Rainbow Dash is the captain of every sports team at Ponyvle Middle School. Every Fall, the 8th graders have a series of athletic contests. The winner get's fifty dollars! Rainbow knows she's the only one who could win, so no sweat. But, when a blonde, freckle-faced cowgirl from down south moves to town, Rainbow Dash might have some competition. Will these girls become instant rivals, or will the cowgirl have no idea what is going on?

Rainbow Dash squatted down to the ground to tie her shoelace. As she heard her name called, she stood back up and shouted,

"Here!"

"Alright, everyone. Do you all know why you're here today?" Coach Soarin' asked the crowd of boys and girls gathered around him on the soccer field. Most of the students, including Rainbow Dash, nodded or said,

"Yes." But, some didn't.

"Well, for those of you who don't now, which you should, we are here today to tryout for the track and soccer team. Those of you who make it onto either-or BOTH-teams, will be allowed to compete in the Ponyville Middle School's annual iron kid Competition.
