It was mid afternoon for the city of Cloudsdale. The sun is shining and the weather was absolutely perfect, but most important of all it was friday. Yes, friday the most greatest day of the week. This day basically mark the end for workers, so that that they can enjoy the weekends.

Every friday is usually the same, workers leaving their place of work and children leaving school so that they can enjoy the weekend. Each pony has their own way of celebrating, they either stay home and relax, go shopping, see a movie, visit friends or family, go on dates, and so on.

This weekend, however is going to be extra special for a certain blue stallion with spiky rainbow mane. Near the edge of the city lays a cloud house. There is nothing particularly interesting about this house except for a the mailbox with Wonderbolts stickers on it.

In this house is an adult stallion sitting comfortably on his couch while reading a book. The blue stallion is waiting for a visitor, so to pass the time he picked up a book and started reading. He was never much of a reader, but he does understand the appeal of reading.

Before he could read any further he heard the ringing of the door bell. Upon hearing the sound he got up and trotted to the front door. He then look through the tiny glass hole and saw a light blue pegasus with Rainbow mane.

Smiling the blue stallion unlock the door and opened it. He is then greeted by the sight of his daughter Rainbow Dash.

"Hey Dad" she greeted her father with a simple wave of her hoof.

"Oh Dash!, it's so great that you are here!" he said with much enthusiasm as he hugged her daughter.

"Oh it's been too long Dash" he continued to hug her daughter.

"Yeah, it's too long as well dad" Dash spoke as she too return the hug.

After maintaining the hug for a couple of seconds both pony released from each other, the father went back in and the daughter followed.

"Boy we sure have a lot of catching up to do huh Dash?"

"Yeah we sure do dad, but can we do this over some food cause I'm hungry!" she stated.

The blue stallion couldn't help but smile at his daughter's remark, he does missed the time he spent with her. When she just a little filly she quite the hoofful, almost everyday is an endurance test trying to raise her. She had a lot of energy and boy did she use them well.

Thankfully he had his wife to help out and raise the young filly. Firefly was the name of his wife and he knew where Dash got her personality from. Despite all the trouble their daughter caused they both still love her with all their hearts.

When Dash grew old enough and left, the house got a lot more quieter. Before he lived a peaceful life with wife in this house, unfortunately a tragedy struck and she is no longer around. Now the lone blue stallion live in his empty house with nopony to share with.

Deciding not to let the pass ruin this weekend , he immediately focused on the task at hoof and made dinner. After a hour of cooking and the offer of help from Dash, dinner was done and they both dig in. During the dinner they both started chatting with each other.

The two family member talked about their lives and how things were going. From his daughter he learned that she is still a weather pony, but is trying out for the wonderbolts.

He was glad that Dash is still following her dreams. From her father she learned that his dad got a promotion at the rainbow factory, he now has his own office and everything.

Once dinner was done Dash called a night and headed to her old room. Unbeknownst to Rainbow Dash, her dad was looking at her curiously. During dinner he could feel that his daughter wanted to say something, but each time she just close her mouth or change to another subject.

He decides not to press on because he feels that if his daughter wanted to say something, she would do it when she's ready. He then headed to his room and slept, preparing for the plans they got for tomorrow.

The next day both ponies woke up and ate breakfast. For the rest of the day both him and his daughter hung out together. They went to a movie, go shopping, and even saw an air show performance by the Wonderbolts. All day Rainbow wanted to tell her dad something, but just froze up and remain silent about it.

The next day the blue stallion was preparing lunch for a picnic, when his daughter interrupted him.

"Hey dad" she asked nervously. "Can you sit down for a moment."

Sensing where this is going, he sat on a chair and prepared for what his daughter is going to say. One in his seat Dash sat on a chair and faced him.

"You see, dad" the light blue mare spoke. "I've been seeing somepony."

Surprised by this the father responded instantly. "Well congratulation, Dash." he said happily. "So who is this lucky pony?" he asked "who is he?"

"He is a she, dad" Dash corrected.

Upon hearing this, it took him a second to process this. "So what she like?" he asked nonchalantly.

"Wha-what?" Dash repliedtaken back by his response.

"I asked who is she?" the stallion pressed on "Do I know her? how did you two meet? is this mare treating you well?" he kept questioning her, much to the confusion of the light blue mare.

"So dad, you're not bother that I'm a fillyfooler?" she questioned her dad.

"Why would I be?" he simply answered. The stallion then got and put his hoof on her shoulder and looked into her eyes. "Dash, I don't care that you like fillies. All I care is that you're happy with it and that you shouldn't really be ashamed about it."

Upon hearing those words leaving his mouth, Dash got up and hugged her father. The blue stallion didn't say anything and just returned the hug.

"So Dash, please tell me about this mare?"

"Well basically I met her at this apple farm. She's very strong and awesome as well. Also she pretty hot as well" Dash continue on, telling her dad about the this special mare. "Man I should really introduce you to her sometimes dad."

The father then frown and look at his daughter. "Dash, I don't want you bringing her here" in a harsh tone. Dash was shocked by the sudden change of attitude. "But, why?" she questioned him.

The blue stallion smirked. "Because, if she were here, she would've turned straight upon seeing me" he chuckled at the last part. This got a laugh out of the mare and soon they both started laughing.

"Don't kid yourself dad, you're not that good looking" the cyan mare said while still recovering from the laugh.

The stallion just smiled and picked up the lunch. "Come on, Dash we better get going or else we won't be enjoying the rest of our day" he pointed out as he trotted to the door.

"Yeah, alright dad I'm coming" Dash said as she trot of to her father.

As the father opened the front door, he suddenly remembered something. "Oh Dash, by the way what's her name?"

The cyan pegasus heard the question just as she got out of the front door. "Oh, her name is Macareina" she said as she closed the door behind her.
