No pony knows about how or why the Everfree Forest came to be, most don't even care as they avoid the place because it's dangerous, but two treasure hunters unwittingly unleash an ancient ruler from the distant past who seems to be targeting the Elements of Harmony. And Princess Celestia sends a single pony to help Twilight and her friends overcome this ordeal, but what does this Mentor and Twilight and her friends have to do with the history of the ancient Kingdom of Everfree which was destroyed long ago.
