Pinkie Show Tonight S1 E1 - Kermit the Frog
"Kermit the Frog? Oh Kermit the Frog. Twenty-nine seconds to curtain Mister Kermit the Frog."
"Thank you Ditzy. I'm getting flashbacks from years ago, sheesh."
"Can I give you muffin?"
"Sure," Kermit took it from Derpy's hooves. "do you want these talking carrots in return?"
"Hi, I love your mane. P-P-PLEASE DON'T EAT ME!"
*GASP!* "It's... It's... It's... SO CUTE! My friend Carrot Top will love it!"
In the Manehatten theater there was a giant title card with the words "The Pinkie Show Tonight", and Pinkie Pie opened the lid in the hole of the lower case G in tonight. "It's the Pinkie Show Tonight, with our special guest star: Kermit the Frog!" The giant title card raised.

A row of female performers and staff walked in from the left to the right of the curtain.

♪It's time to light the light.♪
♪It's time to put on a show on the Pinkie Show Tonight!♪
Now the opposite happened. A row of stallions from right to left.
♪It's time to put on make-up.♪
♪It's to brush just right.♪
♪It's time to raise the curtains on the Pinkie Show tonight!♪
Two strange looking old... things sung something from the right balcony of the theater. The short on left began.
♪Why do we always come here?♪
♪I guess we'll never know♪
♪It's like a kinda torture.♪
♪To have to watch such show!♪/♪To have to watch the show!♪
Pinkie came dancing on stage, she sung the next part.
♪To introduce our guest star,♪
♪that's what I'm here to do!♪
♪So it really makes me happy,♪
♪to introduce to you:♪ "Kermit the Frog!" The curtain opened. Kermit had his mouth open as he was waving. There was applause.
Letting Octavia's and Vinyl's crew musical talent speak for it's self.
After a while the curtains raised revealing the great and powerful Trixie with a prideful pose. She levitated her hat off her head and pulled Gummy the toothless baby alligator out of it. Trixie clearly confused edged her face closer to the gator. And Gummy spit out fire. Trixie's clearly soot black from neck to head. *Cough*. The curtain lowered.
The band was once again playing. And after a while Pinkie began singing again.
♪So now let's it started!♪
The two old things on the balcony sung back.
♪Why you get it started?♪
Pinkie continues singing.
♪It time get it started,♪ Now followed by her surrounding cast.
♪on the most sensational, inspirational, celebrational, invitational.♪
♪THIS. IS. WHAT. WE. CALL. THE. PINK. IE. SHOOOOOW!!♪
"Tonight." Derpy chimed in before playing the last note in her trumpet. ♪Trumpet sound♪
"Wheeee!" Said the carrot shooting out of the instrument.
"Ow." Said the Stallion who got hit by said carrot.
"Sorry." Derpy said with an apologetic grin.
"Hiya, hiya, hiya!" Said the Pink mare walking on stage. "Welcome to the Pinkie Show Tonight, I'm Pinkie Pie your host for tonight. For those who didn't read the flyers and the posters; this is a comedy variety show."
"With most likely varying success." The short old thing said on the balcony to the taller one.
"From good to bad?"
"No, from bad to horrible." They both bursted out laughing, a part of the audience laughed too.
Pinkie ignored them. "And we have a special guest star. His name is Kermit the Frog. You may never have heard of him and that's because he's from a different world. He hosted his own comedy variety show once, and he'll helping me with this one. But first, our most amazing magic user. Our most dramatic actress. Our favorite blue unicorn magician: The Great and Powerful Trixie!!" Pinkie said as moved back to backstage and then added "and her beautiful assistant; Miss Pinkamena Pie!"
