//-------------------------------------------------------// Eclipse Over Equestira -by Spencer Lightning Write- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// chapter 1, awake the sleeping beast //-------------------------------------------------------// chapter 1, awake the sleeping beast It was night time over the peaceful land of Equestria, everypony has went to bed and the nocturnal animals have came out of their dens to rule the night. Princess Luna watched over the land, smiling she retreated from her balcony to her royal bedchambers for the night. The bedchamber was relatively new and it had took a while to redecorate, since it was an old storage tower, but, in the end, it looked almost like the Luna princesses' old tower, what was destroyed soon after her transformation. The ceiling was black and had Quartz spheres dotting the black myrtle-ebony wood representing the night sky, the walls, like the rest of the castle had a tall line of gold, but the rest of the walls where a dark blue, similar to the blue Luna was when she was released from her hate. The interior was nothing to special to look at either, there was a vanity mirror, a large, round, purple bed, with matching velvet, blanket, a large, pair of navy blue doors, the same color as her walls, a rug, that also represented the stars, on top of a simple, oak floor, and a few cabinets, and a large oak chest, with gold trimming. satisfied of her nights work, she would now roam the dreams of her subjects, she took of her breast plate, and slipped out of her hoof-plates, and sighed, Equestria was so different than it was one thousand years ago, it was simple, and the only piece of technology that was rarely used, was an abacus, oh she missed the simple times, she laid on her bed, and sighed, she eventually thought it was time to see what her kingdom where up to in the slumber, so she got comfortable in her large, round bed and focused on her realm of dreams, and was deep inside of her dream land within seconds. Over in the Everfree, the ‘Eye of nightmare,’ what remained of the mare in the moon silhouette, that disappeared over a year ago, believed to be the essence of Nightmare Moon, that the Elements Of Harmony created by expelling princess Luna's past hatred, and banishing it to the moon, shimmered through the leaves of the canopy of the mysterious forest, reaching towards an opening, near a dark castle, overrun by the forests' foliage, the castle of the royal pony sisters. The eye of nightmare flashed an orange light, blinking out of existence. The leaves of the Everfree trees surrounding the castle blew franticly, a small tornado of wind bristling the outline of the opening of the canopy. The wind grew stronger, and the very branches of the forest where torn off, In the centre of the chaos, a small orange-white blob blinked into existence, it rippled as the sound crackling lightning and that of a light chuckle follow, the sound of the light laughter poured out of the gelatinous, floating object. The blob grew at an amazingly fast rate, the child-like chuckle deepened, and changed into a more maniacal laughter. The blob sprouted four stumps on its lower-half, and a larger stub, out of its upper-hemisphere. The four stumps grew into one meter long, slender legs, and the big stump at the top of the laughing object grew a muzzle, and two craters and a large dagger-like bone near the top of its skull-like shape. The figure changed color, from a dull orange, to a glowing white. The mass of white, grew in detail, in mere seconds, it looked exactly like that of an equine skeleton. The skeleton then covered itself in layers of red muscle tissue. It then sprouted two; sharp, white spikes on its side, which also had a layer of muscle. More spiked appeared on the main spider leg-like spike, the rest of the body then covered itself with a thin layer of light-grey skin. The two holes on the front of the head grew two white blobs, with a slight shade of red; the left adapting a black slit, and an orange iris, and a black pupil in the centre of the white and orange blob, the other red tinted circle glowed brighter, a pinkish, jagged, scar line emerging though the eye. A dull grey-blue skin stretched across and filled the gap between the jagged, grey, spikes, creating a large pair of grey bat-like wings with a red trimming. Large, red, metallic armor, with an orange trim sprouted on the figure, connected by chain-mail. The armored thestral-unicorn’s hooves touched the ground, he wore a similar helmet and hoof-plates to the fallen Nightmare Moon, except he had a large chip on the right of his helmet, and he wore full-body armor, his mane and tail where like the two reigning princesses, except it was a dark purple, and it had an orange trimming. A grin emerging, revealing his dagger-like fangs, he looked at his surroundings, noticing the moon, without a silhouette, his smirk, turned into a devilish grin, he took a deep breath in, then laughed, his entire body adapted a dark, blood-red aura. “yes, at long last, I am free from that cauldron of a prison, and that, wasteland that once held my foalish moron of a sister” his voice reeked of anger and was saturated with a hatred growl “Fear me Equestria, for your king is back, and he is bringing back the death penalty” his twisted laughter continued, his horn glowed a large, orange aura, and an even larger, red aura. “for I am Theia (Fay-a) Eclipse,” an impossibly large, orange, magical charge of energy, with an orange spiral, gushed out of his horn, the beam of magical lightning attracted a hoard of storm-clouds, they engulfed the entire sky for at least a 500x500 km area around him. Theia’s maniacal roar of a laughter echoed across the seemingly endless sky of clouds “This is my kingdom again, Celestia Eclipce, so surrender to your brother and your ‘little ponies’ may live!” his laughter continued, as the sound of crackling lightning was heard, and the screen grew darker and darker, until it was as dark as the intentions of the angry god, Theia. Author's Note I think that went well, tell me what you think, as I said already, constructive criticism is allowed. (edited more, it needed its' grammer fixed!) -Lightning //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2, you could have chosen better //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2, you could have chosen better I shot out of my bed, my eyes wide with shock and my vest covered with sweat. I strained every fiber of my body, trying not to scream. I mentally kicked myself after realizing where I was, the 2x3 bedroom of my apartment. My pupils shrank to their regular size, and my heart rate returned to normal. I looked at my bed, even though I wear glasses, I could tell it was a shipwreck: the pale-grey blanket looked like a rabid dog shook it with its foaming maw, and my mattress was showing in many locations, and my pillow looked like it was dragged through a hedge backwards, it was battered worse than a car after a demolition derby, and the insides where spewing out. I reached for the cabinets next to my 'bed', and blindly took out my glasses and IPhone. I put on the glasses and glanced at my phone, "Shit, I've got 15 minutes! Damn you Shaun, why can't you wake me up?" I instantly jumped out of the wreak of the Titanic, and ran towards the wardrobe. Hi, my name is Zachary Anderson, and no I am not a Brony, but my roommate Shaun is… it drives me mad, but the only reason he's here is so he helps pay the rent. I've seen a few episodes -by force- before which where… that's not the point! Now why do I have to do this again? I mean, the forth wall is only for movies, or TV, I'm just talking to a wall, Pinkie. "Oh silly, it's for the viewers!" yea, I'm not buying this Pinkie, I need to go to the throne room, remember? "I know! That should be in chapter 9… or whenever it's written!" Oh… Kay then *Twenty five minutes later* I parked my BMW outside, on the left side of the main entrance, and I rushed out of my car and barged onto the school grounds. "Shit, shit, shit, I'm gonna be late!" I said through my teeth, as I sprinted past the science gardens and burst through the double doors of the science wing. "Welcome, students to 'returning of biology'. Today we will be-" Dr. Marshall said, his attention suddenly drawn to me, "Ah Zachary, nice to see you got out of bed early this morning, stay here after class." He said, blackly. The rest of