The Arrival and the Greeting
Pinkie Pie held her binoculars to her eyes.
"Woah. It sure is dark outside."
Rainbow Dash shook her head.
"Uh, Pinkie, you forgot to take the lens cap off, and you're holding it backwards."
The pink mare glanced at the binoculars, then slapped a hoof on her forehead.
"Oooooh! I always mess this up! Well, we're in the right place at the right time, but where's the new pony?"
"Who cares? First, I have to come with Fluttershy to that lame butterfly migration, now you make me come with you for a newcomer's arrival."
"I always do this! But I only go alone, but since today, a prince is coming, I thought I'd bring you all!"
Rarity pushed Rainbow aside.
"Prince? As in... Royalty?"
Pinkie Pie replied with a simple nod of her head, while Rarity just fainted and landed on the oddly large bush that the gang were hiding behind.
Soon...
Ice Fire trotted smoothly along the dirt track said to lead to the town of Ponyville.
Ice Fire was a young prince who lived in another land not far from the borders of Equestria. He decided to explore the outside world and soon heard of Ponyville from other travelers he had met along the way.
"Here I am." he whispered to himself as he approached a large woden arch with a sign that had the words "Welcome to Ponyville! Where all ponies are welcome. Population: 984."
Ice Fire smiled and used his magic to levitate a chipped stick of chalk out of his satchel he was carrying with him around his sides and wrote "+1" on the sign. right next to the population number. He placed it back in the satchel, came through the arch and was met by the sight of a simple but majestic town.
He was in.
After setting his forehoof right through the arch, he was soon met with the image of a pink face smiling at him while he smiled back. The mare all of a sudden pulled out a blue cannon out of nowhere, then activated it, shooting confetti on Ice's face. He didn't get the chance to react to the greeting, because he was pulled from his position and into the mare's forelegs. He was being pulled into a hug. Soon, the mare shouted,
"Oooooh! It is so great to finally meet you, prince Ice Fire!"
Not very longer, a white unicorn with a curled purple mane came shooting out of the large bush to Ice's right, and stammered.
"P-p-p-pleasure to meet you, prince..."
She bowed down before him as if he were an all-powerful emperor.
Ice put another smile on his face, took the mare's hoof, and kissed it. He's heard so much about this mare during his travels.
"Ah, you must be Miss Rarity. I've heard a lot about you during my trip to come here. My name is Ice Shardonia Fire, although you may just call me Ice Fire."
Rarity whispered to herself, "He knows my name!" and shouted out loud, "THIS IS THE BEST... POSSIBLE... THING... EVER!" and fainted on a fancy couch that basically spawned behind her.
"Where did that couch come from?" Ice Fire thought out loud.
The pink mare replied with a simple shrug.
After a second of silence, the pink mare finally introduced herself.
"My name's Pinkamena Diane Pie! You could just call me Pinkie Pie! AlrightsoI'llbeofftoprepareareallycoolpartytocelebrateyourcomingheretoPonyvillebecauseitmustbereallyspecialtohaveaprinceheregottagobye!"
Ice Fire didn't make out the words Pinkie Pie said after her introduction, but he did hear something about a party for him. What nice ponies there are here.
Not longer, four more mares came trotting out of the large bush. One was a cyan pegasus with a rainbow mane, another was an orange earth pony with a cowgirl hat and freckles, another was a pegasus with a pink mane and a shy look on her face, and the last was a lavender alicorn with a crown on her head.
Ice Fire waved his hoof to the four mares, while saying "Hello!" The lavender alicorn came towards him.
"Hi, my name is Twilight Sparkle. These are my friends. Here's Fluttershy-" She pointed her hoof to the yellow pegasus, who backed down.
"-Applejack." She pointed her hoof to the earth pony, who tilted her hat towards Ice Fire and smiled.
"-and Rainbow Dash." She then pointed in the direction of the cyan pegasus, who was hovering above the ground with a smug look on her face.
Ice Fire kissed each of their hooves, then asked the alicorn a question.
"Are you part of royal blood? I see you're an alicorn, so you must be related to the Princesses."
The alicorn glanced at her wings and began flexing them. She replied to his question with a shrug.
"I honestly don't know."
There was even more silence.
Ice Fire was just thinking about this place he'd just stepped into. He was genuinely glad that most of the ponies he had already just met weren't freaking out about him being part of royalty.
"So... Can I ask for a tour of the town?"
The mares had no chance to say anything, because Pinkie Pie came gallopping back.
"Did I hear something about a tour?"

"...And this is Sugarcube Corner!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed while pointing her hoof towards the bakery.
"I work here, and my bosses are Mr. and Mrs. Cake! Here at Sugarcube Corner, we sell a lot of delicious treats that'll fill you up good! Lemme show--"
Ice Fire held up his hoof.
"Okay, Pinkamena. You don't have to go so fast."
Pinkie Pie giggled. "So-rry! I'm just soooooooo excited~" She jumped in the air, with her legs fluttering.
Ice Fire smiled at his new friend's delight about him being in Ponyville. During the tour, it was just him and Pinkie, as her friends insisted that they go alone. They all said they needed to get back to their "important duties." Ice didn't really know why they sped off so fast.
Pinkie Pie pushed open the door to the inside of the bakery. It was bright and pink inside, with different types of cakes and treats displayed on silver trays around the room. Behind the counter were two ponies. One was an orange stallion, and the other was a blue mare. The blue mare rushed out the door before Ice Fire could introduce himself.
The orange stallion smiled. "Welcome to Sugarcube Corner! You must be new in town- Ah! Prince Ice Fire!"
The stallion came around the counter and in front of Ice and Pinkie, and bowed down before Ice Fire, just like Rarity did so.
Ice, trying to show he was just a normal pony, held out his hoof. The orange stallion looked up and shook Ice's hoof.
Pinkie Pie appeared between them. "Ice Fire, meet Mr. Cake!"
Ice Fire smiled again, which was probrably the sixteenth time he did so that day.
"Sorry, Icey, but Mrs. Cake is out, she said she was going to buy some ingredients for a secret recipe- Chimi-Cherry-changas!" Pinkie shouted all of a sudden.
She then sped off somewhere so fast that Ice Fire didn't even see what direction she went. Then one thing came to his mind.
Did Pinkamena just call me Icey?