The curtain raised. Showing the great and Powerful Trixie in her usual outfit and Pinkamena in a full body innocent bunny costume with a frown her face.
"Ladies and Gentlecolts! I am the Great and Powerful Trixie! And this is my gorgeous assistant: Pinkamena."
"This costume's embarrassing." She muttered with an irritated tone.
"Trixie likes it." Trixie said with honesty.
"So do I!" Pinkie said in Pinkamena's head.
"You two aren't helping the embarrassment. Grrr. Let's just get this over with..."
"I, the Great and Powerful Trrrixie will turn an orange into a squash! Pinkamena, fetch Trixie an orange!" She reluctantly called Derpy to throw her an orange into her hooves. She did.
"Here, catch!" Pinkamena said. Trixie didn't catch on quick enough to catch it, but her horn did.
"Hahaha." Pinkamena laughed and pointed at the pierced orange and it's buddy Trixie.
"Very funny..." Trixie said as she levitated the orange, enlarged it and let it drop on top of the pink mare.
"There. A squash." Curtain closed.
Backstage
"You two did a good job." Said Pinkie inside the orange.
"It was fun. I rarely have fun performing." Said going back to her dressing room.
"Good for you..." Pinkamena grumbled. "I hate oranges..."
"I don't like them either, mind-mate. But the're good for us, and we're kinda stuck. So let's keep eating." Pinkamena grumbled as she ate their head free. And they saw the guest star for the night.
"Hi Kermie!" Pinkie said.
"Hello Pinkie Pie, please call Kermit. Only one calls me Kermie. And only because I can't do anything about it."
"Okie Dokie! How're you liking the show so far?" Pinkie said still trying to eat her out of the orange.
"All one act of it." Pinkamena said after Pinkie was done with sentence.
"I must say. You've done a good job so far." The frog said.
"Really?"
"Really."
"Thank you, thank you! I've taken a few pages from your book."
"No, it's more like you bought a copy and scribbled in it. But in a good way."
"Well I wanted to spread some happiness in Manehatten, and nothing can make somepony happier like the Muppet Show. So I decided to copy it."
"Great mind set Pinkie. I'm sure you'll make a great MC. And from what I seen you also have an talented crew."
"Thank you." Pinkie finally ate herself out the orange. "Finally, I had so much trouble eating it off of me."
"As I could clearly Vitamin Cee."
"Hihi. Good one. Did you come up with yourself?"
"I think Fozzie came up with it." Kermit looked at himself. "Did you accidentally some spit orange juice on me?"
"Hmm..." Pinkie inspected him. "Doesn't like it. So nope!"
"Thank goodness... Ever been to the cleaners? It is a sickening experience."
"With Pinkamena (and by extension Pinkie Pie) stuck in an orange," Said Octavia on stage. "I'm here to present to you a poem by an author by the pen name 'The Muffin Pony' as told by our very own Miss Derpy Hooves and our special guest star; Kermit the Frog!" Curtain raised showing a stool with Derpy wearing reading glasses on it. She held the poem in her hoof with Kermit standing next to her.
"The Frog. *Ahem* The Frog." Kermit walked on stage. "The frog, creature of green. A creature greener you might've never seen."
Kermit showed of his greenness.
"They start as tiny little eggs, than become tadpoles, for land those tykes beg, they just want to feel whole."
Kermit formed a egg shape with his hands, and a have wave motion out of it. Made a begging motion and hopped un and down to symbolize he's whole.
"Once the tadpole's life gets stale, he really want to drop his tail."
Kermit sighed as he looked at his 'tail'.
"He grows legs that are strong, jumping with them, showing them of all day long."