the class started to snicker, and a few of them burst out laughing. Dr. Marshall turned to the rest if the class, pointing at them, "SILENCE!" he roared "that will be you too, Cameron, Tom, Sophie, Jessica." He said the last name as if it were dirt, as he wrote the names in the board. I sat down at my regular seat, and took my pencil case and my biology book out of my worn-out rucksack. "Now, as I was saying, welcome, students to 'returning of biology,' today we will go over the basic tools and the anatomy of a rat." The old science teacher said, as he pushed his small glasses further along his nose. "Now, everyone take the standard scalpel, out of the pot next to you, and do not take off the safety cap off, Dan!" he said, giving Dan Taylor an accusing look, Dan instantly put the sharp object on the long, white desk in front of him. I complied, and took the metal tool out of the light red pot, on my right. "Now, students what is a scalpel use-" Dr. Marshall tried to say, but for some apparent reason... He stopped. Puzzled, I looked around me, and everything was...still? everyone made no sound or motion, they just stood there, like statues, really, everything was tinted grey. "Hello?" I said, waving my hand in front of Dan Taylor's head, the stone teen holding the scalpel, still with the cap off, like he was going to stab someone. I patted his head, and put the scalpel, which was the only thing I could see that was not tinted grey, in my left pocket, and stood up and started to walk. I walked towards the front of the room, and stopped in front of the stone doctor. I thought I would play a little and I prodded him with my right index finger, he did not move even a fraction of a millimeter. This time I placed my entire right hand on his chest and pushed hard on his cold stone-like ribs, to the same conclusion, bored, I flicked his large nose and walked to the door on the right side of the classroom. I gripped the Handel with my left hand and tugged, no reaction, panicking, I put both hands on the Handel and put my right foot on the wall and pulled with all might, still to no avail. I ran to the other door and did the same action I did to the other door, still no response. "Shit, what do I do, what do I do?" I said, grasping my head with both hands, my heart rate that of a bullet train. Just then, I heard a creaking sound. Without a pause, I turned to see the cause of the disturbance, and ran to the door screaming for help. The interactive white-board tore itself from the wall, stone-paint and wires breaking off the back and rose to the ceiling, the paint burned away, revealing the bricks. The cement melted like ice, and the bricks moved inside the classroom, arranging themselves in a circle, that turned around, towards me. Then, with a crack of lightning, a small gold circle-thing appeared the centre of the grey brick circle. Then, several dark blue tendrils poured out of the weird gold cylinder, many more of the slender appendages came out, until it filled the brick circle. The gold circle sank into the rippling mess of navy blue. And then, the brick wheel began to spin, then, without warning, a black figure entered the room, it had four legs, each one had blue, metal boots it had an equine shape, but it had turquoise eyes, that where shaped like a dragons, it wore eye shadow and a helmet, which also was blue. It had a blue breast plate, which wore an image of the moon, its wings where spread and where standing tall, it also had a tall, black, spiraling horn, with a dark blue aura. I knew what, no who it was, but my mind was rubbing it's metaphorical eyes in disbelief. Standing before was the regal figure of the fear bringing, the mare of eternal night... Nightmare Moon "Oh sh- "Zachary Anderson" she bellowed, in the regal, royal Canterlot voice "Come with me, for I am in need of your services" She finished, stretching her left wing towards me. "W-w-why?" I asked, trying to look small and weak, "I will explain later, now get on my back!" "Wait... you w-want me? And through there is- "Equestia, yes, now get on my back, I have already wasted one equestrian month trying to find a warrior, now obey me, AND GET ON MY BACK!" She yelled, stomping her hoof on the grey floor of the biology lab. I complied, and climed onto the back of the suppost to be fictional, and mythical, creature. "Hold on," she said, her voice sounding normal, and fear striking. Doing as told, I grabbed on to the clam of her chestplate. Suddenly, she turned a sharp turn to the left, facing the portal, jerking my body to the right. Nightmare Moon sighed deeply, and turned her head to me, "I said 'hold on', what do you not understand about that?" she said, flatly, "You better have a better grasp when we are several hundred hooves in the air.(1) I gulped, and dug my hands deeper into the armour, and pressing my body closer to hers. The coal alicorn then streached her wings, and galloped staight into the shimmering portal. "Oh SSSSSHHHHHIIIIIIIIII- My shouts where drowned out, as I was dragged out of my world to the next. Author's Note Yea, I know, the ending is a bit cliche -Lightning //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3, a plan to smite a god //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3, a plan to smite a god I prepared myself for entering the portal, by holding on to Nightmare Moon's coat and closing my eyes. I felt the blue mass of goo trickle through my fingers and slide up my arms, it felt like water with fairy liquid in it, all wet and weird. I felt the last of the gelatin substance run down my leg, I opened my eyes, and gaped in awe. Below me was Equestria. But something was different? "Err... Nightmare Moon, what happened here?" I asked. "Please Zachary, call me Luna," she said, her voice slightly calmer "As for your question, it will be answered in good time" "But, you look like... I mean- "It is called a rage-shift, where a magical beings' anger flows directly into its magic, giving it a power overload. It works by- "Luna?" "Yes, Zachary?" "Could you tell me it simpler, please?" I said, trying not to annoy the night princess. "Ok then," she cleared her throat, and looked directly at me, "I'm Nightmare Moon, and when I'm Nightmare Moon, I'M ANGRY!" she shouted, her voice sounding like it could cause a volcanic eruption. I cringed at Luna's booming voice. "That... Makes, sense." I said, my ears ringing, it was like two hammers hit both of my ears at the same time. "Where here." Princess Luna said, l shook my head and looked down, "Ponyville?" I asked. "Yes" Luna said, bluntly "But what about Canterlot?" Luna stopped in mid-air, and gave me a glared at me, her dragon eyes as sharp as daggers, "We will talk about that later." She looked down and began her descent. We landed by 'The Golden Oaks Library.' "Get off" Luna said, I complied and slid of her back. Luna shook herself, she lit up her horn, then she engulfed herself in a strange, glowing, white aura. After a minute the aura disappeared, revealing the younger version of Luna, her coat was a bright blue, and her mane was a slightly darker shade of blue. She walked towards the door, her horn glowing a dark blue, she walked up to the door, and tapped the door with her horn five times, every time the door rippled with a purple shimmer. The door opened, revealing... Spike? "Hay princess," he said he opened the door further, and then the purple dragon saw me, and ran off, inside. "Well... That was- "Awkward? Indeed." Luna finished, as she started to walk inside. She stopped at the archway and turned her head towards me, "Are you coming?" She asked. "Okay." I said, as I walked alongside with the Luna monarch, inside the library. The library looked almost exactly like the cannon: but there were more bookshelf s, but most of the books were missing. The small round table with the wooden zebra head is gone, and replaced with a large, oak table. Sitting next to the table where; the bearers of the elements of harmony, five members of the royal guards and the day monarch herself, princess Celestia. Princess Celestia also looked different as well, she looked smaller, and her mane was short and pink. Twilight stood up from her chair, "So, this is the champion?" She asked "Yea, I thought he would be like, taller." Rainbow Dash said, skeptically, her forelegs crossed. Luna stepped in front of me, "Yes Miss Sparkle, this is the champion." Luna said, reassuringly. "That