Ordered Sunset Shimmer, charging a powerful, electromagnetic blast within her hands to obliterate the 6. "Twilight has tried to interfere with my plans ONE too many times already!" The blast, now converged as a swirling fireball, was brought up swiftly above her head. "She needs to be DEALT with." In one blinding movement, Sunset Shimmer launched the fireball at the 6, watching eagerly, eagerly, until it collided with and seemingly vaporized in 6 in a massive cloud of smoke. "Ha...HahahahahHAHAHa-" She glanced down. There, the 6 remain, unharmed, in a impenetrable, glowing barrier. "...What?" Blurted Sunset Shimmer, uncomprehendingly. The 6 looked at each other, at the barrier, and back again at each other in disbelief as they realized they were protected from Sunset Shimmer as if by God. Suddenly, a previously unseen man turned and ran towards the back of Canterlot High School. "The magic contained in my element was able to unite with those that helped create it." Echoed behind the man as a phosphorescent light emerged from behind the school, only partially shielded by the 6 girls who had gained the power of flight, with other powers obviously being inferred. The man paused once behind the school and quickly took out his phone dialing in a number rapidly. "Hello." A deep voice answered the phone, gravelly and toughened from years of age. "We've got an unknown force from an obviously extraterrestrial source. Location, Canterlot High School, pinpoint my position using GPS. This force is of extreme threat, raise national security to DEFCON 2. Send the nearest F-22 Raptors to my location, loaded for bear, the target will be obvious from far further than lock on distance." The man calmly said. "Roger that, F-22s are already being deployed, ETA 20 minutes to your location. Paint the target." "Affirmative." The runway lights glowed brightly on the aircraft carrier as the pilots performed their final checks. "All signs are green. Sound off." "Roger that Mobius 1. Mobius 3 standing by." "Mobius 2 standing by." "Mobius 4 standing by. Let's get those bastards." "Roger that, Mobius 4. Mobius 1, taking off." The F-22 quickly accelerated and took off of the aircraft carrier, followed promptly by the others. "Everyone caught up? Prepare to accelerate, Mach 1.5." "Roger that." Came the automatic response of 3 other voices. With that, the F-22s accelerated into the darkness, navigable only by advanced avionics. Quickly, land came into sight. The pilots looked around for their target, marked on the radar as being within 3 minutes. "I don't see anything yet Mobius 1." Mobius 4 declared. "Just wait, it'll come into--- wait a minute. What is that light?" On the horizon, a blindingly white light began to become apparent. "Target in sight. Men, prepare your gradual descent." "Roger that." The F-22s decelerated to Mach .75 and began to go down at a slight angle. The school came into sight, the students invisible through the blinding light. "Arm your missiles." The men flipped open the latch on the joystick, revealing a red button. "Missiles armed." "On my cue men. Ready.... Fox 6." Immediately, all 4 pilots released 6 compressed-carriage medium range missiles at the light. Twilight Sparkle turned around, but, the missiles travelling in surplus of 300 miles per hour, barely comprehended the glare off the warhead before it impacted her directly. The missile sunk itself into Twilight Sparkle's flesh for only a moment before detonating. Instantly, Twilight's abdomen was blown into pieces, two distinct halves of her body were visible for a split second before 2 more missiles exploded around her friends. Applejack had already been torn to shreds by the missile that hit Twilight, she was missing an eye and a leg, in addition to her hat, which had simply vaporized. It was no wonder she had been made fun of so much for it, it was apparent it was made of only the cheapest materials. Twilight's entrails and intestines were splayed across her face before those 2 missiles impacted around those Applejack and Twilight. The first missile sent Applejack's belt buckle flying into Rarity's side, penetrating her liver and destroying it completely. Applejack was gone, only shreds of her blue dress remained. The second missile blew off Twilight's left leg from her severed lower half and impaled her high heel in Fluttershy's forehead. Instantly, Fluttershy was dead as the high heel severed her brain stem. Blood spurted out from the wound and Fluttershy's eyes rolled back in her head, blank, glazed over, as her body fell out of the sky. 3 more missiles exploded around them. Pinkie Pie was still holding onto Rainbow Dash's hand. The entire upper half of Rainbow Dash's arm had disappeared, however. A piece of shrapnel had perfectly scalped the left side of Rainbow Dash's head. Only half of the rainbow remained. It had only been a hundredth of a second. Pinkie Pie was still smiling, but it was an unusual smile with her muzzle severed off and the bottom half of her jaw remaining. Pieces of her own teeth penetrated straight up into her skull, leaving the top of her head looking like a tennis racket covered in blood. The rest of the pieces entered Rainbow Dash's left thigh, creating a cavity in her leg that completely separated the leg from her body. Her femur remained, however, covered in bits of muscle and tissue and blood. Twilight Sparkle had vanished. Applejack was long gone. Fluttershy was heading for the ground with a high heel impaled in her forehead, all the fingers missing on her left hand now. Pinkie Pie was falling along side her, the wounds in their bodies creating a twisting pattern of blood and muscle like a double helix. Rainbow Dash fell alone, half of her head and one leg and arm gone, her body penetrated completely by shrapnel. How ironic that the last thing her body would see was a quick descent to the ground. Rarity remained, and time sped up. Rarity could see only for a few moments her friends who remained in any significant pieces. "Why would this happen?" She thought to herself. Her thoughts were interrupted by her life flashing before her eyes, but this too, was interrupted by her head exploding on the concrete. Bits of skull and brains spread across a radius of several meters. The shoe had become further lodged in her side. Her legs were bent the wrong way, and her shoulders were out of their sockets. The rest of the missiles hit the school, entering the hole in it that Sunset Shimmer had created in it. Pipes that previously ran through the walls exploded outwards, and the previously uninjured, blinded, and dazed Sunset Shimmer was torn through with hot metal, shredding off her arms, a foot, the top top of her head. Her hair vaporized and her brain was visible before it too, was torn away by shrapnel. The children exploded instantly, Scootaloo's head flew towards the sky, Trixie's smug face had been torn off, Flash Sentry's legs were taken out from under him. Only destruction remained as the immediate area of the school collapsed in. The smoke settled slightly. "The light's gone, the light's gone. Mission successful men, good shots." Exclamations of joy echoed throughout the radio channel as the men simultaneously congratulated each other. It was a job well done. The man came out from behind the school and looked blankly at the carnage. The military would clean it up. He called the gravelly voice. "Mission success." "Affirmative, lowering the national security level to DEFCON 3." With that, he turned and hung up, with only the intention to return to base and write the report on what had happened. He got in his car and drove off. The air smelled of smoke and the sky had been further darkened by the missiles. Out of the carnage, and arm was seen moving. It pulled what remained of his body out from the bodies of his cohorts. Flash Sentry was there, his legs severed, shrapnel riddling his body, his left eye swollen. He pulled himself out of what remained of the school and turned over onto his back, staring up at what was previously the sky, but was now only black, black smoke. "...Twi-- Twilight..." He said weakly, before a shaking breath escaped his body and a bubble of blood escaped his lips. His eyes remained open, staring upwards at the smoke.