Kermit flexed his leg muscles.
"The frogs are sometimes in masses, ready to be grabbed for the biology classes."
Kermit turned around slowly to look at the Pegasus with a horrified expression, some childhood memories were returning to him. Derpy was too focused on the poem to notice.
"In the class the frog is tied, in the he-"
"Aaaeergh!" Kermit ran back stage.
"Wait." Derpy said extended her arm. But it was too late. She shrugged and said to the audience: "He'll miss the happy ending where he escaped." Curtain closed.
"Well what whadya think of that?" Asked the short one at the balcony.
"I think it was funny." The tall one said.
"What?! Why!?"
"Imagine the pain the frog is in right now."
"Hmm. Heh-heh. That is actually pretty funny."
"What did you imagine?"
"He tripped and fell face first into a trap door!"
"Doh-ohohohoho!"
A muffled voice came from the stage. "I know that laugh from any where." A trap door opened showing Kermit. "Statler? Waldorf? What are you two doing here?"
"The Pink pony invited us." Waldorf said.
"It was an offer we couldn't refuse." Statler said.
"We wanted to..."
"But we couldn't. So we thought; Let's make the most out of it."
"By doing what we always do!"
"Doh-hohohoho."
"That's nice." Kermit closed the trap door. "I need to ask why that trap door was open."
"Why was that trapdoor open, Pinkie!?"
"Comedy."
"Whose idea was it to read that poem in front of a frog!? And who wrote it for that matter!?"
"It was Derpy's idea, and nopony knows the who the muffin pony is."
"Muffins!" Derpy said with a bag of muffins in her mouth on her way to the canteen.
"Nopony." Said Pinkie sincere. "But the poem wasn't over yet. Look here it is."
Kermit read it. "I don't like the ending."
"Why?"
"The frog gets together with pigs. What kind of moral is that? Sure it happened before. I can think of a few reasons actually. Can't believe I forgot about those. But still."
"Comedy."
"Fair enough."
"Pinkie Pie!" Trixie shouted.
"Yeah Trixie?"
"Is that sock puppet really our guest star?"
"I sure am." Kermit said.
"Tell me frog, what's so special about you."
"I'm an entertainer. I do my best to make people happy."
"But you're puppet with no strings attached."
"And I'm just as animated as you miss Trixie."
"How are your arms waving like that?"
"The sticks aren't that hard to notice, are they?" Kermit pointed at his stick connected to his right arm.
"Whatever, whatever you can. However you do it. I can do it better."
"Trixie!" Pinkamena shouted. "I thought you kicked that habit."
"Old habits die hard. And this one is no exception."
"Feel free to create your own Muppet. And try to put some heart into it. We practically run on effort, heart and happiness of others."
"Challenge accepted." Trixie ran off to her dressing room.
"It wasn't a challenge!" Trixie didn't hear Kermit.
"Sometimes I wonder why we hired her." Pinkamena said. "Prepare for your next act Kermit." The frog nodded. "Ready for the the next act Dumb Luck?"
"I still don't like this idea miss Pie, seems awfully dangerous." Said Dumb Ester Luck who stated his opinion. Dumb Luck for the record is a pure blue Pegasus with slightly darker mane. His cutie mark is a wilted four-leaf clover with the color brown and had pure blue eyes.
"Just go on stage Dummy, you're getting paid a lot for this. And you'll get most out of this if you do it successfully." Pinkamena ordered.
Pinkie was standing in front of the curtain. "For our next act we wanted our most handsomest stallion to perform it. And all we could find was Mr. Luck. So enjoy 'All By Myself' sung by Dumb Ester Luck and some of the manehatten apple family mares!" Curtain raised.

