"FALL BACK!!! FALL THE FUCK BACK!!!!" Was the last thing one of the survivors said before being devoured by zombies. Before the slaughter, the survivors numbered over 600, now they only number 70. 530 people killed in less than 1 hour. How does that happen, you ask? Easy. One of the survivors went crazy, saying that all hope was lost and that they should all just accept the new food chain. Right after he said that, he let the undead in by blowing one of the walls of the fortress with 20 pounds of C-4.
That's makes a big boom.
It also lets every zombie within 5 miles know their exact location. Which leads us back to the current situation. The last of the suvivors start to fall back, but freeze when they hear a shreak from hell itself. They call it a banshee since it's the closest thing to one. Just like it's namesake, it's loud, ugly, and beyond deadly. But it's not the banshee that they're afraid of, it's what comes after that's got them pissless.
Leapers. Fast little fuckers, nuff said. They're mutated undead the size of dogs, able to scale walls and ceilings with claws that make up the entire fingers, and can jump around like a flea with the speed of a doberman pinscher. A lot of ammo is always wasted trying to kill them. This time is no different.
15 die before the first of 12 is killed by an arrow in the head, but it's the one who killed it, however, that gives the leapers pause. Standing in between the remaining 55 men and women and the leapers is one of the leaders of the the survivors, Shadow. Standing at 6'9, he's covered in black leather with metal plates in the jacket and pants, black armored gloves, bladed black steel toe boots, and wields a black military issue hunter bow with black pure steel arrows and a custom made sword at his waist.
"I'll hold them here. Send a flare when you're all back at home base." And with that, he went back to killing the leapers. As the rest retreat back, not wanting to anger Inugami more than he already is, he went back to killing the leapers with ease. Years spent killing all matter of undead have given him skills he could get any other way, as well as a few abilities. 11 more well placed arrows later and the leapers are no more. After retrieving the arrows for later use, he holsters his bow and falls back to base.
There he sees the rest of his own trained fighters in the mix. Reapers, that's what the others call them. Trained to use stealth as their main weapon, they are also train in the use of the bow and arrow, as well as a broad sword. The Reavers work like a clan, with ranks and weapons fitting said rank. They were made for the sole purpose of finding and bringing back other survivors, so they're not good in drawn out fights.
But that's where the other clan comes in. Standing at the table in the makeshift war room is the other leader, Flare. He wore white and crimson armor on his hands and legs, but nothing on his arms and torso. At 8'11, he's easily the worlds tallest man, but add in the fact that he looks like a shaved long legged gorilla on steroids and he's a fucking god of war. He leads the rest of the warriors called Berserkers. As the name suggests, they wield heavy weapons like war hammers or executioner axes. Flare, on the other hand, uses a combo of the two. It looks like a hammer, but on the other side is half a battle axe, like he chopped the two in half and stuck the two halves together. Berserkers, unlike Reapers however, use firearms for ranged combat. The lightest gun, however, is everone's favorite SAW, while Flare uses two chainguns.
As you can guess, Reapers are meant for speed and Berserkers are meant for strength.
"Hey Shadow, how it look topside?" He ask with a bit of worry in his voice. Shadow looks to the floor with a defeated sigh. "Not good Flare, just killed some leapers, after they killed 15 more men. We're all that's left. We won't make it." There in a silence through out the room as the news sinks in. "I guess it's time for 'plan B', then?" Shadow asks with a determined look.
Flare just grins. He walks to the center of the room to grab the everyone's attention. "All right boys and girls, here's the deal! We're all gonna die!" Many begin to cry, but then Flare continues. "But just because we're not gonna see the next sunrise doesn't mean we can't go out in style!!" All are silent, confused, but inspired by his words. "Those fuckers want to make a meal out us, then I say let them try, but we won't go without a fight!" Some start silently agree with him, but there are still those who are unsure. "There's no way any of us are gonna live through this, so what do you say we give them something to really choke on?!" More start to cheer, but there are still the scared. "I know that when we started this little operation, you all wanted a better life than what we were all dealt with. Well, let me just say this, that's no longer a choice. The way I see it, we all have two choices. One, we can stay down here like rats and wait for them to come for their meal. Or two, we can go out there like wolves and tear them the FUCK APART BEFORE WE BLAST THEM ALL STRAIGHT BACK TO HELL!!! SO WHAT SAY YOU ALL?! ARE YOU RATS, OR WOLVES?!?!?!" There was not one soul who was silent after that. All were cheering for the glory that awaited them.
All cheered, but Shadow.
Like Flare, he knew what the plan was. Set a makesift bomb to blow the reactor, destroying 1 mile of landscape and any zombie with it. And themselves. He didn't like this plan, but he knew it had to be done. He just wished his students and friends didn't have to pay the price.
It was a grand day. The sky was clear, the sun was shining bright, and the foals were playing their games. Yes, it was a great day in Ponyville.
