The story takes place in Ponyville, around canon time. Derpy Hooves, is having some struggles in life. Getting around a abusive fiance, and economic troubles. Somehow, the pegasus gets around these things, loving her job as a Mail Mare (Although it does not pay so well), and always having a smile on her face when it comes to anything. With a friendly "Hello!" to every customer, everyday, Derpy goes around Ponyville being a extremely friendly mare. Her coltfriend, Jet Lag, is not doing as well as his happy fiance. After a factory accident in Canterlot, he has lost all his magical power, and becomes lazy. Sitting around all day in a house he shares with her, when Derpy comes home, he often yells at her, and calls her names. Derpy still somehow rubs it off and smiles, still excited about marrying the stallion. Things however, go down hill when she figures out she is pregnant.


(It is possible this has been done before. However, this is my own idea, and I am doing it in my style. Do not be turned away from the teen rating either, or the sex marking. It is just ideal for the audience to be older to understand the topic, and pregnancy comes from sex. Sex will be mentioned, but not in detail. )