There was a boxed-in living room on stage, Dumb Luck was sitting in the middle it looking depressed. The two of the apple family were on each side of the stage. So that equals four mares.

The mares tried knockin' on the door.
♪Livin' alone.♪
♪I think of all the friends I've known.♪
♪But when I dial the telephone.♪
♪Nobody's home.♪
The mares were putting their ears against the door. "Somebahdy home?"

♪Don't wanna be, all by myself anymore.♪

♪Don't wanna live, all by myself anymore.♪
They were attempting to knock the door down. Luck just looked at the door curiously.
♪Hard to be sure.♪
♪Sometimes I feel so insecure.♪
♪And love so distant and obscure.♪
♪Remains the cure.♪
With a lot force the door on the left broke loose and hit Luck into the other door, which was also broken loose, leaving Luck door sandwiched in the middle of the room. And the whole room collapses on top of him. "I had worse." Luck said with little air. The curtains closed...
"Do you think he'll like the hospital?" Statler asked Waldorf.
"Of course he will. He'll be left alone in a room for hours."
"Doh-hohohoho."
"Whaddya know." Pinkie said. "He didn't even get to the dangerous part. He really is lucky."
"It's a shame too. That act had potential." Octavia said.
"I hope you won't take as long a time in the hospital mr. Dummy." Pinkie said.
Mr. Luck in a hospital bed said: "Considering how many times I visited, you'd think they have a Dumb Luck instant revitalize machine prepared for me. In fact the kinda do already... Don't quote me on that. If it did exist it would break once I set hoof in it."
"We'rre so sawrry we hurt ya Mr. Luck." Apple Apple said.
"Don't worry miss. Anyone could've done it." Luck was pushed away to the arrange place where the ambulance would pick him up.
"What kinda talent is dumb luck anyway?" Vinyl asked Derpy.
"Silly Vinyl, Dumb Luck is not a talent." Derpy retorted. "He's a pony."
*Facehoof* "I know but what is his talent about? Having dumb luck must be horrible."
"Not really. Dumb luck has a double meaning. Bad luck. And if somepony has won something for example that you wanted to win you might say: 'Dumb Luck' which is good luck for the pony you don't want to win."
Vinyl jaw was a little loose. "That was a surprisingly detailed analysis, at least coming from you."
"Thank you, I think."
"Pinkie Pie!"
"Yeah Trixie?"
"I heard that Luck's act has been cancelled."
"No, it's more like... put accidentally on hold... Forever." Pinkie said to put it lightly. "Needless to say we need to compose a song about pillows for him. This is like the thirtieth time this year, and it's only April."
"But there's an empty stage out there, yes?"
"Oh yeah! Almost forgot about that. It's yours until we're on schedule again."
"Thank you." Trixie said as she pulled a green puppet out of her hat. "Just introduce me how you usually do."
"With which alter-ego?" Pinkie/Pinkamena asked.
"Doesn't matter just do it." Pinkamena smiled.
"Well Ladies and gentlecolts, after the slightly unfortunate and funny accident concerning Mr. Luck, our very Trixie has decided to entertain you with puppets. Yes puppets. How the low have stayed exactly where they are. Ladies and gents... The grape and powerfool TRRRRIPSIE!!!" The curtain raised, showing a small wall with a green puppet sticking out. Trixie was hiding behind it. You could obviously see the magic holding the puppet together.
"Hello everypony." The puppet waved with obvious magic. The puppet had Trixie's voice. "I'm Irmgard the Toad, it's... great to meet you." Kermit came in. Inspecting the toad. "What do you want frog?"
"I'm trying to help you. Make your voice a little more screechy."
"Oh... You mean like this frog?" The toad said, sounding like woman on Monty Python's Flying Circus.
"It's perfect. Now the next step is to never show hands, or magic in your case. Derpy can throw some elastic bands and two long drumsticks?" She automatically threw those things their way. "Thank you. Try to attach these sticks to each arm. Are those eye made out of golf balls?"
"Yes they are. It was a pain to split into half." Trixie said trying to add the sticks to her arms.
"Try a ping pong ball next time. You've done good job on crafting her. It almost looks like me. Minus the collar and design on your eyes, including the felt eyelashes. It also looks a bit chubbier But you're not very original."
"Irmgard's supposed to be a mockery of you!" Irmgard said.
"Start mocking me then."
"Alright then." The sticks were attached and the magic controlled the mouth on the inside. You couldn't any magic to the puppet. "Um... What do you usually do again?"
"How about we sing something together instead? "
"That could work." Irmgard said. "What do you like to sing?"
"A song I haven't sung in years. All we need is a swampy background. It called 'Disco Frog'." The music started playing as the stage was being altered.

"That doesn't matter. We need two white-" Derpy threw two white suits in the frogs face. "Thank you. Here put this on and dance and sing along."

