//-------------------------------------------------------// Prism and Glimmer -by Dragon Genesis- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Royal Twins //-------------------------------------------------------// Royal Twins Prisim hid behind the couch, trying to be as quiet as possible.  Beside her was her sister, Glimmer.  She was in the same position, ready to pounce.  The five year old filly pushed her rainbow mane out of her eyes and focused on what was on the other side of the couch.  She spread out her wings and looked at her sister.  The two silently counted to three before jumping up and over. Before they could reach their targets, they stopped in mid-air, held by a purple aura.  The two were brought in front of their parents who smiled at the two shocked fillys.  They both were brought to one of the parents. "You know that we will be hard to sneek up on." said the lavender alicorn.  She was their mother, Twilight.  But this isn't the weirdest part. "Besides, you still tend to giggle a lot when you're up to something.  This was said by a cyan earth pony with a rainbow mane.  Her cutie mark was of a rainbow lightening bolt that came from a cloud, a cutie mark found on pegasi.  The twins never got why an earth pony had a pegasi cutie mark.  This was their other mother, Rainbow Dash.  Yet another pegasi name. "Why do you guys have to be so hard to surprise?" asked Glimmer.  The white unicorn filly crossed her hooves, her purple mane fell over her blue eyes.  Twilight set Glimmer next to her, Prisim by Rainbow. "We just are, I guess.  A lot has happened to us over the last ten years and your mother and I have learned to expect things."  She nuzzled Glimmer.  "But there has always been suprises.  You two, in some sense, were a surprise."  Glimmer smiled and nuzzled against her mother, Prisim doing the same to Dash.  Twilight looked at the clock and sighed. "Rainbow, do you mind heading down to the school and getting these two registered?  Celestia, Luna, and I have court in an hour.  Some issue that needed all of our attention."  Twilight sighed, lifting up Glimmer and moving her so she could stand.  "I'm going to go take a shower and get dressed."  Rainbow stood up and gave Twilight a quick kiss. "Alright, don't take too long.  The girls are coming over sometime today."  Twilight nodded and walked into the bathroom.  Rainbow motioned for the two fillies to follow her. "Mommy, why do we have to go to school?"  Rainbow snorted. "Because, you can get smart and be cool like your mother.  Well, she had some better luck, but going to school gives you a chance to meet friends, earn your cutie mark, and learn awesome things."  She frowned and looked over at them.  "Now, I know school won't start for a few more weeks, but I want you to keep in mind that while you are there you must pay complete attention." "Why?" asked Prisim. "I don't want you to be like me.  I want you to be smart, intelligent mares some day.  Especially you." she said, looking at Prisim. "Me?" asked Prisim, not sure why her mother focused on her. "Yes, you.  If you're anything like me you will end up getting cocky and brash and will drop out.  Now, this will not happen, right?"  Glimmer stepped forward. "Mommy, we haven't even started school yet."  Rainbow Dash rubbed the back of her head. "Yeah, well, I worry.  That's all." "Rainbow Dash?  Worry?  I would never think that possible."  Rainbow turned to see an alabaster unicorn with a dark purple mane.  She was followed by a orange earth pony, an energetic pink pony, and a timid yellow Pegasus.  Rainbow's eyes lit up as she saw the four. "Well, Rarity, I tend to surprise.  Its good to see you guys again.  With Twilight's duties and these two." she said, motioning at the two fillies you were behind her.  "We tend to get busy."  The orange earth pony walked over to her and put a hoof on her shoulder. "It still wouldn't hurt y'all ta send a letter to us sometimes."  Rainbow blushed and scratched the back of her head. "Yeah.  Sorry, but you guys might have to wait a bit.  Twilight has an important meeting to attend to and I need to get these two registered at one of Canterlot's elementary schools.  There is one near the castle so I might put them there." "Oh I here the education here is just wonderful!  You just have to watch out for the children of all the sno-" Rarity was cut off by Applejack glaring at her.  Rainbow sighed. "Yeah.  But these two will get through it, no sweat.  Right?" she asked, looking down at her daughters.  The two fillies smiled at their mother and nodded.  Rainbow ruffled their manes.  Rarity looked at Glimmer before turning back to Rainbow. "Rainbow, I always meant to ask, but why does Glimmer have a solid mane colour unlike you and Twi?  I didn't know either of you had solid mane colour in your family." "That's my mom's side of the family.  While my dad had rainbow, mom had solid blue.  I contributed on the pegasi and mane colour, Twilight the unicorn and cleverness."  Rainbow looked out the window outside at the sun.  It was almost at its zenith and registration closed at two.  "Well girls, there are rooms prepared for you.  Go back to our room and ask one of the gaurds to bring you to them.  Make sure to tell them I sent you.  They can be really strict."  With that, Rainbow took the two fillies down the hall. __________________________________________________________________ Rainbow held the take-home paperwork in her mouth.  The two fillies layed down on her back, slowing her down a bit.  She smiled at the two's enthusiasm at seeing their school and classroom.  They were soon tired and now fast asleep. She nudged open the door to the small living room in her and her family's quarters.  Twilight and the others were sitting down and talking as she walked in.  Twilight stood up and helped her tuck in the twins before joining the others. "The twins were a lot of work, I take it?" said Twilight as Rainbow sat down, groaning as she did. "They weren't much trouble, but I think they threw out my back."  Applejack gave a small laugh for she knew how that felt like. "Well, now we got a few other things about."  Rainbow sighed and looked back at the twin's room. "Like we don't worry about them, enough." //-------------------------------------------------------// First day of school //-------------------------------------------------------// First day of school           "Do you have paper?" asked Twilight, checking to make sure the two fillies had everything the needed.           "Yes, Mom" sighed the twins.           "Pencils?"           "Yes."          "Lunches?"          "Yes."         "Note for the teacher?"          "Yes, Mom.  Can we go now?"  Twilight chuckled before fiddling the twin's manes.          "Just behave you two.  We don't want to get a letter from your teacher unless it's saying how awesome you two are doing in school."  Rainbow Dash got off the couch, sensing Twilight was done being OCD over the twins.         "Alright you two, lets go."  The twins walked over to Dash.  Rainbow gave Twilight a quick kiss on the cheek.  "Be back soon, Twi."  Twilight kissed her and let the three be off.         Rainbow lead the two eager fillies down the castle halls, trying not to trip over them when they jumped in front of her.  She smiled at the fillies excitement for going to school, it's more then she was when she started school.        "Do you think we'll make tons of friends, momma?" asked Prisim, looking up at her.       "I bet you will be friends with everypony in school.  Who wouldn't like you?" she nuzzled the twins.  "Now hurry up, lets not be late on the first day."  The twins nodded and followed their mother as she took them out of the castle and torwards the school.          There wete tons of other fillys and colts running into the school or saying good-bye to their parents.  Rainbow stopped the two outside of the building.         "Now, you two better be on your best behavior and not cause the teacher any trouble.  Be nice to others and treat others the way you want to be treated.  Now go and have fun you two.  If you guys are good, we might even sneak some ice cream from Auntie Celestia's kitchen."  The twins beamed and hugged their mother before running into the building.  She smiled as she watched the two run in there.          Prisim and Glimmer looked around their new classroom.  It was more modern since it was dead center in Canterlot.  The desks were designed to be more comfortable than the ones you would find in other schools.  While not much was in the room, it still gave a feel that made the twins glad they came.          If only the feeling could last.           The two sisters found seats in the front of the class, right in front of the teacher.  The fillys set their saddle bags under their seats and sat patiently for school to start.         A purple earth pony with a light blue mane sat down next to Prisim, a pink pegasus sat down next to her.  The purple one pointed at Prisim's hair and started whispering to the pink one.  The two then started laughing, the purple one still pointing at Prisim.         Prisim noticed and fought the urge to tell the earth pony to shut her mouth.  Glimmer noticed and put a hoof on Prisim's shoulder.  She shook her head.         "No, Dashie.  Momma said we have to behave.  Besides, Auntie Celestia wouldn't like it if we got in trouble either."  Prisim calmed down and went back to staring at the front of the room.  The two other fillys, though, heard what Glimmer said and started whispering again, looking back at the twins occasionally.  "Though it wouldn't hurt if those two shut up." she muttered, just enough for Prisim to hear.       The bell then rang and all the fillys and colts ran to find a seat.  Once they were all seated, a white earth pony with a blue mane walked into the classroom.  The mare smiled brightly at the children.  Her cutie mark was two smiling faces.  The made went and stood behind the desk before starting.          "Hello, children, my name is Smiling Flower and I am your teacher for the year.  Now, to help everyone get to know each other, you will walk up to the front of the class and tell us your name a little about yourself when you are called up.  Lets start over here."  Prisim and Glimmer sat paitently as they waited for their names to get called.       "Raincloud."  The pink pegasus. from earlier stood up and walked in front of the class.        "My name is Rancloud and my parents work with weather pegasi.  My parents allow me to go anywhere I want at the factories."  Prisim rolled her eyes and put her head in her hoof.  Next up was the purple earth pony.  She walked up with her head held high, acting like she was royalty herself.  Prisim scoffed and turned to her sister.          "She acts like she is personal friends with Celestia." she whispered Prisim.  Glimmer put over her mouth and giggled.  This earned a glare from the earth pony.           "My name is Ruby Moon and my parents work in the castle.  Sometimes my parents will let me walk around the castle with them."  Glimmer laughed and rolled her eyes.           "Yeah right."  Ruby glared at her.          "How would you know?"  Prisim stood up, Glimmer following her.          "Well it IS our turn so sit down and we will tell you."  Ruby frowned and sat back down, staring at them the whole way.         "My name is Prisim Dash and this is my twin sister, Glimmer Sparkle."  Glimmer's last name got a few gasps.  Glimmer continued for her.        "The reason why I say it's hard to believe Ruby is even allowed to walk around the halls is because we never see her.  Our parents are Rainbow Dash and Princess Twilight Sparkle."  Glimmer allowed a smirk as Ruby's mouth dropped.         "Rainbow Dash is a filly name, is she a mare."  Prisim nodded.  "Well, does she work with the weather patrol as well?"  Glimmer cocked her head.         "Why would mommy work in the weather patrol?  She's a earth pony, silly."  Smiling Flowers frowned.  She could have sworn she heard the name before as well.  She thought she heard her cousin, Cheerilee, mention her a few times.         "Well, do you have any other sibilings?" she asked, trying something.  Prisim smiled and nodded.        "Uh-huh!  She's this cool Pegasus named Scootaloo!  She's in high school."  