is good news, sister." Princess Celestia said, happily. "Yea, that's great and all, but what is he?" A small voice said. I looked down and saw an orange and pink filly prodding my foot with her hoof. I kneeled down, next to the blank flank Pegasus, "Well Scootaloo," I said, ruffling her pink mane, "I am a Homo Saipan, more commonly known as a human." "So, you are a overdressed shaved ape?" The lavender unicorn said, curiously. I looked at her, slightly offended. "Yea, basically." I huffed. "Do you wear clothes all the time?" A white mare with an amethyst mane asked. "Yes?" I said, confused. Rarity looked thrilled; her smile could only be matched by Pinkie Pie herself. "Yer' al'rite, Rars?" Asked the tangerine mare. "We are getting off topic, here," Celestia said, sternly. "Agreed sister," Luna said. "So, can I know why I am here, and why you are calling me 'The Champion'?" I asked, getting irked, myself. "Yes you shall, but please, take a seat Mr. Anderson." Celestia said, kindly, giving me a large chair, with her magic. I took the chair, and sat at the far end of the table, my legs crossed, the CMC sitting on my left, looking at my posture, and princess Luna on my right. Princess Celestia straightened herself, and looked across the table, "Just over a month ago, my and Luna's brother, Theia Eclipse, escaped from the sun." "But, princess," Twilight said, "Isn't the sun escape-proof?" "Yes, my little pony, on pony can get to Equestria from the sun, but Theia, escaped to the moon!" "That's obscured!" Luna said. "I know, sister, but a one and a half years later, six months after Nightmare Moon escaped, Theia escaped is Luna prison by hopping asteroid, to asteroid- Apple Bloom giggled slightly " until he found his way to the Everfree Forest. There, he used the magic in the air to restore his body." Celestia's horn glowed, a bright gold, showing an image of the thestral-alicorn. He was a dark grey, and his mane was navy blue, with an orange his eyes where range, but his right eye was blank, with a pink scar running through, and his smile bearing dagger-tip fangs. His cutie mark was a white circle with orange Sun rays behind it; it was surrounded by purple, with a red trimming. "What does his cutie mark mean?" I asked. "It represents the eclipse blocking out the sun, and bearing the night." Luna said. "After Theia's body was complete, he retook his place on the throne... As king," Celestia said, dryly. "Is that why you and Princess Luna look younger?" I asked. "Yes, Zachary, he took my kingdom, most of my power, and by tomorrow, the Crystal Empire!" "How can we stop him!" I said, hitting the table with my fist for emphasis. "We can only help you, Zachary." Luna said. "What does that mean?" I asked, already feeling it in my gut. "Zachary Anderson of planet Earth," Celestia said, standing up, her wings spread, "You, and only you can stop Theia Eclipse, king of Equestria, the fate of Equestria, lies squarely on your shoulders." Everypony, including me, looked dumbfounded, their mouths agape. I felt like I was about to collapse, but Rarity beat me to it. "You... Expect m-me to... kill a god?" I said, stuttering, "B-by... myself?" "Worry not, Zachary Anderson, for I will be with you, all the way" Luna said, "And besides..." Celestia said, a wardrobe appearing besides me, "You have these." The doors flung open, revealing; a katana with a golden blade, a suit of steel armor, with gold trimming, without the helmet and left hand, a golden necklace with an amethyst centre, attached by a glistening, metal chain, a large goblet, a bow, and a saddle, all emitting a golden glow. I held the golden katana on the palms of my hand, noticing it had the word 'champion' calved into the blade. I turned to Celestia, a smirk plastered to my lips, "What's the plan?" Author's Note Hope you like it! Constructive criticism of compliment, or I delete your comment -Lightning //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5, Awake and Recovery //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5, Awake and Recovery I opened my eyes, I was in a dark room. I tried to move my let hand, but it was strapped to some metal bars, tiny tendrils digging into my arm. I looked at my right arm, it was encased in some sort of smooth rock. I tried to move my body, but it was tied down by a thin, but soft material. I tried to wriggle out of it, but my hip and right leg was was trapped in the rocky substance. I head a beeping sound, coming from my left, I looked at it, and saw a tall, slender pole, with a large box attached. It made four short beeps every second. It had a thin tentacle, feeding through the cuboid, the other end lodged into the left side of my chest, where my heart was. I panicked and tried to reach it with my left hand, causing the tentacles to tare off. I tried to wince, noticing my jaw was wired shut, by a large metal brace, holding my jaw together, a thin snake-like appendage, slithering down my gullet. I brutally, yanked the tendril, out of my chest, wincing, the box-thing on left emitting an annoying, constant noise. A light came to life above me, the sound of doors opening followed. I looked around, seeing mint curtains surrounded me. The curtains ruffled, and large shaddowes appeared. The curtins slid open, my heart was pounding my ribcage, my pupils that the size of pinpricks. The figure stepped out, and I mentally shot myself in the foot. A unicorn stallion entered the room, he was a light brown, with a darker mane, his eyes were blue, and he wore a doctors jacket, and a green tie. His face was soaked with fear "Oh my, I thought your heart stopped!" He said, in a slight Irish accent. I stared at him, unsure of what was happening, so many questions I want answers to, but my jaw was wired shut. "Hello, I am Doctor Hooves." He said. The Doctor rubbed his fore hoof on the back of his head, his mouth moving slightly, trying to figure out what to say, "Did I say that? Well, when we found you, you err… you broke your pelvis, five ribs, you broke your jaw, muscle tissue, dislocated your left arm, lost three teeth, your right Fibula, wisted spine, fractured your Femur, Ulna, your left shoulder blade, all of the Carpals and three Metacarpals in your right hand, fractured the back of your skull in two seperat places, punctured your left lung, minor brain damage, shards of obsidian, gold, steel and gold where found inside of your body in seperat places, and a horn below the knee. And with the aid of current magic, your coma only lasted two and a half weeks!" He finished, taking a deep breath in. I was utterly mortified, how was I still alive? How close was I to dying? "But now, your jaw should be fully healed now, since it has been about a fortnight, and we used magic and some other medical stuff, so lets get that brace of you." The Doctor said, levitating a screwdriver, it had a black and cream handle, a silver shank, and a blue blade and tip. The Doctor pressed his screwdriver on the sides of the brace, twisting the screws out, then pulling them out with his telekinetic grip. After two minutes of waiting and wincing at the returning pain in my body, the final screw and brace was removed, "There we go Mr. Anderson, you should be able to speak now." Doctor Hooves said, happily. I wasted no time, and I moved my jaw, "Where... A-am Iiii?" I said, slowly. The Doctor smiled, and trotted next to me, "Well, Mr. 