♪Folks all hurry to the edge of town.♪
♪At the bayou bank they stand and wait.♪
♪In the clear air.♪
♪Soon the water ripples catch their eye.♪
♪And the people hush and breathe a sigh.♪
♪On a lily pad all dressed in white.♪
♪They appear there.♪
Kermit started dancing and Irmgard tried her best to dance along.

♪Boogie up and down and shuffle right.♪ *(Uh-huh uh-huh)*
♪Slip and splashing in the moonlit night.♪ *(Uh-huh uh-huh)*
♪Alligators with their teeth so bright.♪
♪Smile and sway there.♪ *(Sway there)*
♪And soon the.♪ *(Uh-huh)*
♪Loons are joining in the jamboree.♪
♪Everybody's happy just like me.♪
♪Watch them dance.♪
♪On that log.♪

"Good job so far Irmgard. You could convince me that you move on your own accord."
"Thank you frog, I'll just take your word for it." She danced a little better. Somewhere on stage Gummy was air swimming around.
"Do you you wanna try sing the next part??"
"I'll wait a bit before I do."
"Suit yourself."
♪Join us by that swampy waterside.♪
♪Where we never have a thing to hide.♪
♪And it makes you feel so good inside.♪
♪Just to be there.♪
♪While the stars are sparklin' through the night.♪

They bowed.
"I get a feeling of deja-vu. Did the frog run out of ideas?"
"He did years ago before he started the Muppet Show."
"Doh-hohohoho!"
"Wowie, you two were A-MAZING!" Pinkie shouted.
"And sung surprisingly well, considering you two didn't rehearse." Pinkamena noted.
"Come on 'Mena. I do it all the time too!"
"And it never stops."
"Well it was nothing." Kermit said.
"How could you call that nothing!" Trixie shouted. "That was truly amazing like Pinkie said. If you don't mind, Pinkie can I start a new regular sketch with puppets?"
"I don't see why not. If you want play with those dolls go ahead." Pinkamena chuckled. "But seriously Pinkie and I find no problem with it."
"Anyways Trixie, glad you liked it. I'm going to rehearse for the final act now." Kermit went to the guest changing room.
"Lessee, next up is... This gonna be... unique." Pinkie was unsure if this would work. "Octy! Vinny! It's time for our act."
"Oh boy, 'Tavi. This gonna be fun."
"We'll see about that."
"The inspiration for the next act came about when our writer heard our lead musicians argue like usual. So here's Octavia Philharmonica and DJ P0N-3's improvised banter... While playing badminton, seriously?" Miss Pie said looking at the duo behing the curtain. "Ladies and Gentlecolts... Insult Badminton." The curtain raised.
On stage there was Octavia with a racket in her mouth on the left, and Vinyl on the right with a racket in her magical grip. The was a net in between them. "We're gonna play best out of 3 folks. Ladies first?" Vinyl asked goes first.
"No, you're are not enough of lady, you need desperately need to serve first."
"Suit yourself," Vinyl said as she served the first shuttle. "Let's play, I'm going to this back and forward."
"Was that punishment for my rebuttal?" *Smack*
"No." *Smack*
"Good, it was terrible." *Slam*
"I know some thing that isn't terrible." *Smack*
"Your ability to sing like a dying cat?" *Octavia smacked softly*
"Nope, my badminton skills." "Vinyl barely caught it."
"Smashing." *Smash* "1-0 for me." Octavia said proudly with pride.
Octavia - Vinyl

Vinyl grumbled. "Your turn to serve."
"Time for the second course." *Slam*
"'Tavi, we all know a lady shouldn't speak with her mouth full." *High Bounce*
"I won't, fall for that. I won't dish my shot just because you made me drop my racket." *Swipe* But she missed.
"1-1, looks like you got dished by you're own terrible pun, Heh-heh."
Octavia - Vinyl
1-1
"My turn to serve again 'Tavi. Soon I'll go home with this fantastic racket of mine with victory in hoof." *Smack*
"First you better stop waving it like a feather-duster." *High Smash* "Floop"
"You'll clean your mouth with one once I win. ........ Is it my shades or is it just dimmer? "
"It's the latter in more ways than one Vinyl. I shot it the shuttle into the lighting."
"Good, you weren't gonna need to spotlight."
"Neither do you. It's a tie."
"No that's a bow tie. You rarely wear anything else."
"Just serve another shuttle already." Octavia aggravated.
"That was our only shuttle."
Octavia's eye lid twitched at the un-professionalism of it. "Only shuttle?"
"Yup." Vinyl said as she stuck her tongue out.
Mad - Goner

