a boy with fangs and mischief in his eyes

why am I doing this?twilight thought as she walked through the muddy street,looking for a...well she didn't know what it was;no one did.she glanced right,and saw a figure crouched down in an alleyway. she went to confront it,only to have it disappear as soon as she got close to it.

"must have just been my imagination..."she mused. then she heard a growl behind her. she spun around to face the source of the noise; a short quadrepedal creature in a dark blue jacked,hood pulled over his eyes,ready to pounce on her at a moment's notice.

"uh...h-h-hello?"asked twilight,fear making her voice quiver."I-I'm twilight sparkle,student of princess celestia..."then he pounced. he landed on top of her,his smirking.mischiefous, face mere inches away from her shocked and terrified one.

"tag,you're it."the strange creature said,right before leaping onto a roof and disappearing into the night.

"what just happened" twilight asked nopony in particular.
