Searing Shield is both an Alicorn and the current Envoy of Flame, but for the last three hundred years she has remained cold and temperamental towards other ponies, acting hostilely towards even her tutors, the Princesses Celestia and Luna. Celestia and Luna both attempted to help Seeri, but she always dismisses their concerns. Desperate to save the fiery Alicorn; the Princesses send out a cry for help that crosses time and space to find the one pony that could ease her suffering and help Seeri find herself once more.

So, yeah. For those who've read "Dawn of a bright, new life", this is the story that spawned the OC Searing Shield and also sparked the idea for "The Rising Elements" project that is currently in the works... release date unknown for "Shield's Line" so don't get (too) excited. Now I'm gonna be honest, this story was more of a "concept work" than anything else and we're... still not really sure how it'll fit in the canon of "The Rising Elements", so until we figure that one out, this story is a kinda separate timeline from the series.