Smiling put a hoof to her mouth as she realised why the twins said their mother was a earth pony.  Chevrolet once told her that one her students named Scootaloo had a foster mother who had wing cancer.  She said she had a week but in some sort of miracle, the branching cancer was killed off and her wings were removed.          "Oh yes, now that's where I remember her name."  Prisim cocked her head.         "From where?"  Smiling stuttered.        "uh...um...from her reputation in Ponyville.  My cousin who lived there told me about her a few times.  Shed Ben taught your sister.  Now why don't you two sit down so we can continue."  The twins nodded and walked back to their seats.  She would have to keep an eye on those two.  They were practically royalty, daughters of filly foolers and their mother was an ex-pegasi.  Her name was enough to indicate that.  They were perfect targets for bullies, no matter their statues.         Prisim and Glimmer sat down and watched the next filly go up.  Ruby and Raincloud glared at them.  Ruby smiled and leaned back, facing Raincloud.         "They're abomination children.  Their parents are filly foolers.  You know what that means."  She was quiet enough that the teacher couldn't hear, but the twins could.        "Yeah." said Raincloud.  "They are freaks.  And look at their mother's name.  I bet you she was a Pegasus at one time."  Prisim was really considering yelling at them, but Glimmer held her back even though she was shaking in anger herself.         "What do you think happened?" asked Ruby, pretending to be interested.  Raincloud scoffed.         "Ha, that's easy.  she caught a disease from being a filly foolers and they fell off."  And there went the line.  obliterated by the two.  Prisim stood up, Glimmer right next to her.  There was a fire of rage in their eyes.          "You shut up!  You don't know anything you jerk!" yelled Prisim.          "Just because our parents are like yours has nothing to do with why our mom has no wings anymore!" added Glimmer.  The two ran out of the classroom, crying before Miss Smiling could stop them.        "The twins ran back into the castle, learning concerns glances from the guards.  They ran through the halls before they ran into Aunt Celestia.  Celestia looked down at the two twins clinging to her hooves, crying.  She knelt down and hugged the two.          "There there.  What's wrong?  You two should be in school."  Prisim looked up at her.  Her eyes were more red from crying.          "Two fillys were saying th-that mommy lost her wings b-b-because she is a filly fooler.  They were so mean, Auntie Tia!"  Celestia hushed the twins.  She levatated the two onto her back.         "Come now, we should find your parents." ________________________________________________________________________        Was walking back to her living quarters in the castle.  She was pulled out of court by a guard saying that there was an important matter she needed to attend to back at her quarters.  Twilight blushed a bit before exiting.  She hoped that this wasn't Rainbow trying to get her out for sexy time again.  She didn't mind but the paperwork pulled up fast.         She opened the doors to her quarters, ready to tell Rainbow to stop pulling her out of court just for sex.  She stopped when she saw Celestia and Rainbow sitting down in the living room.  Dash had her front legs crossed and looked really pissed.  The twins sat in Celestia's lap, crying their eyes out.         "What happened?" she asked, looking at the twins.        "They were bullied to the point of tears before class could even start." said Rainbow, scowling at the floor like it did something wrong.         "About what?" she asked, not sure how they could get info to bully with so early.  Rainbow kept her gaze on the floor and pointed a hoof to her back.  Twilights eyes grew wide.  "They didn't!"         "They did."       "How did they-"       "Seriously Twilight.  How many earth ponies do you see with a pegasi name?  They were asked tell something about themselves nd they brought us up like any foal would.  They did nothing wrong.  Just those two little jerks."  Twilight sighed and sat next to Rainbow.       "We knew this was going to happen.  I mean, Luna and Trixie got bashed when they came out and got married.  We got bashed when got married.  Its just fate's twisted mind working that our daughters are bashed for having lesbian parents.  No one can help it."  She kissed Rainbow.  "Now calm down."         Rainbow smiled and nuzzled against Twilight.  She loomed up her daughter's and motioned for them to join.  The four of them sat there in each others brace.  Celestia smiled.        "Now, to cheer you up we will go down and raid Tia's ice cream, alright?  As for school tomorrow, I will come with you Andy talk to your teacher.  Maybe I can get her to move those meanies."  The twins beamed and hugged Rainbow.   Prisim looked up her.          "Mom, why did you loose your wings?"  Rainbow layed her head back.         "A year before you were born, I went to the hospital and found out I had a terminal case of wing cancer and had a week to live.  Luckly, your mother, Twilight, was able to create a spell that got rid of the cancer up to the source.  I still had to loose my wings but I would have removed the myself if I got to be with her again."         "Do you miss flying?" asked Glimmer.         "A bot, yes.  I was the best flyer in Equestria!  No one could fly faster than me!  While I had to give that up along with being a Wonderbolt, I don't regret it."         "You were almost a Wonderbolt?!" asked Prisim, her eyes wide.        "Yep.  I still help out with the recruits at the academy sometimes.  I actually got to be one for a day."  The two fillys eyes grew big in awe.        "Awsome!"  Rainbow chuckled at the two.        "Now run down to the kitchens, I'll be there soon."  The two jumped up and ran down the hall.  Shet turned torwards Twilight.  "I'm goin to treat them.  You try to figure out this mess."  She followed the two fillys down the hall.  Once whew as.gone, Celestia turned to Twilight.      "Doesn't she know there is a way to get back her wings?" asked Celestia.  Twilight smiled.      "I think she wouldn't care.  I could be wrong, but I think she is happy just the way she is." //-------------------------------------------------------// Chat with a not so happy princess //-------------------------------------------------------// Chat with a not so happy princess      Twilight and Rainbow walked up to the school, the twins on their backs.  Since they were just talking to the teacher, she hadn't put on her crown and told her guards to stay back about half a block.  As they approached, they were watched by everyone.      "You know, I miss the days when we weren't watched and bowed to everything we went somewhere." said Twilight.  Rainbow chuckled.      "Yeah.  We are the pretty popular filly foolers.  Trixie and Luna are the same.  We are all kinda in the same boat.  Except, neither of them had to carry twins for ten months."  Twilight giggled.  She nuzzled up against Rainbow's side.       "You were always a tough one.  You can also be really stubborn."  Rainbow scoffed.      "Pfft, I'm not stubborn."  Twilight looked at her and Rainbow rolled her eyes.  "Fine, maybe a little stubborn."  Twilightra used her head in triumph.  She then casted a look back at the castle.      "You know, it's a good thing Celestia kept the twins bullying a secret from Trixie and Luna."  Rainbow nodded.       "Why?" asked Prisim.  Rainbow chuckled.       "While Twixie changed a lot, her temper is the same.  It doesn't help when indirect family is insulted.  This, in many cases, will lead to Trixie scaring little fillys.  Luna will more than likely back her up since we helped her out greatly in the past."        "You did?" asked Glimmer.  Rainbow sighed and turned her head torwards her.      "You two love to play twenty questions, don't you?  I got one.  Do you see the bullies from yesterday?"  The twins scanned the school yard before pointing to two fillys walking into the school followed by a unicorn couple and a pegasus couple.  Twilight and Rainbow followed but stopped outside of the room.       "Why do we have to wait for the other parents?  It's just to children and I don't see why we have to wait for them unless they are the Princess and her wife." said a voice.       "Careful, you may be right."  The six turned to see Twilight and Rainbow enter.  They bowed, while the two fillys started to back away.  They were caught in a purple aura and brought face to face with Twilight Sparkle, one of the most powerful beings in Equestria.       "I think you owe an apology."  The two hung their heads before looking up at the twins.       "We're sorry for bullying you." said Ruby.  Twilight shook her head.       "You're forgetting someone."  The two fillys winced but the parents looked at her in confusion.        "Forgetting someone?" said a unicorn stallion, confused.  "Who else could they possibly forgive."        "Well, since they broached the very sensitive subject of my wife being a pegasi with no wings, they decided to use that and the fact we are gay to their advantage.  I believe it was losing them to an STD, am I right?"  The parents looked at theft illusion, horrified, as they nodded.  "Now, I think my wife could use an apology."  The scared fillys liked into Rainbow's eyes, her gaze cold and bore into the fillys.  They shrank back before continuing.       "We are sorry, Miss Dash.  We didn't mean to male fun of your wings."  Rainbow nodded.  She leaned forward to the fillys, her gaze now soft.        "Its alright.  I suppose you learned your lesson.  Don't jump to conclusions with out knowing the story.  Yes, it was a disease, but it was cancer.  Now I'm alive, have a beautiful wife and two wonderful children.  You can understand school will be difficult, so please be nice to them."  The two nodded and they were brought back to the ground.      "Now we must be off.  I have to go to court and Rainbow needs to take Scootaloo to the Wonderbolts academy.  She made a promise.  Now you two be good." said Twilight, setting down the twins.  Prisim frowned.       "Because you have school and it wouldn't be fair to Glimmer.  You and Twilight can walk on clouds same with me and Scootaloo, but she can't.  Now behave."  She turned and left, Twilight behind her.  The stallion laughed and shook his head.     "Those two are something, alright." //-------------------------------------------------------// And still it continues.. //-------------------------------------------------------// And still it continues..      Rainbow Dash has been many things to Scootaloo.  Idol, mentor, sister, and now mother.  Their bond has grown over the years.  Rainbow remembered when she told Twilight how she better take care of her or she would kick her flank.  This was actually on their wedding day.  Thankfully, they have gotten along with each other perfectly.       Scootaloo was in her senior year of high school and Rainbow Dash giggled as she watched the eighteen year old jump around like a little school filly.  She swore if her smile got any bigger, her face would rip in half.       Rainbow was asked if she had any children she wanted to bring to work.  Scootaloo was at the top since she was in her final year, so one missed day wasn't bad, and she didn't have the same problems as the twins were having.  So now the two stood in front of the Wonderbolt academy.  One ex-Pegasus, and one overly hyper Pegasus.  It was a sight.        "I wonder when you two would show up."  The two looked up as Spitfire flew down.  Scootaloos mouth dropped open and Rainbow chuckled.         "Sorry, had some issues with the twins that needed to be handled with and it's not exactly a quick trip here either."  She sighed and shook her head.  "Its been five almost six years and I still miss my wings here and there.  You would think I would stop hitching by now."  The two laughed.  They started to walk into the building but Scootaloo stood where she was, staring off into space. "Scoots, you just going to stand there?"  Scootaloo shook herself out of her trance and ran after the two.  Rainbow Dash looked in the cafeteria and frowned. "Fresh meat, I'm guessing?" she asked Spitfire nodded. "Yep.  