left out enough food and water for Tank. She then left her house, closing the door behind her, she held the bag in her mouth and she flew down towards the Ponyville train station. Once she got there she saw thatshe and Applejack where the first two there,and she sat down on the bench next to her. "How long have you been here?" she asked.

"Not to long." she said and smiled, "Glad to see you made it here early, ah thought you would have slept in a little more!" she joked and lightly pushed the blue Pegasus.

"I had nightmares." Rainbow replied with a shrug and lightly pushed her back with a slight chuckle, she found it nice to talk to AJ alone again, the friendly competitions these two had were actually quite fun, and she always liked to prove she was the fastest pony in Equestria.

Soon the other ponies and Bic Mac arrived just in time for the train, hopping on the six mares and one stallion began the ride to Appaloosa, Rainbow just stared out the window, and watched the scenery fly by, with an expressionless face. She remembered waking up in the barn and the fight with Braeburn, she really didn't want to see him again, she could care less if he suddenly disappeared.

Her magenta eyes began to droop down as she began to fall asleep. At first she fought it, then she decided to let it win, and that a nap wouldn't hurt. Falling asleep she was happy to not have any nightmares, at the moment, that was the last thing she needed.

A few hours later she woke to see the desert that Appaloosa was in, her eyes widened as she realized that she would have to face him again soon. She glanced back at Big Macintosh, who was talking to Applejack, she shivered at the sight of him. At least Braeburn cared enough to take her to the barn, unlike him.
Thirty minutes later the train stopped and the ponies got out, to be greeted by Braeburn, "Welcome back to AAAAAAppaloosa!" he said with a bright smile as he looked over the ponies, then he got to Rainbow Dash, who was looking away, with a frown on her face. He sighed sadly and looked down before smiling again and took them all to an Inn where they would be staying. When they unpacked in their rooms Braeburn trotted up to Rainbow, who was in her room looking out the window. Walked up behind her he sighed, "Ah am guessin' you don't really want to see me, huh?" he asked and sat down.

"No I don't. And how'd you even get in here?!" she asked not bothering to turn around, she just looked at his reflection instead, not wanting to face him.

"The uh, door was open.." he chuckled and glanced back at the open door.
"Oh.. well.. get out and close it behind you.." she said coldly and closed her eyes, waiting for him to leave, and he did. Hearing the door close to a shut behind her she turned around and walked over to the bed, it was already dusk, and she decided it was time to get some rest. After all, she wanted to be well rested and prepared to react if Braeburn tried anything.
