Another Day
Chapter two:
Previous ChapterSunlight poured into Fluttershy’s room. It was a cool, fresh light, that sent her mane into a shimmer as it fell across her face. The light brushed past her bed and fell across her dresser, scattering a thousand tiny rainbows across her room as the light refracted inside several bottles of perfume; yet another gift from Rarity.
When Fluttershy had finally opened her eyes to the dawn, the light seemed dull. The light shown but Fluttershy pulled her eyes away, aware of something out-of-place to the normal furnishings of her room. Angel wasn’t in bed anymore.
She sat up in bed, scanning the room for him. He wasn’t on the bed, or the rug below, or even in his pet bed in the corner of the room; the bedroom door, however, was slightly ajar. Fluttershy assumed he must have gotten impatient waiting for her to wake up and somehow managed to open the door by himself.
Fluttershy got out of bed, put her slippers on, and trotted downstairs to find Angel. As she descended the stairs a couple birds squeezed out of their houses hung over the stairwell and chirped good morning to her. As she reached the landing she was met with a similar chorus of animal chatter as all the squirrels and birds greeted her. Just about every animal in her house was awake and happy to see her; every one except Angel, which Fluttershy didn’t see anywhere inside her living room.
“Good morning dearies” Fluttershy greeted back as she trotted to a nearby birdhouse and looked inside. “I’ll feed you all in just a moment, I just need to find Angel first. He wasn’t upstairs when I woke up and-”
Flutterhsy felt a slight tug on her mane and looked down to see a chipmunk clutching a tuft of it in his claws.
“Oh hello there little guy.” Fluttershy knelt down. “[says somehting]?”
The chipmunk pointed down a hallway that lead into the kitchen and tried to pull Fluttershy by the mane in that direction.