Sorting out the newbies.  Your favorite." joked Spitfire.  Rainbow rolled her eyes. "I know I shouldn't make a big deal since I was one once."  Spitfire scoffed. "Ha.  You and Lightning Dust were more than confident.  You two seemed sure." "What does Lightning Dust do now, anyways?  I haven't seen her since I left, well, since she left."  Spitfire shook her head. "She works lower jobs now.  Not many trust her recklessness.  You helped ponies out as well as made one pony's life hell."  Rainbow sighed.  They were out on the field now and were being surrounded by recruits.  Upon seeing her, there were whispers about Rainbow Dash. "Sometimes I wish they can shut up." she muttered.  Spitfire nodded slightly.  Rainbow brought her head to Scootaloo's ear.  "Alright.  Remember, when I need to start flying around, push me on the cloud that is behind us.  Listen to me so you don't make me run into things."  Scootaloo nodded.  Spitfire cleared her throat. "Alright, we are here to test your strength, flexabilty, and flying abilities.  First off, we will test your wing power.  Should be simple enough for you.  Not too much.  Now, any questions?"  A stallion raised his hoof.  He had a smirk on his face and a few of the others around him surpressed laughs.  "Yes?" "I don't see how we are supposed to learn from an earth pony." he said, pointing at RD.  The others around him started to laugh.  Rainbow tensed.  Scootaloo looked up at her with concern.  Rainbow walked forward walked up to the stallion and stared him down. "What kind of air flow is used to gain maximum speed?" "Umm...." "What is the danger of turbulence during a stunt?" "Well..I'm not...." "Whats the perfect condition for making a mach cone if one is to preform a sonic rainboom?"  At this, the stallion smirked at this question. "None.  No one has been able to preform a sonic rainboom."  Rainbow smiled and leaned forward next to his ear. "Wrong.  I preformed it.  Four times."  Rainbow backed away, still smiling as she saw the stallions face.  She turned around and walked back next to Spitfire.  "Now, all of you, line up!"  The others obeyed, not wanting to anger the rainbow maned mare further.  Spitfire chuckled. "Well, they learn fast."  Rainbow snorted. _____________________________________________________________________ Prisim and Glimmer sat in the middle of the class, not wanting to attract attention anymore.  Ruby and Raincloud were sitting in the front of class where they could be watched by Mrs. Smiling.  The two fillys whispered each other, occasionaly throwing a look back at the twins.  For the most part, they ignored it.   But they sometimes couldn't ignore it when they looked back with mischevious smiles and giggled. What are they planning? thought Glimmer. "I don't know but I don't like it." whispered Prisim, almost if she could read her thoughts.  Glimmer nodded in agreement.  She stared at the backs of their heads, wondering what they are up to. "Glimmer?"  Glimmer jolted a bit and looked over at Smiling Flowers.  She smiled sheepishly.  "Are you listening?"  she asked.  Glimmer nodded. "Yes, Mrs. Smiling."  Smiling Flowers raised an eyebrow before continuing.  Glimmer dropped her smile and sighed, looking at her sister.  She shrugged and they turned their attention back to the board. At lunch, the two sisters sat next to each other, eating the lunches that the chefs in the kitchen made fore them.  At their request, they made simple lunches.  Not wanting to show off their heritage. "Well, isn't it the royal princesses."  The twins winced, knowing it to be Ruby Moon. "More like royal tattle-tales."  said Raincloud in a mocking voice.  Glimmer sighed and bit into her sandwhich. "So, grounding you two for a week wasn't enough, so you decided to come back and pick on us." said Glimmer after she swallowed.  Ruby scoffed. "We are only grounded because you two are babies and rush to Mommy and Princess Mommy whenever someone hurts your feelings."  Prisim chuckled. "You can't even think of a proper comeback.  I guess our parents give us some perks." mused Prisim as she bit into her sandwich, still not turning to face the two fillys.  Raincloud leaned up next to her ear. "Oh trust me, Miss Princess, we can make your life hell."  That actually scared the two a little but they kept cool. "And so can we."  said Glimmer, taking another bite.  The two fillys left with a 'humph' and left the twins alone.  Glimmer turned to Prisim. "Maybe we should tell mommy and momma."  Prisim shook her head. "No, we can't give those two the...um..." "Pleasure?" "Yes, pleasure.  We can't give them the pleasure of being right.  We will prove we can handle them."  They looked over at the two who were busy torturing some other poor soul. "Oh this will be tough." //-------------------------------------------------------// The accident //-------------------------------------------------------// The accident It was a good day until close to the end of the day when brown colt started mouthing off, Rainbow Dash being the main target.  She swore that he was related to the little filly who insulted her family.  She even have someone check and did indeed have a sister named Raincloud.  Spitfire was fed up with his outbursts and insults. "Cloud Kicker, I advise you to keep your mouth shut.  One more slip up and you will be expelled." said Spitfire, glaring at a brown Pegasus through her sunglasses.  The colt in question snorted.       "Fine, I don't want to be taught by an earth pony anyways."  Rainbow Dash glared at him.        "I told you, I'm not an earth pony."  snarled Rainbow.  Cloud Kicker laughed.          "Oh yeah, I forgot.  I don't want to be taught be a Pegasus who lost her wings to some STD."  Before Rainbow dash could react, Scootaloo was in the colts face.         "You shut your damn mouth!  You don't know shit!"  It could have gone without the swearing but Rainbow smiled at her.  The kid could get protective when needed.  She was proud she restrained herself for as long as she did.         "Oh, and some little filly will stop me.  Go home, kid."  Scootaloo stood up so she was right in his face.        "Make.  Me." she spat out.  Spirfire chuckled.         "She may not be your biological daughter, but she's your daughter alright."  Rainbow laughed.         "Yeah, but let's hope this doesn't go too far."  Spitfire nodded.         "Alright." said the Cloud, nodding his head.  He started to turn around but bucked her in the face instead.  Scootaloo was sent backwards.  She grabbed her muzzle to see if it was broken.  After seeing it wasn't, she launched herself at Cloud, tackling him.          In an effort to get her off, he placed his back legs on her body.  He kicked her and sent her flying into a cart that was there for equipment.  That cart broke in half, sharp objects jutting out from the wreckage.  Rainbow eyed the wreckage and saw how close the two were.  She wanted to try and move the danger away, but that was impossible, so they just had to break it up.       Before they could step in, she jumped onto him again, but went straight to beating him senseless.  After getting his footing, Cloud stood up and started to shake his body around.  Finally, with a great swing, he sent her flying.        The sound of a screaming filly filled the air, making Dash's heart sink as she watched Scootaloo fall onto the wreckage, impaling herself on a pole.       Without thinking, Ranbow tackled the colt and held him on his back.  She repeatedly bashed in his face, tears rolling down her cheeks.  Spitfire and a few others tried to pull her off him, but she held.       "I'll kill you!  Motherbucker, I'll kill you!  Let me go, he hurt my daughter!  Let me go!"  They dragged the hysterical Pegasus far enough away that she couldn't do much damage.  Spitfire stood up and started yelling orders.         "Some get an ambulance, she won't last long if she doesn't get help!  Get that colt held down and get the guard.  Hurry up."  Spitfire knelt down next to Rainbow Dash.  Rainbow was crying.  She tried to turn her head to Scootaloo but Spitfire stopped her.  "You sure?"  She simply nodded.  Spitfire nodded to Scootaloo and Rainbow turned to face her foster daughter.         Six ponies surrounded her, trying to get her removed from the wreckage.  When every they bumped the three foot pole jutting out of her chest, she could her hear scream.  Blood pooled from around the pole that was jutting out of her right chest cavity.  Rainbow knew enough about the body to know that it wasn't close enough to the heart to cause too many problems but was right over top her lungs.         Scootaloo's breaths were short and labored, added on by her natural breathing problem, and coughed up blood on occasion.  Rainbow couldn't stand looking at her and turned to Spitfire.        "Go get Twilight.  Fly as fast as you can.  Please."  Spitfire nodded.         "We will be at Cloudsdale hospital in no time.  Hang in there, I'll be back."  With that, Spitfire was off. __________________________________________________________________________        Twilight sat in one of the chairs in her living room, the twins playing on the floor.  Twilight had been working all day and was glad for the moment to sit down and relax.  Now she was waiting for Rainbow and Scootaloo to come home.         There was a frantic knock on the door, causing the twins to stop and Twilight to put down her book.  She wondered who could be needing her at the moment and it had to be important due to how hard and how fast they were knocking.         "Come in." she said with a sigh, not liking the fact that her Cree time was cut short.  The doors opened and revealed a exhausted and worried Spitfire.  The mare was sweating in her uniform.         "Twilight, you need to come with me, it's important."  Twilight stood up.        "Why?  What's wrong?" she asked.  Spitfire gulped, not wanting to say in front of the children but they would find out anyways.          "Its Scootaloo, she's dying."  The world stopped around Twilight, she didn't even notice the twins were wrapped around her legs.  Glimmer was lifted up and placed up on Spitfire's back, who raised an eyebrow at Twilight as Prisim sat down on her back. "Come one, we have to get there." she said walking to the window.  Spitfire followed as she jumped out the window and flew torwards Cloudsdale, making Rainbow proud with her speed. _____________________________________________________________________________ Rainbow Dash sat crying in the waiting room, waiting for the results.  Her hooves bounced off the floor while she waited.  Scootaloo may be her foster daughter but she was still her daughter.   The colt from earlier was on the other side of the room with two gaurds next two him and cuffs chaining him to the chair.  His face swollen from his beating.  Rainbow looked over at one of the gaurds. "Be careful, my wife will do a lot more than I did and you might not be able to stop her."  The guard raised an eyebrow. "Why is that ma'am?"  Just as she opened her mouth opened, the doors burst open and Twilight burst through the door.  Her face was emotionless.  She looked over at the colt and walked up to him. "Don't stop me unless he is about to die."  With that, she started beating him sensless.  Her hooves came down in constant strokes.  The colt was bleeding and looked as if he was about to black out.  Twilight was about to bring the golden clad hoof down again when someone stopped her.  She prepared to turn around and yell at the pony when she saw Celestia.  She ran into the alicorns embrace, crying.  Rainbow joined the two. "Ssh.  Quiet now, my children.  Everything will be alright." she said wrapping the two in her embrace.  Spitfire held the twins I her grasp. They all turned their attention to the hallway when they heard someone clear their throat.  The doctor stood there with a sad look on his face. "We were able to cut off enough of the pole so we could get her in an MRI.  We deducted that pole went through her right lung."  Rainbow inhaled sharply.  Twilight looked at her. "Whats wrong?  Ponies can live with one lung."  Rainbow shook her head. "Scootaloo has a birth defect of the lung.  Her left is smaller than her right and she has troubled breathing when she does hard labour."  