“O my head.” he putting his hands on his head. It was throbbing. one of the worst hangovers he had ever had. He open his eyes and look around. There was a large purple sky line fill with stars and light blue clouds. But nothing else. No mountain. No sun, or moon. it seem to glow. It then accrued to him. what am I sitting on? He look down in a panic. He was relieve to see grass under him.He turn around and saw that he was on a small pact of grass about ten feet round. He stop and look a 4 by 4 in the ground. It was in the middle of the island. It look rather new. He put his hand out and push it a little. It seem solid. He lend into it. It didn't move. He sat down and lend on the post. He look around again.
“where am I?” he said to himself. He sat there and try to think about how he ha gotten to this place. But as he did his head scream in pain. He quickly put his hand on his head and roll to his side. His head hurt really bad. It was a burning pain. He roll back and forward in pain until is finally settle. He sat up and look round.
“OK. I'm got going to try that again.” he said return to the post. He look out into the stray sky. There was something moving out behind the clouds. It look like a ball of water. He sigh.
“If only I could get out there. That help my head I bet.” he set there and watch it float father away. It was at this time he started to think about something. Something that scare every fibber of his being.
“O. god. Am I dead? Is this limbo.” he said standing up and looking around. He started to panic.
“O man. I don't want to be dead. I'm so young. Damn it.” he started to run around his little island.
“Damn it. I'm not ready to die yet.” he ran his hands through his brown hair. He started to angry.
“Mother. Damn. It all. Why me. How could this happen to me. Damn it, DAMN IT, DAMN IT!” he yell as he got angrier and angrier. He turn to the post and started to kick and punch it.
“DAMN IT, DAMN IT, DAMN IT, DAMN IT, DAMN IT, DAMN IT, DAMN IT, DAMN IT! He yell as he punch it. He stop and sat down. His hands hurt and were bleeding. He look down at his white T. there was a little blood on it. His blue tribe shirt however had a large red spot on the right shoulder. He wipe his hand on it. It was already bloody he figure. Better there then his flower shorts.
He started to tear up. He had a feeling of dread fill his chest. He put his hands to the side of his head and started to cry. He stay this way for about an hour. He wipe his eyes and nose on his shirt. He lay back and look up. The sky was the same as always. It hadn't change. Large blue cloud floated above. It cast a shadow over him. He lead up and sigh. He crack a smile. He started to laugh.
“alright. You got me. Very funny. Joke over. Come out and we can all get a good laugh.” he said looking around for someone to come out. But nothing changed. The stars, the clouds, the balls of water and the flying unicorn.
“Wait flying unicorn. I know it. I'm not dead. This is just someone idea of a joke. They must have drug me.” he said laughing.
“Damn. I wounder how long this is going to last.” he said looking around.
“Must be some really good stuff if it mess me up this much.” he laugh. He lead back on the post again and watch as the flying unicorn flew into the different balls of water. He watch for a few hours.
“OK. This is getting old. Whatever I'm on. It some really boring stuff.” he said standing up. He look up into the sky.
“God? Are you there?” he said putting his hands together.
“Liston. If it not to much trouble. Could you send me home? I really don't want to be here.” he close his eye and got on knees. He open one eye and look around. Still nothing. Close is eye again.
“come on god I do anything. Just ask.” he said. He open his eyes and look around.
“Come on god. I do the same for you.” he begged. But still nothing. He sign and sat down against the post. He close his eyes and lead his head onto the post. He let out a big sigh.
“Damn. I'm really stuck here. This suck. But maybe it won't be to bad. I at less got a good view.” he said opening his eyes and looking in front of him. He didn't move. He didn't know what to do. The flying unicorn was looking at him. It cock it head to the right and then the left. His mind race. Should I try to run. But were could I run to? I'm on this small floating island. Maybe I could fight it. I mean it only a horse with wings and a horn. Then again it was different looking. His head started to hurt again he grab it and roll over in pain.
“Aaaaaaaa.” he cry out in pain. It lasted for a few minute.
“Are you OK?” low and sweet voice said. The pain stop. He sat up and look at the weird horse.
“You can talk?” he ask.
“Yes. As can you.” she said
“But your a flying unicorn. How can you talk?” he ask.
“I'm an Alicorn and what manner of creature are you?” she ask. He sat there but he couldn't remember. It was like his mind had been wipe of everything about himself.
“I don't know. I can't remember.” he said rubbing his head. Sweat ran down the side of his face. He wipe his hand across his forehead and pull it away quickly as pain shot through his head. He move his and up again. This time slowly and lightly. He felt a bump. A big bump.
“Are you alright? Your horn seem a bit red.” she ask.
