An errand for the Princess that goes deep into the Everfree Forest turns sideways for Twilight Sparkle when she finds herself suddenly trapped in an asylum in a dark alternate universe where the only way to survive is to escape.
With the help of five other ponies that parallel her friends, Twilight struggles to return to her own universe, but even the world she knows is not at all what it seems...