The doctor nodded. "She will either need a donor or live on a special breathing device for the rest of her life.  If we find a donor, we have two options."  They looked up at him, showing he had their attention.  "We could go with the traditional operation which can lead to possible death or we could remove the pole, sew up the wound, and magically transplant the organ after we found a unicorn professional."   Rainbow thought for a moment. "Side effects?" "Only one, some biological DNA is transfered over.  This sometimes affects the patients traits but mostly affects their reproductive system.  It also makes you the biological parent, so to speak."  Rainbow Dash sat down and thought about it. "I would like to apply for possible donor."  The doctor nodded. "If you would follow me."  Rainbow gave Twilight a quick kiss. "This will all be over soon."  With that, she followed the doctor. //-------------------------------------------------------// Scootaloo Dash //-------------------------------------------------------// Scootaloo Dash        Rainbow Dash layed down on the bed and let the nurses prep her for transplant.  Memories of her last surgery came flooding back.  At least now she can move.         They hooked her up to a heart monitor and placed air tubes in her nose to keep her breathing correctly when they took out her lung.  They then injected her with a sedative so she wasn't awake when they started.  The last thing she remembered was being rolled up next to Scootaloo. _____________________________________________________________________________________           "Are you sure you want to do this?" asked Celestia.  Twilight was sitting down, waiting for her wife and daughter to get finished with their surgery.           "Yes.  It has done enough damage already.  If I did it long ago, none of this would happen."  Twilight put her head in her hooves, holding back her tears.  Celestia wrapped a wing around her.          "But good things still happened.  You two have been through a lot these past six years.  I think you are doing the right thing.  Have faith."  Twilight smiled and nuzzled against Celestia for comfort.  Celestia brought her closer.         "I also think she could know the truth."  Twilight looked up at her.         "You sure?  Only you, me, and Luna know."  Celestia nodded.        "She is part of the family, and now Scootaloo once she gets out.  They need to know."  Twilight was silent for awhile.       "Alright.  Once they get out of their surgeries, I'll tell them."  Celestia smiled and nuzzled her.         "Have faith." ___________________________________________________________________________________________         Scootaloo moaned as she started to wake up.  She attempted to open her eyes, but the light was too strong.  She lifted up her hoof and brought it over to the right side of her chest.  She traced the scar where the pole used to be.  She opened her eyes to find herself in a hospital bed.         She looked around the room, trying to make out what happened.  Her eyes stopped at the clipboard on the nightstand.  She grabbed the board and read it.           'Patient: Scootaloo Dash.            Condition: Stable.  Suffered sever damage to right lung.           Surgery: Magical.           Donor: Rainbow Dash; Mother.           DNA Results: Positive'          Scootaloo put down the clipboard and looked up at the ceiling.         'Scootaloo Dash?  I'm not biologically related.  And why was it positive for DNA results?  What we're they testing?'  The questions ran through her mind.  Before she could dwell on it more, the door opened and Twilight walked in.          "Twi-" Scootaloo winced.  She couldn't breathe hard yet.  She looked up at the lavender alicorn.  "What happened?"  Twilight sat down and saw the clipboard next to Scootaloo.  She brought it over to her and read it.  Once she finished, she had a huge smile on her face.          "Positive, eh?  I think Scootaloo Dash is just perfect."  She looked up at Scootaloo.  "From what I heard, you got into a fight and ended up with a four hoof long pole sticking out of you.  It completely destroyed your lung and you needed a donor else you would be on life support.          "Dash more than willingly signed up and went through with it.  They had to do it magically else the surgery would have killed you.  As side effect...."  Twilight trailed off and smiled, tears rolling down her face.        "What's the side effect?" asked Scootaloo, getting worried.         "You are now my biological daughter."  The curtain pulled back to reveal Rainbow Dash.  Scootallo's mouth dropped.  It wasn't just because of what Rainbow said, but on her back were two cyan wings.  Rainbow followed her gaze and laughed.       "Your mom is an alicorn.  There is a lot of mind blowing stuff she can do."  Scootaloo layed her head down on her pillow.         "I'm going to get a head ache."  Twilight gave a small laugh and shifted uncomfortably.        "Well, there is something I need to tell you two." //-------------------------------------------------------// A look into the past //-------------------------------------------------------// A look into the past This chapter takes place a year after Twilight was taken under Celestia's wing.  She is ten. _______________________________________________________________________________________________          Twilight walked down the halls with a slight spring in her step.  It may have been a full year since she was taken under Princess Celestia's wing, but she always felt alive and extremely lucky.  She was about to have a party celebrating one year with Celestia.  Nothing could ruin her day.  So she thought.           She stopped outside the throne room doors as she heard ponies talking.  She peeked around the corner and what she saw would be burned in her memory as well as the words that followed.  She saw Princess Celestia, a sad look on her face, tears welling in her eyes, and her mane flatter than usual.  In front of her were two guards.  Each had their helmets pulled off.         "We aren't completely sure what happened or wether it was an accident or not."  Celestia nodded slowly.          "Do their children know?" she asked.          "We have the message being sent to the son now."  Celestia took a shaky breath.          "And Twilight."          "She still doesn't know.  You should think about what to do with her.  She has no parents anymore."  The doors opened to reveal a crying Twilight.  Tears were streaming down her face and she gasped for air in between sobs.  Celestia looked at her, almost in tears herself.         "Twilight-"  Before she could finish, Twilight turned and ran down the hallway.  Celestia got up and ran after the filly.          "Twilight!  Wait!"  The lavender unicorn filly did not listen.  She kept running until she made it into the gardens.  She collapsed in front of the flowers and started crying uncontrollably.  Celestia sat down next her and wrapped her in her wing.         "I don't know what to do anymore.  I-I'm all alone." said Twilight, starting to calm down.  Celestia stroked her mane.         "You are never alone.  If I have to, I will adopt you just so you won't be alone."  Where did that come from?  Celestia didn't know why she said it, but she doesn't regret it.  Twilight looked up at her in shock.         "Y-you m-mean you would a-adopt me?"  Celestia nodded.         "Of course.  If it means making you happy, I would gladly call you my daughter."  She hugged the filly.  Twilight returned it and cried into Celestia's neck.        "Of course, mom." FLASHBACK END ____________________________________________________________________________         Rainbow Dash smiled while Scootaloo stared at her in shock.  Durng the time she was telling the story, their friends, Spitfire, Celestia, and the twins all came in and listened.  Celestia sat next to her daughter, a wing wrapped around her side.  Rainbow chuckled.         "You know, Twi.  You are one special mare."  Twilight blushed a bit.  Rainbow laughed.  "And that's why I love you."  Twilight leaned forward and the two kissed each other.  Everyone except the twins, who made gagging sounds, awed at the two.  Twilight broke off and stood up.        "I think we should leave so the doctors can check up and tell us how long they need to stay, though I think Rainbow will be released tonight."  Everyone filed out of the room and let in the doctor.          Like predicted, Rainbow was released a few hours later.  Scootaloo had to stay two more days before she is allowed to leave.  Rainbow walked up to Scootaloo and kissed her on the forehead.          "See ya later, kid.  See ya in a few days."          "Bye, mom." //-------------------------------------------------------// Back to hell...I mean school //-------------------------------------------------------// Back to hell...I mean school       Prism and Glimmer walked side by side as they headed to school.  The two weren't exactly excited to go back and suffer more verbal beating from Ruby and Raincloud.  They only been in school for a few days and they already made it hell.  The last thing they need after watching their sister fight for her life is those two.     Sadly, life isn't always kind.  Just as they entered the class room, the two class bullies got to work on torturing everyone in the room.  Prism and Glimmer shrunk down into their seats and hoped to Faust they wouldn't see them.  It didn't work out very well.     "Well, if it isn't the royal princesses." mocked Ruby as the two walked up to them.     "You would expect on how these two are 'famous' princess daughters they could at least make it to school." said Raincloud.  Glimmer held Prism in her magical grasp before she could launch herself at them.       "Why don't you shut up?!  We had a perfectly good reason not to be at school yesterday."  Ruby scoffed.       "Yeah right.  You probably just goofing off with Princess Celestia and skipping school."  Prism and Glimmer's eyes went wide as they saw who was behind the two bullies.       "Well, they were with me, but not goofing off, as you say it."  Ruby and Raincloud turned around and stared in shock as Princess Celestia stood behind them.       "Grandma!" yelled the two twins, running into her forelegs.  Celestia embraced the twins and nuzzled them.       "Hello, children.  Your parents wanted me to remind you that you need to head to the Canterlot Hospital after school, Scootaloo was transferred there yesterday."  Glimmer cocked her head.       "Why?  What's wrong with the one in Cloudsdale?"      "The surgery was done with magic and they needed to bring her somewhere where they have doctors in that field, thus Canterlot."        "Okay, grandma.  We'll see you there." said Prism, nuzzling her foreleg.  Celestia giggled and stood up.       "Now you two behave, I will see at the hospital." With that she left.  Soon after, Smiling Flowers came in and kept checking the hallway.       "Did I just see Princess Celestia come in here?"  The two twins giggled and sat down in their seats.  "Anyways, in your seats.  Prism, Glimmer, come up here please."  Ruby and Raincloud snickered.  Prism stuck out her tongue as she walked by.        "Yes, Mrs. Smiling?" asked the twins in unison.       "May I ask where you two were yesterday?  You were gone and I didn't get a note so I'm just wondering.  That and Celestia herself was in my classroom."       "Well, you see, are sister was in the hospital and she just woke up yesterday." said Prism.        "Oh my what happened?" ___________________________________________________________________________        Celestia sat down next to her daughter, Twilight, who was busy with legal documents that gathered up over her absence.  For a few minutes she sat in silence and watched her.  After a few minutes she spoke.        "Why didn't you tell them the truth." she asked quietly.  (Because the author is too lazy to put on the AU tag.  Damn lazy teenage authors.). Twilight set down the quill and looked up at her.        "I-I don't know."  Celestia wrapped a wing around her and brought her close.  Twilight laid her head on her chest.  "I just couldn't bring myself to it.  I hate lying to them but I don't know if I could do it."  