“Horn. I don't have a horn. But I must have bang my head good.” he said pointing it and pulling his hand away.
“O dear. I'm sorry. I didn't know. I've never see a creature like you before.” she said.
“It find.” he said. He look at her. She was staring at me. It giving me chills. She quickly look down she release what she was doing.
“I’m sorry for staring. Your fur is a weird.” she said. He sat there confuse. Fur. Dose she mean my hair. It brown. That can't be that odd. He look down at his shirt and shorts. The tribal shirt and flower shorts.
“They call cloth.” he said. He ears seem to perk up.
“O. like a dress or saddle?” she said. Now he was the confuse one. Horses in dresses? He shook it off. He had a million question and she seem to be the only one here.
“Were are we? What is this place?” he ask.
“o. right. This is the dream scape. The place were all pony's dream.” she told him.
“Dream scape. So I'm dreaming?” he ask. She put a hoof to her chin.
“I don't think so. You see these bubbles up there.” she pointed at the balls of water.
“Ya.” he said.
“Those are pony's dreaming right now. If you were asleep. You be in one of those.” she said. This news didn't make him feel any better. If anything it made him feel worse.
“OK. So I’m dream. That mean all I have to do is wake up.” he said standing up. He walk over to the edge of the island and look down.
“what are you doing?” she ask.
“I'm going to jump and shock myself awake.” he said and jump off. He felt the wind against his face. He look down and wounder how far the ground was. But that thought fade as a large bubble appear under him. He wave his arms and kick. But it was worthless. He close his eye and slam into the bubble. He open his eyes and blink a few times. There were pony's all over. They were all looking at this little white unicorn.
“Sweety Bell, Sweety Bell.” They all cheer. He walk forward. There was a little white pony on a stage. He pass through the cheering pony's as if he was a ghost. The little White pony was singing. It was soft and sweet. It drew him closer and closer until he was arm length away. He reach out. She open her eyes and look down at him.
“EEEEEEEEEECK!” she scream. The world around him seem to shredder. He put his hands over his ears and close his eye.
“Are you OK?” he open his eyes. The alicorn was standing in front of him. He was back were he start.
“What was that?” he ask.
“That was the dream bubble of a young pony name Sweety Bell. You enter it and scare the poor dear.” she said shaking her head.
“I'm sorry I didn't mean to.” he said. Feel a bit guilty.
“No. It your felt. Once in a dream. You're draw to the source of the dream. Or to put it simply. The dreamer. So you couldn't help yourself.” she said. A loud bell started to ring. The bubble seem to vanish.
“What going on?” he ask.
“Pony's are starting to awake. Which mean I must leave you for now. Mr..... I'm sorry I forgot to get your name.” she said.
“My name?” he said. He try to think of it. But his head started to hurt so he stop.
“O. how silly. It here on you shirt.” she point at a white sticker on his white T. He quickly pull it off. It read. Hello my name is Ken.
“So I'm ken.” he said looking down at the name tag.
“Well Mr. Ken. I will return tomorrow night. Try to stay out of trouble.” she said taking flight.
“Wait what your name?” he call out. She stop mid air.
“My name is Luna. Luna moon.” she said flying into a bright yellow cloud.
“Luna moon. Well at less I'll have someone to help me. I hope.” he said leaning back on the post.
Chapter 2: The flow of Dreams
Ken lead Against the post and watch the sky as he waited for Luna to return. The clouds move slowly across the starry sky. The large yellow cloud was the only one that seem not to move. The hours seem to past slowly. There were a few dream bubbles flowing around. After his last experience in a dream. He was a little curious. He started to wonder if he could resist the pull. But without making another blind jump off his island. This would have to wait. Beside. Luna had told him to stay out of trouble. Even tho he didn't know if he could trust her yet. After all. She was an alicorn. He still didn't know what that meant. But she seem nice enough. He stood up and walk to the edge of the island. He look down. It seem to go on forever. But he was done waiting. If this was the Dream scape. The place were dreams floated around as things slept. Then all he had to do was shock himself to wake up.
“All right here we go.” he said taking a few step back. He felt his heel on the back of the post. He shook his head a few times. He was Nervous. If he jump and it was Bottomless. He would be falling forever. He took a deep breath and Bolted of the post. He jump and dove head first. His fears soon sank in as he fell. There seem to be a cloud bank ahead. That means they could be ground underneath them. He Thought. He put his arms up as he hit the cloud bank. Once through he looked around. It was the same as were he came from. That's when he saw it. Another little green island. It look the same as his. He spread his arms out. He try to roll. But it didn't seem to work. He pass it and continue down. There was another cloud bank ahead.