'Savior of Equestria' you are in 'Canterlot Central Hospital.' You, and the princesses' where sent here right after my medical team found you." I looked at him, then remembered Luna and Cadence. "Wait, w-where is Cadence and Luna?" I asked. "Well, their beds are next to yours, just move the curtains, but I recomend you don't look, they both took, quite the bruising," He said, flatly. His ears then perked up and he lifted up about five small bags, "but you, on the other hoof, you have a lot of fan letters to go through." Chuckling as he placed the small bags back next to a small, oak table, with numerous items scattered on it I turned back to the similar sounding doctor, but he was gone. I decided to do as the Doctor said, and began to rummage through the first bag. Inside of it where small recangular cards. I took out about five and looked at them, the first one, was a light purple, with a dark pink trim, on it was a thick human stick figure, drawn with a grey crayon, it was sitting on a black stick figure of a horse. I looked to my left, then to my right, I sighed and looked back at the card, on the top of the card, was golden glitter, spelling the word 'Hero' I smiled and looked inside. It was hard to read, because the writer used used a purple crayon or something and the writer had scribbly 'hoof' writing. By the looks of it, it was supposed to be a sort of thank you. I looked at the other side, in a silver glitter, spelt the name 'Dinky'. I smiled, then my eyes widened, "Wait, did he say two weeks? Have I been in a hospital bed for two. Flipping. Weeks?" I thought outloud. I then put the cards and letters to the side, and looked around the bed. I settled my eyes on a small chair on my left, on top of it was a newspaper. I placed the small article on my lap, and looked at it. "The Equestria Daily?" I asked myself, laughing a bit. "Well, lets see what you've got. Manehattan reconstruction, Everfree stampede, reborn monarch dead, hello, 'Alien warrior in hospital'?" I looked at my arms, and wriggled my fingers, "Well, I guess that's true." I said, chuckling. I heard a slight groan, coming from the curtain from my left. I sat up, wincing as my spine clicked in several locations. I reached for the curtain, but as my hand approached the mint barrier. "Pinkie!" A stern, feminine voice said across the hallway, "How many times did I say 'do not bring a party cannon to a Hospital ward!'" "But Twilight," moaned a loud voice, "He is ill, and party cannons make ill ponies laugh." "Pinkie, I don- "And laughter makes poorly ponies better faster." "Pinkie, ah don't reken' he's ill." Said a different voice, this one bearing southern dialect. "Yea Pinks, he beat Celestia and Luna's brother in a hoof-to-stubby-thingy fight. And he was a bat-alicorn thing. So… basically, a god!" A forth voice said. My eyes widened, as my back clicked in several places, and my eyes drifted to the right, where the noise of the ponies emitted. I fell back onto my bed, trying to not look suspicious. As I covered my torso, with the mint blanket. The slightly open curtain, was forcefully yanked wide open, light racing in, like a rock through a window. "SURPRISE!" yelled a blurry, pink mass of fur. I cringed, and blocked my eyes and ears from the onslaught of light and sound. A slight "Eep" was heard as the sound of squeaking wheels echoed down the hallway of the hospital. I put my arms down in curiosity, and instantly regreted it. a mass of pastel confetti, streamers, and baloons pushed me three inches into my matress and pillow. it felt like I said to Mike Tyson "Give me your best shot, pigeon-boy!" while I flipped the bird at him with one hand, and punched a pigeon with the other. "Pinkie!" Yelled Twilight, stopping Pinkie from pulling the cord again, "do you know how many ribs he has already broken?" Pinkie 's mane deflated, and her coat darkened a shade' "Sorry Twi" she said, hitting her canon on the side, all the party decorations flying back into the cyan cannon. "Can I please get an explination to what the hell is happaning?" I groaned, picking off stray confetti from the mint-green hospital robes. "Oh yea," Twilight said, stroking the back of her head with her lavander hoof, "Well, now that you are not in a coma, we wanted to see how you where doing, and ask you more questions before your big heroes party tommorow." She finished, with a squee. "Heoes party?" I asked, knowing the answer already. "It's a super duper party for awesome ponies, or monkey things, where you meet other awesome ponies like the wonderbolts, the princesses', and some other pony celebrities, and have hero cake, and a shiny medal!" Pinkie Pie blurted, in her fast tone. "A medal?" I thought out load. "Aww, I ruined the suprise!" Pinkie said, facplanting onto the floor, where her weapon of mass confetti destruction had just been. "Any-who," Twilight sighed, steering the conversation away from the party to come, "Can I start asking some questions now, mr. Alien-warrior-monkey-thing?" "Kay, how many are they?" I asked, "and please, call me Zachary" I finished. "Precisely, thirty five from me, around ten from Apple Jack and Rainbow Dash, about twenty from Rarity, and- Over nine thousand from Pinks!" Rainbow said, giving The tangarine mare a nudge. 'This is going to be a long day', I thpught to myself, as I was about to face an endless aunslaught of questions. This it tak'in forever, Ace!" A blue, unicorn stallion with yellow mane and eyes yelled at a larger Pegasus stallion, with a red mane and darker blue coat, "We have been search'in for two bloody weeks, and we still have not found that stupid body yet!" He continued his rant. "For the last bloody time, we are being paid by Princess Celestia herself, to find the body of her brother, who put the other two princesses, prince Shining Armour, and some alien samurai in the hospital! Now shut up, work harder, or we don't get paid!" The younger stallion turned around, and grumbled some undecodable rant. The Pegasus walked over to a another pile of rubble, and hit it with the spade(1) wrapped between his wings. The navy blue stallion continued to dig away at the gravel, stone, snd obsidian, which made up the the rubble of the destroyed utopia. Before Ace gave up, he saw a sticky, purple residue, ooze from the black rock, "Smells like moldy blood," he grumbled, "hay rookie, get over here, I found some- but Ace was cut off, as his voice was cut off by a purple tendril. The unicorn dropped his spade, and ran over to the blue Pegasus. "What the shit is this!" He yelled, as Ace's mouth, and was filled, and his body restrained with the rotten, purple goo. The dark purple slowly turned red as it entered the stallions vains, replenishing itself, as more of it filled the stallions body. "Shit, shit, shit, I gotta get out of here!" The other stallion yelled, running, but he fell over after several feet. "Get off me, you SICK FUCK!" He screamed, jerking his hind leg, trying to remove the bloody tentacle. Turning his head, he saw the former comrad, his coat was pale, his mane was gone, and his eyes where blank, and as bright as the night stars, "Oh I do not intend to, untill you are complete!" His voice was deper, and brung the sound of death, which shattered the young unicorn's spine. Ah he uttered those words, the flesh of the unicorn bubbled, like it was in a vat of acid, and the muscles melted away, revealing a bone of charcoal, all the while the yellow mane unicorn cried, and tried to retaliate from his tourture. "What d-do you want from me?" He tried to say, as boiling blood dripped down his muzzle. "Your body, to use to raise an army, and that horn!" The words where still ice, tearing at his flesh. As the rest of his hind legs melted, another bloody tentacle formed on the possessed pony's other hoof. it bent itself, until it was the shape of a sword. He smirked as the blade cut the flesh of the unicorns scalp, slowly reaching the magical core of a unicorn. He then jerked it to the right, tearing the bone from the cranium. By then, the hornless unicorn fell into unconsciousness, and his lower torso was dissolved. The severed horn was picked up in more red tendrils, it was them placed on the scalp of the Pegasus, spiraling tentacles attaching it in place, the rest of the pony was dissolved, leaving only the stained skeleton. The blank eyes, and the horn, of the technically-an-alicorn, glowed red, with an orange tint, the eyes of the skeleton doing the same, scratchings in its bones pulsing with a red fluid. "Soon my army will be rebuilt, AND I, THEIA ECLIPSE, WILL DESTROY THE WORLD, AND ALL WILL BE DUST!" Theia laughed a devils cackle, as the sky darkened, and all chance of hopes salvation, dust Author's Note (1) yea, I'm English Anyway thanks for reading, more gore on the way, and remember Comment or constructive criticism, or I delete your comment! -Lightning //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6, fall of the crystal empire //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6, fall of the crystal empire "Question twenty five," Twilight said flipping through her notebook, "How long is your species' lifespan?" "In England, where I was a few weeks ago, the average lifespan is about... Err, 78, but I might be a few years off, and around the rest of the world? I cannot remember!" I finished, answering her one hundredth question. "Now onto twenty six, only nine more after this, so how do your species reproduce?" That