Celestia stroked her mane gently.       "They are your family. Scootaloo is your daughter now and she defiantly needs to know.  I think Rainbow deserves the truth just as much.  You have to trust them."  Celestia looked out the window.  "Tomorrow morning they are releasing Scootaloo.  I think you should talk to them then."      "What if I can't?" she asked, looking up at her mother.      "I know you can.  Have faith."  Twilight giggled.      "You've been saying that a lot lately."       "I have, haven't I?"        "Mhmm". Celestia kissed Twilights forehead.        "I love you, Twilight, and I believe in you."        "Alright." ________________________________________________________________________       Scootaloo Dash eased herself slowly onto the couch in their living room.  She let out a sigh as she sat down on the comfortable piece of furniture.  Twilight sat down across from her and pulled out a piece of paper from the stack on her desk and floated it over to her.  Scootaloo frowned at the paper.       "What's this?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.        "A job application." she replied calmly.  Scootaloo's mouth dropped open.       "What the hell, mom?!  I just get of the hospital and you tell me to get a job."  Twilight smirked.       "Read it."  Scootaloo snorted and grabbed the application from her grasp.  Her eyes went wide when she read the header.  "Your mother got that for you."  Scootaloo read the header over and over again in her mind.            'Wonderbolt coordinator assistant.'  Her mouth worked but no sound came.  Twilight giggled.            "Rainbow took the job of coordinator after she got her wings back.  She said she needed an assistant and decided to give you an application." Twilight held Scootaloo in her magical grasp as she saw that the young mare was about to jump out of her seat.             "This is so bucking awesome!" screamed the filly, her face lighting up.  Twilight glared at her.          "Language, young lady."  Scootaloo gave a sheepish grin.         "Sorry, mom."  Twilight watched the excited mare.         'How could I lie to them?' //-------------------------------------------------------// Solar child //-------------------------------------------------------// Solar child        "It was amazing!" exclaimed Rainbow, putting down her fork and throwing up her forelegs in excitement.  "I mean, come on!  It's not everyday you show up to class with wings and pull off a sonic rainboom after Celestia knows how long."  Twilight giggled at Rainbow's enthusiasm and cockiness, she hasn't seen this part of her in years.        "Wow. Only if I could go to work like that." said Scootaloo.  Rainbow chuckled and patted the mare's head.        "Some day."  Rainbow looked over at Twilight who had been quiet the whole time and pushed her food around her plate.  Rainbow nuzzled Twilight's shoulder.  "What's wrong, babe?"  Twilight sighed and hung her head low.          "I lied."  Rainbow went rigged, fearing the worst.         "A-about what?" She asked, stammering.         "My parents, my life, everything up to Ponyville.  I don't know why I could never tell you."  A tear fell.  Rainbow Dash wrapped a wing around her.          "What really happened?" _________________________________Flashback, motherbuckers.  36 years ago______________            Celestia winced as a stallion entered the throne room.  She was in the middle of an late day court.  Her advisor, a unicorn mare with a red mane and a blue coat looked up at her with concerned eyes.           "Is everything alright, Celestia?"  Celestia gave a small nod and straightened up.          "Of course, just a little kick."  No one could tell, but she was pregnant.  If she was to drop the illusion spell on her body, you could tell she was pretty much ready to give birth though she wasn't due for another two weeks.  Only the higher up staff and a select few nobles and her niece, Cadence, knew about the foal.          She was happy to be having a foal but she didn't know what to do with it once it was born.  The idea could very well cause some sort of political drama after the nobles got something on it.  Sometimes she couldn't believe how many idiots there were among the nobles.        Another course of pain went through her.  She bent forward and gazed at the floor, grasping her stomach.  The stallion who was trying to get approval on a large farm project stopped talking and looked at her in concern.  Celestia opened her eyes.  They went wide as she saw a pool of water flow up to her forehoof.  She looked to see where it was coming from.         "Princess?" said her advisor quietly.  Celestia looked up at her with shock on her face        "My water broke."  Quill, her advisor, stared at her for a second.  She shook herself out of her stupor and yelled orders.       "Guards, go down to the hospital wing and get a stretcher.  Tell the doctor it's coming."  The guards didn't ask what was coming or question their orders.  They pushed out the confused farm pony and sprinted down to the hospital ward in the palace.  Quill stroked the princess' mane.  The princess was laying down on the floor and was groaning.  With a flash of magic, the illusion dropped.        "Just take deep breaths and stay calm."  Quill, having had a few foals herself, knew what to do when in labour and helped the alicorn mare.  Celestia's breathing calmed as much as it could.  The doors were thrown open and three nurses ran in and helped the princess onto the stretcher.      "When was she supposed to be due?"      "Two weeks." said Quill, holding Celestia's hoof to help calm her.  Celestia tightened her grip as she had another contraction.  Quill knew how a mare could get in labour and hoped she wasn't like her.  Oh how wrong she was.        "Hurry up and get it out!" she yelled as the nurses rolled her into a prepared room.  They hurried to put on their masks and prepare to deliver the foal.  A doctor came running in, already prepared, and started on the procedure.  Quill was asked to stay outside.  She was glad she wasn't in there because she could tell by the screams she wouldn't have a hoof left if she stayed by Celestia's side.         Quill sat there and listened to the pained cries of Celestia.  The press soon came, keeping her busy. She swore whoever told them was going to have to pay.  The last thing Celestia needed after giving birth was to get mobbed by the press.      "Listen!  You are to get out of this wing and not ask the Princess any questions concerning her pregnancy or her child. If you don't leave, I will remove you myself."  The reporters stepped back and reluctantly left.  She sighed as she sat back down in the chair.  Soon the screams stopped.  Quill sat up, listening for any sound coming from the room.  She heard the crying of an tiny foal. A smile appeared on her lips.        She knocked a few times before entering the room.  Celestia laid on the hospital bed, a tired look on her face.  She wore a smile as she looked down at the foal in her hooves.  The foal was a little unicorn filly.  The filly's coat was a light shade of lavender, her mane purple with lighter purple highlights.  The filly wiggled a bit and opened her eyes.  They were a beautiful shade of purple.         "What are you going to name her?" asked Quill as she stood next to her.  Celestia looked out the window.  The moon and sun sat on either side of the sky, bathing it in orange and purple.  A few stars were already showing.  Celestia looked down at the filly and examined her coat.        "Twilight.  Twilight Sparkle."  Celestia smiled as she held the small filly in her hooves.  She gently stroked the foal's purple mane with a hoof.  Twilight looked up at her and giggled. _______________________________________________________________________________________             "Twilight?" Celestia searched the rooms and halls for the little filly, failing to find her.  It was close to night and it was almost the filly's bed time.  She checked the library to find it empty.  Of all the places in the palace, that should have been the number one area for her to be.          She soon found her, standing and staring at the wall.  She was about to call out to her when she realized where she was.  Her heart sank as she saw the colored stained glass windows that adorned the walls.         Each window showed a moment in history, both dark and happy.  The particular window Twilight was interested was one of the windows that detailed Nightmare Moon.  Twilight was staring wide eyed at the glass, showing Celestia's downfall.  Celestia hoped not to show her the room until she was much older.  The history was one thing that can be overwhelming especially if your mother is shown in over half of them.  Celestia draped a wing over her daughter.       "Mommy, did this all really happen?" asked the little filly.  Celestia sighed and lead her out of the room.        "Yes.  Those windows show events that happened over the centuries.  The one you were observing was almost a thousand years ago."        "What happened?"  Celestia went rigged and winced.        "Um...a pony I knew was consumed by pain, envy, and anger and became evil.  I-I had to banish her.  When you are older we will talk more about this, alright?"       "Yes, mom." said Twilight, hanging her because she didn't get to her the rest of the story.  Celestia giggled at the filly's eagerness to learn.  Celestia lifted up the filly and placed her on her back.       "Come on, I have to raise the moon and you need to go to bed."       "Can I watch you raise the moon?"        "Of course." __________________________________________________________________________________Present         "Again, you are one special filly."  Twilight looked up at Rainbow Dash, surprised.        "You are not mad I lied to you."  Rainbow shook her head.         "Nope.  You had your reasons for not telling me or anyone else for that matter, and I respect that.  I still love you all the same, nothing will change that."  Twilight hugged her wife, thankful for how understanding she could be at times.       "I need a marefriend" mumbled Scootaloo.   Twilight looked up at her.       "If you actually LOOKED for one you could probably get one."  Scootaloo shrugged.     "I'll find one soon". Rainbow shook her head.       "I think its safe to say we don't have an ordinary family." //-------------------------------------------------------// Possible step-mom //-------------------------------------------------------// Possible step-mom       "What?!" yelled Twilight, causing the other three in the room to wince.  Rainbow put a hoof on Twilight's shoulder and sat her back down while Chrysalis scooted closer to Celestia with a scared look.  Twilight glared at her.  Chrysalis moved away reluctantly.        "Twilight Solar, you behave.   You know full well the treaty between changelings and ponies, you happily signed it yourself." said Celestia, scolding her daughter.  A few months ago the changelings moved into Equestria after a peace treaty.  Now, four months later, she was being told they had been dating for the past three weeks.         "It's not that I hate changelings or Chrysalis, it's just...why did you start dating and not tell me until THREE weeks later?" asked Twilight, annoyed by the two alicorns.  Chrysalis was the one to speak.        "We both knew it wouldn't be a good idea to drop it on you after you just had a lot going on and we didn't know what your reaction would be.  Please trust me when I say we had best interests in mind."  Twilight sighed.       "Sorry, I guess I can get a little annoyed"       "That's an understatement." muttered Rainbow.  Twilight hit her on the shoulder and continued.      "But I am happy for you."  She turned to Chrysalis and put on a deathly glare.  "Take care of her."       "Of course, Solar." said Chrysalis, calling her by one of her last names.      "Don't push it." deadpanned Twilight.  Chrysalis hung her head.       "Sorry."  Twilight stood up, Rainbow following.       "Well, we have twins to take care of and you two can have some alone time."  With that she left, Rainbow right behind her.       "Twilight Solar Sparkle, eh?  Not bad."  said Rainbow.  Twilight rolled her eyes.      "Solar is Celestia's last name.  