As I was on patrol, I saw a gathering around a house on 13 Fleming Drive, and I heard the angry shouts in my car. I got out of my car, and decided it is a riot around the occupant of the house. I got back in my car, and called for back-up with riot police.
I went back to the station and got in riot gear, got a bean-bag gun, a taser, and a baton. I went back to Fleming Drive, and found the police at the drive. We gathered behind the house, and made a plan. We would start by evacuating the house, which we assigned thee officers to. We heard one yell "And occupant of this house, you need to get out!" The occupant, a female, replied "No, go away!" The officer replied "Ma'am, if you do not get out of the house we will force you to, this is for your safety". The female replied "Well then I don't care" At that, they lined up against the walls of the house, an officer kicked in the door, and they entered. They eventually got out with the female, she was tanned so much she appeared orange, and wore orange clothing.
When the three officers returned, I, who was deemed leader of the police said on the loudspeaker "This area is an unlawful assembly, you have ten seconds to leave!" About ten people left, but there was about 50 to 70 people there so it didn't matter. Once the ten seconds were up, I proclaimed on the loudspeaker "Anyone who resists will be arrested." We moved in on the rioters and one man, with blue clothing and yellow hair ran at me with a bottle, and attempted to hit me with it. I hit him in the arm with my baton and dragged him to the ground, followed by his subsequent arrest. By the time we began speaking on the loud speaker, media had already arrived, so as you would expect this would make headlines. Anyways, the police began releasing tear gas, and yet people still attacked us. After the first arrest of the man in blue, about fifteen more people left. And with the release of tear gas twenty or so left, so leaving about 15 left who were attacking us.
We released more tear gas before a final charge, and five left, so ten versus about 30 riot policemen. Two at a time attempted to assault me, and one was dragged to the ground by me, and the other was helped to be arrested by another officer. Ten minutes after the beginning of the final charge, the riot ended. A total of 17 arrests, and 68 rioters, the riot got national headlines for "police brutality", but this was mostly from internet trolls who have no idea what they're talking about.
