Respect
Hate and Arrogance
Load Full StoryI couldn’t believe my eyes. I was, literally, on cloud nine. I looked down at the ponies from high above the clouds. I could see Pinkie bouncing around Ponyville Square, and Fluttershy guiding the ducklings to the pond.
And I saw Trixie. Trixie, her eyes glinting with pride, her baby blue coat shining in the sunlight. She was accountable for this entirely magical experience. I couldn’t help but lose my focus when I saw her. The glow drained from my tiny horn, and I fell flat to the ground, but not before Trixie got me. I forced my eyes open. I wasn’t surrounded in a blue glow, but a purple one instead. Trixie?
I scanned my surroundings. Trixie’s proud eyes were now overflowing with hatred as she glared straight at Twilight. Twilight! It was Twilight! The purple alicorn slowly lowered me down to the rough ground.
“Trixie.”
“Twilight.”
“We meet again.”
“Indeed.”
A crowd had already gathered around the ponies. And I was smack in the centre.
“Please don’t fight! Trixie, let’s go!” I yelled.
“You don’t understand. This is more than what you think it is,” Trixie replied, her gaze still fixed on Twilight.
“Sweetie, this is serious business. You’d better go. Now.”
I was torn. I was just a filly. Twilight was a princess. I couldn’t disobey her orders. But Trixie was…my teacher. I had so much respect for Trixie. I couldn’t just let Trixie die in Twilight’s hands. It was understood that Twilight’s magic could only have been overpowered by Celestia and Luna. Trixie was no match for her.
“You can’t do this. Trixie! Trixie! Get out!” I felt like sobbing.
“You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain,” she replied.
“NO! Trixie, come back to me! Please!”
Twilight remained silent. Trixie was taken by the hatred. She wasn’t going to come back, and so was Twilight. Twilight was overcome by arrogance.
“Sweetie, you don’t think that I…care…right? Trixie is going to go away today, and never come back,” she raised an eyebrow.
Twilight was a creature of hatred. A changeling.