Sparkle because of the stars that were shining outside when I was born.  And Twilight should be obvious."       "Anyways, what do you really think about Chrysalis possibly being your second mom?" asked Dash.  Twilight sighed.        "I'm still nervous about her since almost ten years ago she invaded Canterlot.  But, I'm happy because Mom has finally found somepony who will possibly stay with her at all times and will love her more than anything.  I can't take that away from her after everything she's done."  Rainbow nuzzled her side affectionately.        "That is one huge heart you have.  You are willing to give anypony a second chance."       "Depending."       "Depending." agreed Rainbow.  "I can't believe that damn Cloud Kicker escaped.  I was looking forward to seeing him get charged in court."  Twilight chuckled.      "We'll find him eventually. It's not hard to find a Pegasus who has multiple wounds that looked like someone beat him over the head with polished gold.  These shoes are very lethal."      "Remind me not to piss you off when you are wearing those."  Twilight smiled and nuzzled her.       "I would never heart you."  Rainbow nuzzled back and draped a wing over her.  The two walked back to their apartment in each others wings. //-------------------------------------------------------// Threat to the crown //-------------------------------------------------------// Threat to the crown      Twilight sat on the balcony, looking at the orange and purple sky she was named after.  She didn't her the door open or jump when she felt someone nuzzle up next to her.  She laid up against the side of her lover and nuzzled her head into the rainbow mane next to her.      "Why can't I love you without somepony hurting our family?" she said quietly.  She heard Rainbow sigh.       "Because no one wants to accept it.  They live to much in tradition that they don't want to change.  When change does come, they fear it, hate it, ignore it.  Only few accept it and don't give a fuck.  Someone's gay?  Cool.  They don't care."       "But why do they have to hurt us?" asked Twilight, she was on the verge of crying.  A cyan wing wrapped itself around her and brought her closer.       "I don't know, but I will protect my family.  They will not hurt you, Scootaloo, the twins, no one.  I can promise you they will not hurt you."  Twilight looked up at her.      "What about you?" asked Twilight, holding back sobs.      "I would walk through the gates of hell and sacrifice myself before they hurt you."  She brought her wife closer and kissed her forehead.  "I will NOT let them hurt you."  Twilight cried into her coat.  Rainbow Dash stroked her mane while holding back her own tears.  This was worse then when she had cancer.     Last week they got a threat that if they did not step down they will force them by any means possible, even murder.  They payed it no mind until the twins were almost killed by a run away cart.  Among the wreckage was a note saying 'You we're warned.'      The twins were now told they had to bring guards with to school and anywhere outside of the castle same went with Scootaloo for school.  Scootaloo was assigned three Wonderbolts to watch her at work.  While Rainbow seemed to take it well, Twilight was emotionally falling apart.  There were too many times someone she loved almost died.     Rainbow had been trying to calm her all night, telling her that everything would be alright.  Luna willingly took over dusk court and night court until Twilight could go back to work.  Twilight argued at first but gave in later.  Rainbow just hoped they could get through this. ________________________________________________________________________________     Cloud Kicker sat behind a desk with his hooves pressed together.  He stared at the two unicorns and one Pegasus in his office.  Each had no expression and stared at the wall behind him.  He turned to the white Pegasus and red unicorn.      "Do you have a way into the academy tomorrow and a escape route planned?"  The two raised their hooves to their foreheads.    "Yes sir!"  He then turned to the blue unicorn.     "Is the spell set?"     "Yes sir!  It's just waiting for me to detonate it."  Cloud Kicker nodded.     "12:30, everypony, and we take a huge step in keeping our government clean.  Now go to your positions and wait for your cue."  The three saluted and left his office. He smiled and sat back in his chair.  Tomorrow, he would change Equestria. _____________________12:20 P.M.  Wonderbolt Academy_________________________________       Rainbow sat on one of the benches and watched Scootaloo shout out commands at the cadets as they tried a very difficult maneuver. Not far from where she was sitting was the three Wonderbolts who were watching her and her daughter.  They stood tall and scanned the area.     Rainbow Dash herself was on edge herself.  Sh watched Scootaloo like a hawk, making sure nothing happened.  She took a deep breath, trying to get enough air in her remaining lung, and scanned the area.  Her gaze stopped at a spot on the academy roof.  It was well hidden from site but enough from the two ponies were sticking out for her to see.     The two stood low, keeping their eyes on a certain area.  Rainbow followed their gaze and froze when it stopped on her daughter.  She then looked back and saw one of them charging up a horn.  Without thinking, she flew up in the air and darted to her daughter, almost going into a sonic rainboom.      The sickening sound of spell hitting flesh filled the air.      Scootaloo watched in horror as her rainbow maned mother fell to the ground, her side charred black from the spell.  She caught her and lowered her gently on the ground as the three Wonderbolts surrounded them, shielding the, from danger.  She looked up at one of the cadets with tears in her eyes.     "Get help!  Please!  I can't loose her!"  The mare she spoken to hesitated for a moment before flying away.  Scootaloo looked down at her mother who was just now starting to open her eyes.  Tears flowed down her cheeks and Rainbow smiled.      "Said I would die for you."  She closed her eyes.  Scootaloo's heart stopped.     "No!  No!  Wake up!  Please!  Don't leave me!  Wake up!"  She sobbed, not wanting to let go as doctors arrived.  They finally got her away and started to revive her.  Scootaloo turned away and cried into a familiar orange coat.  Spitfire cried as she watched her friend lie lifeless on the clouds.      "May Twilight's fury burn those who did this." whispered Spitfire as she watched.  The clock read 12:30. _____________12:28 P.M.  Canterlot courtyard________________________________________       Prism and Glimmer followed the three guards that were told to follow them.  They wore grins on their faces on their faces since Ruby and Raincloud were sick, leaving the whole class to play without worrying about the two bully's.       The five of them went into the castle courtyard until the guards stopped.  The unicorn guard in front looked around nervously, like he was looking for something.  Just then, the window that led into their living was blown out by an explosion.  Flames shot out of the window.  The guards cursed and huddled around the twins.      "Please tell me the Princess wasn't in there." said one of the guards.  The unicorn shook his head.      "She had no business and said she was staying in her apartment all day."  An earth pony guard cussed.     "Shit, let's get inside and try to get them somewhere safe."  Before they could move they were surrounded by unicorns and pegasi.  Each of them took up fighting position around them.  The same guard cussed again as all their weapons were ripped out of their grasp.  The Pegasus guard looked at the unicorn.      "Spear, do something."  Spear shook his head.      "Can't think straight.  I could end up hurting us instead of helping."  A blue unicorn smirked and walked forward.  Spear stepped in front of his path.  The guard yelped as he was grasped in a velvet aura and thrown aside along with the other two.  The twins huddled close to each other for protection.  The unicorn stepped forward.       "Get away from my daughters!"  The unicorn turned around and froze.  Before the group was a white alicorn wearing the element of magic.  Her mane and tail her on fire and her eyes were completely white.  If he was staring at death, this was as close as he could get.  He stood his ground as Twilight stepped forward.  She towered over them and proved to be taller then Celestia.  The ground withered under her hooves from the heat itself.       "You sent threats, you tried to kill the with a cart, you tried to kill me, and now you have the balls to try and take them from me?"  Her voice was demented and filled with pure anger.  By now, Celestia, Luna, and Chrysalis were outside.  Celestia covered her mouth in terror as she beheld her daughter.  The blue unicorn was wrapped in a red aura and brought in front of her.     "What else did you do?" The stallion put on his best poker face he could manage.     "I will not tell you."  Celestia swore the air got twenty degrees hotter and it wasn't her.     "What else did you DO?!"  Her voice boomed through the courtyard, causing everyone to cover there ears.  The stallion smiled.     "It's too late.  They are probably already dead."  He screamed as his body was engulfed in flames.  The twins looked away, crying.  And Celestia stared in horror.  The burnt corpse fell to the ground and the others were forces to the ground by vines as they wrapped themselves around them.  Twilight turned around and flew off towards the academy, a trail of fire following her. //-------------------------------------------------------// The wrath of Twilght Solar //-------------------------------------------------------// The wrath of Twilght Solar        Spitfire sat next to Scootaloo, protecting her from the onslaught of spells that were being casted at them.  The two who originally attacked were now joined by many more unicorns.  They were all seemly skilled spell casters and were trying damn hard to kill Scootaloo.  Spitfire stroked the filly's mane as she cried in her lap.      Not far from their cover was Rainbow Dash.  Three doctors surrounded her and were trying to keep her alive so they could take her back to the hospital when they got the chance.  Rainbow looked over at them and smiled weakly.  Spitfire chuckled lightly.  Even now she keeps her cool even when she is dying and everyone is under attack.      Spitfire looked over her cover to see the battle that was before her.  A few cadets were unlucky enough to get caught in the fire and payed on the clouds.  There were a few Wonderbolts dead as well, the rest fighting back behind cover.  It wasn't looking in their favor.  Spitfire stroked Scootaloo's mane and closed her eyes.      "Celestia, goddess of the sun, save and protect us.  Save this poor filly and her mother from these monsters who try to kill them."  She opened her eyes and hoped her prayer worked.  It did.      She saw what looked like a trial of fire come from the sun and head towards them.  She pointed to it and Scootaloo looked up at it.  The trail of fire aimed itself towards the center of the field.  The fighting stopped as everyone looked up at the object speeding towards the, at break neck speed.  Spitfire gaped as a pure white alicorn landed, but it wasn't Celestia, her mane and tail were on fire.  Scootaloo looked at the alicorn and saw the element of magic on its head.      "Mom?"  The alicorn turned and looked at her.  It's eyes were pure white and filled with rage.  It's gaze then travelled to Rainbow Dash.  Upon seeing her, the flames grew and the air got ten degrees hotter.  It turned its gaze torwards the army on the rooftop.     "You try to kill me, you try to kill my daughters, and you almost kill my wife."  Her voice was demented and made Scootaloo shudder when she heard it.  She could feel the anger in it.  She slowly backed away.  "Your death wish has been granted."  Spitfire didn't even see her horn glow.  The roof of the building erupted in flames, burning everyone on it.  Spitfire looked away and covered Scootaloo's eyes.      A single unicorn fell off the building and slowly stood up.  The shield he placed around himself faltered and failed.  