was the last straw, I could not answer that, even though there were weirder ones, "Twilight, there is no way that I am going to answer that!" I said, trying not to sound too harsh. "But why?" Twilight moaned, "It's for science!" "I know, it's… err… how, its… can please can we move on, maybe Rainbow Dash wants to ask some questions now?" I said, turning to the rainbow Pegasus who looks like she has been watching a blank screen for too long. "finally!" she groaned, walking besides me, "Soo, Zach, dose your planet have anything that can fly?" She asked, stretching her wings, "Yes, we have birds, but no dragons. Humans also invented machines that can fly. One of them even reached a speed of over 13,000 MPH before crashing into the ocean!" I replied, snickering at the ponies' low jaws. Rainbow Dash shook her head, and looked me strait in the eyes, her eyes seemed irked and confused. "Are you sure? Or are you just trying to make your planet sound more impressive?" She said, not sounding as calm as usual. "No I am sure, and most commercial air rafts can reach an altitude of 35,000 feet." I continued, seeing how much Rainbow could take, but it looked like she had reached her limit, "Twilight," she yelled, waving her hooves in the air, "please tell me that the samurai is lying!" "Samurai?" I asked, not expecting an answer. "Sorry Rainbow Dash, Zachary is telling the truth." She answered flatly, "How do you know?" Rainbow replied "I know, because I secretly put an 'lie detector' enchantment on him when he first entered the library so we could see if he was to be trusted, which he has done more than enough to prove it, sorry Zachary. And yes, Samurai, it is one of your many nicknames, I actually have a list here if you want to see it!" She answered cheerfully, giving me her notebook. I looked down the page, seeing some odd names here and there; Alien warrior/ Samurai/ warlord/ saver The great destroyer/ devourer/ slayer of gods The god of war/ blood/ death Hero Hairless, overdressed, ape Ninja of gold/ blood/ death/ the blade Bringer of death/ carnage/ blades/ conquer A beast? A blood thirsty animal? 'Hang on there' Death incarnate The apocalypse? Equestria's downfall? The punisher The man of iron and gold (not that bad) 'Thats it!' "Twilight" I said sternly, "what the hell are these?" I finished, giving her back the notebook. Twilight looked at the last the last ten or so names, her face looked irked, "Oh, right," she said flatly, "these where from Manehatten, the Canterlot nobels, and a few more from Prince Blooblood" she finished, her, and rarity's face wore a sour expression. "I say darling, you, Luna, Cadence, and nearly Twilight's brother, almost died to save Equestria, and other nations! and they treat you like some alie- I mean wild animal, or dirt!" Rarity yelled, hitting her hoof against the polished floor of the hospital. "Wait, what happened to Twilights brother, Shining Armor?" I asked, seeing the lavender unicorns face of sadness. "I can answer that!" Said a brown unicorn stallion, entering the ward, "he lost half his hind, left leg, lost four liters of blood, broke his spinal cord in two places, both near the pelvis, fractured his skull, chipped his horn, and a few teeth. And from what I heard from him, he said Theia decided to have some fun, and hit him with the flat of his larger sword, in the groin!" he finished, trying to still sound like a mixture of professionalism and insanity, with a hint of Irish. Twilight's eyes started to well, as she heard of the injuries to her beloved brother, who lost his leg, his job, and nearly his own, and wive's life. Theia walked down the streets of the Crystal Empire, eagerly anticipating that bloody flag to be torn from its post, and replaced with the bodies of its rulers to make sure there are no rebellions from the other nations that wanted him dead. As he walked past another street block, another horde of earth pony guards, with pointy sticks approached him, "Stop! You have violated over seventy rules of the Crystal Empire!" Said the guard with purple tinted armour, "drop your weapons and we will go eas-gggaaarrr!" He was cut off as his throat was crushed like paper, and a thick blade dug through his intestines, like it was air. The other pony guards where lifted in the orange and crimson aura, and with a smirk of Theia's twisted lips, the steel armour melted, the manes, tails, and flesh of guards' burst onto an array of orange flames, like Calcium to water, their screams like sweet nectar to Theia. And as the flames died down, and the scorched skeletons of the guards' set in mounds of metal, Theia continued is stroll down his burning hell, that he called 'memory lane.' "Where exactly is he now?" I asked the doctor, he looked at the clipboard in his blue aura, "He should be getting a replacment leg in the theatre, but I am not sure." He replied, flipping though the pages, "And by now, the princess of the night should be awake, but medical magic is hard to decifer." He finished, using his telekinesis to move the curtain slightly to the left. What was beyond the curtain was a sight, with no way to explain in the form of text or words. On the bed, was the not-so-regal, and shattered body of Princess Luna, but most of her body, and her head, where in a thick cast, two inch of her horn was surgically attached to the rest of the bone with metal bars, her left eye, muzzle, and half her torso where all the you could see, and running down her shaved torso, was a humongous gash, held tight with stitches, stretching from shoulder blade, to rump. A thick tube from a machine, went through her mouth, exposing many of the teeth that were missing, showing off her blood-drenched gums. Her right hind leg, was held up in the air, pools of the crimson life fluid, coated the cast. Everypony, and me, in the room looked mortified, no word to explain their faces, but a mixture of sorrow, horror, shock, and depression, "She looks absolutly dreadfull" Rarity said, quietly, her tears welling up, "At least you weren't there, and saw her reaction to Cad- wait how is Cadence? I forgot about her after I was nearly drowned by Theia's B+ blood, at least, that's how it tasted." I finished, seeing the Doctor's smirk. "Well, she is fine and awake, you want to see her?" He said, already pulling the mint curtain, exposing the princess of love to me, and the mane six. Cadence looked perfectly well, apart from the raised leg, with a cast around it, and the bandage around her chest. Beside her, on the bed-side table, was a pile of books, and a white card, with the insignia of a dark purple shield, with a lighter, almost pink, purple star cresting the centre of the shield. She was awake, but her bloodshot eyes, and her cheeks, where soaked with tears, and sorrow, and she was staring blankly at the ceiling. Cadence sat on her crystal throne, even though she wanted to help her people with her husband. The argument still ringing through her head. "Please, this is my kingdom as well!" Cadence pleaded to her beloved husband, "No, it is too dangerous, he will kill you!" the armored unicorn replied, trying walking towards his wife, his spear held tightly in his purple aura. "But he will kill you too, and, and pl-please, I want to help, and he-he has- "Cadence, I know I might die out there, but you know what? I will die for you!" He finished, brining his alicorn wife into a passionate kiss. "Goodbye, sweet prince," Cadence whispered, as the last trace of his husband left the throne room, her cheeks drenched with tears. A loud *thump* irrupted the love princess from her dazed state, knowing she had to hide, she galloped towards the nearest curtain. *thump* "AND THIS!" yelled a deep, muffled roar, another, but less load *thump* echoed through the not-so-crystal chamber, as blood trailed underneath the door, and obsidian arteries spiraled into the room, breaking the door hinges, and a red and white blob flung into the room. "SHINING!" Cadence cried, running to her bleeding-out husband, her face like a phantom's as she saw Shining Armor's bleeding stump "Oh poor shining, whatever will you do now, without your GUARDS, AND YOUR HUSBAND!?!" Theia yelled, baring his dragon fangs, his red and orange aura coating his body, a blood-soaked leg in his magic "Cadence... Run *wheese* J-just... run." Shining wheezed, as his head slumped to the floor, his breaths becoming ragged. Cadence complied, and galloped to