a thousand years ago

"Princess Celestia!" a sweet voice called as she walked into her throne room

"twilight sparkle my faithful student" celestia replied as twilight came up to her and gave her a hug

"why did you call me here?" Twilight asked curiously

"i wanted to tell you the story about what happened to my dear sister princess luna" celestia explained

"wait but didn't turn into nightmare moon and all?" Twilight asked curiously while she tilted her head a little confused

"yes twilight but i want to tell you how that happened" celestia replied seriously

"ok" twilight replied calmly as she sat down next to her teacher and mentor princess celestia, even though twilight only had become a princess of magic, and have gotten her wings to be an alicorn she still is a little uncomfortable wearing her crown

"now let me tell you how it all happened" celestia replied

"it was over one thousand years ago just a few months after we defeated discord....." celestia replied as she started the story and the flashback.

princess luna has just raised the moon and is currently standing out side on one of the balconies when they were still living at the place of the royal sister ponies when princess celestia came out on the balcony, "your night looks so beautiful tonight luna, im very happy" celestia said happily as she stood next to her sister

"you might be happy....but what about the others? what they all seem to do is to bathe in your precious light!" Luna replied angrily and saddened while tears started to well up in her eyes

"s-sister?!" Celestia replied surprised and confused as she saw her sister act like this because she has never seen her sister cat this way before

"J-JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!" Luna replied angrily as tears start to come out of her

"b-but" Celestia replied as tears started to well up in her eyes as well

"JUST GO!" Luna yelled loudly as she continued to cry then the other young princess celestia flew off crying because she didn't understand why luna was acting so strange, then as the older sister flew off to her room the other young sister luna started to get jealous of her older sister as no other pony else paid any attention to her beautiful night and she started to want to take the throne for her very own then she walked to the throne room and stood behind the throne, to wait for her older and more important sister to arrive when celestia is in her bedroom crying and have know idea is going on with her sister that she loves so much as a dark force starts to take over the young one's mind with anger, hate, jealousy, and wanting revenge on all pony kind, as soon as the older sister came into the throne room rubbing her eyes with her hoof her younger sister came form behind the throne and said angrily

"DID YOU REALLY EXPECT ME TO STAND IDLY BY WHILE THEY ALL BATHED IN YOUR PRECIOUS LIGHT THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE PRINCESS IN EQUESTRIA AND THAT PRINCESS SHALL BE ME!" After she said those lines a dark purple mist started to surround her as she was surrounded by the dark mist the older sister could see fear on the little ones face before it completely corrupted her and completely transformed her into a tall dark alicon with huge wings her body color as black as her night and a horn as tall as her sisters and she was called nightmare moon

"MUHAHAHA!!!!!!" Nightmare moon evil laughed as the older sister just stood there completely shocked and scared as she saw the first appearance of nightmare moon  then she vanished by turning into a dark purple mist and as she disappeared the older one collapsed in fear and confusion and some of the guards came rushing in to the throne room where the saddened older sister was on floor crying to see that her only sister was transformed into a monster when one of the guards came to the aid of princess celestia then he asked

"what happened princess?"

then he helped her up making sure that the young one was ok "m-my sister was turned into a-a m-monster" celestia stuttered as she shakes her body scaredly and still has no idea what happened to her at all

"it took her this long for the nightmare forces to change her..." the guard said to his self as he continued to hold celestia up as she continue to shake her body scaredly and sadly as the current events shocked her and then she said shuttering

"w-we have to find a way to bring my s-sister back"

"I know but how?" The guard asked seriously

"there has to be something in the library!" Celestia replied as she stood up not being scared  anymore and started to fly towards it

"w-wait for me!" The guard replied as he raced after the princess

as the princess and one of her guards run and fly towards the library the other guards are starting to look outside the castle for nightmare moon and her starting to grow forces the nightmare forces, now as the two got to the library the guard started to look for a book that had the answer to the question that they were looking for with his unicorn magic, and the princess was doing the same thing but also using her wing to get to the higher shelves but then

"i think i found something princess!" The guard yelled as he pulled out the book that titled the mystery of the of the elements of harmony then the placed it on a table and the both of them started to read it

"look it says here that there are six elements kindness, loyalty, laughter. generosity, honesty. and there is a six one is un known" the guard read to the princess out loud

"of course the elements of harmony! why didn't i think of that sooner come on...um what you name?" Celestia replied happily while asked

"my name is platinum archer" platinum replied as he picked up the book and put it back where it belonged

"well then platinum let go to the element room!" Celestia replied as she opened her pure white wings and started to fly off towards the room

"w-wait!" Platinum yelled as he started to race after her again, then as they got to the room the elements were missing

"THE ELEMENTS THEY'RE GONE!" Celestia yelled in shock as she saw that the elements were missing