He was wrapped up in a red aura and brought before the alicorn.  The fear showed on his face.  He stopped just in front of her.     "Who sent you?"  The stallion didn't answer and her eyes narrowed.  There was a hissing sound and the stallion screamed in pain.       "Cloud Kicker."  Twilight bared her teeth at the stallions name.  "He leads a group trying to clean up Equestria's corrupted government, starting with you."  The stallion was brought just inches away from her face.  He could feel the extreme heat coming from her.       "Where. Is. He?"       "E-e-everfree castle."  Twilight's expression softened.      "Thank you."  There was a loud snap and the stallion fell limp to the ground.  She turned to the doctors.  "Hurry and get her to the hospital."  With that she took off towards the Everfree Castle.  Celestia saw her take off and followed.      "Twilight Solar Sparkle."  Twilight stopped and turned to the voice.  Celestia flew up to her and hovered before her.  She gulped at her sudden size as her daughter towered over her.     "Don't try and stop me.  I will end the for what they've done." said Twilight, her voice cold and dark.      "What has happened to you, my child?" asked Celestia, tears in her eyes.  "What happened to that infinite heart, that warm smile, those eyes that wanted to know everything?  All I see before me is darkness, hate, anger, pain, saddness, and rage.  This is not Twilight."  She approached the larger alicorn before her.  "Give me back my daughter so we can do this together.  Give me back the soul who would give a second chance to anyone.  Give her back to me."  The air dropped thirty degrees and the white alicorns appearance faltered.  Her mane and tail snuffed out and became purple and pink once again.  She went back down to her normal size and color.  Finally, her white eyes gave way to her purple ones which showed pain.  Celestia embraced her daughter.      "I'm sorry." she whispered.  Celestia stroked her mane.     "I know.  It's okay.  It's okay?"  While she was soothing Twilight, Luna and Chrysalis flew up to them, both concerned. Celestia the looked Twilight in the eyes.  "Now where are they so we can settle this as a family."  Twilight wiped away her tears a nodded to the direction where she was flying.    "Cloud Kicker and the rest of his team are hiding in Everfree Castle."  Celestia stroked her mane and motioned for her to go.  She nodded and the four of them flew torwards the castle.  Celestia saw her mane spark a few times but never light.  She new it wouldn't be the case when they got there.  She just hoped she could restrain herself enough not to level the building. _______________________Everfree Castle.  1:00 P.M.______________________________________       The ruined buildings that made up the Everfree Castle came into view after a few minutes.  The four alicorns kept low to the trees to avoid being spotted.  Celestia kept an eye on her daughter, waiting to see if she would break again.  If she did, she would tell the others to stay back and try to calm her enough that she doesn't do unwanted damage.      Twilight kept her eyes on castle, not once looking away from her target.  She had a determined look on her face and fire in her eyes.  Celestia slowed down just a tiny bit.   They landed a small ways from the castle.  Celestia walked up to Twilight and put a hoof on her shoulder.       "Try to keep most of them alive and don't level the place.  It has sentimental value."  Twilight smiled sheepishly.  She grew serious again and looked at the castle.      "Alright.  Chrysalis, you attack from the back.  Celestia you take the left side Luna you take the right.  I'm going to knock on the front door.  Wait till my cue."  They nodded and went their different ways.  "Here we go." //-------------------------------------------------------// Rise of Solar Beam, Fall of Twilight Sparkle //-------------------------------------------------------// Rise of Solar Beam, Fall of Twilight Sparkle        Twilight walked towards the entrance of the Everfree Castle.  Celestia could almost feel the anger rise from her daughter.  She frowned at the display.  She knew very well if she didn't control it, if they hit the right chords, they very well could have set about an apocalypse.  She knew her daughter was as powerful if not more than her.  This darker side amplifies her power, making her beyond Celestia herself.  Twilight stopped before the castle walls.       "Princess Twilight Sparkle, Celestia, Luna, and Chrysalis, everyone came for the party!"  Twilight scanned the walls but couldn't find the source of the voice.  "You know, I thought I had to only get rid of two princesses.  Speaking of which, I wonder if they took care of that magician yet?"        "If you even touch her-" Luna was cut off by Celestia appearing right next to her.  "Tia?  You are supposed to be on the otherside."      "I don't like how Twilight's anger is rising." she replied.  Luna cocked her head.       "How so?"      "I'm afraid she will turn into that pony we saw back in Canterlot and I won't be able to bring her back."      "You did before, though."  Celestia shook her head.      "Barely."  Luna sighed.      "So what now?"      "We go to Chrysalis and hope this doesn't get out of hand."      "So how are your daughters doing, Princess?  Wait, I think I killed them."  Twilight clenched her teeth and dug her hoof into the ground.     "They aren't dead but I can't say the same for you."  Cloud Kicker laughed.     "I'm inside an enchanted castle.  You need to be Nightmare Moon to get in here.  Face it, you lost."  Twilight's mane and tail started on fire and Celestia motioned for the others to step back on the otherside of the castle.  Twilight tripled in size until she stood tall enough to tower over Celestia.  Her coat and eyes turned pure white.     "I will destroy you." Her voice was back to its demented state.  Celestia's eyes widened as she heard it.     "What do we do, Tia?" asked Luna, looking at her sister.     "We stay back.  If we get close we can end up in the cross fire, and her attacks are lethal to alicorns."  With that she reluctantly turned around and took the sky, Luna and Chrys following her.      Twilight stepped forward, the ground beneath her hooves starting on fire.  The castle doors were ripped off of their hinges.  For Celestia, it felt like the closer she got to the castle, the more enraged she would get.  It got to the point where she was surprised that the castle wasn't in flames.  Maybe she was controlling herself. An explosion proved her wrong.  Celestia turned to Luna who was watching next to her. "How bad can this get?" she asked her sister.  Luna shook her head. "I don't know.  It feeds off of hate, rage, grief, guilt, envy, and other negative emtions.  As long as they stay enough to feed off of, it will do whatever the buck it wants."  Celestia turned back to the castle with all new concerns and fears. "Well, lets hope nothing that can get her more pissed co-"  She was cut off by a huge explosion in the center of the building.  The castle started to collapse on itself from the after affects of the explosion  From the collapsing building flew Twilight from the very center.  She flew above the collapsing building and fixed her gaze upon it. With a chilling laugh she set the wreckage ablaze and flew off.  Luna held up a hoof and turned to Celestia who watched her daughter fly off. "What happened in there?"  Celestia went through her thoughts before coming to a haunting conclusion.  She shook with rage and tears formed in her eyes. "H-how could he?  She was weak and dying as it is."  Celestia shook her head while tears fell from them.  Luna looked at her with concern. "What?"  Celestia looked at her sister with sad filled eyes. "He broke her, Luna.  He did the only thing he could to break her.  He killed Rainbow."  Luna's eyes went wide.  She knew full well the connection those two had and the troubles they went through.  She even came close to death by a few seconds.  The thought of her being dead would have been more then enough to send Twilight over the edge. "Shit, we need to get to the hospital.  If she gets there and it happens to be true, we might as well give up."  Celestia nodded and flew off, hoping upon her mother that it wasn't true.  Oh how even her mother can promise everything. ________________________________________________________________________________ Celestia stared with her jaw hanging open at the wreckage through the hospital walls.  The main ER doors were thrown across the yard and objects and carts were everywhere, there was even a hospital bed sticking through the wall.  The nurse froze behind the counter as she saw them coming. "Oh please tell me you aren't here to destroy everything in sight?"  Celestia raised an eyebrow at the nurse. "Please, just tell me what happened?"  Please, no.  Don't tell me I was right.  The nurse shifted a bit and looked down.  Oh no.  Twilight, my daughter. "Well, a white alicorn with a flaming mane came in and demanded the status of a patient we got recently."  The nurse shifted again.  "Miss Dash was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.  We are looking at her body now and it seems that the spell used against her was meant to kill the target by slowly draining away their life if they weren't killed instantly.  We couldn't do anything."  Celestia sat down on her haunches with her jaw open.  She punched the desk in front of her, leaving a rather large hoof shaped hole. "Damnit!  Why do I have to be right!" she yelled, causing everyone to stop talking and stare at her.  She felt a hoof on her shoulder and found a teary eyed Scootaloo behind her.  She embraced the young mare in her hooves and stroked her mane.  "Don't worry, the ones who did this are gone now."  Scootaloo looked up at her. "What about mum?  I know it was her."  Celestia went rigged, her hoof stopping mid-stroke.  She gulped. "Now we hope that we survive the next week." //-------------------------------------------------------// Death of the Twilight //-------------------------------------------------------// Death of the Twilight      The sensation in the back of Celestia's head screamed for her to lower the sun, even though she knew it was impossible.  Since her rise, Solar Beam has made it clear of the destruction she would create.  She kept the sun up all day long and brought it closer to the earth.  This created 24/7 extreme heat that would soon kill off the world.  In Celestia's eyes, she was more evil than Nightmare Moon, though she could never get rid of the fact that she was her daughter.      She sat in a magically cooled room with her sister, lover, and three grandfoals.  Scootaloo stared off in the distance as she stroked the manes of her crying siblings.  Chrysalis sat cuddled up next to Celestia while Luna looked out the window.  Celestia closed her eyes and tears escaped.        "I know what to do." she said quietly, but enough for everyone to her.  All eyes were turned to her. "But it will haunt me for the rest of my life."  Everyone but Luna raised their eyebrows at her.  Luna stared at her with wide eyes.       "Tia, you can't be suggesting-" Celestia stood up, causing Chrysalis to almost fall over, and glared at her sister with watery eyes.      "I have no choice, Lulu!  It's the last thing I want to do but I have to.  She is not even alive any more!  She lost hope and died.  Solar Beam is nothing but pure chaotic emotion in an empty shell!  I can't sit back and watch that."  Celestia sat down and cried.  Luna sat down next to her and stroked her mane.      "I understand.  Just promise me that you will not mourn too much over her once this is done."  Celestia took a shaky breath and nodded.  She thought a moment before turning to her sister.       "Is it possible to summon forth Solar Flare from grief?"  Luna's eyes went wide.       "Yes, but are you sure you want to use her?"  Celestia nodded.       "Wouldn't be the first time.  And I could use the help."  Celestia looked up torwards the sun, it's rays beating the earth in pure heat.  "I'm sorry, Twilight." she muttered. __________________________________________________________________________________________       Celestia walked out into the courtyard and looked up at her castle.  