her throne, which is now entwined obsidian veins of corruption, and with her little magic that was left, she jerked the amethyst from the throne, the seat of the throne opening, reveling a tunnel. Cadence looked back one more glance at her dying husband, then the god that tore his leg off. "You have a ten second head start, run little pig!" The Thestral-Alicorn said, trotting towards the throne. "1" "2" 'escape, and leave Shining, or fight, and die?' "3" "4" 'Escape?' "5, why are you not RUNNING!" ’Fight!' "6" "7" "Eig- AAARRRRRRR, MY EYES! YOU BITCH! Theia screamed, rubbing his eyes in responce of the flare Cadence shot. ’fight' Cadence's horn glowed a bright blue, two machetes, made of pure, cyan magic. "NINE TEN! NOW DIE!" He jerked his head up, a pillar of obsidian submerging out of the ground, engulfing Cadence, and hurling her through the ceiling. Theia smirked, as he summoned jagged, spiral steps out of the pillar, and as he walked up, the muffled voices of guards could be heard through the door, "I will NOT let the guards interfere with my fun THIS TIME!" he yelled, obsidian spikes jutting out of the ground, blocking the doors of the throne room, as Theia continued his ascend. Cadence was spitting blood, as she crawled towards the balcony, all the feeling in her lower torso left her. "Your suppose to crawl back to me, SO I CAN CRUSH YOUR SKULL!" Theia laughed, grabbing Cadences numb, and bleeding leg with his magic, tossing her onto the banister. As he dragged Cadenza towards him, the pink alicorn saw a black spec flying through the broken, orange forcefield, 'mother' Cadence thought, as the world slipped away from her, and she slumped into unconsciousness. "Cadence?" Twilight said, softly, putting her lavender hoof, against the soft, light salmon-pink fur of her princess foal-sitter. Cadence instantly snapped out of her trance, and jerked her head towards Twilight, and she slowly turned her head to the rest of us, "Twilight!"She exclaimed, wrapping her fore hooves around the unicorn, showing that her right hoof was in a cast, and several small scar-lines. Finally, our eyes met, and her crooked smile, with a light scar running through it, widened, "Thank you, you saved my life, Luna's, my love's, my people, and Equestria, I cannot express my gratitude in any way, Mr. Er... Ur-" "Zachary, Zachary Anderson" I replied, cutting her off, "Thank you, Zachary" she said, softly. "Oh, where is Shining?!" Cadence blurted, franticly looking in other directions for her beloved crippled husband. "Do not worry, princess, your husband will technically be back on all three soon." The doctor jokingly reassuring the pink alicorn. "Wait? What do you mean!?" "Do not worry, he is fine, and in surgery." The doctor replied, heading out of the ward. "Hay princess?" I asked, "I have a question; when you got knocked out, why did Luna call you her 'daughter'? Wouldn't she be on the moon at that time?" I finished, everypony in the ward gawping, even Cadenza, though her expression also contained some nervous facial expression. "I can answer that one," said a regal voice, as a white alicorn walked through the curtains, "Princess Celesta!" Cadence and Twilight said in union, "Yes, my little ponies, and to answer your question, Zachary, when an alicorn wishes to bare a normal foal, she must mate, but to bare an alicorn, she must make it out of magic!" "But princess, wouldn't princess Luna still be on the moon?" Twilight asked, "Yes, but an alicorn dose not bare an alicorn in her womb, but a cocoon, and depending on how strong you are, but at that time, when Luna, and I where nearly five hundred years old, it would take almost a thousand years, nine hundred and eighty to be exact!" The solar monarch finished, chuckling slightly at everypony's faces. "I-it, it is true, I, I am *cough* I'm Princess Mi Amore Cadenza's mother." Wheezed a weak and tired, but regal voice, coming from the bed to my left. Everypony looked at the battered princess of the night, unaware of her consciousness, "And I am glad that she is awake, and thank you, Zachary for slaying my brother, he *cough* he deserves Tartarus, and everything he ge-" "Celestia!" Moaned a rarther stuck-up voice, "Haven't you already sent that space chimp back to the zoo yet?" He continued, entering the ward. "Blueblood!" Cadence yelled, trying to lift her hooves up at the alabaster prince "Hay, who are you to talk to me, after I saved your flank!" I replied to Blueblood's remark, "Me! I am prince Blueblood, nephew of princess Celestia, I can banish you in a- "Blueblood!' Celestia barked, glaring daggers at the Prince, "how dare you act like that, and even worse, the saver of Equestria, and in front of me! I have lost almost all my family in the past month. Now please go and leave us in peace." She finished looming over Blueblood, who now has no longer a smirk on his face, but a horrified gawp. "But auntie, it is extremely ghastly, just look at his muzzle!" Blueblood, rudely, replied. My right eye, which nothing looked hazey with, twitched, "Listen here you little twat!" I hissed, trying to sit up, "Auntie! Protect me!" Blueblood yelled, hiding behind a heavily sighing Celestia. "Oh god, my back!" I yelled, slumping onto the hospital bed, "Yes, take that you uncouth brute! Isn't that right everypony? What is it? PAY ATTENTION TO ME, SIMPLETONS, I AM YOUR PRINCE! Everypony?" Blueblood finished, looking at Celestia, who looked like she was just impaled. "Princess?" Twilight asked, concerned, trotting towards her mentor. "MUM!" Cadence screamed, the attention directed towards princess Luna, who was clutching her chest with her one free hoof and foam formed in her mouth "Princess!" yelled a royal guard, galloping into the solar monarch, "Are you alright, we have urgent news from the Crystal Empire!" He said keeping the slightly shrinking princess standing, her mane now short, and light salmon pink. "Wha- Ggghhhh what is the problem, commander!" Celestia moaned, gritting her teeth, "There are heavy riots in the Crystal Empire." The guard answered, still holding the younger-looking princess in his hooves, "But the empi- Nnngg the empire hast been evacuated!" Luna said, looking how she did when the elements redeemed her, "I know princess, the riots are from the dead!" Author's Note This one took ages to plan, but I hope you like the flashbacks! That, and I went on a steam train, got chased by a dog that looked like it had rabies, and just couldn't be asked to do it EDIT: I also had to take this down to rewrite many parts of it. -Lightning //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4, to kill a thestral king //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4, to kill a thestral king I soared through the air at the speed a bullet train would have had a problem keeping up with, on my trusty steed, Nightmare Moon. We were flying low, a few meters above the frozen wasteland of the north. I wore my glowing armor, goblet, and necklace, and Luna wore her blue armor and saddle. "What's the plan!" I yelled through the storm. "we go to the Crystal Empire, confront thy brother, and SMITE him!" the princess yelled back. "How long until we get there?" I said, my goblet covering my face. "We have five point two four one minutes." she replied. "So, what's the story on Eclipse, then?" I asked. Luna turned her head slightly towards me. "We where siblings, we and our sister defeated Discord, he became the king, because he was the eldest, I went into depression seventy years later, we heard of an empire under threat, one escaped to warn us, his name: king Crimson Quartz the third. He betrayed us for his protection, but Sombra killed him anyway, king Sombra injured my brother. Me and my sister banished Sombra, but lost the glistening empire. Brother was sent to hospital, we and Tia became the monarchs. After a while, Theia changed, he became a Thestral-alicorn, and grew fangs. He became ruler again. But, every so often, he would order a pony to enter the castle. I and Tia found that he drank the blood of the ponies! He 'played' with them! He would 'play' with their bones and organs" she took a breath to calm down, "We and Tia had no choice, we fought Theia, and destroyed the old capital, which is now the Everfree Forest, trying to stop him, we lost one-sixth of our growing nation. After a while, I came to the curse that was bestowed on my 'brother'" she said it as if it where dirt "then... I became...Nightmare Moon." She finished, looking as if she would cry, I looked mortified, my mouth agape, "That's twisted!" I said, shivering at what happened. "Never mind, we are here" she said, nodding her head in the direction of the Crystal Empire, famous for glistening, even when things look slim...But not this time. The blue dome was now a deep orange, with more holes than a changeling's leg, Luna instantly went to full speed, fearing the empires end. We charged through the broken barrier, both of us gaping in horror, as the fields of grass wilted and caught fire, as houses slowly transformed into masses of obsidian. The Crystal Castle, the centre piece of the kingdom, was already a standing, obsidian structure, with barley any glowing spots left. The streets where flooding with dull-colored masses of ponies struggled helplessly to escape small, orange cages, that could barley hold one pony. "Castle!" I yelled, Luna complied and flew in the direction of the obsidian Eiffel Tower. Luna flew as fast as she could towards the black spire, she tried to get to the balcony, but was grabbed in a orange ball. "Greetings, sister," said a deep voice. Luna looked down at the balcony, "Cadence!" She screamed. Looking down, I say what Luna was screaming at, on the balcony, was the battered form of princess Cadence, next to her where two katana’s with steel blades. Standing on the broken, right hind leg of the pink princess was the armored form of Theia, he smirked at his sister "She was just too easy, Lulu," he said, lifting Cadence's chin with his grotesque wing, "All it took was- "NEVER CALL ME THAT, YOU MONSTER!" Luna screamed, in the royal Canterlot voice, Theia only laughed at the amateur threat "Or what Lulu, you know how much I love 'cutting' you with my taunts." He said, calmly hitting the pink alicorn’s cheek with the spiked tip of his bat-like wings, cutting her flesh, Cadence screamed in agony, Luna's eye twitched, "DON'T YOU DARE HURT HER; YOU KNOW WHAT SHE MEANS TO ME!" Luna said, her voice an eldritch screech, tears welling up in her eyes. Theia laughed even more, he dug his hoof deeper into the fracture in Cadences leg, her crying was filled with screams of agony as her already-shattered Third Metacarpal was being grinded against the red and orange metal. Luna sobbed as she hit the barrier with her hooves, she looked at the pink alicorn's face, it was bleeding and crying her left eye was a black bulge, her muzzle was soaked with blood that oozed from her nostrils, her fur was dark and damp from tears and dried blood. I sat on Luna's back trying to make sense of the situation, I put my right hand on the sobbing monarchs' shoulder. Luna shot her head up, her face damp, her sobs replaced by screams of anger, she stood up, and shot her brother a glance that could stab a dragon though its titanium scales, "THEIA ECLIPSE, YOU HAVE KILLED COUNTLESS AMOUNTS OF PONIES, YOU MAY HAVE DRANK THEIR BLOOD, YOU MAY HAVE FORCED THEM TO EAT THEIR OWN FLESH, YOU MAY HAVE KILLED THEM WITH THIER OWN ORGANS, BUT YOU NEVER, AND I MEAN NEVER, HURT MY DAUGHTER"(1) The barrier that one held us melted into hot lava. Her colours inverted; her coat looked bleached, her mane a bright golden brown. Her serpent eyes glowed an unnatural shade of red, which would put Tartarus to shame. And her armour exploded in heat, as the gates of hell where blown off in her tempest of anger that could consume anything and everything in its path. Theia smirked and threw the helpless body inside the black-rock castle. He then flew towards his raging sister. The glowing 'Luna' did the same and they both flew together at a speed which could almost break the sound barrier. Theia, drifted hazily to the left, letting his spiked spike on the tip of his wing collide with his storm of a sister, and leaving a meter-long gash on her side. Luna, (with me on her back) spiralled into the walls of the castle, screaming like a Windigo. She broke through the one-meter wall of the castle, I cringed as the large chunks of obsidian slammed into my armour, leaving gashes of skin showing. Luna broke through the next wall, this one was a quarter of a meter thick, but it was still painful as more off the shards pierced Luna and me. I broke the enchantment on the saddle and jumped off the alicorn, as she hit another wall, this time she created a large crater and slumped onto the hard floor. Is stood up and cringed with pain. I looked at my right shoulder pad, it had a large dent which grinded at my bone. I grabbed it with my large goblet, and tore it off, it was like taring paper, and it came off easily. I heard a weak groan from behind me, I turned around, "Luna!" I cried, as I ran towards the light blue figure. I turned her over, and my eyes began to well up with tears, "What happened?" Luna muttered through her broken jaw, her breathing getting weaker. "Luna, don't do this to me!" I cried. I the heard a small chuckle, my face hardened as I turned around to see the monstrous face of Theia. "Do not worry, cryfilly," he said, grinning, "She will live, as long as you can stop me, or until the last of her blood oozes onto my clean floor, because you could not save her! Ooh the sorrow is just simply delectable," he sighed with happiness as he then spread his wings. "I am going to rip. out. Your. Throat, you son of a bitch" I yelled, as I drew my katana. Theia smirked at that remark, he then lit up his horn, and two swords appeared next to him, one blade was three meters long and a quarter of a meter wide, the other was a dagger compared the first, but it was double sided and each blade was a meter long. "You do not threaten me with that sword, nor will I pity or give you mercy." Theia said, spinning his double-sided sword. "You say 'show no mercy' when you wish for it more than ever," I said, dryly, pointing my sword at him. Theia smirked, and then lunged his great sword at me. I rolled to the side, dodging his blow, Theia, on the other hand, saw it coming and bucked his hind leg, kicking me in the pelvis. I grunted and swung my sword to the left, hooking it onto the chain mail that kept his boot to his leg armour. I twisted the katana, and dug it down, and pulled the sword towards me. Theia gritted his teeth at the sword cut into his lower-leg. I kicked the armour, digging the sword deeper into his leg. I twisted the katana again, breaking off the armour. Theia screamed in pain as a chunk of his flesh slumped onto the floor. He swung his thick sword again, and it lodged it into my left shoulder pad. He hit the hilt, causing it to pop off. I looked up at him, and grabbed his horn with my goblet. I jerked his head to the left, then hit his face into the wall. He blindly lunged with his double-sided sword, I ducked, and it hit the wall, snapping the blade in two, I smirked and hit his face again with my fist. He cursed through his clenched teeth, as he jerked his head to the right, and hit me in the back of the head with the flat of his great sword. I flew to the right and slammed into the wall, beside Luna. I looked to my right, and looked at Luna's face, she was still breathing, but slower than before, I looked at the gash across her side and hind leg. I looked forwards, noticing Theia was walking towards Luna, his great sword grinding on the black floor. "Tsk, tsk, tsk, and here I thought you would be a worthy opponent, looks like little Lulu is not going to make it." His lip quivered and his good eyes' pupil enlarged, he snickered again revealing his large fangs, I lifted my right hand, only to be stopped by half of the double-sided blade, "Please, I prepared for the elements of harmony! You think I would not prepare for a spiked fist?" He said, I only smirked, "No, but... But did you prepare for this ?" I asked, kicking him in his groin, causing Theia to scream, his blade fell to the floor. I seized the opportunity, and grabbed the blade, and ran towards him "Enough!" Theia shouted, blasting a wave of energy, knocking me backwards several meters, my armour falling to pieces. I tried to get up, and yelped in pain as a large, throbbing pain came from my arm. I grabbed my arm and looked at the god, he held a golden dagger connected a chain necklace with a gold and amethyst gem inside, hanging on the end. I looked at my chest, seeing that my magic dampening necklace was gone, I looked back at Theia, his dagger glowing a bright orange, and the necklace burst