"Pinkie lower the curtain before I make Vinyl even more blind!" The curtain didn't close fast enough to not show Octavia tackling Vinyl.
"You know what, that insult badminton sounds actually kinda fun." Waldorf said.
"Why's that?"
"It's heckling at it's finest. They lose and get mad."
"Heh-heheheheheh!"
A dust ball came in rolled backstage.
"Good job you two. Now try to calm down. If you're unlucky you'll meet Luck soon enough if you keep it up." Pinkamena said encouragingly.
"Are they always like this?" Kermit asked the MC.
"About 40% of the time. They calm down after one of them falls asleep, somepony shouts at them loudly or one of them says "Uncle Crescendo""
"Sheesh. They share an uncle? Are they related in any way?"
"I don't know. I just don't." Pinkamena said bluntly in a tone like she doesn't care.
"Do you have a split personality?"
"What made you think that Sherlock Einstein?"
"Oh just a hunch."
"Do you a hunch that tells you to be on stage for the final act?"
"Almost forgot about it." Kermit quickly grabbed his banjo walked on stage.
"I could slap the writer for this clumsy writing." Pinkamena said making a mean jab at me.
"But aren't we the writers in-universe?" Her alter-ego asked herself.
"That doesn't count Pinkie, Kermit wouldn't behave like that. That hunch comeback was also poorly handled."
"Speaking of hunches, don't you have an sketch to announce?"
The pink pony made an 'oh crud' face. "Onmyway."
"For our final act our tonight we wanted Kermit to play 'The Rainbow connection' or 'Bein' Green'." Pinkie Pie said. "But everypony agreed that Kermit's choice is way more fun to do. So let's see what's gonna happen in this crazy sketch in the crazy hotel." The curtain raised. Showing Kermit in a raincoat walking down a street.
"That penguin convention took a lot out of me. Hmm...It's getting late, I need to go home, but Sesame Street is miles away. I guess I need to stay at a hotel." Kermit looked to his left. "Hmm. Happiness Hotel. Seems like they expended to Equestria." Kermit entered. It was a mess, wall paper that let itself go, a few holes in the wall and floor, the carpet was scratched, etc.. Pinkie Pie the clerk was sitting behind her desk.
"Welcome to Happiness Hotel (no relation to Happiness Hotel from Great-Britain). How can I help you?"
"I need a place to rest for the night."
Pinkie Pie raised an eyebrow. "...Really?"
"Really."
"Really, really?"
"Really."
"Hey Vinyl!"
"Yeah Pinkie?" Vinyl said.
"Wake the others we need to sing the welcome song ASAP!"
"You mean we have a costumer?"
"YES!"
"'Tavi!!" Shouted Vinyl in the ear of the mare sleeping next to her.
"What is it Vinyl?!"
"A costumer!"
Octavia quickly grabbed a guitar. "We're ready Pinkie."

D: Using this batch of sleeping gas on us and robbing us blind."

"I meant option two."
"I wish more people took that option."
Trixie's turn:
♪If you've got luggage keep it handy.♪
♪But you're running out of luck.♪
♪'Cause the bellhops ain't to organized.♪
♪And the elevator's stuck.♪
Irmgard's part:
♪Still if you don't mind friendly animals.♪
♪And can learn to stand the smell.♪
♪Well, welcome home to Happiness Hotel!♪
Kermit saw Mr. Luck among the Hotel crew. "Weren't you in the hospital?"