“Here we go again.” he said as he enter the cloud bank. He seem to be picking up speed. He broke out of the cloud bank and look around again. There was yet another island to his right. It look the same as his. This time he tucked his arms in and roll. This seem to move him closer to the little island. But yet again he miss. There was another cloud bank ahead. If it was anything like the last two. There would be another small island and this time he be close enough to hit it. That would do it. He wake up for Sure.
“I hope this works!” he yell as he pass through the cloud bank. He was above the island this time. He was heading for the ground now. He took a deep breath and close his eyes. He ready himself for the on coming pain.
“KEN!” he open his eyes and look to the left. It was Luna. She was flying fast to him. He look back down at the island. It was coming up fast. He look back to Luna. Her horn was glowing. He watch her as he fell. It stop glowing. He shook his head and look down. There was a dream bubble a head. She had move it in front of him. He cross his arms and slam into it.
“oooo, my head.” he said sitting up. He was in a Garden. There were pony's in fancy outfits. A white unicorn was Surrounded by a group of pony's in suits. It is plain to see the white unicorn was a girl and the others were all boys.
“There you are.” he turn to see Luna behind him.
“I thought I told you to stay out of trouble.” she said looking very cross.
“sorry. I was trying to wake up.” he said looking down to her.
“well you can't.” she said still very cross with him.
“what do you mean I can't?” he ask.
“we can talk later. Right now I have to work.” she said walking away. She headed for a wooded area. He look over to the white unicorn and then back to Luna. He really wanted to go over to the unicorn. but Luna was more Interesting. He walk after her. He watch from a Distance. She walk Through the woods. Ken rub his hands together. There seem to be a chill in the air. Luna horn glow. Then she vanish.as soon as she was gone. something ran pass him. He turn as it ran behind him. It was a dark blur. It ran pass him again. He turn. It was running around him. He jerk his head around as it ran around him. It stand just on the outside of his Vision. He stop and close his eyes. He took a deep breath and open them. The thing was now standing in front of him. It look like a little ball. It had two noodle like arms. razor shape claws for hands. It's legs were thicker then it arms. Like two bent baseball bats. It feet were small. Really small. Like a pair of small cell phones.
“What in the world are you?” he ask cocking his head to the side. The thing scratched it head with it Hind leg.
“aaahh. You so cute.” he said bending down.
“raaaaaawwwww” it scream. Ken quickly turn and started to run.
“O crap!” he yell. He look over his shoulder. It was chasing him and Gaining. The edge of the woods was just up ahead. He just had to get back to the area were the white unicorn was.
“Over here you idiot.” he look to the right. It was Luna. He turn and head for her.
“What the hell is this thing?” he yell as he ran pass Luna.
“It's called a dream eater. They eat the left over Remains of dreams when a pony wake up.” she said running next to him.
“They?” he ask looking back. There was a wall of them. They were all swinging they long arms and chopping they large teeth.
“Jump on.” Luna start nodding her head to her back. It was a better then staying here he figure. He jump on and grab around her neck. She started to flap her wings. He look down as she took flight.
“Hold tight.” she said as they headed for a large cloud. He close his eyes as they pass through it.
“Ok. You can let go now. Your safe.” Luna said. He open his eyes. He was on his island again. He look up at Luna. He was still holding her neck. Some how he had Managed to roll under her neck. He let go.
“ok. Now that your safe I can kill you for causing me all that trouble.” she Scolded him. He back up and smack his head into the post.
“och.” he said rubbing the back of his head. He look up at Luna. She look very cross with him. He put on a fake smile. She sigh.
“Look. Let me tell you what I've learn.” she said sitting down. Ken lead onto the post. He was ready for some answers.
“I don't know how you got here. But if I had to guess. I say you were in an accident and now your trapped here.” she told him.
“Ok.. what kind of Accident? And how do I get out of here?' he ask. Luna look up at the starry sky.
“I don't know and It not like I can Simply send you home.” she said looking back to him.
“So what can we do?” he ask. Luna put a hoof to here chin.
“Well. Let start with what you remember from your world.” she said. Ken look up into the sky. The pain was the first thing he remember. Every time he try to remember something. His head started to hurt. But it was Worth a shot.
“Ok.. I'll try.” he said readying himself. He close his eyes.
“Anything?” Luna ask.
“It not like it easy for me. I get a shape pain each time I try.” he told her.
“ok. I didn't know.” she said.
“it fine. Just let me Concentrate.” he said. Luna sat there and watch ken.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA” he scream and grab his head. He roll around in pain. She jump up and watch on in horror. He finally stop and sat up.