into flames. He smirked again "You really thought I would not know my sisters' tricks?" He asked his dagger glowing again "Looks like Lulu's light just burned out" he said, a large ball of energy emitting from his dagger, aiming it at Luna. I was too far away to intercept the blast, so I looked around me, and saw my battered chest plate. Theia's dagger shot the flaming ball of energy at the heavily wounded princess, I grabbed the still glowing metal and ran towards Luna, and threw the chest plate in front of the princess. The two objects collided, destroying both of them in an explosion, shards of steel and gold flying in all directions. I took the chance and darted to a closer cover to Theia. I looked around, to see if there was an object of any use, I only found scraps of armour… and the bow I dropped when crashing through the walls. I picked up the glowing object, an arrow materializing in my right hand. I drew he bow, the arrow catching fire, I crouched next to the obsidian wall, a large blast of energy tearing off more chunks of the volcanic rock. I took a breath in, and leapt out of cover, doing an aileron roll, before firing a flaming arrow at his grotesque leg, that was missing a chunk of flesh and muscle. I landed behind another obsidian wall; I got another arrow and drew the bow again, and looked across the room, seeing that the arrow had shattered his fore-right kneecap, and was boiling his blood, causing him to howl in agony, "I will slit your throat, like I slit my sister's side!" he screamed, barley holding the dagger. I launched another flaming arrow at him, this one going through the bace of his right wing. Theia dropped the dagger as he felt a lightning bolt running through his body. He turned to look at his wing, there was a large gash running through it, and it looked like the arrow had torn several nerves, causing him collapsed onto the floor. I dropped the bow and ran towards the dagger. I grabbed the dagger, and aimed it at his barrel. I smirked and the dagger glowed orange, blasting a ball of energy into Theia's stomach. Theia was blasted onto the balcony, the explosion tearing off his right wing, most of his left, his fore-right hoof, and most of his armour. I walked slowly towards the balcony, stopping only to pick up my golden katana. I stopped several feet away from the squirming god. Upon closer inspection, I saw half of his face was gone, revealing the torn muscle tissue, cracked jaw, and fractured skull. His horn was chipped and cracked, and shards of metal where lodged into his skin. I was a few ribs and bones jutting out of his body. I also saw one of his arteries' where showing, where half of his fore-hoof was before. He looked at me a face of disgust, and snarled, "get... Away from me!" he wheezed, I only smirked in response, "Your artery, wings, leg have been severed. Your most of your thirty six ribs, your jaw, most of your intestines, and many of your other bones have been broken. Both your lungs have been punctured. Half of your face is gone. And I could snap off your horn and leave you to rot on this balcony, because you have at least have five minutes before you die of blood-loss, your lungs filled with blood, or your ribs stabbing your heart," I said bitterly, "But, I want the final blow, you, worthless excuse of a god, a king, and a brother, you little. piece. of. SHIT!!" I shouted, aiming the dagger at his face, letting it glow brighter than magnesium in pure oxygen. He winced as the heat boiled his flesh, I squinted, trying to see his face. I then jerked my arm to the right, shooting where the castle and the balcony connect, causing a gigantic explosion. "You fool!" Theia stuttered, "you've kill us both!" I smirked, "Not unless one us makes it out before it falls." I said, raising my katana above my left shoulder, with both hands on the hilt. Suddenly, I felt a sharp object dig itself into my right leg, snapping my Fibula like a twig. I dropped my sword and screamed in agony. I then felt a charge of energy run though my body, bursting a nerve or two. I fell to the ground, paralysed. I heard a scream of shock; I looked down, seeing Theia's horn was torn off, and lodged into my right leg. I tore off my right sleeve, and tore it in half; I wrapped half around my hand, and the other in my mouth. I took a deep breath in. And bit hard on the sleeve, as I yanked the horn out of my right leg, a fountain of blood escaped my artery. I took the sleeve out of my mouth, and tied it around my leg, under my knee, to stop myself from bleeding out faster. I got onto my stomach, and crawled towards the screaming god. I used the horn to get myself onto my knees, then I chucked, the beaten horn back inside the castle. I turned back to Theia, who was struggling to get onto his three and a half hooves. I stood up, panting, I trudged towards the god. I lunged at him, catching Theia off guard. I landed on his stomach, winding him. I began punching his monstrous face repeatedly. He tried to kick me with his stub, trying to stop my blows with what was left of his grotesque leg. Theia spat at me, I put my hand to my face. He then whacked his metal hoof-plate on the side of the head. I collapsed onto the floor, Theia rolling on top of he. He then proceeded to punch me in the face with his metal hoof-plate. He then shoved what was left of his fore-right leg into my mouth, attempting to choke me with his blood! I tried to push his leg out of my mouth, the pressure feeling like it would snap my jaw off. My arms became limp, as my vision blurred. My throat was being stretched as the blood constantly filled my lungs. I was about to give up, water welling up in my eyes, Theia's voice slightly faded, but I could still hear it, "looks like little Lulu's friend will die knowing that he failedher!" Theia laughed, shoving his leg deeper down my gullet. I still felt like I could do something, but I couldn't. 'What, what's that?' I thought, keeling something in my left pocket. I pulled it out, seeing a metal rod, with a plastic cap,the scalpel! I took off the cap with my thumb. I looked one more time at Theia, closed my eyes, and hit his face with my right elbow, then I jabbed his right eye socket with the scalpel. Theia screamed, as the blade penetrated his skull. He yanked his leg out of my mouth, and fell over, landing next to the balcony. I turned over instantly, throwing up a large amount of blood. I tried to stand up, the hole in my right leg pulling me down. I limped slowly towards the dying monarch, trying my best to smirk with a busted jaw, "Now for my phynal t'ik," I said, putting my jaw back in its socket, "I vill... Ahh, there go, for my final trick of the night, I will make a scalpel... Disappear." I finished, waving my hand for emphasis. "Abra," I said, stomping on the scalpel, lodging it into his brain, Theia screaming an eldritch howl, "Kadabra!" I finished, twisting my foot on the metal stub, Theia's mangled body slumping onto the hard, black floor. (2) I spat on his corpse, then I walked back inside the castle. I grabbed my katana, and I walked back to the balcony entrance. I looked down at the crack that was separating the balcony from the castle. I held up my sword, and plunged it into the gap, causing the crack to enlarge, the balcony, and its passenger, starting to collapse. I grinned, then looked back inside the castle. "No, Luna!" I cried, running to the bleeding monarch, she has been bleeding severely, her breathing was jagged, it looked like she had broken a lot of ribs. Her heartbeat was faint, but still there, her chest rose slightly, and slowly. "Luna!" I said, tears welling up, "Luna, wake up, please... Get up." Tears where flowing freely now, I had no idea what to do, "W-wh… w-where's… Cadence?" Luna whispered faintly, her head collapsing onto the cracked floor. A feeling of nausea welling in my head, my vision became blurred, and my entire body ached, and I felt lightheaded. "Not...not now" I wheezed, turning to see where Cadence was, my body becoming limp. I shook my head, gritting my teeth, my brain feeling like a train-wreak. My eyelids drooped, and my face lost its look of sorrow as my aching body slumped onto the once again white floor as the entire castle was turning back into its normal state. Author's Note 1: expect an apology for this un-canon thing, I think not. but to make it up, I cried a little writing this. 2: great magic trick, right? -Lightning