It's white walls were a dirty color from the abuse of the sun.  It had an empty look and feel to it, making it alien to her from the castle she remembered being in for over a thousand years.  How could a single threat unleash the next apocalypse?       Celestia focused deep on her grief and hurt, feeding into an entity that she used only once before and was afraid of using ever again. Her mane started to start on fire while her regalia turned soot black.  She opened her eyes to reveal two completely white spheres.       She took flight and headed towards her old chambers, the current hiding place of Solar Beam.  As she got closer, her stomach turned in knots, knowing full well what she had to do.  Her heart was torn in half.  It was screming yes and no, not sure what should be done.  Celestia landed on her balcony and entered to find Solar Beam waiting for her.      "I was wondering how long it would take for the two of us to meet." said Solar Beam as Solar Flare walked through the front door.  Celestia walked up behind her.      "So was I". Solar Beam stiffened and whipped around to face her.  She was met with something sliding through her chest and a sobbing sound.      "You should have never taken control of my daughter.  You destroyed her and now live in her empty shell."  She twisted her horn in the wound.  Solar Beam cried out in pain, causing Celstia to wince and cry more.  "Now, I must free her......even of O have to kill her."  She bared her teeth and looked up to see what she could of Solar Beams face from her postion.  "I hate you for making me kill my own daughter."  There was a flash of light and Solar Beam was launched across the room, going through Solar Flare's illusion and hitting the hallway wall.  Smoke rose from the hole in her chest.  Solar Beam the. Started to shrink then her coat and eyes gave way to lavender and violet.  Her mane back to its original colors and Twilight lay on the floor, looking up at her terrified mother.  She smiled warmly at her mother.       "Thank you."  That was the last thing she said before she closed her eyes and slumped forward onto the floor.  Celestia walked back to the balcony with tears in her eyes.  She opened her wings and summoned her magic.  The sun lowered down the horizon and returned to its proper place in space.  The moon rose after a few minutes.  Celestia gave a sad smile and walked back to her daughters corpse.  The wound was no longer smoldering and she looked almost peaceful besides the gaping hole in her chest her Celestia impaled her and casted a fire spell while her horn was still in her body.  She fell over top of the body and cried.        "I will meet you soon, my daughters." ________________________________________________________________________________________          Luna left the the three filly's with Chrysalis while she went to Celestia's room to see how she was holding up.  She got worried about how hard she was taking it after five hours.  She walked down the halls and stopped when she found her at the end of one.         She was propped up against the wall in front of her door and was stroking a purple and pink mane.  Once she got closer she saw that the mane belonged to Twilight who currently had a hole in her chest.  The tissue around it was burnt.  Celestia didn't look up at her and kept her gaze on the wall ahead of her.        "She said thank you."  Luna stopped in her tracks.  "I killed her in the most horrible way possible and she says thank you."  She turned to her sister.  Her eyes were red from crying and tears flowed down them.  "What the fuck did they do to my wonderful daughter to turn her into this?" she asked in a pleading voice.  Luna sat next to her sister and held her in an embrace.      "I've killed plenty of AntiCelestia members to protect my daughter and this one time I failed.  I failed BOTH of my daughters.  My grandfoals will now grow up without their mothers, Scootaloo will have to take up her mothers job and deal with losing two pairs of parents withing the eighteen years of her life."  She looked back up at her younger sister.  "Why do they have to keep taking away my family?"  Tears formed in Luna's eyes.       "I don't know.  But hey,  you still have Scoots, Prism, and Glimmer.  You still have Chrys, your wonderful marefriend.  And you still have me, your awesome younger sister."  Celestia smiled and nuzzled up against her sister.      "I think we have one hell of a press conference tomorrow."  Luna laughed.      "Don't worry.  You will clear Twilight's name.  You said it yourself, that wasn't Twilight in there.  That was a shell of Twilight being take over by raw negative emotion.  She is still the kind and loving mare with more than enough room in her heart for the world."  Celestia leaned her head against Luna's chest.      "Let's hope they see her the same way." //-------------------------------------------------------// The years after (Epilogue) //-------------------------------------------------------// The years after (Epilogue)        A young alicorn mare squirmed as an older alabaster unicorn mare took measurements and wrote them down.  Once that was down, she brought over multiple fabrics and held them to her dark blue body.  The alicorn blew a strand of rainbow mane out of her eyes and sighed.  Her sister sat on the other side of the room and giggled.  The white alicorn had a large grin on her face as she watched her sister sit still for the designer.      "Seriously, Prism.  You're even harder to get a dress on then your mother was." said Rarity as she held up a few pre-maid dresses.  Rarity noticed the distant look in Prism's eyes and mentally scolded herself.  "Oh, I'm sorry dear.  I keep forgetting how much you don't remember of them."  Prism smiled at her.     "No, it's okay, Mrs. Rarity.  Seeing as what I'm about to learn from my grandparents after the coronation, I'm sure we will learn more."  Rarity smiled.  Prism and Glimmer, who are now 28 and young alicorns themselves, were about to be coronated as princesses and, quiet possibly, fill in Celestia and Luna's horse shoes when they step down.  It was only a rumor, but she wouldn't be surprised.      "Yeah, besides, we still have Tia and Lulu to go to if we want to know more, as well as you four girls." said Glimmer, giving Rarity a huge smile.  "Oh, do you think Fluttershy is ready with the music?"  Rarity smiled      "My wife is more then ready and she promised it would be great.  You two have nothing to worry about, deary."  Prism looked distant again and gave a sad smile.      "Do you think our moms will be proud of us." she asked, looking out the window and into the day sky.      "Of course they wold.  Twilight and Rainbow would feel like the happiest parents in the world if they saw their daughters become princesses themselves."  Prism smiled and kept gazing out the window. ___________________________________________________________________________________       "So, how was Morpha's coronation, Chryssy?" asked Celestia as she held her wife in her hooves.  Chrysalis chosen a successor and stepped down a few days ago.  She still lived in the castle and held power, just not as she used to.      "It was alright.  The poor dear as shaken up and is still trying to get used to her new alicorn form."  Luna chuckled.  She was single again.  Twilight was not the only one to lose her wife that day.  Luna found Trixie's body in her room when she was finally able to get to it.  Her sister provided the same comfort she had after Twilight's death.     "Yes, I remember having to teach Glimmer how to fly and Tia didn't fair better in her teachings of magic with Prism.  Thankfully, they are now both well trained that I feel safe leaving things to them."  Celestia nodded.     "It only took us this long to find someone to take our places." joked Celestia.  The three alicorns chuckled.  Once they stopped silence elapsed over them.  Luna finally broke the silence.     "Do you think we should wait before leaving?"  The others looked at her for a second before going into thought.  Celestia looked up at her.      "I think, it's for the best they learn on their own.  We already left hints and tips for them so they should be set."  She looked out the window and smiled.  Tonight, she would lower the sun for the last time, and tomorrow, she will raise it for the last.  "I will see you soon my daughters." __________________________________________________________________________________________        Prism stood next to her sister in her light blue dress.  She wore crystal hoof guards and her hair was tied back.  Rarity mumbled how difficult rainbow hair was to work with when she was doing her mane.  Glimmer stood next to her in a light pink dress with her dark purple hair tied in a bun.  Glimmer looked over at her sister and giggled.        "Your mane looks funny, you know that?"  Prism glared at her.       "Hey, it's not my fault I have a rainbow mane!" she fired back.        "Well, you better get a liking to that mane knowing who gave it to you."  Prism and Glimmer turned around to see their sister walk up to them.  The fifty year old Pegasus still wore the same cocky grin as she always had.       "I thought you were going to be with the Wonderbolts tonight.  They are doing a show tomorrow in honor of the coronation today." said Glimmer, walking up to the orange mare.  Scootaloo shook her head.      "I'm in my fifties.  Try to break me some other time."  Glimmer giggled and hugged her older sister.  Prism came in from behind and tackled the two to the ground in a bear hug.  They slowly got up and brushed themselves off.  Scootaloo looked at the clock and sighed.      "Well, I better get in the crowd.  You two need to get ready to go out there."  She turned around and started to leave.  "Oh, and your mane looks funny, Pris."  Prism stuck out her younger at the older mare as she exited the room.  She sighed and turned to her twin.      "You ready for this?"  Glimmer laughed.      "Nope but we got no choice."  Prism chuckled and hugged her sister.      "Well, it can't be that bad." _____________________________________________________________________________________        "I can't believe you actually stepped down!" shouted Glimmer.  The coronation was over and they were currently relaxing in one of the rooms I the castle.  Celestia sighed and shook her head at her.  Both Prism and Glimmer were not exactly keen on the idea of the two stepping down.        "Like I said, our time is over and we need someone to take our spot.  That's why I taught you how to raise the sun." she said pointing her horn at Glimmer.  "And Luna taught you how to raise the moon, paint the sky, and enter and change dreams." she said pointing her horn at Prism.  "You two are to take over for us."       "But what will you do now?" asked Prism.  The three elder alicorns smiled sadly.      "Now we pass." said Chrysalis as she nuzzled into Celestia.  Celestia stroked the changeling's mane gently.      "Pass?" repeated Glimmer.  Luna nodded.      "Pass on."  The twins eyes grew wide as they realized what they meant.      "But you can't leave us to rule Equestria by ourselves!" yelled Prism.  Celestia put a hoof on the mare's shoulder.  She gave her a warm smile.      "The three of us have lived over a thousand years.  We have seen many go by, including my daughters, and its our time to pass.  It's something we want to do."  Glimmer tackled Celestia in a bear hug, Prism did the same to Luna.     "We will miss you." said Glimmer.  Celestia stroked her mane.     "You have the ability to enter the dream realm and meet us there.  Non will be completely lost." said Luna as she stroked Prism's rainbow mane.  She lifted the dark alicorn off of her while Celestia did the same to Glimmer.  The three elder alicorns stood.      "I think it's time." said Celestia.  She gave the younger alicorns a final hug, Luna did the same.  With that, the three alicorns glowed in their aura.  The light grew to the point where it was nothing but.   The light dispersed and three colored wisps flew out of the window and towards the darkening sky.  Yellow, indigo, and green.  The color of the three former princesses.  Later that year, three memorials would be placed by the two existing ones in the memorial gardens. ~The End~
