"Gooooooood Morning Mr. Cake!" Pinkie Pie greeted happily upon seeing her friend/boss/landlord, who was standing behind the counter with his apron on.

"Hello Pinkie." Mr. Cake smiled. "You seem pretty perky this morning- Well, more perky then normal, anyway."

"Really? I thought I always greeted you with five extra 'o's."

"...Beg pardon?"

"Well, ya see-"

"You know, on second thought I think I'm fine."

"Oh, okay. Well guess I'll see ya later! I gotta get to Applejack's, I heard her whole family's comin' for a shindig. Shindig, shindig shindig, that's a funny word isn't it Mr. C?"

"Well, I guess it is. Oh! And before I forget, some mail came for you." Mr Cake went over to the far end of the counter and got a couple of letters, and then handed them to Pinkie. Pinkie Pie glanced at both, one was from her Granny Pie, and the other was from- Pinkie gasped.

"Something wrong, Pinkie?"

Pinkie suddenly hid the letters behind her back as her cheeks began to turn red. "...Nope... Notta thing! I'll be-uh, upstairs!' Then Pinkie dashed upstairs leaving a confused Mr. Cake.

Pinkie Pie's room...

Pinkie Pie jumped on her bed and quickly opened the letter:

Dear Pinkie Pie,

How are ya? I'm doing pretty well, it's gotten a lot busier in little Apploosa, but we're handling it ok. How's Ponyville?

I'm hoping to visit this weekend because of the Apple family reunion.

Anyway, the reason I was letting you know is because, well, ever since you left, I've been thinking about you, a lot, I really appreciate how much you wanted to help us and the buffalo, so, anyway, I was hoping maybe we could meet up somewhere, just catch up with you and to talk about...stuff...

Wow, this is harder then I thought.

Well, Pinkie, basically what I'm asking is, 'would you want to go out on a date?'

You said there aren't many men in Ponyville, and I was kind of hoping you might not be seeing anyone.

If you are I completely understand, you're so sweet and nice and pretty, I wouldn't blame every guy in the world to ask you out.

Well, that's about it. Hope to see you this weekend!!

Braeburn.

Pinkie re-reads the letter twice. 'Braeburn wants to go out on a date? With me?!' She thought. She never admitted it to anyone, not even her friends, but she had had a small crush on the farmer. The biggest reason she had for not mentioning it was because it would get real awkward when she'd tell Applejack she had a small crush on her cousin.

Well, not a small crush, a medium sized crush.

More of a not quite big, but still pretty large crush.

Alright, alright, she had an enormous crush on Braeburn, but who could blame her? He loved making new friends, he made sure everyone who came to Apploosa had a warm welcome, not to mention how cute he looked in that cowboy hat.

Pinkie got off her bed and grabbed her helmet, pads, and Gummy. "C'mon Gummy, we're gonna see an expert on the matter!" Pinkie grinned.

Later...

Pinkie Pie pulled her small pink motor scooter to a stop behind a 1989 white Mazda MX-5 Miata. Pinkie kicked the kickstand and leaned the scooter on its side. She then entered the small boutique where her friend Rarity worked/lived. She took off her helmet, revealing her pet alligator Gummy holding on to Pinkie's hair for dear life. Said pink party pony giggled and nabbed gummy off her head, she then sat him down next to a light pole and put a leash on him. "I'm sorry Gummy, but you remember what happened last time you and Opal got together."

Two words: Cat fight.

One that Gummy lost.

Pinkie tickled the gator's chin before entering the frilly boutique...

Upon entering, Pinkie Pie saw Rarity sitting at her desk, drawing...something...Pinkie Pie walked over to her friend and asked. "Watcha makin' Rarity?"

"Eek!" Rarity suddenly jumped up to the ceiling and held on to a chandelier for dear life.

Now that she had a chance to see what her friend was working on, Pinkie looked at the drawing: It was, well, a head. "Ooh! Nice dress! Can I have onna these invisible dresses?"

Rarity, let go of the chandelier and used her magic to land on a couple dozen pillows. "They're not 'invisible dresses', I haven't started yet."

"Oh! But wouldn't an invisible dress be cool? Then ya could go to a party and scare everybody outta their socks! I scared Caramel outta his socks once, he had a bunch of flowers and was at Fluttershy's house, but then I asked him 'Watcha doin'?' and he jumped so hard his shoes and socks came off! And then when Fluttershy heard Caramel yell she opened the door which made Caramel run barefoot allllllll the way ta Sweet Apple Acres XD."

Rarity looked at Pinkie with her glasses perched at the end of her nose and looking over them. "This isn't why you came, is it?"

Pinkie shook her head. Then began to grow a little quieter, "I, uh, came to ask you for some advice."

Rarity raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah..." Pinkie handed Rarity the letter. Rarity slid the glasses back on her nose and read the letter. When she had finished a squeal of delight left her lips.

"So Braeburn wants to go out with you?"

"Yeah..." Pinkie dug her toe in the floor. "Do you think you could help me? I've never been on a date, before."

"Really?"

Pinkie nodded.

"Well darling, I think it's time we ended that." Rarity grabbed some cloth, scissors, and some thread. "Let's get to work."