“Are you ok?” she ask.
“Other then a Splitting headache. Ya I'm fine.” he said.
“did you remember anything?” she ask.
“No. the pain was really Intense. I couldn't remember a single thing.” he said. Luna sat back down and put a hoof on her chin.
“i wish I was better at magic. Then I could use a memory spell on you.” she said.
“Memory spell?” he ask rubbing his head.
“We could use it to help you remember. If only.” she said.
“THAT IT!” she jump up and yell. Ken jump in fear.
“What it?” he ask.
“O. but she now asleep yet.” she said looking around the sky. Ken look up. There were so many dream bubbles. It had to be late in here world.
“Who?” he ask. Luna Wasn't paying attention to him. She was lose in Thought.
“maybe I could get on of her friend to give her a message. But who?” she said walking around in Circles.
“Who are you talking about?” he ask. But Luna was still Ignoring him.
“There.” she pointed at a large pink bubble.” she said flying up.
“WAIT!” he yell. She stop mid flight.
“what going on?” he ask.
“I'm going to get some help.” she said. She flew into the Pink bubble. Ken stood up.
“O no. you are not just going to leave me here.” he said line himself up with the pink bubble. He ran in a full sprint and dove for the bubble. He close his eyes as he enter. The sound of music soon fill the air. He open his eyes and sat up. He look around.
“We're in the hell am I?” he said looking around. There were hills of ice cream. Cotton candy trees. Large candy bushes. A cloud pass by. It was rain Chocolate. There was a Pink Pony singing a song. (Chocolate rain) He stood up and look around for Luna.
“O. hello there. Who are you? I don't know you. And I know everyone.” he turn around. It was the pink pony. It had a big bushy pink main. she had a big smile.
“I'm Ken.” he said Nervously. She jump around him and look him over.
“Wooooooow. Your really tall. Are you a Giant? I've never met a giant before. This is so cool. About 20 percent cooler.” she said still jumping around.
“aaaaaa. I'm a human.” he said. She stop jump and look confuse.
“what a human?” she ask. Ken slap his forhead.
“I'm a human.” he said.
“But what type of Creature are you?” she said.
“Mmmmmm.” she said putting a hoof to her chin.
“Are you a monkey of some kind Or maybe a hairless Raccoon that learn to walk and talk. O o o. I know your a Scaleless Dragon.” she said jumping up and down. Ken felt strange. He look down at his hands. They change into chimp hands follow by small raccoon hands and then into claws.
“AAAAAa. What going on here?” he said falling back in a panic. He sat up and look at his hands again. They were back to normal.
“what just happen?” he ask.
“Because Pinky Pie was thinking it.” he look over and saw Luna walking up.
“Hello Princess Lu Lu. How are you today?” Pinky Pie ask.
“I'm fine. I see you met my friend ken. He like to cause trouble for me.” she said with a smile.
“Ya. He funny.” Pinky said.
“Yes Pinky very funny.” she said giggling.
“what so funny?” he ask. A mirror Appeared in front of him. He was dress like a clown. He Frowned and cross his arms. A cloud Appeared over his head and started to rain Chocolate. Pinky pie put her head under the cloud and drank a mouthful.
“Ok pinky I think you had Enough fun. I need your help.” Luna said. Her horn glow and thing return to normal. Well as normal as Pinky Pie dream could get.
“aaaaa. But I was having fun.” she said.
“I know. But Ken here need your help.” Luna told her.
“Right what can I do?” She said standing at attention and saluting Luna.
“I need you to wake up and go to Twilight Sparkles. Then tell her to go to sleep so I talk to her.” Luna told pinky.
“Right.” Pinky said popping into confetti. The next thing Ken knew. Both him and Luna were back on his island.
“Now we wait.” Luna said sitting next to ken. Time seem to drag on as Luna waited for this Twilight sparkle to go to sleep. Ken wounder what her World was like. Was it like pinky Pie dream or something else.
“So. What your world like?” he ask. Luna look over to him in shock. she wasn't expecting that type of question.
“well. Equstrea is a world full of joy and hope. We have many creatures of all shapes and sizes. It hard to Explain. I've never had to before.” she said rubbing her starry main.
“I know. Let me show you.” she said standing up.
“Wait. What? I Thought you said I was trap here.” he said.
“You are. But that Doesn't mean I can't show you.” she said. Ken stood up.
“Climb on.” she said nodding to her back. He did as she said. She jump into the air and took flight. He wounder what kind of world she live in. they head for a large yellow cloud.
“here we go.” Luna said. Ken held his breath as they pass into the moon bubble. He could Hardly wait to see what kind of world Luna live in.
